Shana smiled and waved before picking up her things and walking back to her room. She quickly dried off and changed into a tank top and sweat pants. She placed the calico cat on her bed and drew a transmutation cirlce on a piece of paper. She sat down on the floor, put some materials on it, and pressed her hands on it. After a small flash of light, she transmuted a small figure of a rabbit-like creature. (Totoro from My Neighbor Totoro) She smiled and put it on her night table.

Lily and Alexis entered the girls' dorms.
"What's it like?" Lily asked. "Being in charge of all the freshmen?"
Alexis shrugged. "I've only been in charge for a few hours, Lily. Save that for later."
The two noisily made their way up the stairs and entered Alexis's room.
Alexis's room was painted red and black. She'd had this room since she came. Most of the students ignored the whole, freshmen's floor, juniors' floor, and seniors' floor thing. Alexis was one of those.
Alexis's acoustic guitar leaned against the wall. Her electric guitar was in its case under her bed. She had a box up against the wall, full of her treasures as a freshman and soon to be filled with her treasures as a junior.
The two girls sat on Alexis's black bed and pulled out their homework. Of course, Alexis pulled out Mrs. Train's homework.
"This is going to take me forever," Alexis moaned, staring at the problems. "May as well get started."
Lily nodded. The two of them got on their homework.
So...Alexis thought after fifteen minutes. She was on problem 20 out of 50. If x = y, and a = 50, then how is a connected into this? Oh, wait, I forgot about x...of course. So...that means that x = y = x =60? Sure. Why not? She jotted down her answer.

After all her classes were done, Suzette slowly threaded on one of the outside hallways, while skimming through one of the textbooks she recieved from each of the classes.
'This seems simple enough, though I might need to concentrate on Lozoren's works in Literature next semester. His philosophies on alchemy are absolutely preposterous', she thought to herself. She stopped at the pavillion were a small crowd was dispersing.
"Aww...I was itching to see a fight", one freshman said.
"Gee, that Kirsty acts so pathetic. Picking a fight with a freshman? Please", another junior said.
'Ugh, I hope this school isn't infested with hooligans', Suzette thought. She entered the dorm building, and was about to enter he room. Yet, she tripped on something and her head hit against one person's door, Shana's if she remembered correctly.
"Oh crap! Sorry! Are you okay?!", one boyl panicked as she was quickly picking up whatever Suzette had tripped on.
"Uum, yeah I'm fine....", she replied.
"Really? Are you sure?", the boy asked
"Y-yeah, it's fine really", her face was turning red and got herself off of the ground.
"Well....okay", the boy just walked away.
She touched her forehead, it was bleeding. It didn't hurt though, and she was more concerned about the damage she inflicted on Shana's door.
'Uh-oh, she must have heard the huge thud', she inspected the door, and it had a huge mark. 'Errr, alchemy would fix it', she got out the left over chalk from her bag. She drew a tiny circle and the door was good as new.

"What was that?" Lily asked when she heard the commotion from downstairs. The freshmen usually weren't so full of energy after their first day of classes.
Alexis, pencil in her mouth as she was thinking, glanced behind her at her door.
"Soun's like alch'my," she said through her pencil. She removed the writing utensil and set her homework on her bed. "Let's go see what that was. I'm almost done anyway."
The two friends made their way down the stairs. Alexis turned the corner and saw a girl in front of Shana's door.
"What was all that noise?" Alexis asked, switching into a stern no-nonsense mode as she scanned the freshman.

Shana was startled for a second. She jumped up and walked over to her door. She opened it to find a girl, who appeared to be a freshman like her, and Alexis. "Umm...what happened?" Shana asked, confused.

"Looks like you fell," Lily said, pointing to Suzette. "And...into your door?" she pointed at Shana.
"Looks like it," Alexis said. She studied Suzette. "You should have the nurse check that out. You don't want it to be something horrible, right?"
Alexis smiled at the girl, and then looked at Shana.
"Good to see you've dried off," Alexis said. "You guys may as well get your homework done."
"I know I have to..." Lily moaned.
"Hey, you don't have seven freaking front-to-back pages of advanced alchemy math!" Alexis snarled. "C'mon, let's get upstairs." The two friends turned. Alexis gave a wave to Suzette and Shana and went back to Alexis's room to continue homework.
"What're we gonna do when we're done?" Lily asked, sitting on Alexis's bed. Alexis had finally finished Mrs. Train's homework.
"I dunno," Alexis said, now starting her literature homework. "Go hang out in the pavilion?"

