"Do not worry girl, I do not plan on killing you yet.." Hawk said, forcing her leg straight in the restraints again. He walked up to her face again, watching as the blood flowed out of her wound. It followed an indented path that was in the table, leading to a bowl-like drain that followed a tube into the ground. "You must understand, I am not cruel in nature, I am just, cruel in response to the greatest sin comitted against me." He said quietly. Hawk stared down at the floor, then looked back at Kuraime's face. He put his hand ever so close to it, enough that you would mistake him for someone about to caress her face. He then waved his hand from the left to the right, trying to get a response out of her.

"Trying to justify your own atrocities?" Kurai retorted, trying to ignore the stomach-churning sound of her blood dripping, dripping, dripping into the floor. She chould hear the hollow reverberations as it flowed down the drain.
She felt a warmth close to her face. Though the pain dulled her sense, she was fairly certain it was Hawk's hand. Despite the cuts in her neck, she flinched away from him. The soft whisper of air over skin told her he was waving his hand in front of her face. She responded by glaring at the point she knew his own eyes to be.

Hawk pulled back his hand, and looked at her, while she was blindly sneering at him. He smiled, wondering if she would have been able to look at him at all, if he would have kept his distance from her. Hawk reached down, and tapped a button on Kuraime's helm, automatically making her visor dissapear back into the mask. Hawk reached in, and grabbed the top of Kurai's head, gripping her little dome and silky hair, which was temporarily matted with sweat.. The sound of Hawk sighing could be heard echoing through the room. "Little girl, you are young..." Hawk told her. "I have experienced the best and the worst of what you consider to be living. And when you are done, you should be done. I WAS Done! I had to be finished, and yet I remained." Hawk was now squeezing Kuraime's hair without thinking. He quickly let it go, and stepped back, turning away from Kurai and the table she was on. "I am forced to continue, you see? ******** cruelty, I am constant, and I am merely doing what I can do to get by without any further remorse." Hawk paused, "Oh and do I have remorse..." Hawk looked down at the floor again, before shrugging to himself and reaching out with his right-arm. His hand gripped the handle of the saw, and he ripped it out of Kuraime's neck, spilling blood from out of her flesh wound. It all flowed down the table's drain quickly, due to the weapon finally being removed after this long.

[aaaare we finished bickering? i'll just post... -_-]
Kurai cried out just once as Hawk ripped the blade free. The sound of the saw-like blade tearing flesh was disturbing, and the wet shredding of her own skin resounded in her ears. Hawk's movement was quick, so it was over in a moment, and Kurai clenched her teeth together, her every thought bent upon suppressing a second sound of agony.
Her neck felt as though it was on fire, and she strained upwards against her bonds. I will not scream for him. The drip-drop of her blood down the drain was mezmorizing, mocking her plight. She took an unsteady breath and settled back to the tabletop.
"You sound like a coward," Kurai mused, the scent of her blood making her dizzy. "You couldn't bear life, and you can't bear death. You're afraid to feel, so you let others feel your pain for you. You're nothing but a coward,"

Hawk unbound Kurai, all it took was him to press the secret-release on the table's side where he only knew about. Kuraime's face was still in the mask, so she obviously could not see its location, since she was stuck staring at the cieling. But now the mask collapsed int the table's surface, folding sheets of metal around before the table sealed over again. The bounds were gone, and now Hawk was staring as if he was enthrilled that she was now free.
His eyebrows were raised, and his yellow eyes were observant as he leaned in and unclasped her right-hand strap, and continued staring as he sidestepped to the ankle. It was bizarre, and quite disturbing to have the person who was moments before torturing you to now be staring at you intensely like that. He was strange, for his eyes gave suggestion that his cheeks were raised into a smile under his mask. He placed his left hand on her leg, wondering if she was going to flinch like before. He applied pressure, letting her know that an attack was not optionable while he was trying to be kind enough to unleash her himself. He origionally planned on perhaps just leaving her strapped down until someone came along to take advantage of her as they saw fit. Las Noches was full of unsavory characters, and she would have had a right time...
"Afraid to feel, you say? Coward?" Hawk said, his tone not matching the eyes much, for his voice was dry and humorless for sure. Hawk then narrowed his eyes at her, and placed his right hand on the left leg's straps, un-hitching them and then he gripped both ankles; holding her legs down. "I invite you to make me feel something, shinigami. The day you are capable of such behavior yourself, I shall give you the time for an attempt. But know this, fear is irrelevant amongst the hollows.. And arrancar will never show reason to suggest such a thing is possible in the midst our ranks. The viazard though, the other defected, even Ezru; 'they' are succeptable to such shortcomings, but I am afraid those are not anything that really effect us directly."
Hawk's voice grew sharper towards the end. He was clearly in resentment when he referred to such things as hollows and defected shinigami. He was not amused at them, and did not care because what he said was correct. The arrancar were constant, and as long as they were who they were, they would never have a use for something like fear. The only way that would ever play a part in Las Noches' workings would be if it was concerned with the arcane, the viazard, or the defected shinigami and that is basically all.
Hawk leaned up and pointed his finger at the final strap, "cero" he whispered, and a tiny red beam vaporized the metal link, as he turned around. "I am leaving now, go past the Maniak wing, and up the tower that you find the reiatsu signature of that of your 'nephew' Ezru; I am sure you have things to, discuss. Then Hawk walked to the door, pausing for a short moment, waving it open, walking out into the Maniak Wing... [exits]

