Rose stopped. she could feel the Darkness of Nightmare nearby. Rose looked around not seeing anything but she still knew he was somewhere. but seeing that she hadnt gotten out of their territory yet it wasnt very uncommon. it was starting to get darker which ment night was comeing. she started again hopeing to get out of Nightmares territory before the next day.

Aya nodded and then excused herself from the room. Closing the door softly behind herself she walked down the stairs that led to the main floor. She had a chance to look around this time and it was a comfortable little place with a homey atmosphere; not like most bars she had come upon nowadays. She was about to head to the bar and order a glass of water when the sense of evil tingled up her back. She stopped dead in her tracks and tried to figure out what was nearby. It wasn't Nightmare, she knew the feel of his evil, but it was someone stained with a tiny amount of his power. She walked out of the bar and looked around, scanning the ever-darkening land.

Gabriel looked through files upon files. He'd use the girl for training scouts and spies. He found one man he could use to train foot soldiers. Another man for archery. A strange creature, not a changed, but an odd adaptation, for beast taming. He had so many candidates. Now to find them, and get them to accept the challenge. That was the hard part...
Alex held the syringes in his hand. Nightmare had left him to his mission a while ago. Alex just had to think things over for a moment. He'd have to get close to the Sun. That would mean he'd have to fight... That meant... Killing his guards was a way to let him have a chance to get through... Things made sense now. Killing the guards was just a way to open up an opportunity. He nodded and started his trek.

Rose still had a feeling she was being followed but tryed to ignore it. she was almost out of Nightmares territory she always felt like he was there, waiting, watching, until it was time to strike someone. just in case Rose crept over to a tall tree and climbed up it. she sat of of the high branches looking around to see if anyone was there but mostly to see how far she had left before she reached to villiage. from the looks of it she had maybe a day left to walk, less if she kept going through the night. she was determined to get this done fast before people noticed that she wasnt one of them. " but first...." she said to herself, "a rest." she sat on the branch and leaned against the trunk of the tree.

Ayasha still felt that something was off, and she had learned to trust her instincts a long time ago. She glanced back into the lighted building behind her but saw no trace of Gabriel anywhere in sight; she could have a look around and be back before he even noticed she was gone. Stepping back into the street she walked until she had reached the gate of the city. The night guards were busy looking elsewhere and didn't bother to take notice of where she stood in the shadows. The sense of wrongness got strong here, but she still didn't hear or see anything that was cause for worry. Her brow furrowed together in unease as she let her senses spread out.

Gabriel walked down the stairs. He was slow in his steps, like he was calculating something. When he went to the common room he saw the girl from earlier and he also saw a lot of young boys. He'd seen it before. Fathers bring their oldest boy to join the forces of Light to fight off the Darkness. He didn't need boys though. He needed men. But they would have to do. "If you'd wish to join the Light then form a single file line along the wall. One boy bring me parchment and a quill. Two others set up a table, chair, and lamp at the head of the line." He sighed as a lot of commotion went about. All so eager to die. It broke his heart to enlist such young boys but he had no choice. He needed the bodies. He looked at the girl and all his pain was in that gaze for just a moment before it went blank and he waved her over to him.
Alex was following the scent of Rose. Very distinct. It was rare for a female to be in the Nightmare's army except for food for the army he ruled. So she was easy to track. Her scent was starting to get stronger and stronger. Which meant she had stopped, which meant he was getting closer to her and not just following. He cursed at himself and dove into some bushes. He had nothing but glow worms to keep the darkness away from him.

Rose turned suddenly. she had heard a twig snap and bushes rustle not to far off from where she was. It could have just been a animal but Rose couldnt take that chance right now. quickly she stood and faster than any normal eye could see she threw one of the knives at the direction of the noise, she figured anyone from Nightmares army would be able to dodge it in time if it was one of them. the knife stayed on target and grazed the top of the a bush. Rose leaned down into the showdows trying to stay unseen and waited to see if she heard another noise.

