Bones face grew more pale as he was lifted, but he sucked it up and furrowed his brow instead. Each of Rin's words had hit home with him, knowing exactly what she was talking about. He'd done foolish things for those that he loved. Heck, he still did. Patting against his stomach, he glanced at Cooper. Taking one large step across the room, the arcanine was now at his side, panting at his owners face. Unsure of whether to put the pokemon in his ball, or let him roam free to help with the escape, Bones opted for the latter.
Patting Cooper on the head, his happy tone changed to a wary one. His ears flattened and he bared his fangs. Bones knew then, the time was up. Rin was back to full strength now, thanks to a bit of potion, and thank goodness she was. They needed that now more than ever. Nodding at her, he smirked a determined smile. "We'll fight together then."

Catherine giggled lightly and stared at Cooper, poking the curious Arcanine on the nose with her nose. "Grumpy-kun." she said as she tilted her head. "What about Cooper-kun?" she asked as stared back down at Bones. "He might get--" Before she could finish her sentence, a crack from the wall interrupted her speech. A darting object shot through the wall clean. The Mewtwo luckily sped out of the way in time, but her frightened face showed she had not sensed the apparent flying bullet. "They're here?" she thought aloud, the fright in her not giving her the chance to keep secluded thoughts in her head. "Crap. They got here quicker than I expected..." Another gunshot rang through the air but simply shot through the wall and bounced off the opposing one. The shots continued and several others did the same gesture. However, Catherine cupped her nose with her hand and buried her face in Cooper's thick down. "Hold your breath!" she said as the tiny bullets exploded after a time released a yellowish haze. "They put Vileplume spores in those bullets. They are just meant to slow us down. Apparently, they are toying with us..." Sighing, Catherine shut her eyes tight. "Do...do you have any weapons?" questioned Catherine through her muffled breathing. "We need to fight them back...somehow."

Bones pulled his ribbed turtleneck over his mouth and nose as soon as the attack started, and then he shifted his weight to have the mewtwo put him down. Eyes still effected, he blinked back the water that lined them to fend off the spores. This was bad, and not to mention the repair costs... Sighing his exhale was laced with pain as he put a little weight on his battered knee. Managing to reach under the beat up coffee table, he found his shortsword there and tugged it loose. Odd place to keep it, on a normal day.
Today was not normal.
Reaching up with his pokeball, he started to call Cooper back for fear of the injury that would happen to his friend. Much to his dismay, the arcanine ignored his calls and shifted closer towards the door, snarling and spitting up a storm. His pet trainer was in danger, and Cooper wasn't just going to sit around. Clamping his eyes shut for a moment, the severity of the situation conveyed to him through his pokemon, Bones crystal eyes snapped open and he nodded firmly.
"Facade Cooper." He ordered the pokemon, tying the sword to his belt. All three of them were preparing for battle. Cooper immediately began to bristle for a fight when the spores smacked into him. Boy, those people were going to be surprised when an arcanine tumbled out at them from inside the small apartment.