Kurai shivered at Hawks hands on her, and she had no greater wish than to jerk her legs free, but Hawk's grip was too strong, she knew. Though she told herself she had no interest in what her erstwhile tormentor was saying, she grudgingly listened. She was somehow morbidly fascinated by a second encounter with him.
But not today. Not any time soon. And on her terms.
And then he was gone, sweeping from the room as though he'd merely lost interest in her. Perhaps he had. That suited Kurai just fine. She wanted no more to do with her torturer. Not yet, anyway. But some day, when she was strong and sure, she'd show him what it meant to feel.
The minute he whipped out of sight, Kurai all but threw herself off the table. She landed lightly, but the minute her legs took her weight, they folded and collapsed beneath her, and she pitched just as gracefully to the floor. Weakly, she pushed herself up on her hands, tasting a medicinal bitterness in the back of her throat. She hadn't noticed it on the table, but it had to be some sort of sedative. It seemed not to have affected Datenshi, but it had accumulated in her system, and she was feeling the effects, now.
She'd never felt so vulnerable as right now, on the floor of a torture chamber in a paper gown, half drugged out of her wits. She pushed the fear down, knowing Hawk had left the door open. She just had to make it out. She'd find her 'nephew' and he'd know what to do. Kurai was proud, to be sure. Arrogant to a fault, really, but she crawled, now, on shaking arms, her goal fixed in her mind. She didn't care how ridiculous she looked. The door--her freedom--was a but a few yards away. And so she crawled, inch by painful inch.
Several yards seemed such an innocuous distance to one such as Kurai, who was often given to running places. It took her nearly ten minutes to drag herself clear of the doorframe.
The moment her head was clear, she inhaled a greatful breath, tasting bone and sand, but no sedative. She got unsteadily to her feet, employing her aura sense to detect the now-familiar aura. It was a different color, now, but it was still felt like Kazi.
Using the wall for support, Kurai set off down the corridor, towards that familiar-not-familiar aura.
[exit... finally!]

The door to the freshly decontaminated Examination room opened, as Hikari was flung into the room, landing on her hands and face. Hawk entered the room right after her, dusting his hands off. He liked the sight of the shinigami's behind sticking up in the air. Her hands were in her lap, because she was still bound which made avoiding landing such a way impossible...
"You disgust..." he spat. "******** little b***h, you want to act this way, then perhaps I should give you a refresher course on what happened in 4th, hmm?" Hawk began to slowly approach her, looming over the bound captive, menacing as he shadowed her. His muzzle made him look very intimidating when his hair hung further over his face than it usually hung. His footsteps echoed through the cold, white room. This pointed out just how alone Hikari was now, lying on her nose in the middle of a medical room. There was a bed in the center of the room, white that came out of the floor with no breaks, all made of the same material as the walls and ceiling.
"I hope you do not intend to effect me somehow, little brat. You aren't even a wasted of my time, you're just a waste period." Hawk hissed at her.

(Sorry about the wait. I haven't been feeling good lately. sweatdrop ) Hikari hit the floor hard and grimaced as another wave of pain raced through her. She moved until she was kneeling which wasn't an easy task because of her restraints. "You know, for a lowlife, you talk a lot of smack about people," she said. "It's somewhat pathetic." Hikari stared at her bound hands, wondering what would happen. "Even so, I said I wouldn't fight," she continued. "I don't go back on my word." It was obvious that she was struggling to keep that resolve from the way she clenched her hands into fists.

