He remained at her side, watching her rest for a long moment and listening to the steady pull of her breath. Just looking at her was enough to make one feel tired and, for a moment, he debated curling up beside her and at least trying to nap.
...that was until he heard the small muffled patter of footfall on carpet and turned his head in time to see scaled blue wingtips disappear around the corner.
It appeared someone wasn't as enthralled with the movie was Kaela had hoped.
Easing himself off of the mattress and gently slipping his hand from Nani's, Zhane approached the bathroom doorway to see what Nirendra was up to.
The little one in the water was not immediately aware she was being watched, swimming unbidden for a few moments more until, turning on her back to surface once more, she blinked owlishly at the wavering visage of someone looking down at her.
She held stark-still for a moment, as if not sure what to do as she simply stared at Nirendra curiously.

Nirendra blinks as she looks down at the little mermaid in the water. Lifting her small hand, she bends her fingers as she waves to her. She was nothing like any of the people around her. Everyone had wings, but she didn't. Tilting her head to the side, she only pauses as she sense Zhane behind her.
Nirendra turns to look up at Zhane, her face held curiosity as she watches Zhane for a moment. He was the one who seem to care for the fairy, alot more the anyone else.
Looking away from him, she turns back towards the mermaid, her hand reaching out towards hers. She wanted to know who this little one was, and where she came from.

More hesitation, more curious blinking. However, as Nirendra's hand touched the water's surface, tiny blue fingers reached up to wrap around hers. The little one paused and then gave the other girl's hand a small tug, a grin forming on her mouth as she did so....perhaps confirming for herself that the other person was real.
Zhane smiled as he watched the exchange and then slowly moved to kneel beside Nirendra to peer into the water as well. In spite of his initial freakout over the entire thing, looking at her now and how small and...well...non-threatening she was, he could admit that maybe he'd overreacted. Just a bit.
Though he still didn't know what, exactly, he was going to DO with her. Maybe Aunt Karma would have some ideas...
"I'm thinking she probably needs a name." he told Nirendra conversationally. "What do you think?"

Nirendra looks up at Zhane for a moment, her bright eyes taking him in before she turns away from him. Looking back just as her hand is tugged on, Nirendra eyes seem to turn white for a moment before she gasps in surprise. She falls still as the image flashes before her eyes. She didn't know what it was, but a name appeared before her.
Pulling her hand back, she wrinkles her nose up before she looks at Zhane. Her pale lips parting only to close for a moment. She wasn't sure of her own voice as she hadn't spoken a word since she was released from the cabbage. Looking down at the ground, she draws in a small breath before looking back up at Zhane. Her lips part ones more before a soft whimsical voice escape pass her lips.
"Sellexi, her name is Sellexi.."

Hearing Nirendra speak, Zhane stopped short, blinking in surprise. He couldn't recall her having spoken a word since he'd arrived, in perfect counterpoint to Seiji's boisterousness. He guessed, considering her age, he just wasn't expecting her to be so...eloquent.
"Sellexi?" he repeated, trying the name out as he looked from Nirendra to the small finned child uncertainly. It was an odd name, but easy enough to say.
...and in some strange way, he thought, as he observed the little merchild, it suited her.
"Okay....yeah, Sellexi." he said with a bit more conviction, giving Nirendra a smile. "Where'd you come up with that?"

Nirendra sat there for a moment just looking at Sellexi, trying to figure out where she had gotten the name. With a light shrug, she looks back up at Zhane "I do not know." it was all she could honestly say at this point, as she didn't have a clue as to what had happen.
Looking back at Sellexi, she reaches out again towards her. She was curious if it would happen again, or if it was just a one time deal. Either way, it was worth a shot.

Sellexi, as she was now called, did not seem to notice anything out of place and, again, grasped Nirendra's fingers as they were offered, using them to hoist herself a bit out of the water, glimmering blue hair crowning the surface to look up at the daddy-dragon person and the little dragon person he had with him.
So many people to meet...
Zhane quirked a brow at Nirendra's statement, though he said nothing. With as many things as had gone unexplained as of late, he found himself more and more willing to believe anything. ...and frankly, he wasn't sure if that was a dangerous thing or not.

Nothing came this time...
No version, not even a single flash...
Nirendra shakes her head before she smiles to Sellexi, giving the small hand a gentle squeeze. Looking back up at Zhane, she giggles before she reaches out towards his hand "What is your name?" her voice was soft, almost as if she was unsure about asking.

"My name is Zhane." he told her, taking her hand in his own and giving it a small, but good-natured shake. "And its nice to meet you." He couldn't imagine that this one had caused Nani too much grief...then again, kids were full of surprises.
For all he knew, before he'd arrived, maybe she'd been tighter-wound than Seiji was.
