"Yeah, it's pretty sad." Zuri wished there were more naiad children around that were his age, but Zuri was pretty sure he was the only naiad left that wasn't old. He liked being a kid, but sometimes he just wanted other kids around too! "It is really pretty, though! We found silver and shiny rocks under the water from where we could go out to, but sometimes, deep under the water, you can find really cool things! My sister found a really pretty blue ring under the water that she gave to Noel."
It seemed nothing could destroy Texas's general good feeling anymore. He sipped from his milkshake and ate his fries with a smile. This was a pleasant day with pleasant people.

"I wish I could go." Waikiki KiKi nodded. She finished up her food and now just drank her milkshake. The water sounded like fun. But she was only able to shape waves. That wouldn't' help her with going underwater.
Tiki Jim nodded as well. "I could put a bubble around you, but I don't know how long the air lasts inside." That was one of his powers big flaws.

Zuri frowned when Tiki Jim said he didn't know how long the air lasted. "It's alright, Mister Tiki Jimmy," Zuri had come up with a whole new nickname for the man, "'cause you did try to think of something." The naiad rubbed his chin, before coming up with an idea. "Maybe someone could invent a boat that could go underwater that you could breathe in! Then I could totally have company. Or maybe a suit would work too..."
Texas ruffled Zuri's hair. "Perhaps you should try that." With the determined look on Zuri Seabrook's face, it seemed he had obtained a new mission.

Waikiki KiKi giggled. "That is a good idea." She thought she had seen stuff like that in her Great Granddaddy's books. Still, she didn't know how to find.
"I think scuba gear would work. However, I don't know how or where to find that stuff." He knew what it was but he didn't know how to find it or use it.

"Scuba gear?" Zuri had never heard of such a thing. He rubbed his chin and glanced up to the sky as if a piece of scuba gear would drop down. No luck. "Maybe you can find it off the Isle or something, but why would I go off the Isle? My home is here, with the waters. Maybe I can find someone to get some scuba gear for me! Or maybe some of the little faeries know how to make it!"
"Perhaps they do, little Zuri." Texas winked. "Then perhaps your problem of being alone would be solved. But perhaps if they don't know how to help you, there's other ways to do it."

Tiki Jim thought about it. "We need a pae with that kind of power. Do you know anyone like that?" He didn't think he did. Tiki Jim and his family had never been off the isle either. He did know that's where they could find it.
Waikiki KiKi nodded. "Sounds fun though." She sipped her milkshake. She was too young to think of ideas to this problem.

Zuri looked around before deciding it was safe to pout. "I don't even have a power," whined Zuri, quietly. "Maybe the Guardians don't like me." Then, the naiad got an idea. "Or maybe they were just waiting for me to think of things to make! Yeah, that's totally it!" He looked up. "Okay Guardians, I can have the power now!"
Poor Zuri. With a chuckle and a sigh, Texas offered the naiad from fries to bring him back to the isle. "You'll get a power eventually, Zuri."

Waikiki KiKi giggled. She liked the idea of just asking and getting. Sure she did have a power, but she remembered a icky potion she had to drink to get it.
Tiki Jim nodded. "I'm sure you will get one that suits you when the time comes." His power was a combo of his parents. His mom could phase and his had bubbles. Tiki Jim could phase with bubbles.

The naiad would drink an icky potion to get a power, especially if it would give him the ability to bring other people underwater with him. That would be the most fun ever! And all he had to do was drink a nasty potion. "Time is silly. If time made sense, I'd be an adult right now. Yup, yup!"
Texas chuckled. "I aged faster than Esmee. I'm sure aging varies person by person, Zuri."

Waikiki KiKi nodded. "I guess that's true." As long as she and her twin grew at the same time. She felt it would be really odd to age before or after him. Then again who knows.
Tiki Jim nodded. "Anyway, Peter Pan never grew up!" He chuckled as he began to pick up some of the mess. He was done with his food and it looked like so were some of the others.

Zuri had finished his food. What little was left, Texas had taken and wrapped up for later. "Yeah! I can't be Peter Pan if I grow up, so why would I want to?" With that rhetorical question, Zuri determined that maybe his power was to be a child forever. That would be awesome! Being a kid was way more fun than being an adult.
Texas still had some food left, but that was mostly because he liked to take a slow and relaxed pace with everything, including eating it seemed. "Indeed, Zuri." He turned towards Tiki Jim and thanked him for cleaning up the mess that the two younger ones had probably left behind after eating.

"That's right. Peter Pan never grew up." She had not seen the movie in which Peter Pan had grown up and had kids. What an odd concept, really. Waikiki KiKi only knew the book which her daddy had read to her.
Tiki Jim nodded to Texas. He knew that kids were kids and they happened to also be messy. "Now remember no going in the water for a half hour. For KiKi anyway, not sure what the rule is for Naiads."

"Then I am Peter Pan!" Zuri exclaimed, happily, before turning to Tiki Jim. "I can go in the water. After all, I live in the water! Sometimes, I eat some fresh seafood down there." He nodded, standing up. Of course, then he realized he would be leaving the angel behind. "But I'll wait." He sat back down.
Texas smiled proudly at Zuri. It was nice to have a little one around that actually cared about the needs of others, unlike his other little siblings...

"I'm sorry. Maybe I can make waves for you in the water and I'll sit out?" She looked up at her dad to make sure that would be okay. She wouldn't be in the water and the Naiad boy could be.
Tiki Jim nodded. "Sure, that would be fine." He chuckled. He figured the fish type Pae would be okay, but he wanted his daughter to be safe.

That sounded much better. Zuri would much rather be sitting in the water than out here in the sand. He nodded eagerly at Waikiki Kiki's idea, before darting off to the water without another thought. Soon enough, he was back to having a tail and swimming around in circles.
Compromise was good, too. With a smile, Texas laid back in the sand and closed his eyes.
