Spirit nodded in recognition as Aedan explained what the Corrupted Kyn were. That's right, she had seen the Meadow of Life through her Princess's eyes. The memories were fuzzy and incomplete, as Rosemary was very young at the time, but enough for Aedan's words to bring up the recollections.
Spirit frowned, unaware she was now floating again. The Butterkyn had touched the eggs from which first-generation Kyns were born. And the results...
Spirit shook herself from her thoughts as the two large creatures moved toward them. They were huge. Maybe not compared to herself, but those two would dwarf any non-eastern kyn.
Spirit turned to Paradox. She knew that he had not recognized the Corrupt kyn and the Meadow of Life as she did, but the large kyns certainly caught his interest.
There has already been one elder to visit us before. Spirit's mind drifted back to a time she had been eavesdropping on Zephyr and Origin. Zephyr had disappeared for a few days, leaving the shy and scared Origin in panic. Spirit had been very young then, and she had been keenly aware of her adoptive mother -Origin's- distress. The Lunar refused to leave her room, and Rosemary had to force her to eat and drink at one point. When Zephyr finally came back, he had done everything he could to calm the female lunar back down again.
He had said something about a howl that had compelled him to go into the depths of the forest. The howl belonged to what had looked like an extremely large lunar, by Zephyr's description.
Looking at the blind, pale creature, which looked like an extremely large lunar, Spirit had to wonder if the creature that had called Zephyr was also an 'elder', or perhaps even this same kyn in front of her.

There was no true telepathy among those of the Crater Lake flight, but Myrrh had given tell of her journey to the Meadow of Life more than once, usually a few months after the arrival of a new kyn to the flight. The silver European had something of a knack for storytelling, and her butterkyn Pip always seemed to take great pleasure in trying to act out her words. Litienn had heard the tale most often. Her ears swiveled a little, intent on the words. Rutilus had gone to the Corrupts? She had known the Gargoyle throughout her hatching and puphood: she had just reached adulthood when he left. What could possibly have driven him to creatures of such darkness?
Kaido draped an arm over Jicho's thick neck as he listened, eyes wide with wonder not only at the Minya and Aedan's tale, but also at how many kyn had gathered. It was incredible, surrounded by giants of shining scale or fur and muscle... The black Gargoyle listened with less wonder and more dread. Nightmares...His visions had been as such of late. A memory flashed back of a few of the creatures he had seen, only as silhouettes or shadow among shadows, wingless not-quite-Kyns with an aura of bloodiness. Were these the beasts that had spirited the first-hatched male of Crater Lake away? And now...these Corrupt would be coming here?... The scales on his back clicked quietly against each other as they pressed against each other and his back, aligning with his nervousness.
Asani took a pace forward at the arrival of the Elder Kyn, forgetting his crowd-nerves for only a moment at the sight of the massive blood-and-gold colored creature. The call he had heard and felt, drawing him here to this place...Was that creature, European but not, European but more, the one who had summoned him? He still felt the draw... But he stopped even so, a length outside of the knot of kyns, his dislike of groups rushing back to him. The conflict of two desires, one to be away from the group and the other to find why he had been called, raging in his head and in his chest.

The news about these Corrupt kyn was distressing to Tetania. She had been to the Meadow of Life, and remembered that toward the end of their visit a loud roar had been heard, and Minya had flown off after it. She expected that event was related to the Corrupt somehow. She shuffled her wings uneasily as she thought about what might have happened to Madoc. The missing Eastern tried to see the good in everyone and was always willing to help. It would not have been hard for an unscrupulous Corrupt kyn to persuade him to help them. Although she still dearly hoped he was on the mainland, she feared that was not the case.
The arrival of the Elder kyn distracted Tetania from her pessimistic thoughts, then held her attention as Aeden explained who and what they were. Even the simple statement that they were here to help, along with the sheer presence of the two, started to calm her.
Saber stepped forward, wanting to take action as soon as possible, but knowing they needed to find out more first. “It sounds like don’t have much time to waste. Can you tell us more about these Corrupt, or about what you would like us to do?”

