anime first? wow.... ehh, i think that when you read the manga first, you have high hopes for the anime--so it's a dissapointment because we have too high expectations...or something? sweatdrop but when you start with the anime....you dont know whats gonna happen or anything...you dont have any expectations or anything...so its better? i dunno.... -sakura

I find that reading the manga first helps one to understand the nature of what happens in the anime and how some of the changes came to be.
One simple example is when Sakura-hime goes to search for her feather unconsciously in Oto. That was not in the manga. In the manga, Kurogane-sama says that one will not know whether she's truly conscious or going on her own with something that may not be there. They put that quite loosely in the anime and don't go into it like the transaltion notes (DelRey) do, so they have to put an example of it. She follows the call of her feather and lands herself in trouble most of the time. It makes sense but at the cost of chaging the first storyboard.
Enough from me on that topic. One can probably see that I read the manga first and fell in love with it. Shoot, the only way I can get my paws on the anime is in Japanese with English subs. It's not out in the US.

yeah... theres some things you can only do with manga, so you have to change it for the anime. 's a bit sad, though. -sakura

I've loved Sakura and Syaoran since I first read Card Captor Sakura. I got started on that when Cardcaptors was still playing on the WB. I had found out that they had cut out a lot from the series, and I wanted the real story so I desided I'd read the manga! I was hooked!! Then I read Chobits!! heart Since then I've been a CLAMP fan, and when I heard that this new manga called Tsubasa was coming out, I was thrilled and knew I had to add it to my collection! I'm trying really hard right now to get the anime too, but I'm sure it's not as great as the manga.
Plus I love the romance and dreaminess of Sakura and Syaoran's love. It's so sweet and beautiful just like the love every girl dreams about when shes young. Sakura is so kind hearted too, and thats why she's my hero. ^^ It's kinda dorky I know, but I don't care. I just...love this series ^^

I like Tsubasa Chronicles because of the action and how there is a mix of my favorite characters from other clamp works.

Why I love Tsubasa... well, honestly, I love it because it has Syaoran and Sakura, but now I love it more because of the plot line. I love the action, adventure, romance, and comedy, and also the fantasy put into it. Another reason is because it's made by CLAMP. I love it because of Fai. I love it because of Mokona. I love it because of Kuro. I love the crossovers!
And... hmm... though I like the manga more than the anime... I read the manga first and as you all said earlier, I had high expectations from the anime. And finding out it was... somewhat different, I got disappointed. But I watch it still, since it's Tsubasa xd

Hmmm.... Tsubasa was actually the last CLAMP manga I ever picked up. (well, there are still some more manga's by clamp i haven't read too, but im too lazy to find them, gotta finish my other series first >>)
my friend got me into it, like everything i got into. i guess i just loved the characters in this one way too much! Sakura is defaintly much better than the card capture sakura one. sweatdrop It's really interesting too, something that hasn't been seen much yet. >> there are other manga out there about loosing memories, dimensional travel, but this one takes it a whole new level in my eyes!! ^^ GO CLAMP!

AGREED. hime really is better in ccs. unlike the tsubasa version, she can actually FIGHT. shes useful, dammit! gonk ...but chappie 123 made my day. that time, her uselessness made me happy. ANGST IS GOOD. mad d -sakura

I'm a crossover whore. *points to Kingdom Hearts* I don't know, something about them amuses me, because so many awesomefull characters appear and you're all, "OMG!". Plus, there's always a character that you like.
I love Tsubasa Chronicle so much - to the point of death. Maybe because I'm a huge romance fangirl ( Syaoran x Sakura is sooo kawaii! ) Ano, maybe because I love all the characters as well.
But also Tsubasa is just a really romantic anime and anyone who likes romance can't help but somewhat like it ( at least ). I really admire the angst in the plot as well.
