Calli gives a small sigh, her heart fluttering when her name was called. "Something tells me he didn't do it on purpose. And yes, he's my brother," she confirms, silently upset with Tobias wanting someone to tell her not to go near his things.
"It doesn't say anything about him coming home..?" she asks in a meek voice.

quietsnooze Calli gives a small sigh, her heart fluttering when her name was called. "Something tells me he didn't do it on purpose. And yes, he's my brother," she confirms, silently upset with Tobias wanting someone to tell her not to go near his things. "It doesn't say anything about him coming home..?" she asks in a meek voice. Tam had heard the name Tobias before, in their home- and knew that he'd gone off around the world. Just the night before, Mom'd said that Quiet was worried about him.. but she didn't know that Calli was Quiet's daughter. "..My brother's leaving home, too." She said, aloud. It was the closest thing she could say towards comforting her, but she felt silly as soon as she said it, like she was trying to divert the conversation to her.

"Is he?" Calli asks quickly. She hadn't made the connection as to whose sister this was, but was curious none the less. "How far away is he going? Mine's not gonna be gone forever but it feels like he already has been gone foreverrr.."

quietsnooze "Is he?" Calli asks quickly. She hadn't made the connection as to whose sister this was, but was curious none the less. "How far away is he going? Mine's not gonna be gone forever but it feels like he already has been gone foreverrr.." She wanted to say "How can you know he won't be gone forever"... but remembered what her mother told her about not hurting people's feelings, and how some things can just come out wrong. "Do you know where she is?" She asked. "....And he's not going very far. And not until he uses his... camera. It's a 5th stage item. He's just going to move into an apartment." She paused. "We'll know where he is."

"Ohh," Calli says, her voice breaking. She takes a look at the postcard, her eyes looking at the only words she recognizes; her own name, Gaia, and Tobias.
"I don't know where Tobes is, but he wouldn't leave here forever without even saying goodbye in person..!" She turns a bit desperate, waiting for confirmation of her belief.

"I don't know where Tobes is, but he wouldn't leave here forever without even saying goodbye in person..!" She turns a bit desperate, waiting for confirmation of her belief. "He never said goodbye? ...That bites." She looked around automatically, waiting for her mother to tell her to watch her language. "I hope he comes back, though..." Tam said, feeling awkward.

Mauli listened to the two converse, then turned, padding away to think to herself. As she walked, she kept her tail and head low, the song babbling from her lips once more.
"All she saw was the silhouette of a gun... Far away, on the other side... He was shot six times by a man on the run, and she couldn't find how to push through... Four hours in the morning, carried away by a moonlight shadow, I watched your winter forming, carried away by a moonlight shadow..."
She darted under a couch, then climbed up to the window behind it, sitting there and staring outside.
"Stars were glowing in the silvery night, far away on the other side, will you come to talk to me this night? But she couldn't find how to push through..."
A small sigh, and she wrapped her tail around her paws, her eyes staring out mournfully from beneath the mask.
"I stay, I pray, i'll see you in heaven, one day."

"'Course he will," Calli says, straightening up as if her confidence was proof. "He's still gotta take me flying, and he's still going to teach me some things he promised. An' my brother wouldn't break a promise, nuh uh!"

An' my brother wouldn't break a promise, nuh uh!" Tam nodded. She knew her brother wouldn't break a promise, either. "...It's best." She said. Then she paused, and realized that, alone, the sentence didn't make much sense. "That we have brothers." She finished.

Calli tucks her tail between her paws. It didn't occur to her that her tail seemed to be longer, and more prominent a feature than most. "I really like it! 'Cept more recently Tobes dinnt want to be seen with me. It was like he was kind've embarassed to take care of me or something.. But I don't need him to watch over me!"
She puffs up proudly, excitement bubbling. When she was on a roll, she was.. on a roll! "See, I'm going to get bigger and show him how I can be good all by m'self and he doesn't NEED to take care of me. That way he'll be all, Yay, someone fun who's not a little brat I gotta watch! And be my friend.."

She knew that Sk would say something that would make her laugh... but probably make Calli sad, so she pushed it out of her mind. She didn't know what Tawn would do- so the only thing she could think of was her mother's advice. Ask a question. "Is it just you and Tobias? Do you have any other siblings?"

Mauli listened to Calli talk from the window, chuckling dryly. She wondered how Toby would have taken it if he had been listening in, then mumbled something to herself, standing on her hind legs and pushing the latch for the window back. Then, dissapearing outside, she shuts the window silently and takes a trip into the woods. Not to run away, not to hide... Just to take a simple walk.

"Nuh uh, there's Madeline too! She's my biggest sister. And she's tall too. She's fifth stage like your brother's gonna be once he uses th'camera!" She buzzes family, glad to have something to take her mind off on.
"She's more of Mummy's helper though, since she's oldest she looks after us in'stink'tively. But she's real nice and slips me extra cookies!"

But she's real nice and slips me extra cookies!" Tam was glad of the subject- family was something she DID know about. "I've met Madeline. ..Mom calls her Maddie. She gave me a lollypop when I went to her office. ....We sat there for a long time. ...Mom talks a lot. So does Tawn." She stopped. She was more like her best friend, Sk, in that she said what she meant, and then... no more.

Calli nods eagerly. "She did that thing for the adoptioneeees, for Mummy." She liked to play with her words, so much so that it sometimes annoyed people. "And the lollipops are real good, I snuck in one to check up on her 'cause she was in there a long time and I'm just naturally curious Mum says. And she shared one with me."
She bobs her head in a serene nod, slowly fearing she'll run out of things to tell this unfamiliar SM.
