Basil was caught offgaurd by the small demon that had attached itself to his hair. Dropping what remained of the egg shell in his hands he tried his best to make the demon let go, "Oi little man! Let go! hair is not a toy!" after a few seconds of fighting he let his arms drop down by his sides and gave Mao an unimpressed look, "Well? I believe this-" he pointed to the demon baby hanging from his hair, "belongs to you?"

Mao laughed and backed away from Basil. "Nah uh! You were the one holding him! He is all yours!" Meanwhile the little demon still started to yank and pull at Basil's hair, laughing at the same time.

Basil just growled, "Alright ya little squirt, time to go!" he grabbed the demon round the belly and yanked as hard as he could, "YOUCH! SON OF A-!". He glared at Mao, "I thought pixies were susposed to be helpful? Get over here and use some magic or something...gah! please" he tried to calm himself down, anger was clearly not going to solve anything here.

Mao kept laughing then waved her hand and the little demon was removed from him. "Sorry about that! It's so funny to see you actually react."
Ethan looked at Basil and frowned. "Sorry Mister." He put on a great cover.

Basil just stood there, a very unimpressed look on his face, "Well I'm glad you thought it was funny, because I sure as hell didn't!" he rubbed his head which was still hurting like crazy, "No harm done lad I suppose ...what you going to call him Mao?"

"Sorry." Mao flew over and looked over the small demon, he had this leaf on his face that was so cute, and sorta added to his innocence. "Val has been calling the egg Ethan since we got it."
Ethan wagged his tail and looked at Mao. "Ethan! Ethan."

Basil dusted himself off, “Heh, he’s a clever little thing isn’t he? Wonder why he didn’t like you when he was in his egg Mao?” Basil had decided not to directly address the question to the young demon in hopes he might answer it anyway.

Mao looked at Ethan and sighed heavily. "When he is alone with me he will try to kill me!" She yelled at Basil, it was true. From the first time she held the egg it was hot. When others would hold it that wouldn't be the case at all.

Basil folded his arms, he thought Mao's outburst was highly over exaggerated, “Oh come on now Mao, he’s just a little kid. Why would you assume something so ridiculous? …If anything you’ve probably just put the idea into his head” Basil looked at Ethan, realising they had been discussing him as if he wasn’t there, “You wouldn’t try to kill Mao now would ya? I can tell you’re gonna be a right little terror, but killing isn’t even in your vocabulary now is it?”

Ethan looked at Basil then smiled widely then nodded a quick yes. He hated the fairy. She was always so happy, he wanted to see her cry and frown and see that people could hurt her if they wanted to. He wanted to.

Basil stepped back kind of hesitantly, "Er well...he is a demon, so what can I say?" he shrugged, "I'd sleep with one eye open Mao, if I was you"

Mao glared at him then looked at Ethan. "Let's go." She smiled a little at Basil. "I have to go find Val. Maybe you two will cross paths later on?"
