Bazooka nodded. He found the first think in the fridge. He put then on the counter near Rocher and then went to find the next things. He found the next things together, for the most part. It did take him a while to find the preserves as he didn't know they were in a jar and looked for real ones. Still, he found them and set it all next to Rocher.

Rocher watched his friend gather the ingredients, frowning as he turned his gaze back down to the book. He felt as though he should know how hot 'meduim-high' was, and how big a 'medium saucepan' was, but as he looked up and saw at least a dozen different saucepans, and then as he selected a medium-ish one and observed the stove, which had knobs that to him might as well be from a flying car, he felt clumsy and out-of-place.
When all of the ingredients were out, Rocher consulted the recipe. "Let's see, it says to bring the cream to a boil, then once that's done we have to whisk in the chocolate, the preserves, and the almond extract. Do we have a whisk-y thingy?"

Bazooka looked around for a whisk-y thing. He found a bottle of Whisky, but knew that wouldn't make any sense. He then went on and found an egg beater. "You think this is it?" He really wasn't sure, but this did look close to what it might be in his head.

Looking over at the egg beater, Rocher poked his tongue out of the corner of his mouth and nodded. "That looks right. D'you want to whisk?" He looked back down at the recipe, reading a little bit ahead. "Uh-oh," he made a face and looked over at Bazooka. "It says once the stuff is whisked, we have to chill it for 2 hours. I guess we ought to think of something else to do while it chills; maybe make something else?"

"Oh, yeah that is a long while isn't it?" Bazooka said as he looked to the stuff to whisk. He smiled as he then did whisk not thinking of an answer yet. "I know know maybe we could make something to eat that isn't sweet and then this will be afterword?"

"That sounds like a great idea!" Rocher exclaimed as he pulled out a bowl to pur the whisked mixture into. "Tell you what; since I picked this one, why don't you pick what we can make next? I think that's only fair. In the meantime, I'll see if I can make some room in the chill-box for this."

Bazooka nodded. He pulled out a book that had easy to make meals in it. Or so the cover had you believe. He flipped through the pages looking for something that both looked good and would be easy to make. Seeing that they were first timers and all. After flipping for a while he found French Dip sandwich. "How about this?"

Curious, Rocher finished putting the bowl into the chill box, shut the door and walked over to where Bazooka had the cookbook. Looking down at the illustration, Rocher's eyes widened and he fought to keep his mouth dry. "Oh wow, that looks good! Are we to make it with cheese?"

Bazooka read the ingredients and nodded. "Yep, Swiss cheese. We need roast beef deli sliced, Swiss cheese, butter, french rolls and Auju sauce." He didn't happen to know what Auju was. "It's pretty easy. You butter the bread and then toast it, once done put the meat and cheese on it. The sauce is to be warm and then you dunk the sandwich in it."

Rocher had to fight to keep himself from drooling at the sound of the sandwich. He turned and clambored around in the kitchen until he had found the beef, cheese, butter and rolls. But then he paused. "What would Aachoo sauce be?" He walked over to the recipe and looked down at it, puzzled. "Sounds like a sauce that has pepper in it, doesn't it?" Smiling, he reopened the drawer where the cookbooks were located. "What we need now is a cooking dictionary."

Bazooka nodded. He really wasn't sure what the sauce was either. He started looking in cause there was some of it laying around. It would be easier then having to make it themselves. After looking though a few he found a dried packet. "Here I found it!" He showed it to the other male. "I just needs water."

"Well that makes it easy, huh?" Rocher closed the book drawer and peered intently at the packet. "Okay, I guess we can split the jobs up. I'll make the Aachoo sauce, and you toast the bread. The rest should be pretty easy, don't you think?" With that, he took the packet and began to carefully read the back, mumbling to himself. "Hmmm, would it be better if I just used warm water, or should I put cold water in a little pot and heat it?"

"Heating sounds good." Bazooka nodded before heading over to start up the bread. This would be easy. Just let it cook a little to get brown and then it was done. So, that's what he did.

"Okay," Rocher said as he heated some water and began stirring the powder in, until he had a good gooey sauce. He leaned over the steaming pot and sniffed appreciatively. "That smells great." He turned to Bazooka and smiled. "I think the sauce is ready. Are we ready for the meat now?"

Bazooka smiled as he smelled the sauce. It smelled good. He then looked to the bread. "Yep, it's almost ready. We can heat the meat a little and then make the sandwiches!"
