Kai looked down at the dent. "Oh, sorry. Demonic rage kicks in a lot." He put his hand under the table and punched the dent back to its normal position along with Zephyr's. He breathed deeply before looking at the list. "Great, I'm going to have to get that place at least decent before they show." he eyed the list. "So few people this year, I hope we can get this ordeal sorted out." rubbing his eyes he returned the list back to Ialo. "Thanks man, I'll have to keep an eye out for that overgrown tiki torch."

((I'm going to assume he was nice enough to use the door.))

Aphrodite was the one to open the door. "Hello..." she said, cocking her head to the side when she didn't recognise the person in the doorway.

((Oooo I like something that Kai said. What if the reason that the Western Hemisphere and parts of the Eastern havent been repopulated/repaired/farmed or anything yet is because the intense heat turned any and all Silicon into glass? Silicon is the most abundant element in the earth's crust, so its entirely likely that a very rapid, powerful heat source over a large area could turn vast expanses of land into glass))

"Um. Sure. Come on in." Aphrodite moved out of the way. "I'm Aphrodite, by the way. And sorry for the mess; Hades--Aristotle's lizard--got loose again and some stuff got knocked over. Here, have a seat, I'll get Athena for ya." Having led him to the living room, Aphrodite yelled, "ATHENA! YOU GOT COMPANY!" Her voice was sure to carry throughout the house.

"Shuddap, I'm right here," Athena said, walking in from the kitchen (which happened to be right next to the living room). She was still eating mac and cheese (she'd gotten more) and still in her PJs, though she was pretty much oblivious to the latter. "You don't need to yell so loud..."

"Sorry," Aphrodite shrugged. "Thought you were still in your room."

Athena rolled her eyes and walked closer to the guy her sister had let in. "Um. Hi," she said. He was wearing a suit, which made Athena feel rather underdressed. Then again, she would have been even if he were wearing normal clothes, what with her PJs and all, but she'd forgotten she was wearing them. They were plain hand-me-downs from Artemis, anyway.

Athena took the envelope, placing her mac and cheese on a side table. "What's in here?" she mumbled, opening it. Reading the papers, she saw that she'd been accepted into a school. Skimming them, she got excited. If she had a tail, it would be wagging at least a bit. This sounded awesome! However, the expression on her face had barely changed, despite her excitement--only the slightest shift in her eyebrows and the openness of her eyes would give her away now. "So you're basically asking if I wanna go to this school, then?" she said, just to clarify.

"Hell yeah I'm interested!"

At that moment, of course, Asia (the mom) walked in. "Athena Astra! Watch your--ARISTOTLE!" Suddenly, she whirled to the stairs, where said teen was shrinking back, holding Hades firmly down. "I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO KEEP THAT LIZARD IN HIS CAGE!" The 'oh crap' expression on her brother's face was just hilarious; Athena had to giggle, but that brought the attention back to her. "Watch your language, young--oh, what's that?" Asia took the papers from Athena's hands and skimmed them. "Alright, sounds fine." Then she rounded on Aristotle again, who was attempting to creep back up the stairs, but failing.

Athena rubbed the back of her neck as she refaced Ialo. "Sorry about that. My mom can get a bit side-tracked. She probably didn't even notice you were here."

Asia came right back in after that sentence, shaking her head and muttering something about her sons not taking proper care of their pets, and paused. "Who's this?" she asked, pointing to Ialo.

Asia laughed, accepting the card. "That it does!" she said. "Well, hello Ialo, I'm Asia Astra--I'm Athena's mom. From what I saw in the letter, it sounds like a good experience for her. Is there anything that we should know about?" she asked. Aphrodite was still listening intently, probably hoping that Athena would get the okay so that she could have the room to herself--and worrying for her sister, of course.

Asia raised an eyebrow. "Hello..." she said. Athena cocked her head to the side.
