Arandell felt the tall, regal male's gentle nose bury itself in her fur. Though it was merely an accident, her face lit up like Christmas lights. She averted her eyes, suddenly finding her dark-clawed paws very interesting. However, they snapped forward as soon as the mint and blue male's words struck her.
The mere sounds and body language seemed to strike Wild like lightning bolts. She shot upward, a low growl rumbling in her throat as fierce words were exchanged. She didn't understand it... Why would this male be so intent on hurting those that had only offered him a home? It was then that she noticed it: A strange glint in the male's eyes. It looked remarkably like pain... Perhaps he had to hurt others to ease his own memories and hurt within him. Her rising hackles eased, though the low growl still found its way out of her throat. What this wolf needed was someone who cared, not enemies. And, though his words angered her as well, she knew that they came not from him, but from his memories and pain.
She was lost in her thoughs, and opened her maw to ask them to make peace, when her heart suddenly did a backflip. It's not his fault his heart burns for passion for Arandell! Her growl faded, and her eyes were once again glued to the ground as her cheeks burned. No, it could not be so... How could this handsome, powerful, kind-hearted male find love for a humble one such as herself? True, she was attractive in the world of the wolf, but not nearly so to earn the affections of a leader such as he. Her voice was a whisper as the male stalked off with a female that followed. Perhaps if he returned, they could help him deal with the pain, but for now... "What Timber said... Is... Is this true?" Even as she said the words, she began to build up a wall before her heart, preparing it for the beating it would receive. She scolded herself now, for doing so much as saying the words. It was not possible. How could she hope for such? He would think she was a fool...
And still, as disasterous thoughts swam around her head, nipping wherever they could find, she rose her mismatched eyes to meet his, hoping where there was no hope.

She stared out toward the horizon for a moment, as if deep in thought.
"I suppose... I'll stay." She said slowly, considering her decision. She knew she would not be able to change her mind after this. She turned her gaze on Timber, smiling softly.

Kitiarou Kirai frowned and sniffed at the air, noting the change. "You're...embarished? What did I do?" I asked, his voice gruff, as usual. He frowned, "Tell me what I did. I am not Kirai all the time. I do not dislike you." He was puzzled, and circled Oki until he could see her face. "You are red, why?" He bumped her gently then nuzzled her, brushing his body soothingly against her, unknowning of the motions true intentions. (( just quoting because its on the other page sweatdrop ))
Oki looked into his eyes and the redness slowly faded away. She smiled and cocked her head cutely. "It was nothing" She paused for a moment. "What was that for?" she said it with a giggle.

"Touch..used to calm me down when I was little. I thought that perhaps it would help you as well." Kirai replied, a little unsure of himself now. He...enjoyed Oki's closeness and didn't want tp push her away from him. She was, after all, his only companion. "I am Kirai." He said finally, "I cannot keep calling you Silver female in my mind, so, what is your name?"

Oki smiled kindly "Well, silver female is far from it." She laughed and sat down. "Th' name's Oki. Nice to finally learn your name Kirai."

(( I have not abandoned you! I just was without power for a week. ))
"Well met Oki. It is nice to know your name." Kirai said, smiling, and nudged her gently with his nose. "Tell me. What do you think life will be like, now that you've chosen me over the would-be pack?" His tone was serious, despite its softness. His eyes were slowly shuttering off. He would feel bad if she wanted to start a pack with him, moving from area to area looking for other wandering wolves to add to their numbers. He would never give up his mint patch, and the area appeared to be in the paws of the emotional leader Wild.

((I was waiting for Shetan or Arandell to do a post, but meh, I'll do another post for now~))
She decided to mull over the rough mint-and-blue male's words and reaction for a while. It had suddenly lit something inthe back of her mind. Something that was so far off she had shut it out completely before. She had met a wanderer, not long after she had left her home pack. She had been snappish, and meaner than even that strange male, but her actions were the same. She had denied the offer to stick together and live together, and she had stalked away with her tail up. Sahara wondered what it could mean.

(My apologies everyone! I've tried to reply about 4 times already, and each time my computer ended up eating my post!)
Wild eyes lifted upwards. Timber's words raced through his head. Can it be true that I love her? I have never felt love since my parents were taken. Is this the same feeling I had once before? His world had been of survival and learning since his puphood. Now, his brain was all in a scramble. His eyes met with Arandell's, and pure love shone in his eyes. He held there for a moment, then shot downwards towards his ebony paws.

((It's so prob~ I dunno if it's just me, or everyone else too, but whenever I go to my thread subscriptions and try to go to one of those threads, Gaia ends up messing up! So I get very little time on Gaia whenever it crashes... >>; wink )

He turned his face to a nearby puddle. Inside his eyes glowed the same look of Arandell. How can a canid goddess such as her, possibly love a beast such as I? It's blasphemy. I must be mistaken. He thought. But he knew it was not true. In her eyes, they spoke the truth.

Sahara could almost feel the change in the air. There was more tension, somehow, as she quietly regarded Wild and Arandell together. It unnerved her. She was not used to seeing peace, and anything remotely unlike her father's crazed behaviors. Absently, she shut her eyes, closing her ears to all but the sounds of the birds trilling in the sky.

"Chosen you? Who ever said I chose you?" She laughed with this remark, as it was only meant as a joke. She nuzzled his neck gently. "But seriously, I really don't know, don't really care either." She wouldn't mind having a pack, but being with Kirai she felt much safer than anywhere else she had ever been.

"Yes yes, you're right. How could I ever think you chose to come with humble me?" Kirai replied, rolling his eyes as he nipped her playfully. "Come, let us keep moving. It isn't safe to stay in one area too long. Who knows when the dragons will take it into their heads that the seas aren't enough for them anymore."
(randomness. Anyway, are there any more RP active wolves that wish to join Kirai and Oki?)

Oki let out a big puff of air "Alright..." She said, playfully rolling her eyes. She lifted up her right front paw and started walking. "You Coming?" She asked as her tail softly collided with his maw.