Catherine coughed slightly. She couldn't hold her breathe for long, one weak advantage for being cloned, her lungs were quite weak. Rocket grunts were working their way up the stairs, the steps of their shoes sounding in jumbled unison as each one lined up in front of the door. One kicked at the door hoping to bash it in. However, it didn't seem to budge. Blinking in confusion, he did it again and the same outcome was presented. Sighing as making a fool of himself was useless in front of the other troops, the Rocket twisted the door open. The other Rockets, who grouped behind him, pushed him as he opened the door. Suddenly, a large forced pushed the door open and crushed each and every one of them. Apparently, the Arcanine was becoming a paperweight to the sheets of Rockets underneath him. Catherine couldn't help but giggle at the sight of the caught Rockets. Aiming out towards the hallway, more Rockets rushed in. Catherine cleared the jumble of rockets rushing towards her using an Aura Sphere. Beckoning towards Bones, she shrieked at the sight of grunts slipping into the apartment by cutting large holes into the wall from the outside in. "Grumpy-kun! Watch out!" she called as one of the Grunts raised a gun towards him. She already had a handful of her own to push back, but they kept on coming.
"This is too much!" she cried as the Rockets hit at her with empty guns and anything they could muster. However, they hitting stopped as the head honcho made his appearance. "Hey there Catty-cat." talked the man as he was followed by Clarin, herself biting her lip as a small device was held within grip. "Been a while, eh? Even though it hasn't been too long, gotta say, you're just the same as ever. And to see ya in a building, going domestic on me are ya Catty?" Mathus laughed and grinned crookedly. "Can't you just leave me alone?" growled Catherine to the man's expression. "I don't want to go back to my old life!"
Mathus just sighed, the grin not leaving his face. "Ho-hum. I am just following order Catty-cat. So tell me, who is inside that apartment?" Catherine shook her head. "I won't tell you! Leave him out of this!" Mathus shrugged. "You are going to have to tell me eventually, project LYRE." At that moment, Catherine fell to her knees. Her arms dangled to her sides and her innocent face looked up to her superior. "His name is Bones." she said, her force just mumbling out the truth. "Black hair, blue eyes. Male. Occupation, blood type, relatives are currently unknown as of this time. Please be weary Mathus-sensei, he has a short sword." Mathus strode over to Catherine and lightly patted her on the head. "Thank you dear." he laughed as he turned towards the doorway, eying the Arcanine as he spoke. "Oi, you." he said with a now straightened expression. "What connections do you have with her?" he simply asked afterward.

Cooper kept a deep hate rumbling in his throat, even as through the corner of his eye the other rockets entered the room through holes in the walls. It was like an infestation of unwanted vermin. Dangerous ones. The smoke was still everywhere in the room, spores leaking over his bulk that blocked the doorway and out into the hall. From behind he head Bones wheezing now, the spore getting to him.
But for Cooper, who never answered the rocket, each stinging spore fueled him more into battle. His intimidation seemed to be keeping some of the rockets at bay for now, but that wasn't going to last. Guns were aimed all at Bones, and probably at him. He knew who had the better chance here. It wasn't Bones.
Bones coughed a bit, the spore weaving into his lungs now. Eyes hazing through the thickened air, he tried to enter a defensive stance...but his leg refused. Obviously, he was injured...so the rocket grunts advanced on him. Whatever this was, he was in deep. Rin, they were going to take her...and now probably assumed he was with her.
Sh!t.
He was as good as dead.
Gripping the sword tighter, his heart dropped as several safety catches were switched off. Crystal eyes glancing about, he saw the Arcanine pumping up more and more. He was going to attack. Bones knew that any sudden movements and he was dead. They were still advancing...but staying out of his swords range. Damnit. Rin, he really hoped she was okay.
Cooper's eyes flashed with rage then, and before attacking used a defense move. Opening his fanged jaws as wide as he could he unleashed a HUGE roar at the crowd before him, knowing it would echo behind him. He was getting more mad at Rin. This was all her fault.

