My name is Raven. I live in washington and unlike most of you here. I am not a witch, wiccan, or druid. But I know lots of them. I am a Dryad. I am hoping that because you all seem to have open minds about things that are.... Well... Different than normal society seems to think. You might be more likely to know even what a dryad is, and I might be able to have a convorsation with someone about things that are......Beyond normal comprehention. I am very freindly but defensive. So if I start being mean or anything please tell me I don't mean it. I don't like to hurt people.

Isn't a dryad a variable of greek mythology? A cryptic creature whose bones unlock doors to vampiric crypt? Or something like that? Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm really interested in this, it sounds familiar; I know I've heard of it before. Is it part of your religion or craft? Or do you consider yourself to physically be one? One of my close friends, Becca, is a sanguarian vampire. Like, she bviously doesn't fly, turn into a bat or have eyes that turn red; rather- she consumes blood, is an insomniac and has hangover like headaches and queeziness when she feels low on blood and spiritual energy. She, also, obviously eats and drinks other things and isn't excluded from the human race. Just simply a part of a separate catagories, I'm one of her 5 blood doners (she has ALOT of open-minded and giving friends, bless the girl).

Merry Meet! I am a young girl currently studying wicca (witchcraft) I love to learn all about druidry, celticism (basically the same thing, celtics descended directly from druids), and of course Faeries, dragons (I once summoned one that was the most amazing thing in the world!!! It flew right over my head... then went back to where it came), I also love learning about native american workings, I am a solitary so i combine both native american, druaic, and celtic wicca, with a little sprinkle of hedge wicca. smile If anyone wishes i know a great sight that teaches wicca, but this is a religion that should be taken truly seriously not to dabble in. So if you're interested come to Magicka School and online school where you can meet wiccans all over the world!!! They give several courses depending on what kind of member you can afford to be, they have a wiccan chat room and a social site where you can join groups for arts and crafts, reiki (A form of healing using the seven main chakras within your body.), the basic courses, herbals, lifes most amazing gifts,... i could go on about this....
Any ways just call me wynd (my magickal name chosen by my ex... figure that out??? anyways the name stuck and end of story there) I'm about 4000-8000 years old (spiritaully... that i know of...) I love wolves, and also other animals in general. My favorite color is green (my main elements are water and wind (water = blue, wind = yellow) You probably know where i'm going with that so i'll say no more)
Have a wonderful day everyone and a blessed yule!!! smile
Blessed be Wynd

Hey everyone! I'm GoA-Chan. ^_^ I'm a 19 (coming on 20) year old iniatiated Wiccan from Scotland (initiated in 2007). when I'm not practising spells or taking part in rituals, I'm just a pretty normal girl. I love playing video games, surfing the web, writing stories and drawing.
Oh, and I'm currently training to be a vet nurse. =D

Hi, my name is Jessica and I am 18. I have been a solitary wiccan (or ecclectic which ever term you prefer) for over a year now so witch it is wink . I was Mormon until I was 13 and then my family went inactive. I went 3 years with no real religion when a friend introduced me to Wicca. I have to say I enjoy and believe in it much more then my previous Mormon beliefs. My sign is Leo but it is on the first day so I am half leo and half cancer kinda >.< (Leo with cancer qualities). I read tarot, believe strongly in and practice crystal healing, and am trying to learn runes.
My hobbies include reading, writing, anything japanese, making websites, playing my DS, and surfing web.
I want to be an Author and an English Teacher

Greetings.
I am agnostic, and a Wizard. I suppose I use the word Wizard differently than others; allow me to explain. Ever hear of Mr Wizard? (Don Herbert?) Nobody thought he was like Merlin or Gandalf, but they thought he was a Wizard. And that's the kind of Wizard I wish to be. I wish to be a Wizard at all I do, or rather all I like to do.
My current learning material is Oberon Wizardry, but I can't say I believe everything I read in it so far. It is, however, the closest thing I relate to I have ever seen. I learn many different things all the time, one of my focuses is religions. I have many questions to pose toward some religions, but I try not to do it in a hurtful way, just in a way that either they can understand my point better or I can understand their point better. That's all I truly want, is to understand things, and to be understood.

Electric Snowball Well, I've never met a wizard-in-training before. Hi. Nice to meet you. smile Well reading your OP I think I should tell you that Witches are indeed real. There are many different kinds. What do you define as a Witch?

un_cared_for Electric Snowball Well, I've never met a wizard-in-training before. Hi. Nice to meet you. smile Well reading your OP I think I should tell you that Witches are indeed real. There are many different kinds. What do you define as a Witch? Maybe not someone who practices magic, or however you spell it, necessarily, but someone who lives in a sort of harmony with the earth and worships a deity that is both male and female, a mother Goddess and father God. I consider myself not quite an eclectic witch, because I am still looking for an answer.

What you describe sounds like the neo-pagan definitions of Wicca you can find in local bookstores in the "new age" sections.