Cecil watched as the fact of the matter was fully explained, hunching over himself to get a more clear understanding of what was happening.
The news disquieted him, and he knew he wasn't the only one; the kyns that had vocalized their concern were clearly shaken by the concept, and those who hadn't spoken were clearly agitated as well.
The appearance of the elders, though, had a much milder effect on him than the rest of the people present, or so he felt; the day had been a collaboration of strange knowledge he didn't know before. This was merely something new to the pile of confusion.
He immediately sent a sharp thought out to Maria, forcibly awakening her.
"Ah... What is it? Has something happened?"
Cecil grimaced to himself, allowing the feeling to feed through, "There's going to be a war. With something called the Corrupt." Maria merely remained nonresponsive, contemplating the concept laid before her.
Cecil chose the more direct route; "Clear your mind, for a moment. I'll give you a bit of a sketch of the past few minutes." Cecil became agitated as he fed the thoughts back to her, and began skipping over the unimportant parts.
Maria was disquieted and fairly startled by the news, among the other things sent. "To call a meeting of so many... If the elders--as they were called--are here, it must be dire indeed."
His agitation shone through more clearly with his feelings mirrored by Maria.
There was going to be a war. A bloody, terrible war. The fact that he knew so little about the fact was what scared him; he knew not what would happen.
"We'll... all die, if we lose, won't we?" Maria stared (so to speak) back at him, and simply replied, "Yes, probably."
Cecil's anxiety was overflowing, hitting a peak; "Then... we'll have to fight." A calm voice from the darkness of his thoughts reassured him, "I'll fight with you, if you would."
Cecil's thoughts steadied themselves, and he calmed down a bit. "Then, come on. We'll show everyone we're here."
Maria started to slither towards the ranch from where she was, Cecil not even needing confirmation.

Zen stiffened slightly, glancing at the European 'Elder' warily. The Elder was much larger than him, but that wasn't what had caught Zen's attention. There was this... feeling of needing to get closer, but Zen quickly shook it off. There were more grave matters at hand.
If these Corrupt were as powerful as Aedan described them as, even more powerful than their magic, then unless all the Kyn clans banded together and went all-out on these strange Kyn, there was no chance of surviving.
This wasn't just a conflict. This was complete war.
What would you have us do then? he asked, getting straight to the point and trying to keep calm in the face of mass panic. They have the element of surprise on their side, do they not, as they are the ones who prepare to wage attack on us? Do you know of any weaknesses they possess?

Aedan was clearly unhappy with some of these conclusions, but there was little he could do to disagree. An all-out battle... would likely result in many casualties. Minya, too, seemed suddenly aggitated.
It was the European Elder that spoke, baring his teeth in a large grin. "This war will sing to a different half of your blood, my little brothers. Come. You must be better prepared." Rantil took to the air, his roar echoing particularly to the other European males.
Neti was left without her guide, but she seemed undisturbed by this change in events. When she spoke, her voice was soft and song-like. "If you don't mind, will those who have heard my song come with me? She turned, walking off around one of the buildings. Although she was blind, she didn't seem to have difficulty getting around.
Aedan sighed, turning back to the remaining group. "We need to prepare." Minya bobbed her head in agreement. "If there are any of your clan that is absent, that is well-suited to fight or defend, it would be best to get them here.

For whatever reason, Zen could sense through the bond that Juniper and Coriolis were near the ranch. Hadn't he told them not to come after him? The prince let out a light huff of displeasure but spread his wings and took to the sky after the European Elder. It seemed that the call had meaning after all. Coriolis could probably take care of Juniper.
Through their bond, Zen quickly sent a summary of their meeting so far before focusing on the Elder.
Coriolis landed on the ground some few meters behind all the other gathered kyn and folded in his wings as he waited for June to reach his side. To his surprise, instead of stopping, she continued forward with barely a pause. Deciding that she probably had a reason for doing so, he sat back on his haunches as he watched her disappear behind the ranch.
Then he turned his attention on the human and female European in front. I apologize for the sudden intrusion. My clan's prince informed me of the situation. I am Coriolis from Aezhenn Chalm, at your service.