Mathus flew back as he hit the floor. The sudden roar had frightened him and brought him down to his knees. Clarin shrieked slightly, but that was only due to the fact she came to believe she had almost lost signal on her device. Catherine just blinked as she stared down at the floor. She knew this was all her fault and she could sense the utter anger within Cooper. It was terrifyingly strong. Scowling as he picked himself up, Mathus stared behind him. "You." he said to one of the grunts and he stepped forward, looking nervous. He motion towards Catherine. "Bring her over here, now." The grunt responded and pulled the binding that connected her head with her torso. She said nothing as he did so and she picked herself up and walked over by Mathus. She took a seat next to him, her saddened and blank expression not leaving her face. In an attempt to get on his boss's good side, the grunt kicked Catherine down to make her bow in front of him. Mathus smiled at this and the grunt walked away in satisfaction. Catherine just picked herself up and returned herself back to her sitting position.
"Pick yourself up m'dear." Mathus said as Catherine raised to her feet. Circling her for a moment, Mathus nodded his head with another crooked grin. "What was the purpose for your creation Catherine?" questioned Mathus. Catherine bowed her head, "For the chance to pass on an experimental gene found only in myself to an offspring and see if I would survive the ordeal, sensei." She replied. The questions continued and Catherine replied with ease. She had gotten this lecture many times from him and this time was no different.
"When you were created, what name were you given?"
"Catherine, sensei."
"Who gave you this name?"
"You did, sensei."
"Why did I give you that name?"
"For the loss of your deceased wife, sensei."
"What did I tell you to call me from that moment on?"
"You commanded me to call you sensei, sensei."
"And what did you do?"
"Obey, sensei."
Mathus smiled. "Will you obey anything I say?"
"Of course, sensei."
"What if I told you to kill everyone here, besides myself, would you?"
The grunt and Clarin trembled for a moment as Catherine replied, "Of course, sensei."
Smiling again, Mathus continued. "You say you obey me," he started. "Show me your loyalty."
Bowing her head more, Catherine moved her hand over the tube that connected the her head and back torso together. She dug her fingers deep and the amount of pressure applied split the tube slightly. A stream of crimson flowed down and washed down her back. "Is this enough, sensei?" questioned Catherine as she stared at her mentor. "Not enough." Catherine dug deeper and more streams came out. "Good enough, sensei?" she questioned and she earned the same reply. The self mutilation continued until Catherine presented herself with a body lashed with deepened scars. Her ivory body almost looked drenched and the tips of her hands burned greatly. Turning towards Bones and the Arcanine, Mathus tilted his head and smiled. "You're a friend of her other side, aren't you?" questioned Mathus as he smiled. "She wouldn't be here unless you were greatly acquainted with the punny little personality of hers that makes her tolerate everyone." A small chuckle made Mathus turn to laughing. "You might know that side of her and you probably met her rampaging side due to your current condition. But those were nothing compared to his side of her."
Turning about, Mathus called called forth three grunts and presented them in front of her. "Catherine, punish them." he simply said and the Mewtwo got to work. The first two were pummeled aside and thrown out the apartment. One landed by Clarin's heel and caused her to step back as blood dripped on her heel. To his chagrin, the last one grew frightened and tried to fight back as Catherine approached him. Catherine simply brought his arms down caressed his cheek. The Rocket grew more comfortable as she did this, but next she took his head within grip and twisted it about in four different angles. Doing the same thing she did with the others, she threw the grunt aside. From the state of the three, the first two would survive, but the last had little breathe to live on. "Fun, fun." Mathus said with a laugh as if he was used to her torturing her victims like so. "Do you want to do that to your little boyfriend, Catherine?" questioned Mathus as he walked over to her and put his hands on her shoulders.
Catherine's heart raced as she received praise from her mentor. "I would be delighted, sensei." she said with a rosed race, almost reddened.

