shomeru xXxHawthorneHeightsxXx I'm five foot three inches. I hate it. Being short sucks and even if I was just right for the fashion I wouldn't like being short. I can deal with it but I just wish I was like six foot. That'd make me happy. Well I guess I can buy some platforms and then wish for a growth spurt!
why would you say that every one know girls are alot cuter when they are shorted, and tall girls are like just out there.
idk why do you want to be tall anyways dont all girls want to be shorter than their bf? I am generally a lot different then most girls. If I had a bf that I could stand next to I would not mind being taller then them. Actually it'd be pretty interesting. Being some what of loner spirit I think it's fair to say I don't fit into the all girl catagory. Also if I were taller it'd give me a boost when I spar.

Well, I'm around 5'5" to 5'6" and I'm a little big. But personally, I think being Lolita is all about the clothing, attitude, and music. But that's just me. So no, I don't it has to do with how tall you are.

So what if some people think you look like a "giant doll"? Average people think that about all lolitas. I don't think they would care much about height. ^_^
I've never wanted to be shorter. I'm 5'8", and all my life I've been called cute. "Sweet little thing". It's a mindset that makes a girl cute, not a height. My fiance is 6'1" though. xd

Don't hurt me crying I think in general Lolita's look good when they're small, but there are taller Loli's that look just as good. I don't care how thick or thin people are though, Loli's of different weights all look good to me^^ I think that the Lolita style was made to look better on smaller girls so it's harder for taller girls to find things that suit their size. I'm small, but I have a friend who's really tall and has a lot of curves and she says it's harder for her to find Lolita clothing that suits her but when I see her dressed as such she looks really good anyways.
So...I guess this is kind of a mixed post, neh?

I'm 180 cm and I'm as tall as most dutch people are.. considering I'm dutch. So wearing big shoes doesn't really bother me, as it only puts me 'above average', instead of 'giant'. xD
I'm curvy too, but I just don't wear super-tight clothing and then I'm fine.
I think everyone can look good in Lolita clothing, only with a little consideration to your own figure.
I mean, I have a huge chest, so of course I'm not going for the bolero-coats some Lolitas have.. even though I love cute Lolita style the most. But that would make me look like a brick from the top. domokun

As with all fashion, there's the 'made for skinny people' look and the 'made for large people look'. (I refuse to say fat because I think, that unless someone has a diagnosed illness that overweightness can be contributed to, then the person has a responsibility not to be overweight, like smokers have a responsiability to give up.) For the larger loli there are always capelets to hide their bust, or dark, full length (and therefore slimming) stockings.
In the end thin and short attributes belong to a 'little girl' which is the look lolitas are going for.
However I don't let the fact that I am 5'7 stop me wearing 5" heels. =)