Asani's head bobbed, watching the other males take to the air at Randil's call. He circled once, eyes turned upward, before sweeping into the skies after them, dark wings slicing through the blue sky. The pull was too strong, and his desire to end his peculiar cowardice only made it stronger.
Litienn padded up beside Jicho and Kaido. "Jicho, take the boy back to the den and tell DA to bring the flight. It won't be safe here much longer," she said softly to the younger gargoyle. The lunar couldn't help the half-raise of her hackles; she had a bad feeling about this. Kaido looked as though he would protest, but she pressed her nose to the boy's chin, closing his mouth before he could speak. "This isn't a game, Kaido. This is going to be war." Somehow she managed to keep sounding calm, despite her next words, so soft that even she could barely hear them, "Kyns will get hurt, and there's a chance that some will die." Her brown eyes blinked solemnly. "The fewer that are in danger, the better for those who are fighting."
Jicho nodded silently, the weight of what was coming hitting him full-force. He crouched to allow Kaido onto his shoulders before standing, shaking out his stubby wings. Now he wished he had hatched a European or a Japanese. Litienn rose unsteadily onto her hind legs to lick once at the garyoyle's jaw. "Fly fast, brother. Time is short." He nodded and leapt, beating west as quickly as his wings would allow.

So it was all boiling down to this. They were about to enter a war, which could possible destroy life as she knew it. One one side, she was desperate to prove herself and her kyns in battle; this was one time she did not want to be sent back covered in bandages and be half dead. On the other side, one she tried to push down, she felt..afraid. The enemy sounded very powerful, and while she had numbers on her side, most of her kyn were not skillied fighters.
This was going to be a difficult choice...
Suddenly, Toroth was on his feet, walking away from the group and towards some of the other european males, whom were now following the european elder. "wait! Toroth, where are you going?" poke asked. " This isn't the time to be running off!"
Turning around, He regarded her for a mew seconds. "Sorry, but there is...something important I must do." He then smilied. "Don't worry though, I will return. I can't let other wild kyn pick on you; thats my job." And with that, he lept from the ground and followed the other kyns.
"...well theres goes another one...". She then turned to Papilio. "Your the fastest flier I have at the moment. I need you to go back and grab Kook, Kichi and aneth. Tell the others that they must prepare for a sudden attack on the caves; improve the defences, close most of the openings, do whatever they can to make sure our home is secure. On your way, see if you can find Taku and bring him up to date Hurry!"
"I'm on it!" Pap Took to the air as quick as she could, circled once to allow her butterkyn to catch up, then flew off in the direction of their cave.