Hawk yawned wide, his mask fragment opening wide as his muzzle responded to the movements on his maw. He then took two steps forward, before sonidoing right past Hikari, snatching her collar as he went by. He slammed the girl down onto the table, and lashed her right arm before she could even respond to what just happened. Then the stomach-latch connected itself across her waist as he strapped her right foot.
"You are a confusing one, but I guess all the ignorant shinigami have that in common, don't they?" Hawk asked snidely. "So non-consistant." He used sonido again, appearing at her left-side, and reached his long arms across to both the left amr and leg restraints, strapping them down as he bent low so he could reach. His chin was below Hikari's breastline, but he took no notice. "I am not sure why you were so eager to put up fuss in the cell, and now when staring fear of torture in the face; you accept it and continue."
Hawk leaned to a fully-upright position and cocked his head to the side... "You act as if you have given up the will to live, when earlier you were so...alive." He said, walking over to his control panel. He pressed a button, and the hierro-strong restraints from before appeared, with the same hlemet-shield displayign the glowing text on it. Hawk then stopped for a second, not saying anything before proceeding, just standing still looking at Hikari; hovering his hand over the control panel.

Hikari grimaced when she was slammed onto the table. It hurt and for a moment she was blind. As the lights flickered into view she noticed vaguely that Hawk was standing over her in a very provocative way as he buckled and strapped her down. Funny what you notice when in mortal peril at the other edge of a psychotic scientist's scalpel, the Presence muttered. Hikari chuckled but it was strange. Devoid of all joy, it was a desperate and unnerving sound. She hadn't realized how unnatural it sounded. When Hawk walked to the other side of the room, Hikari spoke. "I guess I don't really believe in all that courage and heroism crap," she muttered thoughtfully. "I'm a shinigami fresh out of the academy with very little skill and I've been caught by a powerful enemy that could easily destroy me and who, from what I've seen, wants to cut me open to satiate his curiosity. That's the situation as plain as I can possible make it. "But, and, yes, there is a but, the situation is even more complicated. I'm in danger of dying anyway. Not to mention the other time we met which, as you may have realized, enrages me almost beyond the reach of reason. Therefore, I have a goal once I get out of here." You are insane, the Presence said. Where do you get off acting like a savage in your cell then coming in here and acting like the calmest person in the world? Didn't you listen to anything I said? Hikari sighed, exasperated. Jeez, It's like impossible to make a point nowadays.

"A goal you say? This amuses me... You act as if you shinigami really have things to do during the day." Hawk hissed. "But I want to release you from this illusion you are trapped in, because I see that you think you are actually making some sort of progress there. Please, forgive me for mocking you, but you are just a puppet of the sereitei's grand scheme. You may feel like you are accomplishing things there, but all you are doing is following the orders of some ole crackpots who have happened to have built a society full of mindless dummies!"
Hawk walked back to Hikari, standing at the head of the table, placing both hands on either side of Hikari as he leaned forward, staring down at her. "Though you all may be strong, you are still pathetic, shinigami. Following orders, that makes you a good lapdog, not a good warrior." His words trailed off as he stared into Hikari's eyes. His yellow eyes shone hard against the reflections of glowing text illuminating his face as he hovered over the girl's face. His expression seemed to change, and Hikari noticed he wasn't staring at her persay, but now was riveted with the words that were contsantly scroling across Hikari's face-screen.
He quickly raised up and walked to the side of the table again, now just standing next to Hikari's right arm as he read the results on the screen. They were a constant feed of Hikari's physical state. The room grew quiet, except for the mechanical whirr of the table's activated devices. "Well, well, it seems you are more useful to me than I thought. Your, ailment seems to be spreading... And growing stronger, oho, this is quite developmental. I am amused to seee such progress, certainly this is not why you are acting so nice to me, is it? Either way, I would not doubt that that is the only reason for your containment; you shinigami are always unpredictable so this calmness could just be a side-effect of the drug." Hawk explianed.
"None-the-less, I am going to do you a favor. You will not have to repay it, because it was my intentions from the start, and it is also beneficial to myself. I just ask you to close your eyes, and with... You will feel a pinch, and then everything will go away." It was right then that Hawk walked over to a wall and rolled his tray by the table, also pulling a white rolling chair up to the table. He picked up a large metal-looking syringe and shook it slightly before squeezing a squirt out the top to make sure there was no air in it. It was odd, for the syringe to already have liquid in it if she had just arrived, but it was irrelevant because Hawk jammed the needle into Hikari's arm. "You are going to lose consiousness girl, it will hurt. Just think of this, as your body understanding what I am doing, and stepping aside for me, hm?" He said. As Hawk's scentence came to an end, everything lagged, and Hikari's eyes became heavy as a drowsy euphoria came over her. The one wish she mush have had right then was for that same feeling to transfer physiucally, for now her body was in agony. It acted as if it was dying, until leaving Hikari alone, in darkness...
