It wasn't the long journey that was wearing Fleetwing out--it was the odd assortment of smells, alien and hostile. She thought she had seen other cats at the ends of alleyways, dark and forbidding, their eyes throwing back the light eerily in the shadows. Probably my imagination, she told herself firmly. Nonetheless, she stuck close to her Clanmates and Theresa throughout the journey.

So wearied by the unnatural sounds of Twolegplace, the sound of metal traps made the small WindClan warrior leap several mouselengths in the air, her fur fluffing out almost instantly. She glared at the heavily scarred rogue, spitting furiously, her claws scraping out against the ground. "Who are you?!" she hissed. "And what do you mean here we are?! What do you know of warriors?!" She growled, her teeth showing. Later she would realize just how much she was overreacting, but Fleetwing was out of her element and she was ready to believe the worst of any unfamiliar cat at the moment.

After all of her excitement, Hawktail ended up dissapointed in Thunderclan's territory. There were way too many trees and leaflitter on the ground. Every step she took sounded to her ears like a kit blundering about blindly. How any cat could hunt in such situations was way beyond her, and how they could pursue prey without running into or getting snagged by something was even more puzzling. As the group entered twoleg place, her disappointment turned into anxiety. Like a few of the others had noted, the scents of the twoleg territory were many and unfamiliar. Brown and white fur bristled all over her body as she sniffed the air and tried to analyze everything she saw and smelt. The Windclan warrior hadn't been paying particular attention to what she was hearing until the raucous flurry in the nearby alley caught her attention like a sharp bite to the tail. Immediately, she flattened her ears and darted sideways, away from the sound, awkwardly blundering into Fleetwing who had jumped at the same time. While they both recovered their footing quickly, Hawktail's nerves were split and the female couldn't form words as the trash-talking rogue padded into view. Yellow-green eyes locked onto him wildly and a low growl rumbled in her throat as she lay crouched beside Fleetwing, her claws out and scraping against the hard surface beneath her.

So startled was she, that the Windclan female didn't even notice the barking dog, or the barking cat for that matter. When the she-cat beside her went off on the rogue was about the time that Hawktail had snapped out of her sudden fright. Her tail lashed behind her in annoyance as she sat up straight and began lapping at the fur on her chest and at her paws in nervous feline fashion. This small, battered tom was noisy, but seemed to know them somehow; although, this was the first time she had ever seen him. With ears still tipped half-way back, she watched him closely to see what he wanted with their group, her fur still tingling in case they needed to fight after all.

Tigonheart ran along with the cats as they made it into the two-leggers place. Suddenly there was a crash and a one-eyed scared rouge cat appeared, knocking over trashcans and causing some loud noises. His fur stood on end as he looked over this rouge, hissing softly surprised by the appearance. He had a weird accent, and seemed a little small for a cat, he looked like a windclan maybe. He looked around seeing how the other cats were reacting to the new cat, and the dogs. He didn't like the dogs but he had delt with dogs a few times in his own territory so he wasn't too scared. These ones were just loud, wouldn't shut up at all! But they were behind some kind of wooden walls that they couldn't seem to get though so he felt safe. He raised his tail watching the rouge keeping his ground with all the other cats.

"Ha ha! Ben you've always been one for an entrance, though never a graceful one." Tornadotail said padding up to the small tom and bumping heads with him in a friendly manner.

Tornadotail was distracted by what Theresa was doing. She can speak other languages? This was something Tornado had only heard of but never witnessed. His fur tingled with excitement thinking of how many miles she must have traveled and so many lessons she had already learned that he may never even learn in his life time.

"Ya' didn't think I'd let you 'ave all the fun eh?" Ben laughed not having seen what Theresa had done. He turned to the warriors fluffing and a growling. "Eh don't get yer fluffs in a twist, ya hyper active squirrels. My name is Ben, I'm an old friend of Tornado Tom, or as you know 'im Tornadotail. He told me what was goin' on and I decided to lend a paw." Ben left out the part about working his way to joining the Windclan, he was just doing it much slower then Tornado.