Spirit and Paradox exchanged worried glances. They've never battled anything before, except maybe a particularly stubborn prey animal. The word 'war' was foreign to them, it was never a word used back at the den, or at least not commonly. But the two understood it well enough- there will be battles, and bloodshed. And their beloved clanmates are in danger.
Dox's head perked up as he sensed a familiar connection snap into place- and Spirit recognized it soon after. It was Origin, the third of their Clan.
What is Oreo doing near here? Asked a bewildered Dox. The Silver Lunar reached the edge of the forest a moment later, charging into the ranch. She suddenly skidded to a halt as she realized there were many kyns around. Eyes wide with fear, Oreo backed up slowly, tail tucked between her hind legs. She looked lost, confused, and panicking.
Oreo! Spirit called out to the lunar. She drifted towards her adoptive mother, but Origin didn't seem to see her. All that registered in the nervous Lunar's mind was movement, and in a flash, Oreo turned around and disappeared. Spirit was about to go after the small lunar, but Dox grabbed her by the tail.
Let go! Spirit roared, turning around and nearly snapping Dox's front paw off. She calmed down when she realized who she was talking to, and she looked back into the forest, where her bond with Oreo was blocked off by a wall of sheer panic.
What was Origin doing so far away from the den? She was an easily frightened Kyn, and broke down very easily. Origin had been the one to raise Spirit through her first few months, so she had a special concern for the shy Lunar. Spirit couldn't stand seeing Origin like this.
Leave her be Spear. There are many things happening here out of our control. We will frighten her more if we go look for now, we'd best find her after she has calmed down. Paradox offered, seeing that at this moment, with Oreo's predicament, he might be the more level-headed of the two. Spirit reluctantly nodded, and tried to get her mind back to the current situation.
Any of their clan that is well-suited to fight or defend...
Rosemary, Zephyr, and Eclipse. Ilia can't come out into the sun. Spirit mumbled.
Not Rosemary, she needs to take care of Ro. Dox pointed out. And one of the brothers needs to stay as well. We have two hatchlings we need to hunt for.
Spirit nodded, realizing that she and the young Paradox were probably going to be the most useful of their clan for the oncoming battle. And this frightened both of them. Spirit did not like the responsibility, that she suddenly had to defend, to fight, and to the young Paradox, this was all very new, sudden, and frightening.
For the second time that day, another silver Lunar burst out from the forest. This one also skidded to a stop when it realized there was a gathering of Kyns, but unlike Oreo, this one was unafraid.
Spear? Dox? I'm at the ranch already?
Zephyr! What are you here for?
I don't have time to explain! Origin disappeared from the den a few days ago--
She was just here!
What?!
Spirit quickly explained as much as she could about the Corrupts and the looming war to Zephyr, who only nodded grimly at the news.
I expected as much from what I heard from the large Lunar. I need to go find Origin!
Paradox moved to block Zephyr's way.
Please, stay. There is a war looming, we need you here.
Zephyr stared at the forest longingly, his love for his little sister telling him to go find her and comfort her. But he couldn't ignore the events happening right now, events that seem like they will shape the future of the entire island.
...fine, I will stay. was his resigned answer.

((Geeze Cherry, long post is long!))
Cecil managed to pull the reins in on himself, pacing his breathing lightly and closing his eyes for a moment. When he opened them, it was just in time to see the crowd of kyns taking off into the air.
Not removing his focus from the group, Cecil saw the other group of wolf-like kyns leave the crowd as well, lead by their blind (albeit confident) leader.
Immediately following the two, a sort of tumultuous discord took place between the individual groups. A number of kyns had shown up and left suddenly, without warning.
The erratic, unpredictable appearances and disappearences were a source of confusion for Cecil, who didn't really understand what was going on; though he decided to dismiss it as such.
Looking down on the group, it became quite plain for one to see that the ranks of people in the immediacy had slimmed down considerably. In spite of the two new kyns that had shown up, there were indeed less people here now...
Cecil sighed lightly, trying to brush away his new found anxiety. "This probably isn't the best time, but I don't think there will be a better time..."
Sending out a probing thought, he searched for the whereabouts of Maria. He was met with the rather abrupt reply of "I'll be just a moment."
Cecil sighed lightly. Catching his own breath, he hopped off of the branches making only a dull thud as he landed. The branches themselves creaked and swayed audibly behind him.
No longer in the tree, Cecil's appearance changed considerably in subtle ways. His slacks were no longer held taught against the tree, and had visibly slid down his waist slightly. They looked slightly loose on him, as if they were a size too large. The new light did little to flatter his stained shirt, only bringing forth the appearance of the stains long since caused by various things. Most apparent was that Cecil, now being vertical, was considerably shorter, and likely younger, than most of the participants in the meeting. By all accounts, he likely had the appearance of a homeless child.
Unsure of how to proceed given the situation, Cecil absconded with the usual greetings and courtesies. "So, then, what's the plan?"

