She smiled softly at his word and leaned into his touch. Yours...yours forever.
"Beautiful creature... beautiful Driezehn... my Driezehn..." she said softly, reaching up with her hand that wasn't locked in his own and brushed her fingers across his own cheek.
"Sweet...sweet... bliss..." her eyes were slightly glazed over. But soon she shook her head and smiled at him again.
"Let's get you clean... yes... clean... out of cold..." she said before going back to concentrating on his wounds.

With effecient movements, borne of practice, Dreizehn quickly washed the remaining abrasions, working carefully around the little songbird that helped him. Though he knew she didn't need it, Dreizehn couldn't help but run his hands down her shoulders, her arms, the gentle curve of her hips. Where he'd wanted so badly to hold her the night before. But if he had...there was no telling, no telling what he would have done. Her Dreizehn? Her monster...but it was too late. Too late for her to fly away now.
Shaking himself, prying his eyes from her, Dreizehn held her wrist as he made his way back to the shore. He had to get his songbird out of the cold water. So soft, so frail, his songbird. "Out of the cold," he murmured. "Back, back..." Back where? Back to the cave where he slept? Was that suitable for a little songbird, with its scarred walls and floor, the furniture that he'd found--that hadn't been destroyed yet. It would have to be. It was too late for her to fly away now.
"Back home." Maybe it would be his home, too?

"Home." She mimicked with a soft sigh. Could it really be so? Could she really be home? Could she really have found a place where she finally belonged?
"Home... pink on black on black on red..." she said in her sing song ways as she got out of the water with him and shook slightly releasing the excess droplets of water that were on her coat.
She then wrapped her arms tightly around him and closed her eyes, "home."
Mikaela had been sneaky the night before, she had seen Lexy leaving the manor again and so badly did she want to go with her, an adventure that she was never aloud. She had asked Lexy before if she could go but she would always tell her no. Not this time though. She didn't ask, she made sure no one saw her. Always staying out of sight. She would follow her.
Mikaela had followed Lexy most of the night but when Lexy had come upon the destructive path Mikaela had went and hid herself well not wanting to meet what would create such danger. Knowing well that Lexy would be Lexy as she always was. The other audios didn't like her being around Lexy, thought she was a dangerous influence, but Mikaela never could see anything wrong. She loved Lexy like a big sister, and that was probably why she was the only one Lexy ever let in.
Mikaela had ended up falling asleep in the woods waiting for Lexy to leave the clearing that she had stopped in and talked to the dark angry audio. When she woke in the morning though Lexy wasn't there no more. So she hopped into the clearing and looked around but didn't see Lexy anywhere. Not exactly sure which way to go her ears twitched and she heard the stream that was in the distance. So she followed down the destructive path towards the sound of the stream. Certainly the angry one would be calm by now, and maybe she would find her big sis Lexy.
After sometime she spotted the familiar colors of Lexy coming out of the stream with the one that had been so angry before. She saw Lexy hug him and seemed happy. Happier then she'd ever seen Lexy before. Chipper and happy she bound her way from the path opening towards the stream edge where she saw her big sis. As she ran she called out to her, "Lexy! Lexy! Lexy!" excited she had found her.

Dreizehn sighed a little as she wrapped her arms around him, feeling almost as if he were home already. Perhaps that was why he didn't hear someone approaching until she'd started to call out to..'lexy'? Jerking himself free of his songbird's cage, he shoved her behind him, crouching low and letting out a vicious snarl, yellow eyes snapping.
Mine!
He didn't feel like he walked the razors edge...not yet. He clung to clarity by knowing that his songbird was behind him. The fact that the audio approaching was a young female meant nothing. Dreizehn didn't care. He'd just found his songbird.
"Mine!"
((I know, I'm terrible, but I kinda liked it when Alexis was a little more lucid and Dreizehn was the crazy one, but this is ok, too.))

((Mikaela is a wake up call to Lexy. She'll be more lucid now.))
Everything happened so quickly then. One moment she was in her sweet delirium of her new found reality, and the next her ears twitched at hearing a familiar voice calling Lexy. Before she could even react or fully register that Mikaela had some how followed her here she was pushed behind Driezehn and he was hunched down like some vicious guard dog.
Mikaela skid to a hault a bit short of where Lexy was with the male audio between then snarling. Mikaela's eyes were wide at first in utter shock and surprise at how quickly he seemed to change. Her head quirked to the side much like Lexy did often, clearly something she had picked up from her 'big sis'. She then looked up at Lexy with a pleaing looking in her strangely colored eyes. "Lexy?"

Dreizehn didn't approach the youngling, especially since she had the wisdom to stop before she got too close. In a possessive gesture that couldn't be mistaken for anything else, he reached back and grabbed one of his songbirds wings, holding her wrist in an iron grasp--both for Mikaela's benifit and for hers.
She was his now. It was too late for her to fly away. He snarled again, this time baring fang. Mine!

With her free hand she placed it lightly on his shoulder and leaned down to his ear. "It's ok Driezehn... shhh... it's ok," she whispered to him and then gave the top of his ear a soft kiss.
"Mikaela what are you doing here? How many times have I told you to stay with the others...." she said to the purple and black teen. All while she soothing stroked at Driezehn's ears in hope to calm him down. Mikaela was the one that she took a liking to at the manor and didn't want her to meet the wrath that he was clearly capable of as she saw last night.
"I'm sorry Lexy. I just wanted to have some fun." Mikaela said ears flattening slightly. Hesitantly she took a step towards Lexy and the male not wanting to set him off he already seemed like he was teetering on a dangerous edge.