Ben spotted Violetstar and Moonstar among the group and he bowed his head in greeting to them before looking at Theresa. "Sorry fer callin' ya' and old bat the dog had me riled. So can I join this here turkey shoot or what?"

Redleaf was actually quite fascinated with the journey. The assortment of smells were interesting. All the new things he saw did frighten him, but he grew used to seeing the same thing over and over again. Then, as they grew close to an ally, his ears perked and his eyes went wild. He wasn't scared of the sound, but it did remind him of the metallic sound from his vision. Sitting down, he watched as the small tom came bustling out.

Blinking several times, he wondered how Tornadotail knew this tom. Shaking his head he looked toward Theresa, continuing to stare at the staff she held. Why was it so important?

He couldn't get the strange looking staff off his mind. It looked, quite said, ancient, like it had been around longer than anyone in the forest.

He sighed, turning to look at the others, his attention being drawn to the ally where this tom had just come from.

Fishertail had her mouth slightly agape, listening in wonder at Ben's speech. What a vocabulary that rogue had! She resolved to talk to him later about this - maybe pick up something along the way. "Foxdung", for instance, didn't quite cover her anger at the Twolegs about Linnetsong. It'd be nice to have a more appropriate word.

She saw Spiderheart poke his head into the alley and hooked her claws into his scruff, trying to yank him back out into the open. "Do you want your nose bitten off? Pay attention, Spiderheart!" She didn't trust the dog not to find the long way around and come charging into her mate's face. Spiderheart did have that kind of luck.

Fleetwing flicked her tail against Hawktail's side, her hackles slowly lowering. She sat and licked her chest and paws. "Sorry," she murmured to Ben. "I've been on edge all day. If you are a friend of Tornadotail's though, you must be a friend of WindClan." She watched him with her dark grey eyes, mentally logging the words he had used against the dog. They ought to get a point across, and they sounded more...fun to say than foxdung.

Fleetwing listened to the dog barking, watching Theresa. She shivered at the thought of facing a dog; had their guide talked to dogs to learn their language? Hadn't she been frightened? I wish I was home, Fleetwing thought suddenly. Home where I know the rules! She shook herself firmly. There were nine cats out there who felt the same way. It was their duty to bring them home. If they had to talk to dogs and journey with rogues, then so be it; every cat must return to Clan territory.

Swiftclaw was starting to feel a bit on edge. What if the dogs found another way to reach them? He was sure he'd be fine, but he wasn't sure about some of the other cats.
He also didn't allow himself to trust this new rogue. So what if he seemed to know someone? It'd take more than that to calm Swiftclaw down on a journey like this.
He decided that he'll keep on eye on Ben.

"This is not a turkey shoot." Theresa said disdainfully. "This is a mission to recover some cats stolen from the clans. If you're joining just because of a whim, you better reconsider because I won't tolerate behavior such as knocking over trash cans or attracting dogs."

Maybe she was a bit too harsh on Ben, but she took things too seriously to let some rogue in automatically. Even if Tornadotail did know him, and probably other cats too.

"Either way, we better find a place to rest for a bit. It's almost time for the Two-legs and monsters to fill the streets."

"Hey what?" Spiderheart yelped as he was pulled out from the alleyway. "I didn't see any dog!"

He almost didn't mind that he was yanked away though. It was Fishertail who was doing it. And he couldn't bare to think what would happen if she lost both her daughter and mate.

With that bit of commotion, he only caught a little of what Theresa and others said. Turning around to see what the others were doing and saying about this, he sighed and spoke up against her.

"That could've been just an accident. And it might be handy to have another cat that knows this place." He nodded. "And some rest sounds good too."

BleedingMoon nearly jumped into StarClan at the ferocious barking and crashing of trashcans, caused be this rogue called Ben. He had the most foulest language if all the previous wasn't bad enough. Even now his heart was racing like a rabbits for it's life and his tail fur was nearly as puffy as a Wind Cat's as he cowered behind SpiritSpine. Flushed as the tom mentioned them acting like a bunch of hyper-active-squirles... he was right. He licked his chest fur to hid his embarrassment.