Aya moved away from her hiding spot in the shadows of the gate unnoticed. She made her way back into the tavern at the same time as the Sun made his way down the stairs. There was something off and she thought it best to stay close to him, just to make sure nothing happened. She moved forward silently when Gabriel motioned for her. Her eyes scanned the boys that stood in the lobby. She doubted any of them understood what they would be up against in this war and that made her deeply saddened. Most of them would be dead by this time next month, those that lived would become old before there time...it was the worst thing that came in times of war; young people losing their youth. She came to a stop beside the Sun. She saw all the pain in his gaze and she wished that there was someway she could take that pain from him, but he was the leader and that was the price for his position. "How can I help?" she questioned softly her eyes directly on him now.

Gabriel smiled softly," You'll take down their names, ages, home of residence and any medical issues we need to know about. Also, put down any of their execptional skills such as tracking or shotting ect ect." He smiled again," I'll be contucting physicals in the back rooms." He turned to the boys at the front of the line," The first 5 come with me. If you pass the physical you can join. Otherwise go home. After you pass the physical you can sign your name." He then lead the boys to the back rooms for their physicals. He would look over and make sure they had full range of motion and no unsightly lumps. That was the extent of the exam. One by one they would come out and stand at the table to sign their names. They looked kinda bashful. Probably because they had to do the exams while in their underwear. And one by one boys in the line would go back to get their physicals done. Tonight was going to take a long time.
Alex was focused on the scent of the female and his light. He didn't even see the dagger come at him. It cut his shoulder and he jumped slightly. He smelt his blood. In smelt... entoxicating... His vision got blurred as he put his hand over the wound. His blood bled purple and smelt almost rotted. Its what he gets for eating nothing but flesh of humans. Vile things.

Rose caught the sent of blood in the air. it was not the sent of any animal she had ever come in counter with. it smelt almost rotten. it was either a spy or someone from Nightmares army who was a new and didnt know she was already part of Nightmares army.
Rose took out another knife with a click and got ready to throw it. the sent let her right to where around to aim. " Who's there! I know your not an animal and unless you want this next dagger threw your head i suggest you show yourself!" she yelled to who ever was hidding. she took a quick look at the knive she already threw. it had some purple blood on it, which ment that she HAD hit whatever or who ever it was there.

Alex's voice was thick," Draw more poison and watch as dark creatures surround the area." He laughed to himself and then mumbled," Not to mention Nightmares wrath." The bleeding had slowed slightly. He took his hand away and wiped it on the ground. Where his blood touched the plants started to rot. Its the joys of the darkness.

Rose clutched the dagger harder at the mention of Nightmare. that meant they were part of Nightmares side but who. the plants near the bush started to die which meant that she had infact hit her mark on the last dagger and that thier blood was poison. that explained what they said but why where thay there. Rose put the dagger back to her waist and took out a smaller one. Rose thought hard on where they might be, the wrong move could mean death, or worse a tortured death by Nightmare himself. with a swift throw she let the small knife fly. as it went threw the bush Rose heard the sound of ripping clothe and was a little worried that she had hit them again but when the knive hit the tree there was no blood on it just a small peice of clothe. " there no blood or as you put it poison but that does not mean that i will not attack eccpetially after you threatened me with the wrath of Nightmare."

Vincent leaned back against a tree that had long since died. He held out his jeweled dagger, examining the wicked curve to the blade. Twirling at as a marksman would a revolver, he slid it into its sheath on a belt crossing over his chest. A flash of movement caught his eye and faster than his target could blink he pulled out a small crossbow, fired a shot at the movement and replaced the small weapon back inside his cloak. It hit the shoulder of the man, but the poison killed him before he hit the ground. With that small task completed Vincent strolled to a new position, once again twirling his dagger around his finger.

Ayasha watched the five boys as they followed meekly behind Gabriel. Then her sharp eyes moved to the boys that still stood in front of her gazing at her with uncertainty. “You heard the man…” She stated in her usual calm voice, “Start a single file line and we can all get home that much faster.” She took the information from all of the boys quickly and efficiently. Once she had everything she needed to take down she started answering as many questions as she could. She watched as one after another the boys disappeared to receive their physicals. This was going to be a long night, but at least she was of help to someone…

Vincent smirked as he watched the group of soldiers of light moving into a trap he had set, not knowing that they were about to die. When the lead soldier broke the tripwire, they didn't even have time to scream in pain as the knives launched and embedded into him. The others turned to run but found their path blocked by Vincent, a dagger in one hand, a saber in the other. The were disposed of quickly.