Origin started as she heard the voice, the voice of Neti. More importantly, of Neti using her full name, which she was so used to hearing only in serious situations. Oreo barely heard what Neti had told her after her name, for fear had gripped her again, sparked by the danger and seriousness she has come to associate with the name "Origin". With the arrival of another lunar to the scene, Oreo turned around and bolted, beyond frightened. The song forgotten, she wanted nothing but home, nothing except the warmth of her brother's fur.
The song guided her here, but it gave no direction to get her home. As she stumbled across the forest floor, she silently wept. No part of her wished for strength, she felt no shame in her weakness. The bonded who only ever had just one true bonded wished only that she had never left the den.
Zephyr perked his head up suddenly, ignoring the human that had appeared out of the trees. he sensed something much more important to him, and the two other kyns of Edoc'sil present felt it as well.
Origin! Zephyr cried out, and this time, the two Easterns could not stop him. Zephyr disappeared in a flash, running into the forest. Spirit hesitated, looking as if she was going to follow, but she then considered her bulk, then the small space between the branches, and decided it was not a good idea.
Oreo responded to her full name differently this time. It wasn't her name that triggered anything, it was the voice that had said it.
Oreo stopped in her blind run, rooted in the spot by trepidation, anticipation, and relief. A silver ball of fur crashed through a moment later, tumbling into Oreo.
Z-zeph? She stuttered, her voice, even her inner voice, still choked up by the panic she had suffered for so long.
Oh thank god I found you Oreo.
((Do you know how long I've worked on making Oreo not a wimp? gonk It doesn't work, Oreo just refuses to toughen up a bit >.< ))

Aedan shook his head, taking a few steps away from Minya, towards the ranch house. With his back mostly to the main group, he talked privately to Minya for a few moments. This is a bad idea, Minya, I've told you. If we stopped the movement to the island, there is no need for war.
Minya's tail swayed, and she snorted heavily. And we would have to hurt those we love to do that. Our options are to wait and prepare, or wait and hope. I do not trust hope - it has failed you too many times in the past.
I don't even believe sending them back to their dens would be enough. Aedan shook his head again, turning back to the crowd. "Are there any other questions?" It looked as if the group was bigger again. But would it be enough?

"Yes, I do have a few questions" Poke called out to the two who appeared to be about to leave. She decided now would be the last time she woudl be able to obtain answers, so she would have to be practical. "Do you know what these corrupt kyn look like? we need to know so we wont get caught off guard".
"Do they have any weaknesses?" Ozzy asked next, already thinking of how would take advantage of them in a fight.
"How strong are they?" Kameko then said, starting to get afraid of exactly how destructive thes ekyn could be.
As her kyn came up with more questions, poke was also startled by the new person. She hadn't seem him before and upon first glance she could see that this person was only a kid. By his question, she could also see he had been listening in on the meeting.
She didn't answer him at first, her mind considering the option of telling him to get out of here and he wasn't old enough to paricipate in a huge battle between large kyn. But that wouldn't do. But she couldn't tell him to take up armour and charge into battle...
"the plan..." she finaly started, Searching for a decent answer. "..Is to build our defences.: That was what she was going to do at first, and she assumed it would be something everyone else would do.
"Hey! Kid!" Shrio barked, not planning to be as considerate. "What are you doing in a place like this? You can't possible be thinking of joining in on the fight?"

((OOC: Keep in mind I said likely younger, Poke. He's a little short, and he is indeed younger, but he is not around years of eight or something like that. Maybe I came across as a little too strong in my text? An untrained eye might ballpark him in the 11-13 range.
Also, I can't find any descriptions of certain characters anywhere, so this post is going to be a little vague!))
Cecil stared briefly at the girl who spoke up first. Eyeing her up for a moment, he was left with an awkward inability to size her up effectively. Ignoring the rather loud, gruff words of the kyns beside her, he replied, "That's a decent enough plan, but in truth I was addressing the one at the forefront. Aedan, I think it was?"
He stared at the one who had seemed to have gathered everyone here. "It seems that we would need one, singular plan if we wish to win."
Maria glided down from the sky above, observing the crowd stretched before her. She paused beside Cecil, once more half-floating just above the ground. She directed her gaze at the black kyns that had spoken earlier, "He's involved in this as much as you or I, pup."
Cecil dismissed the brief interaction and continued. "It's stupid to catch a wolf alone. If we do this on our own, we'll just get bitten... or something to that effect. We need some sort of a plan."