All the clan cats felt awkward outside their territory. Felt so helpless, every sound he couldn't recognize could mean danger but he had no means of knowing. Was pointless to go on like this, had to be brave and trust this weird cat with a stick. "You wish to join us? Your entrance hasn't made a very good impression but I suppose all cats need a second chance. Though I am ashamed to admit it we Clan cats are about as useless here as a kitty pet is at hunting. Despite are lack of skill in this area we will save are comrades. At least StarClan thinks we can then who am I to doubt them?" he told mostly to Ben. Flashed a to nervous glance to MoonStar as Earth Speaker as she mention the coming two legs.

Ben smiled at Theresa and laughed just slightly. "I thought from yer appearance that you were a wise cat. You should be able to tell. I am not the sort o' cat that would do something on a silly whim. And as fer knocking over trash cans and attracting dogs it ain't somethin' I do on purpose. I don't know this part o' twoleg place so I did know the dog was there to avoid. " Ben nodded his head in thanks to Spiderheart for speaking up for him. Ben thought about shelter for a moment he hadn't really seen any on the way here. "You...or we could look for an abandoned Twoleg den or the alleyways always have those brown floppy dens." Ben said looking at a box.

Ben shot a glare at BleedingMoon and padded a few steps towards him.
"You act as though I care about the impression I 'ave given you. Moonstar, Violetstar, and Tornadotail already know who I am and I want to help get back cats I don't even know, risk my fur even! That's all the impression you should be needin from me." Ben said holding his head high, though he wanted to help and be accepted by Windclan so he could be with Misty and Tornado he wasn't about to get on his belly and beg for it.

Tornadotail looked about a little uneasy. "Eh Ben might be a little rough around the edges, but he has reason to be. He is a good cat that I would trust with my life."...I'd trust him more then myself Tornado finished the sentence mentally. The large tom looked like a giant standing beside Ben. "Besides if you let him stay you'll get to see me with both my eyes open." Tornadotail said with a laugh nudging Ben with his paw. Ben then laughed in reply to the odd statement.

BleedingMoon's fur prickled at the tom's remark. He narrowed his eyes now seeing the rogue with a new respect. "On the contrary, I believe you'll be a great asset to us despite the... 'crash' earlier." gave TornadoTail an understanding nod as he apologized for his friend "This rogue of yours is very brave." The ShadowClan warrior meowed before he tossed a glance at MoonStar and flicked his silver tail at the 'floppy dens' as Ben called them. "I think an abounded two leg den might be better suited for the number of cats here. Don't you think?"

Somehow knowing this rogue, that was so familure with these twoleg things, was with them made him feel much more at ease in this strange land. BleedingMoon just hoped the others would agree.

[[ Sorry for my inactivity~ x wx ]]

Violetstar looked at their rogue guide in slight amazement, it was mostly her staff that interested her, but she had no intention whatsoever of touching it. For the majority of their trip she stayed pretty quiet just looking around. So far the trip had been pretty quiet. No surprise, or anything of the sort. That's when Ben popped up and made a rather ungraceful entry. It was pretty nice to see their old friend again even though it was rather shocking to see him here after all this time. She smiled and flicked her tail towards Ben. "It's nice to see you again, Ben!" She called over to the rogue before padding over towards him. She nodded at Tornadotail's statement. Despite what others may think, Ben was trustworthy.

(Baaad Saspra :p )

Hawktail had calmed down a lot since the rogue, Ben's, first appearing. Violetstar's recognition of the small tom did much to ease her anxiety as well. If she liked him, he couldn't be that bad, right? Everyone seemed to have their opinions of him, but for now he seemed to be alright with her, despite the squirrel comment. "I also think an empty twoleg den would better suit our group." She meowed pointedly, 'floppy dens' didn't really sound all that safe or appealing to the brown and white she-cat.

Who said anything about having a lack of skill? Swiftclaw was irritated at the way Bleedingmoon spoke about the clan cats and was about to say something, when Ben gave his reply.
After listening to what Ben said, Swiftclaw completely forgot what he was going to say earlier. Ben knew Moonstar? Eh, Swiftclaw still wanted to keep his eye on the rogue.
"A twoleg den?" Swiftclaw said, making a face. "I don't want to stay in a twoleg nest."