Bones watched with a angrily furrowed brow and a set jaw as Rin obeyed him as some sort of tool. Meant to be or not, she should be able to decide for her own...and that other 'side' as he called it was her free will. SHE did that on her OWN. It must frighten her 'master' so deeply to track her like this. He huffed, annoyed that she'd not run and left him here. His mind burned in an anger that he couldn't act out now, only bleed the hate into his aura.
Bones. Was. Pissed.
"I'm a friend of ALL of her. The good and bad and the worse for the wear, because that's what makes her, her." He coughed out a bit, his eyes starting to sting and his cuts burning though his body from the previous attack. It was starting to fade but the spores were still strong stuff, lingering everywhere in the room just waiting to be disturbed. "Then again, you're a b*****d looking for a freaking plaything, so what would you know about friends? Sonova...."
Pulling his shirt collar down from over his lips he wiped at them with the back of his hand. He'd bit his lip open in rage, which vibrated out through him in a deep commanding growl. The rockets were still moving in on him, and his leg wasn't lasting him anymore. Falling to one knee, he gripped the sword as a substitute, completely rendering him incapable from any further attack-like stance. Immediately the grunts all moved it closer, but left room for the mewtwo. If she was going to attack, they didn't want to be in her way.
Looking up, he heard the rest of their conversation but didn't bat an eye. He really wasn't expecting much of a future after today. Cooper put himself between Bones and the mewtwo, knowing Bones was also unable to stop him anyways. Fire flickering off his fur, he hesitated, knowing what Rin meant to his master. He was angry, but could tell something was wrong.
"If she kills me, you're not letting her go." Bones spoke rather breathlessly towards the ground...looking up at Mathus through his raven hair. This was a battle he couldn't win, but perhaps could twist? Maybe that was even past him now. Bones spoke.
"Rin." His nickname for her. He wasn't a nickname kinda guy.
His words found strength again even as his eyes flickered dangerously. He'd not gotten enough blood back just yet for all this excitement. "Whatever you do...I'm not mad." His face relaxed and a smile that looked sadly wistful. "I couldn't be mad at you. Even if I am Grumpy-kun."
Sappy you could say, but it was all he had right now. If she was going to take his life, he'd rather she did it than the rockets. Friendly fire he could live with. Oh the puns. Moreso he'd rather fight to try to save her more than anything. But sometimes you didn't always have a choice.

Catherine took a step forward, eying the Arcanine playfully. "I'm sorry, Puppy." she said, making a shooing motion. "I don't want to play. I was to see your master instead." As Bones' words danced in her ears, she hesitated for a moment. The mere mention of his nickname caused her thoughts to race, her breathing to become rapid and her muscles to tense. She dropped to the floor, eyes shut as if she had just fallen asleep on herself.
Stomping angrily, Mathus kicked her just below her shoulder blades. "Get up you useless piece of s**t!" growled the male as he gritted his teeth. "Damn blackouts this garbage gets..." he mumbled under his breathe as he looked back up to Bones. Moving back towards the hallway, Mathus beckoned over towards Clarin. She rushed over, wondering what her superior wanted. "I don't know what the ******** impression he left on her, but that childish nickname...It caused her to react." He told her. "We can't do anything with her now, might as well just bring her back to base."
Clarin nodded her head and pointed out towards more grunts. They pulled at her as they dragged her out of Bones' apartment. Mathus grunted in displeasure. "Yer an annoyance, you know that kid?" spoke Mathus towards Bones and Cooper. "Not only did ya knock out me Catty-Cat, but you are also causing me to retreat. Whatever. See ya." Waving him off, the man walked out of the apartment followed by grunts dragging the knocked out Mewtwo down the hallway.
At this moment, Clarin had directed more grunts towards Bones and Cooper. Six of them, looking quite terrified than courageous, circled both of them. With weapons drawn, their knees buckled preparing for a fight.

Bones had found his jaw set in a snarl as Rin was lifted and hauled from the room. The unconscious mewtwos face was so content and innocent, his stomach twisted at the thought of her getting hurt more. These people...they were no good, and he couldn't even surrmount a reply to their taunting. The Rocket's head swam, his brain beating at the back of his neck he wanted to grab some more vicodin and call it a day...but that wasn't about to happen. Too much was at stake. His friends life...and his own.
Attentions were quickly turned to that of the men surrounding him narrowly, and the hot tempered Arcanine ready to blow the room. The spores could ignite with enough flame, and they were already turning to ash in the air around him. Reaching for his pokeball, Cooper eyed his pet human wildly, eager to attack and defend him against this dangerous threat. However, both he and Bones knew that the first one he attacked, the opposing angles would swarm in for the kill. Tapping the pokeball, Cooper started to jump into action as the red light zapped him back up.
Coughing deeply that it rattled his lungs and made his kneeling stance waver, he hung the pokeball around his neck. The men had jumped back by the pokemon's lunge, and were even more irritated. This man, what was he doing?
Slowly, Bones surmounted the power to stand up again, resting lightly with his feet apart. Knee burning and spitting evil at him, it threatened to give out once more. Sighing and dropping the kantana, Bones glances about at them with a furrowed brow, and eyes glazed with pain.
"Let's get this over with." He stated. "I know it's coming." Holding his arms out a bit, he closed his eyes as the first blow hit.

