Tunda felt himself flushing slightly at the question, shaking his head in response. "I... couldn't sleep. I've been awake all night. I... think it's too soon for me to sleep alone, I guess... Kept having nightmares and waking up." He mumbles, staring down at his small plate of food.

"Oh... yeah, I had a feeling. That's why I asked..." Mel yawned; he had no shame in the morning either. Before the eggs were done, he wrapped some bacon up in paper towels on his plate and set them in the microwave. Less grease, still crispy. Then he started the toast. "I could arrange a room mate for you if you want."
(( Also clueless first thing. <3 ))

((LOL <3 ))
Tunda blinks, looking up from his plate for a moment before looking back down at his food, as if it held the answers to every question known to man. "If... that's what you think will solve the problem." He mumbles, not mentioning that he was generally scared of meeting new people, as the incident with both Ed and the doctor had been.

"Hm..." Too much to think about. Mel rubbed his eyes and remained silent until he was finished dishing up. He set the plate down next to Tunda, then poured himself some juice and sat down beside the other. "I dunno. Now that you're safe it's up to you to decide what you want to do. You can take as much time as you want to get used to things. I know it's a big change. It doesn't have to happen at once; you can take baby steps if you need to. But if you're too used to sleeping in the same room as someone else..."
He yawned again, putting his rambling to rest. Was he even being coherent? He didn't know! "Sorry... Just basically, whatever you want to try... I'll try to help you out with. If you need a roomie to help you sleep, I say go for it."

Tunda frowns slightly, shifting his glance to Mel again. "I... only feel comfortable around Ed and... you..." He mumbles before stuffing a rather large bite of egg in his mouth, effectively keeping him from elaborating any further on that sentence for the moment.

"Oh. Um..." Mel took the lull in conversation to eat his food. The eggs... got a little over cooked. How disappointing... "I guess... my place would be quietest. I keep it like a tomb so I can read...draw, study... Kinda boring. Good for sleep, though, eh?" The dragon grinned at Tunda. "Ed... kinda likes to party. I mean, he's a bartender. If you bunked with him you'd meet all kinds of people. He's easy to get along with."

Tunda cringes slightly at the thought of meeting so many others at once, then looks down at his place again. "If I'm not too much of a bother... Could I stay with you...? I.. mean... Ed's nice, but I don't think I'm ready to meet a whole lot of others yet..."

"Hrmm..." Mel frowned and pondered, poking at the rest of his breakfast. His brain was slowly coming alive. He certainly had a lot of floor space; his tendency was to litter it with books and papers and all kinds of crap because of his "visual mind." If it was put away he would lose it, in other words. But he could adjust... Tunda was his responsibility after all, and they would both need to adjust. "Okay...I can do that. You'll probably want the floor, huh?" Ooh... maybe he could get Tunda one of those roll-out futons like they had in Japan. It would technically be on the floor, but it would be a bed. Very cool...

Tunda looks up and gives a hopeful smile before nodding. "I promise I'll do my best to stay out of the way and not make a peep." He says, his tail sparking slightly with relief.

Mel's eyes widened briefly at the sparks arching along Tunda's tail. He had seen what he had seen, right? "Well, don't do that. I do like to talk... and if you don't talk to me, I'll end up talking to myself. And if you don't make a sound, I won't have the sense to feel embarrassed by it. So you have to, now don't you?" The dragon rose from his chair and took his dishes to the sink. Then he took to the coffee pot, pouring himself a cup this time with plenty of 'pollution.' "Oh... you're going to have to help me pick stuff out for you too you know," he said, glancing back at Tunda with a grin.

Tunda blinks, staring at Mel for a moment before slowly using his crutches to stand up, grabbing his now empty plate with one hand before bringing it up to his mouth, gripping the plate with his teeth while he hobbled his way over to the sink. Once there, he carefully set the plate and silverware down on the counter. "W-What do you mean, pick things out...?" If the other wanted him to talk, he'd talk, for sure, but picking things out? He'd never done anything of the sort before.

Mel watched, or rather stared, as Tunda brought his plate over. Wordlessly, he stepped aside. "You're going to have to learn to ask for help. No one is going to think twice before helping someone with crutches." Swallowing a grimace, he took a sip of the coffee. Still a bit hot... but drinkable. "And yes. You are not going to just sleep on the carpet. I don't care what you decide to sleep on, you need your own stuff. And I'm not sharing a toothbrush with you. No offense...but I wouldn't even share with my own siblings. Ew. And clothes, you need clothes."
He blinked. "Which reminds me... we need to get a pipe cutter or something for those chains. I'm sorry, that's just too Medieval, even for some of the guys that live around here..."

Tunda looks down at his clothes and the shackles on his wrists. Since he was under Mel's care, he wouldn't argue with the dragon. Mel did save his life, after all. "Okay." He said in a meek voice before hobbling back over to the table and carefully picking up his mug.

Mel raised a brow as he watched Tunda, then set his cup down and slipped over, taking the mug out of his grasp. Getting more agile, thanks to caffeine! "So... want some more coffee? How do you take it?" he asked with a toothy grin.

Tunda blinks as Mel easily took the mug from his grasp. Blinking up at the dragon's toothy grin, he looks over at the coffee pot. "I... It isn't that far away... I did cook while using these things, after all." He objects quietly, then sighs and shakes his head. "Sugar, Vanilla bean syrup, and soy milk until it's a pale brown color, please..." He mumbles, slowly sitting back down.