Dreizehn glanced over his shoulder at her, ears flicking back as she whispered soothing words. Even in this state, he could hear the difference between how she talked to him and how she talked to Mikaela--when had that change happened? When had she gone from...from being like him...to being more like she had in the beginning? His fur bristled, his hackles rising further, though he didn't make any further moves against the younger Audio.
As she walked forward, closer to him, closer to his songbird, his grip tightened on Alexis' wrist and he watched this Mikaela with half wild eyes.

"Shh.. shh... it's ok..." she whispered again to him trying to ignore just how hard of a grasp he had on her wrist, though if he gripped any harder she would probably end up bruised. "Mikaela you should go back to the manor, you belong there..." She said in her said in her sing song voice.
Mikaela being the curious one that she was approached the two of them and when she was close she sniffed at Driezehn. When Alexis told her she should go home her ears flattened slightly. "Aww... Lexy..." Mikaela whined looking up at her. But she knew that she probably really should go, "Well uh... Lexy... I don't know my way back."

Dreizehn snarled in disgust, knowing that she talked to him like a dog only because he was acting like one. A beast, yes. Yes. But you knew that, little songbird. You knew what you were getting into. It was probably then that he realized just how strongly he was gripping her wrist, loosening his grip slightly. His eyes flickered again, back and forth between his songbird and this Mikaela; he'd thought she was alone. Alone like him. Alone...
You can't leave, was on the tip of his tongue, and he fought the urge to squeeze her wrist again. He wasn't letting her go. Inside, a quiet war raged. He knew his songbird would want to care for the little chick.

Alexis sighed and shook her head, "Mikaela you shouldn't have come... you shouldn't have followed me..." she said kneeling down on the ground next to Driezehn and she nuzzled his cheek with her nose briefly. Please calm down beautiful creature... please... Driezehn... I won't leave... always with you. She thought to herself desperately.
"I'm sorry Lexy, I just wanted to spend time with you..." Mikaela said ears flat as she whimpered a bit. "Can't you..." she started to say and then stopped looking at Driezehn realizing that probably wasn't the best thing to ask. "It's ok Lexy... I'll find my way back somehow." She then got to her feet again tail between her legs turned toward the destructive path wondering if she could really find her way back to the manor on her own.

Dreizehn watched Mikaela. Closely. Though he was numb to her whimpering and her confusion, he also saw that his songbird wasn't flying away. She was still there, telling the one she had known that she shouldn't have come. She wants to be here. She flew home, and home was with me. With me, the monster with a songbird to call his own... Yellow eyes turned to Alexis. Once, twice...his free hand curled and uncurled as the war raged on.
"If you have to fly her home, songbird," he rumbled, fighting the growl that rose in my throat, "I will fly with you." Her soft nuzzle seemed like a balm for his frazzled state of mind, as always, her an anchor, tying him to the right side of the blade.

At his words relief washed over her, she had been torn about letting Mikaela go on her own, but more importantly she knew just how unbalanced he could be, she couldn't leave him, she didn't want to leave him, attached so attached she already was.
Flinging her free arm around him she hugged him tightly, "thank you Driezehn... beautiful Driezehn..." she said in her sing song way. "Come with me... and soon we shall be free..." she said and then gave his cheek a small affectionate lick.
"We will bring you back to the manor Mikaela but then you must stay in the others eyes you belong with them." Alexis said when she finally turned back to Mikaela.
Mikaela had stopped in her tracks at Driezehn's words greatful that she wouldn't have to try and find her way back on her own. She knew they were far away that much she did know and she wasn't sure how she would get back if she went all alone. When Alexis said they would return her, her ears perked up and her tail wagged back and forth.
"Thank you, thank you." She chirped happily and then bound over to Lexy and Driezehn and licked Alexis' cheek and then gave Driezehn a quick nuzzle hoping he wouldn't mind the quick brief affection.

He exhaled a great breath when Alexis thanked him, shoulders slumping as if he'd fought a great battle and was now exhausted. He still had plenty of energy, however, to recoil when she nuzzled him, the growl in his throat again. He wasn't sure how to react to her chipper attitude and her seemingly boundless energy.
"I'll follow you, little songbird," he murmured, tucking his wings close to his back in agitation. Once more, his ears flicked back and forth as he tried to listen to everything at the same time. Watch the girl, watch his songbird, and pay attention to the forest around him. Like a caged animal. But he kept the beast caged, kept calm. He would...he would be alright. Black on red on black on pink... He took a deep breath.

"Soon we will be back here... alone together again..." Alexis said with a soft smile and kissed him on his cheek. She then took his hand and nodded to Mikaela who had scurried to her other side away from Driezehn and was now prancing along next to them as they walked along. "Let's get you back to the manor Mikaela." She said and with that she headed in the direction south of the cave and spring.
Mikaela heeded to the growl in Driezehn's throat and skittered over to the other side of Alexis. "Thanks Lexy, thanks Zen, I'd probably get lost without you." She said prancing along side of Alexis as they moved along. The walk wouldn't be overly long twenty minutes half hour at the most but with her luck she would have totally went in the wrong direction if she had gone on her own.
