In my everyday interactions with random Gaians, yeah, there's a lot of younger ones. The ones that aren't, a reasonable number of those are unsavory( as I might be considered also rolleyes ) I just keep talking to the ones who prove themselves cool through basic grammar, spelling, and conversation topics. I'm yet another one who's 28.

Another 28 year old here as well. This guild saved my gaia life as I was very near to quitting as I was getting kind of bored without having anything in common with anyone I was in contact with. I'm very thankful for you guys and this guild.

I'm very thankful for you guys and this guild. 28 year old right here too! As I am french I couldn't understand what the teenagers wrote in a very bad english "LuuUUUuuuLLlll thIs Is Teh SecKKKsss! LuV it! LmFaO !!!" eek Fortunately I found a thread where there was people older than me and who used a good english grammar. And a friend in this thread was talking about this guild! I'm so glad I heard about it!

I just turned 33 on the 20th of November. I realized that most everyone on Gaia was young but it was the only site that I could chat with friends that didn't require a download, as at the time I had just moved here and was stuck using city library computers. I stopped coming on when I got internet at my house and could use my home computer. Then I started getting hints about zOMG and then somehow ended up finding the Geezers. Now I'm on at least once a day I think. It is a relief that I don't have to play zOMG only and remain silent on the site the rest of the time, having other people with well formed (if different) opinions that one can engage in intelligent discourse with. Luckily enough tho, I never quite grew up all the way so when I do talk to random crews I'm in they seem to think I'm young for some reason. Whenever they ask my age and I respond I typically get eek , I have one recent friend that I crew with on a regular basis who still doesn't think I'm 33, he's always telling me I'm lying. I find it rather funny. I suppose maybe it's time for me to settle down go to school and get a real job, maybe that'll make me seem older, I've done just about everything that was on my things to do before I die list. Alot of people I run into tend to think I'm a screw up, and I suppose in some sense I am. I mean I made like maybe 8 grand last year, many yuppies look down on that. I know my parents do. I wonder how many of those same folx can say they've been around the world underwater, or walked on the arctic shelf, been running a dune buggy in Bahrain, been to burning man, jumped out of airplanes. s**t what was I supposed to be talking about? Sorry I got to rambling again, I'm gonna shut up now and train to recover from my de-railed train.

butterflyrosemary I'm going on a limb here in saying this, but if there's anyone over the age of 29, but under the age of 33 ...41, here. stare The fact that gaia is set up for 14 year olds is fine, but sometimes I wish that there was a decent website for people >30 that had as many things to play with and was as light-hearted as Gaia is. The only thing I can think of is Yahoo games, and that's just ...*searches for the :vomit: icon*

Draconian Pheonix ...many yuppies look down on that. Hahah you said "yuppies"! Do we have "yuppies" these days? lol I'm not teasing, it really did give me a giggle. I'm so confused by the new labels that "they" (I really don't know who "they" is) put on groups of people. Who decides to slap a label on a group and then tells everyone and people actually listen and start calling those people that name too. Stuff like that baffles me. Yesterday, this 15 yr old was saying something about "scene kids" (i guess that's the new thing lately). Me and a couple others in the crew were like "What exactly is that?" "We don't know what you're talking about." The kid asked how old we were. I'm 29 and one other in the crew was 25. The kid just said "That's why you don't get it." He never actually tried to explain anything. I doubt he even knows what that means.

He never actually tried to explain anything. I doubt he even knows what that means. I have no idea what terms for groups of people are, never did. I still don't know what exactly a yuppie is. I use the term generically to mean the so called successful people who drive the largest SUV they can get their hands on, who live for money and success, and who look down on those of us who choose a more "transient" life style. I only work when I need money, never much cared for money. I work a part time job at autozone right now, I do handy man stuff for the people in my neighborhood, fix cars, build houses, rem-model houses, cook, whatever. Move from state to state, city to city, just enjoying what there is. It's getting harder to do that in this day and age so I'm probably going to end up having to go to school and get a real job, It's depressing çause I don't feel like getting into the rat race, but hey, I'll find something fun to go to school for, or maybe move to another country and keep doing the same thing I'm doing now. Hapiness and enjoyment is what's important right?

I'm 22 and thankfully the M&R subforum in the ed has a collectively older age demographic than the rest of the forum. Every now and then I head over to the GCD, the writing forum or the life issues and everyone is so much younger. I can't always read their posts (I know I know I should be hip with the chat speak but past lol you've usually lost me).
Still I was glad to see this guild. It's nice to be some place where you aren't the oldest person in the room by leaps and bounds.

22, soon to be 23. Yeah, that is the core demographic that Gaia is designed for.
Mizducky: Scene kids are practically emo kids w/o the wrist cutting aspect; they just dress the part.
