Chehero shook her head, she really didn't want to be considered a bad host by kicking them all out in the rain, but she was sure this wasn't her house. Attempting to swallow the lump in her throat again she looked at the pink dragon, she much rather liked that one, seemed nicer to her outside of his rather florescent like skin. Her eyes suddenly fell on the jar of pickles her mouth watering she pulled one out while still looking at the three 'guests'. Munching off a part of the pickle Chehero finally spoke "S-so your not going to kill me then?" She might be setting herself up for a downfall but still she had to at least hope that they weren't here to kill her after all if they were, wouldn't she be dead by now?

Grishmak laughed and Thara sat back down on his back. In his laziness, Grishmak just dropped right back down into a messy, yet sprawled out, position.

"I don't recall ever saying I was going to kill you," the vampiress commented while scrunching her face up in an attempt to look confused and disgusted. She smirked and streched her arms over her head before speaking again. "Not your house, but you have no qualms with eating the owner's food? Very polite."

Chehero paused in the middle of munching her pickle, "I brought these one's that's how I knew they were there." Chehero smiled as friendly as she could mind the fact she was still a little rattled by the 'visitors' "Besides that we better get out of here as soon as that rain ends I really don't want to run into the real owners in case they come back to this deserted town."

Grishmak snorted and wrapped his tail tighter around himself and gave her a confused look. He hadn't thought the town was deserted, just more empty than most. There had been a few people wandering about when they arrived...hadn't there?

"I'm sure it will stop soon, it's not raining hard."

((OOC: It's okay, same here. Dx And I'm sick? Reply when you can, I can wait. :3))

Talcom nodded "Yeah, luckily rain here doesn't last very long." he looked at them and sat down on the floor, putting his arm on his knee. He moved his hair behind his horn and looked up at the fixture on the ceiling.

Chehero curled up snug like in her chair watching the window, how long would it even be till the rain cleared let alone the sun found it's staggering way through the crowed.

Avalene leaned away from the door, flattening her back against the wall. The rain did not bother her. She hadn't had a roof over her head for many years now and had survived storms and winter both. But this... she swallowed. She knew the stories. She probably knew them better than anyone around - her mentor had been a good teacher before he'd abandoned her.

They were just toying with the girl. Avalene gripped her spear tighter. No, of course they weren't going to kill her... that's not what the dragons did. She stepped away from the house and got a couple yards down the street before she stopped. Every part of her screamed just to get clear, go on, and leave before she put herself into danger.

But dragons... young ones. She rubbed her thumb along the sharpened metal and turned around. She didn't try and move quietly this time, just sloshed through a puddle and grabbed the handle of the door. Pulled out her set of lockpicks and fumbled them enough so that picking the lock would sound remarkably like someone using a key.

That should send whoever was inside scattering.

Chehero burst into a proper sitting position in her chair spilling the pickles and sending fragments in every which direction. Cursing about being found out and having been stupid enough she gathered up her satchel and rushed through the house in search of any open window. She would launch herself from it if need be. Sending a weary glance to both dragons and the bound she looked back at the door, diffidently too late to escape with that large dragon in the middle of the kitchen practically facing the door. Eye's dashing around the kitchen she couldn't think of anything to do anywhere to go. Frozen in complete fear she just stood there staring at the door... her doom.

Even Grishmak sat up, alerted to the sound of the door and not quite sure if he should run or continue lazing about and perhaps scaring the owner. There wasn't anywhere really to run too, though Thara seemed to be examining the opening to the cellar, as if debating if it was worth darting into for an extra few moments of hiding. That would be time to gather thoughts together, but really, he'd enjoy seeing who was entering. He rolled onto his back and curled slightly, making that overly cute face cats will make when you enter a room. That, after all, was the best defense. Make whoever is invading or attacking completely thrown off by a fully grown Tainted dragon making a "I'm cute, love me!" face at you.

Talcom starrd at the door, the sound of the nob clicking got his attention "What the..." the sound of nobs and doors weren't knew to him, he always had a sharp ear for it when he'd be pulling a prank. He was still sitting down, it was too late for running and were would he get out? He glanced at Grish and raised an eyebrow.

Avalene kicked the door open and drew herself out, every bardic instinct in her kicking to life. Master the situation. Command their attention. Never falter, not once, and never break the illusion. She let the door swing idly for a moment, the creaking hinges too loud for her rattled nerves.

That was one large dragon.

"What kind of vermin do we have here?" she asked softly, glancing from dragon to human to dragon. Her voice was quiet but firm. She just hoped that dragons couldn't smell fear under all this rain and that she could keep the act up.

Just like storytelling. She was bard. She knew how to bluff. A couple more seconds and hopefully she could run them off... or start running herself.

Grishmak's amusement grew greatly when the door was kicked open and the wet woman stood, taking them all in. Her pause was enough for Grishmak to deem 'taken aback' and to further his amusement he change positions tightly, to keep his 'cute cat' look going for longer. He could feel some fear radiating from the room, but it was hard to determine if it was coming from the new woman or miss Chehero. Thara calmly stood up from her spot by the cellar and took a few steps, pausing to give Grishmak an exasperated look before easily matching her gaze with the newcomer.

"Dry vermin," she replied evenly, looking slightly disgusted at the dripping woman.

Chehero stood there in a complete panic, her eyes darting to the blood stained dragon and vampire to her left. Was she the owner of the house letting out a small whimper Chehero looked around the room some more looking for some sort of help out of this situation. It wasn't her fault they were in here, she had only just woken up at the table only a couple hours ago and now someone was kicking the door in. There was no way she could run to any room, this person would most likely run right after her and drag her lifeless corpse from the house. "I'm sorry." she barely got out as she gripped her satchel tighter.

Avalene gave Chehero the briefest of glances, dipping her head so the veil sent shadows across her face, making her eyes gleam. She kept a tight frown on her lips and leaned her spear slightly against one shoulder. She made no motion to enter the house, however. After a moment she flicked her eyes back over to Grishmak and Thara.

"Keep staring dragon," she said, "I've seen your kind before. You bleed as any of us do."

"And you," she continued, glancing at Thara, "Dry, yes. But not at my expense. Get out, all of you."

Stealing a house to get out of the rain wasn't that bad an idea, actually. A brief though flickered through Avalene's mind. Get rid of them, move in just long enough to get a night's rest with a roof over her head. Gods knew she hadn't had many of those lately.

"Vermin am I now?" Talcom smirked at the woman, he had been at the receiving end of spears before from his mischievous lifestyle but she had not yet aimed it at any of them "Curious." he said, still sitting against the wall. He started to chuckle, his hair draped slightly over his eyes.
