" Ok" Rook said and once there turn came ordered the funnel cake, with sets of cutlery and a cherry soda for them to split. Since Galleai's hand were full with her fish bowl he carried the food till the found an unoccupied picnic table and sat. The young boy thought the funnel cake looked amazing and was sort of glad he was sharing it becuase the mass of fried dough and topping looked like a lot to eat by yourself.

" Do you want the first bite" he offered partially selflessly and partially becuase as good as it looked and smelled he wasn't sure he wanted to be the first to try the sugary confection.

Nodding in agreement, Galleai tugged a loopy tendril of fried perfection off the cake and dipped it in the whipped cream. When she popped it into her mouth, her eyes got wide as saucers. "Wow... thats..." She took another, bigger bite. "Thats really good."

Rook grinned, that was good, with his friend's approval gotten he was willing to dig into the fried sugary treat. It was sort of overwhelming he thought as he chewed through his first forkfull, It was sweet but crispy and kinda tasted like a doughnut but not quite, the whipped cream was really fluffy at this lace and the strawberry he'd gotten int his mouth full was just juice enough to add to the overall flavour without being overwhelming like in jam and stuff. To Rook it tasted like a crisp strawberry doughnut with creamy filling. " These are really good, I wonder if mom can make them at home"

A mom who cooked? This was a novel idea to Galleai. "The coven doesn't cook." She said through a mouthful. "So they wouldn't make them. But I hope your mom will make one for you. Is she nice?" The dreamwalkers perception of family was rather skewed, but she'd read enough to know that there was a norm that she didn't fit into and she was curious about it.

" If nobody cooks for you what do you eat " Rook asked. Everyone had to eat, even plants ate dirt. The boy nodded slowly " Mom is really nice and cooks a lot of different stuff. She runs a store and we all help her sometimes" The boy had told Gal about his sisters before though he had never been able to imagine them to show her in his dreams.

"I eat..." She had to pause and think about this. "I'm not sure, I can't remember right now." She smiled at him. "Nothing as good as this, though." Tilting her head to one side, her expression turned to one of concentration. "Oh... I think daddy is here. I should probably go and find him, he's not good with crowds."

" You want me to go with you" Rook asked, he'd never met any of Galleai's family and he was curious about what they were like.

She thought about it for a moment before shaking her head. "No, I'll be alright. Daddy is... kind of scary. He might not be nice to you." She smiled, though, to take what little sting there night be out of those words. "But I'll see you again, Rook." Leaning across the table she gave him a small peck on his cheek. "I'll see you in your dreams, too." She picked up the little fishbowl. "Thank you for tonight."

" Ok you're welcome , be careful" Rook said softly, he was worried a Little for Gall, what kind of parent was nice to their own kid but not friends? His mother was nice to everyone he knew. At least he'd be able to ask her how she was when she visited his dreams, and she'd have the fish to talk to if she got upset. The boys tail curled around his waist as if to give himself a comforting hug at the thought of his friend being lonely or unhappy. Rooks preferred when everyone around him was happy.