Several of the Rockets held malicious smiles upon their face as they took turns punching and kicking at Bones. Their continuous beating occurred until they began to tire out. As they grew bored of jabbing at the male with fists and feet, they turned to conversation. "Damn, they got to stop giving us so much work to do..." spoke one of the grunts as he keeled over with his palms upon his knees. Another danced from foot to foot. "I need to use the crapper!" he bellowed into the apartment and dashed out of the building to the forest below.
As time continued to progress, one of the Rockets stared down to Bones below. "We should stow him in back of the jeeps." talked one of the grunts to the others. "We can butcher him some more later on." Nodding their head in approval, three of the other grunts grabbed Bones and dragged him like a ragdoll out of his apartment, down the stairs, across the wooded forest and to one of the wheeled monsters located a good distance away from the building. Tossing him in, the grunts laughed as they shut the trunk and climbed in. Starting the engine, they drove off into the direction of the base.
Rin, in the company of her mentor and his assistant, was still unconscious as she was shackled to a wall. Her body hung over the floor as the metal clamps around her wrist held her upright. "She'll wake eventually..." spoke Mathus as he paced back and forth. Clarin just sighed. "Sir, you are certainly taking this hard..." Mathus turned to her with a sharp look. "I am not taking it hard" he said with a grim voice. "That boy. He knows something about her. I want her awake. I want to know too."
Driving up to the base, the grunts climbed out. They talked amongst each other than headed into the base, likely just going for sleep. A small moment later, Vamoose and Sorano crawled out of the woods. They were covered in filth. "Boss be such a b***h!" cursed Sora as he staggered with Moose on his back. Moose just nodded his head as Sora continued to talk wrong of their superior. As they walked, they both noticed their jeep parked up in the rear of the base. "Aye, they ev'n took our car!" stamped Sora as he took another step.
As Sora continued walking, Moose nudged him. "Game...in...jeep." spoke Moose as he helped pleading eyes. "Want..." Sorano sighed. His partner was so childish, but he knew if he didn't get what he wanted, he wouldn't hear the end of it. Moving towards the jeep, Sora set Moose down and opened the trunk. "We are just gettin' yer game." Sora said. "And nothin-" Pausing, Sora blinked cluelessly. "Oi, Moose. There be a bloke here and he seems...badly beat'en." Moose looked up, eying Bones sadly. "Oi..." he spoke, frowning. "You...need help...bud...dy?"

Bones' thin form was limp, laying against the unforgiving pickup bed, not worth much more that taking up space at that point. Dull eyes rolled in their blackened sockets, eying without any particular focus the two new figures to this scene. Trying to decide if he wanted to think about who they were, his thoughts were cut off as blood ran into his left eye. Closing it, his head rolled back to face the canopy of the truck, the only sounds remaining was the rattling of his lungs breathing.
Several broken ribs, his knee was useless now...and just searing pain all over commanded his attention. Bones' thoughts were not to himself, they were just of the stress that his body was screaming under, and unable to cope with. "Hnn." Had he tried to speak? Bones didn't know. The spores still burned his lungs like no other, forcing his throat numb. The room tilted then, and his eyes slid shut against his will. His body had no more strength to keep them open, let alone get him back in working order. At the final signs of consciousness, Bones had to wonder for Cooper...if he'd ever see him again...Rin, if she was okay...or if he'd ever wake up again for that matter.
And then, there was nothing left for him but blackness.

