She did not care what he said. Whoever this mare was still seemed like a tramp to her. She didn't say anything just turned her nose skyward with a little 'hmph'. Anything that reminded her of her obnoxious pray would be labeled in some bad way.
Her little attitude dissipated as confusion took over her mind again. She needed saving? Seraphia lowered her head, her cross jingling a little bit. She looked at him with an eyebrow raised slightly. "Was she in trouble, Fire Spike?" She tilted her head slightly wondering if perhaps she needed to rethink her judgement of the mare she had never met. If she was in trouble then she couldn't possibly punish her, that would simply be foolish.
Thinking about this, however, was beginning to make her head throb. To many conditions seemed to surround this situation. It was not as 'black and white' as she liked things to be.

Watching her reaction carefully, Axel kind of expected that. She didn't seem to be one that changed her mind easily and he probably couldn't change it at all. He continued to think about how he could explain this without sounding like he was still in love with her because as far as he was concerned, he wasn't.
"Sometimes... Trouble liked to follow her and she definitely needed the help..." He paused and thought about the wolves and that incident. But then he shook his head. "No, I really shouldn't be talking about her. I don't have feelings for her any longer but it still brings painful memories for me." Axel felt like he had already told her enough and she wouldn't want to hear all of the details anyway.
"She really doesn't mean anything to me. Does it seem like I'm still hung over her? I really can't manage to wander around out there and not expect to see her children..." He spoke softly and was looking to the ground in thought.

She puzzled over this in silence for a while. Trouble liked to follow that mare and Fire Spike thought he only caused others problems. It seemed like a match set up only to hurt those involved. Her eyes drifted upwards to where the sky should be and stared. Whoever it was that brought those two together was much better at causing pain then she was and she never wanted to be like them.
She lowered her gaze to look at the stallion before her. He looked rather pathetic really. She took a few steps closer and tugged on one of his spikes again but not nearly as hard as she had been before.
"If she means nothing to you I would suggest you stop acting like she does. Remove the bad memories and fill them with something that suits you better." Seraphia did not have the best advice to give and she was not exactly gentle when she had some to offer. When she said something, though, she meant it and to her the best course of action to take when something wasn't pleasing was to ignore it or remove it.

Axel didn't react or anything. He was deep in thought but he knew he should probably stop and try to keep his mind off of her. He had seen her children a few times and he regretted it. So, the forest was the only answer and he had been strict with himself so far.
He looked at her with distant eyes unsure of what to do now. He was never sure about anything. "I guess. Again, easier said then done. I've told myself that a lot and so far, I haven't really succeeded. That just means I'm weak though..." Finally, Axel could admit his vulnerability and for some reason, he was okay with that. He hated that his thoughts dwell on Wica so much but he couldn't help it. But here, he hadn't thought about her in a long time because there was nothing here to remind him of her. "You understand why I stay here now? It's just the best." Axel shrugged again continuing to look at her with uncertainty.

She tilted her head to the side listening once more. She let out a small laugh as he finished speaking and shook her head. "I do not think it is better for anything. All you're doing is hiding." She laughed a little more making no effort to quiet the sound.
She couldn't possibly imagine what he was thinking. Here he was hiding in the dark wondering why he couldn't forget some little trouble-attracting tramp. More specifically, he was alone in a place where he only had his thoughts and memories to rest on. "You do realize that you can not forget or ignore her because that is all you have here right?" She asked with a little smirk. It was something she had not thought of earlier but she would much rather sound like she had thought of this ages ago then look even remotely like a fool.
"You can not honestly expect that you will just stop thinking of something because you tell yourself to stop, can you? What you need...is something to replace those thoughts with. A distraction."

"So?" Axel gave her a skeptical look. "What's wrong with hiding?" That actually sounded pretty good because he really didn't mind hiding. Again, that meant he was out of everybody's way and that was perfect.
Looking at her skeptically once more, Axel really didn't understand what she was talking about. "Uh, I have nothing here. I don't dwell on her and I don't think of my old life. I have nothing left to lose so that's perfect." He really did believe that and he thought that he was meant to be alone and in the darkness. His mentality was difficult to comprehend but he understood a few basic things about himself.
"What? Distraction? I don't think anything could really distract me right now. I'm not interested in doing anything and not interested in socializing. So, there's nothing that really can possibly distract me. Even my conversation with you reminded me of her somehow. I don't even know how, maybe just the mere fact that I was talking to somebody else."

She snorted. What was wrong with hiding? Was he serious? It was the cowards way out of things. "Well who wants to be a coward?" She asked with no indication as to what she was speaking of.
Her golden eyes focused on him as he shot down her advice like it was just a pesky little fly. He didn't like how her advice sounded? Fine. She would prove how effective it could be. Her pupils narrowed to rather feline like slits and she smiled. "Wings can be used for other things..." She murmured glancing back at her pretty feathers. She lifted them from her sides and nipped one of the white ones gently.
The little smile grew into a rather insane grin before she spread her wings wide. She laughed a little before bringing them down aiming to smack him in the face, hard.

