Bennie held something clasped in her hand as she bounced onto her bed in front of Logan. She shuffled it between her hands and then leaned her arms around his neck, twisting the clasp together. She straightened the necklace on his collar bone, stopping to rub the obsidian trident. "I thought you might like it for some reason."

Logan waited for Bennie to finish fastening the necklace to open his eyes. He looked down to see an obsidian trident dangling from a silver chain. He smiled, meeting Bennie's eyes. "It's great. How'd you know I like tridents?" he joked, laughing slightly. He could practically feel Bennie's soft touch through the trident around his neck. He stared into her eyes for a moment, she was only a few inches away from him, it was the perfect moment. Logan put a hand on Bennie's back and pulled her into a soft kiss.

Bennie's breath caught in her throat, she couldn't breathe. For almost three years she had waited for this. Adrenaline pumped viciously through her veins and she slipped her hands around Logan's neck, holding him for a second longer in their kiss. She put the space between them again, her hands falling away from him. Holding his gaze, Bennie's eyes held a mixture of confusion, excitement, and love.

Time Skip, the Next Day Logan sat alone at the Poseidon table the next day. He picked half heartedly at his eggs. He couldn't seem to take his eyes off Bennie who sat two tables away. They sat facing each other with Zeus's table in between them. Zeus's table was made of platinum with a golden lightning bolt in it. Up at the big table, Chiron called for attention, "Now, as your activites director I would like to inform you all that in one week from today we shall all be travelling to Olympus for the Summer Solsitce Ball. It is to be a formal event, so dress appropriately. Remember, stay classy, nothing too... revealing." he said, looking at the Aphrodite girls. The pavilion had been filled with excited whispers. Logan locked eyes with Bennie and smiled a little. "That's all, you may go about your activities." he told them.

Bennie couldn't eat, she didn't know what to think about yesterday. She had wanted it to happen, she'd been trying to get the nerve up for almost three years, but now it scared her. She wasn't quite sure where this left her and Logan. Were they still best friends? Or wee they more now? Not to mention all that could run though her mind now was that Logan felt the same way about her that she did for him.
"...dress..."
The Summer Solstice Ball. She needed to make her dress. Bennie decided this way a good way to rid herself of her thoughts about Logan and quickly cleared her plate then disappeared off to her cabin to start a pattern for her new gown.

Logan sigh sadly as Bennie walked out of the Pavillion. She had been avoiding him since yesterday. He'd tried to talk to her mulitple times but she always found an excuse to run away. He'd tried to confront her a total of seven times just that morning.
Logan got up angrily, leaving his half eaten food and stormed out of the pavilion. He made his way down the trail to Bennie's cabin, knocked on the door once and entered without bothering for a respone. "Bennie, we need to talk." he told her. "About yesterday..." he added.
"I mean, did I do something wrong," he asked. "Because you didn't really seem to hate me for it yesterday, but now...

Startled by the sudden entrance, Bennie jumped in her seat, the thin shapes of paper scattering in the gust from her motion. She jumped from her seat and turned to face the intruder, even more blown away that it was Logan. With a sigh, she leaned back on the table, unsure of how to explain herself to him. Bennie was never very good with words. "I don't hate you Logan. I just..." She trailed off, looking for the right words, "I'm just confused. I don't really know what to think now. I mean, where does this leave us? You're my best friend, I'm not supposed to have feelings like this for you."

Logan crossed the cabin floor to Bennie and took her hand, "Bennie, maybe we're more than friends. If you've been thinking the same as me, then you've been thinking this way for a long, long time. I've known for months that I wanted to be with you..." he murumured.

Bennie's lip quivered, "I've know for years." Her voice cracked on years. She didn't make an effort to worm her way out of Logan's grip, instead she gripped his hand in her's. "It's just, part of me has always expected you to crush those feelings, to somehow make it known you didn't want me like that. And it's weird, you know, having expected that for so long and then to have the exact opposite happen." She didn't cry, but her eyes danced to the floor, avoiding Logan's gaze. "I just don't know what to think."

Logan smiled at Bennie and knelt to meet her eyes, "Then don't think, Bennie. Just let it go by, I mean theres that ball coming up. I would like it if we could go together, and not have to worry about any rejections or disappointments. I'll never hurt you. So let's go to this ball and just dance through life." he said with an encouraging smile.

A weak smile broke Bennie's lips and she threw her arms around Logan's shoulders as she fell to her knees. "I'd be glad to go with you." She sat there for a moment before leaning back on the balls of her feet, smiling brightly at him. "You've got my mind racing. You're so confusing."

The sun was shining bright in the afternoon sky the next day. Logan and Bennie were settled under a tree, simply happy to have each other's company. Logan sat with his arms around the girl of his dreams as she rested her head on his chest. Around them both Campers and Nature Spirits alike where smiling at the sight. Apparently everyone knew they would end up together, it was just a matter of when. There was one camper who was not smiling, at all.
Adara Williams, head of the Aphrodite cabin, watched the couple from a safe distance. She should be in the arms of that boy, not Bennie. Besides, she was the one who had first noticed him. She planned to do something about it. Dressed in her best jeans (a.k.a, the ones that showed off her a** the best) and her camp half-blood t-shirt, she tied the bow she had gotten from her mother that amplified her seductive powers. Plus, it magically transformed to perfectly complement any outfit.
Adara walked over to the pair and smiled, "Hi Logan, I'm sooo happy for you." she lied, lying down next to him. "I remember the day you two first met." she giggled, patting Logan's chest slightly. Logan just laughed akwardly, "Yeah, me too..." Why was this annoying... yet gorgeous... Aprhodite girl here?

Bennie shot Adara a nasty look from her place next to Logan. She knew Adara well enough to know that this was all a ploy to steal Logan away. Holding the vicious glare to the young Aphrodite girl, Bennie cleared her throat impatiently. "Get out of here, Adara. I think Logan would like to remain the only guy in camp that doesn't have your strain of Chlamydia."

Adara glared at Bennie, "Hey, just because I'm not a virgin, there's no need to get angry. I mean, even your mother can't be called a virgin anymore." she said with a nasty look. "Of course, Poseidon has had many children, he must be pretty attractive, or else he wouldn't have as many children. I guess the women like the strong, sea guys. They're hot and strong. It must run in the family." she said, touching Logan's bicep. Logan blushed furiously and stammered, "Uh... is that so? Anyway I think I'd better um... get going..." he said, moving to get up.

With another glare, Bennie stood up, taking Logan with her. "At least my mother hasn't had infinite partners like yours." Her eyes locked to Adara's, her mother's fury was clearly hereditary. "Now, we'd rather not pollute this Juniper's ecosystem with your filth, so why don't you do the green thing and leave?"