Sorano blinked at Bones than directed his gaze towards Moose who was busy prodding at the other's unconcious state. "Oi, stop that!" spoke Sora as he slapped Moose's hand away. "He is not some kind'a thinger ta poke at. He is 'pprently hurt'a. So help me bring em' inside." Vamoose sighed, huffing with displeasure. "No want to." replied Moose as he picked himself up. Sora glared at him, which caused him to shrivel up and eventually agree to lend a hand.
Sora bent over and Moose pulled Bones until Sora was able to heft him up onto his back. "Damn, this bloke be pretty light." commented Sora as he didn't have to stagger as he walked. "Much light'r than ye Moose." Moose stared at Sora with a plain look, than laughed at Bones. "Pre...ty boy." Moose said as he hollered with laughter. "He like lit..tle maid...en in dis...tre...ss" Sora laughed to his joke. "Aye, ye can say that again Moose." As the two hollered with laughter, they walked into the base.
Eventually, the two reached their desginated chambers. After some argument of whose bed to put the "pretty boy" in and Sora losing, Moose went to tend to the other's wounds. "Hmm, who ye think he is?" spoke Sora as he combed back his hair. Moose just shrugged and wrapped his last bandage. "Who..ever...he is." commented Moose as he threw himself onto his bed. "He is here...for a reas..on. But, we ask when he a...wake."

A state of being awake was a place that Bones was having trouble finding today. His beaten and bruised form sunk gratefully into the sheets, hoping to find some place of stasis to begin the lengthy repairs needed. The longer he was out, the more battered and bruised he looked as the blood pooled and settled in the various impact points. Eventually after a few hours of slightly fitful rest, Bones mind stirred to consciousness in a slow churning manner. Aware of slight restriction on several sore and sliced open spots in the form of bandages...he relaxed a bit more...still booting up. Crystal eyes flickering, he inhaled sharply and cursed under his breath at a broken rib creaking.

Sora had fallen asleep at the foot up Moose's bed, waiting for the mangled Bones to awake. But it was Moose who caught sight of the other opening his eyes. Slapping Sora a couple of times to wake him up, he pointed to ebony haired male. Sora just sighed. Poking Bones' forehead rather childishly, he grinned. "Ah, ye awake bloke?" he asked, forwarding a piece of cake next to him in case he was hungry. "Ya are really lookin' bad. Git into a lil scratch wif ya girlie friend?"
Chuckling to his minor joke, Sorano picked himself up off the floor and lit a cigarette. Vamoose reached over for a clothes pin, sticking it on his nose to rid away the disgusting smell of cigarette smoke. Pushing his partner aside, Moose nudged the cake as if saying, "If you are not going to eat it, I will happily take it."
Sorano just frowned to Moose's actions and stamped the cigarette down. Letting the butt roll off his fingers, he sighed a second time. "Ah, so what is yer reason fo' bein' here? Ya were thrown in the back o' one o' the jeeps like ye were a freshly cut piece o' meat. Did ya defy ord's or somethin'?"

Bones sat up slowly all the while the pair went on with this seemingly usual mood, silently testing how much of him was really broken.
Too much.
Able to sit up, he furrowed his brow as all the man’s words entered his head at once. “Wait…what?” He mumbled to nobody in particular, unknowing how unused his voice sounded. The assaulting smells of the sugary cake(that of which he ignored)… hit him and were quickly offset by the harsh chemicals in the cigarette. These both stirred his mind in circles further. Blinking through all of the past hours, the blurring didn’t stop until he came to one point.
“Rin.” He blinked at the mismatched pair, as if he remembered his purpose for being this beaten. “Rin, the mewtwo. She’s not my girlfriend…she’s my friend.” Almost not stopping for air, his next sentence continued. “Where is she?” It sounded more like a demand.
Bones couldn’t really answer the other questions that he’d been asked…only honestly remembering a fragment of each. Thoughts churned up again, and his hand patted at his chest, frantically looking for his pokemon partner’s capture orb. It was not there. Hang moving to his side, no sword either. Stifling a growl, he was back to nowhere. Resting his forehead against his fingertips for a moment, he looked up at the two men. Obviously, if they were foe, he’d be in trouble…so what were they?
“Who are you?” Another demand. Pain and feeling helpless was getting to him. This was not his day off.
