Finally things were going their way! But there was no reason to celebrate unless they won the whole battle fair and square. "Alright! Let's go with Rock Smash!" Sienna commanded
Ram charged at the paralyzed Anima. When he go close enough to her, he swung his tail around and aimed to smash it against her paralyzed body

Anima couldn't even wince as she was hit. The blow hit her squarely in the side. There was no way to defend herself!
Renekai felt very frustrated. Not only was she useless while her pokemon were paralyzed, they were getting pummeled as well, with no way to fight back! Though she used the technique herself, Renekai couldn't help but feel that paralyzation was the coward's way out.

Frey would have loved to see this, however Sienna wasn't terribly fond of the sight of a paralyzed pokemon getting beaten mercilessly. It was a cruel tactic, that was for sure. Especially having when her pokemon was on the receiving end of it. She couldn't help but feel bad for the poor Furret Ram was up against.
The Rampardos knew what to do by now and keep lashing out at Anima with his powerful tail. Even after only using Rock Smashes, he was getting pretty tired. Not that he was going to give up of course.

Anima felt her body slowly returning to her control. When Ram approached, she managed to force her body to fall over, making Ram miss. However, now she was stuck on her side and mostly paralyzed.

"C'mon, Ani!" Renekai shouted. "You're almost there!" She could see Anima twitching more; the paralysis had almost worn off.
Anima was doing her best to move. Of course, her well-practiced mouth was the first thing to really get going. She spewed out quite a list of long, meaningless phrases. Hopefully it would confuse Ram enough to miss again, but then again, it might just encourage him to hit her harder...

Uh oh. The paralysis was almost totally worn off. If Ram couldn't land a hard hit soon, thing might get rocky.
Nonetheless, the dinosaur's tail was sent crashing toward Anima in yet another Rock Smash attack.

"Aqua Tail!" Renekai shouted.
Anima's tail rushed up, accompanied by water. She didn't have time to dodge the tail, however, so she allowed it to hit her and just aimed the wave at it. She gritted her teeth. She had to win...!

"Hang in there Ram! Just keep it up with those Rock Smashes!" Sienna encouraged the pokemon. If Anima managed to land a very good hit, they would have to resort to the paralysis tactic again which wasn't something she really want to do.
Ram obeyed and fired another Rock Smash with his tail, breaking a small piece of the wave coming in his direction before it had a chance to hit him.

Anima winced as Ram got in a really bad hit. She scuttled to the side and made another wave. She was panting hard by now.

They were going to go for another hit, although the battle could turn away from their favor if Anima managed to hit Ram hard enough. Sienna could only hope for the best.
Ram just kept smashing through the waves, even if they ended up doing some damage he was determined to defeat this furret. He was getting tired more quickly now.

Anima gasped in pain. She limped away from the large dinosaur and crouched, panting and shivering a little. She was too tired to even speak, which showed just how close to fainting she was
"C'mon, Anima! Aqua tail!" Renekai called. If she could just summon the energy for one really powerful hit...
Anima swallowed, gulped in more air, and swung her blue glowing tail forward.

Sienna winced. Poor Anima, she looked like she was in pain. Ram didn't look so great either. Sienna could only hope they could finish the battle soon and the two pokemon could have a good rest.
The dinosaur grimaced as more water splashed over him making him weaker by the second. If he could land a solid hit...

Anima collapsed under the crushing blow. She had luckily fainted even before the attack hit her, so although her body sustained the injury, she did not feel it. Anima welcomed the oblivion of sleep, though it meant that she had failed.
Renekai winced in place of her pokemon. What a hit to end the battle with... "Come back, Anima, you worked really hard." Renekai put Anima's pokeball away once she was safely inside. Then she raised her voice so Sienna could hear it. "Oh well, you beat us fair and square. I'll just have to try even harder for next time! Well, see ya." Renekai waved and walked out of the stadium to give her pokemon their well-deserved rest.

They won!
Her first battle as an assistant and her first win! Sienna couldn't help but be overcome with joy, although most of it was contained as she thought about how her opponent must feel. Sienna waved back, "Thanks for the battle! You and your pokemon were great!" then the trainer did likewise and exited the stadium, not before releasing a tried Frey from his pokeball and returned the borrowed Ram to his. Frey was obviously happy to hear they won their first battle and the two left the stadium to go celebrate.