"Hiding doesn't necessarily mean you're a coward." The stallion shrugged slightly wondering if he should say any more on the subject. "There are other things much more cowardly then hiding. I'm sure if you thought about it more, you would understand what I'm talking about."
Looking at her curiously, Axel was really perplexed by what actions she took. "Like what?" He thought the only purpose for his wings were to lift his body off of the ground. Why did she keep pulling out her feathers? There must have been a reason since she seemed to be one that always had a reason for doing things.
And he was caught off-guard when she smacked her wings down on him. "What was THAT for?" Really, Seraphia was going to drive him crazy in the end, making him think of unwanted thoughts and smacking him. He couldn't help but laugh a little.

She could not imagine many more things that would make you more of a coward then hiding. Unless, of course, it was a game. She said nothing further about it. She was right about it and that was all that mattered to her really.
She couldn't help but feel satisfied with his reaction. Perhaps she would hit him again? It was rather entertaining. She decided against it before tucking her wing back to her side. She moved to straighten her feathers out a bit when she heard him laugh.
Seraphia blinked and looked at him a little confused. It was easy to see why she found it funny but what made him laugh? It was supposed to hurt. She frowned. Perhaps she should hit him again. Her wing twitched like she was preparing to do just that but she did not act on it. It's job was done for the moment based on Fire Spike's reaction.
"It hurt...just a bit...correct?" She asked a thin smile bordering on insane spreading on to her face. "A good distraction?"

Axel didn't play games. He really wasn't the playful type or he didn't realize it at least. He was a lot more serious then he should be. He tended to find strange things humorous or entertaining. She clearly was amusing him and he liked that about her and she kept him distracted.
He noticed her frown and laughed again. "Silly. I guess it did, if you want it did." And he nodded at her second question. "A very good distraction. You seem to be good at that." Axel gave a half-hearted smile; he wasn't used to laughing and smiling so much it seemed like his body had to get used to it again.
The stallion wanted to smile and have fun again but his little demons kept haunting him in the back of his head. He needed to snap out of this because he was going to end up burdening other people with his horrible mood.

She didn't much like being called 'silly' it wasn't a suitable name for her at all, however, her smile did not leave her face. She was somewhat pleased. She was being praised and praise was always something she welcomed.
She tossed her mane and ruffled her feathers feeling rather proud of herself. "Then...there are things that can distract you." She said a satisfied tone in her voice. "And I am one of them." He had said it himself she was a good distraction. She could put his mind on the little tramp of a mare and also take it off it seemed.
It was like she had some strange sort of power. She rather liked it.

Axel managed another smile at her. "I guess. But that would mean that you would have to be with me all of the time?" She had been the only one who had really just taken his mind off of everything. It's not like she had brushed it off, she had talked to him about it, not trying to soften anything. It was a refreshing change.
He didn't mind giving her this sort of power over him. He needed it. Before all of this, Axel would have never allowed this. He was his own stallion but his heart had been broken. That was enough to break anybody down. Axel knew that he wasn't his old self but he was hoping that he wouldn't be like this forever.
"Do you mind, using your time up to just talk to me? It seems like a waste..." Axel shrugged tiredly.

"Be with you all the time?" She blinked her eyebrow raising slightly. She couldn't do that. He seemed to have no intention of leaving this place and she had to. She had a mission to complete. She couldn't spend all her time here seeing as Dark Mousey clearly was not around.
Her golden eyes studied him for a while. She did not mind being near him, he was quite interesting. It was not a waste, just another side trip as she continued her search. If she stayed here then it would slowly become a waste of time, not the talking itself but the location.
She tilted her head to the side the thoughts running through her mind at varying speeds. "I can not..." She said slowly as a thought began to form in her mind. It formed slowly but as it did she began to grin a little spark glowing in her eyes. He could fly. He could get where she could not, in to the sky. "Unless...you...come with me..." It would work out well. He would have his distraction and he could go where she was unable to! It was perfect. Just wonderful.

Eying her carefully, Axel wasn't sure what she would say to that. Well, he didn't realize what he had said until much afterwards. Was he implicating something? Did he want her around all of the time? He kept questioning his question.
When she said that she couldn't, Axel felt him drop a little but he didn't care. He would stay alone as usual and everything would go back to normal. This mare had turned his world upside down and he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not.
Raising a brow, Axel wondered what she meant. "Hm? Go with you where?" Axel started to wonder if he could trust her or not... There were deceitful soquili out there and he wasn't ready to be deceived again. He needed a... routine life without change because his mental state really wouldn't be able to handle anything major.

"I am not sure." It was true she had no idea where to go. She just checked from place to place occasional picking up a trail and following for a short while before losing it again. "Just, out of here." She gestured into the darkness with her head and shuddered slightly. She had been focusing on the stallion for so long she had forgotten exactly how black it was around them.
She turned quickly back hoping to forget about it once again. She wouldn't think about it until she left. It was for the best. Focusing on him once again she was able to block out the world around her, oh the joys of a selective mind.
It seemed that she had been right and he did not intend to leave. It was a shame. He could have been so useful. She frowned feeling rather upset. She didn't wish to leave but she could not stay and if he wouldn't go with her...she did not have any choice.
Seraphia would absolutely have to go. She had a mission.