Shana waved to Alexis and then turned to Suzette. "Umm...you should really go to the nurse....but I don't know where it is..." She went back inside her room and came back out with an ice pack. "You should use this for now..." she said. "I do have to get to my homework, but that won't take me long..." She handed the ice pack to Suzette. "By the way, I'm Shana. Though you could tell by my umm, door," she said, introducing herself.

Alexis jotted down the long writing she had to do. She was skilled in literature, science, and math. Basically all of her subjects. Her dedication and determination are what got her on the school's Honor Roll. In a moment, she was finished with her five-page paper.
"Done!" she sighed, setting everything in their appropriate folders.
"I've BEEN done," Lily said.
"Oh, can it. Let's go."

Shana went inside her room and took out her homework. "I should start on this..." she said. She kept her door open and sat on her bed, along with her homework and a pencil. She looked through the paper and began her homework. To anyone, it would have looked like she was randomly jotting down notes, because she was writing really fast. By the time she was done, it had only been 5 minutes. Shana set her pencil down and put the pile of papers on the floor. She sighed and started playing with the stuffed calico cat.

Alexis and Lily entered the pavilion. They found Ryan, Ian, and Tanner joking around by the fountain.
"Hey! Finished your homework?" Tanner said.
"Yeah," Alexis said, sitting down on the edge of the fountain next to her friend. "Mrs. Train is the worst!"
"It's only the first day," said Ryan. Ryan was a rather tall boy for his age. He had chocolate brown hair that made any girl's heart melt. Well, except for Alexis's and Lily's. After all, that's why they're his friends.
"I know," Alexis moaned. "But seriously. Is there anything worse than her homework?"
"I can think of plenty of things," Ian pointed out. Ian's green eyes twinkled.
"You always can."
Ian grinned.
"Hey! Look out!" Tanner exclaimed. He yanked Alexis's shoulders, so she was up against him.
As soon as he did, a razor-sharp wall sliced through where Alexis was previously sitting.
"WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT!!" Alexis shrieked, staring at the wall that nearly killed her.
"Hey you. I challenge you to a battle!" shouted a girl. She had been the cause of the wall.
"Oh, what, SO YOU CAN KILL ME?" Alexis snarled, standing up.

Shana blinked. "I think I just heard something..." She hopped off of her bed and with the calico cat in her arms, walked out of the room and headed towards the pavillion, ignoring the fact that she was in her pajamas.

"No," said the girl, getting to her feet. This girl had brown hair like Lily's. It was in a long braid that ran down her back and past her waist. "The way you scared my friend, Kirsty."
Alexis blinked. "Oh, that blond girl who dumped a freshman into the fountain because she refused a battle?" Alexis said. "Puh-lease. She deserved it."
"Not likely. Now do you accept or not?"
Alexis studied the persistent girl; freshman, smart-looking [but you never know], strong build...
"Fine," she said. "I accept. But remember: it's your fault if you lose."
"I won't!" the girl snapped.
The students cleared the way as the two girls stood many feet apart, parallel to each other.

Shana continued down the hall and outside until she reached the pavillion. She peeped out of an archway to find Alexis and another girl in battle stances. Shana blinked. "Oh, I guess I get to see a battle," she said to herself.

((Anyone who watches G4 knows who this guy is X'D)) Name: Nakata, Daisuke 中うち 田た 大だい 輔すけ Age: 15 Year: Freshman Bio: A young determined man, Daisuke decides to leave home & go West, to learn the ways of alchemy. He travels a long dangerous Journey, but finally gets to the Akira school. (Which convivially has a Japanese name, so he knows alot about it XD) He wishes to perfect his alchemy skills, so that he can one day become a very brilliant alchemist & help others with their alchemical problems.
