Where to you think the term "Death Metal" came from? It originated as people describing "Death's Metal" because they had a style all their own. Death is the grandfather of Death Metal as Dio is the grandfather of metal in general.
Listen, brother, I mean this in no offense. If you wanna argue with Zero and I about Death metal, you'd better study up. Or better yet, argue with me about sludge metal. Har har.

Even though Death Released their first demo in 1983 it sounds more extreme thrash rather than what we would call Death Metal, so I often refer Possessed as the Godfather ;P.
