Her send to Blaze had a tone of sadness to it as she said, *They will not let Fire Bright in. Not that there is really room for him.* She thought for a moment. *What about the cave you picked for yourself. Isn't it in rocks that Fire Bright could get to?* Hope sounded in her send this time. She would have said her den but it to the cat could not get up into.

**I don't think he could get up in there, anyways. At least, not safeley.** At the mention of his hole in the wall, he laughed slightly. **Your cat would fit. But that's all that would fit. And it's a bit higher, too.** He scratched his head, thinking. **What about the hog? We aren't going to just leave it to give to them untill morning. No. Let's take it to them. Then if you still want to stay away, we can go see if that cave by the falls you healed me in isn't flooded. That one is big enough, and acessible from the top of cliffs, even for Firebright.**

Dancer frowned and sighed a bit. "Yes we should get the meat to the others." She knew all to well that Savith would never let her leave with her cat even if Blaze went with them. He had pointed out well her importance in the group and Savith must see it the same way. She urged Fire Bright to walk on till they got to the cave. On the way she leaned over and lay against his thick neck. Rain pelting her face but she didn't care. She reached up and scratched him behind the ears and when they reached the cave Dancer sent up to Savith but not in lock send. *Blaze and I are back. We have meat. Do you think you could lift it?* Slipping from her kitty's back she hugged him tight. "You must go back to the woods my friend. Thank you so much for all your help." Kissing his nose she waved a hand at him. If Blaze was off then the mighty cat took off into the rain and wind. Dancers long face showed clearly how she felt about having to send her friend away. It was good that tears looked like rain in the rain.

(New day.)

Autumns joy: Autumn had brought Dew her rabbit as requested. She knew it wouldn't be long before everyone knew what had happened between her and the young Wolfrider. That didn't other her as much as the though of everyone coming at her at once and a fight or flight emotion set in making her hurt someone again from the group. So she close flight before it got to that point and it was a good chance for her to just be alone and be herself. So at the moment she walked slowly through the woods. She wasn't really far from the others. Star might find her easily if she chose to sniff her out. Any of them might find her if they truly wanted to but how she would react to being hunted down was any one's guess.

ChosenSavith: At Peyote's request, the glider flew off in search of the rock shaper. His mind sent out, calling her. **Autumn Joy? Shaper?**

Autumns joy: When she replied only a moment she gave him. Not enough to lock onto her location but just enough to respond. *Here.* The send protected. Walled off from her thoughts and feelings.

ChosenSavith: The response pulled Savith up short, head swiveling as he tried to pin point her location. Unable to, he sent again, **Where? You are needed.**

Autumns joy: *For what?* The send coming from another direction now. She was moving. She didn't want to be found and knew how to keep from being so from most.

ChosenSavith: Savith turned in the direction of the send, but held his position. **Starsong and Blaze have made a successful hunt, and we are gathering for a feast. Along with creating usefuls, your presence is sought.**

Autumns joy: *Usefuls?* Still another direction. Still her mind closed off.

ChosenSavith: Savith turned, a frown starting to settle on his face. **Utensils, platters, a jar for water and the like. Things that only one gifted as yourself can create within a day,** he replied, the annoyance chilling his words.

Autumns joy: The sigh came through loud and clear. It was hard to tell what sifted out with it. Something more. Just the slightest hint of something bigger in her mind at the moment then his request. *So if I had no such skill then your one elf search party wouldn't be here at the moment would it?* Was she slowing down or did she stop moving? Whatever it was the send seemed less distant.

ChosenSavith: Savith focused in on the send, but stayed still. he would move when he was certain. Hovering, he replied, **I said along with. I would still search for you. It is the elf I seek. Your gifts are an added bonus.**

Autumns joy: *Have you found an elf? Do you know? If you do know then tell me how you know because I would like to know as well how to find the elf.* A bit more coming through again. She was getting herself worked up and so her defences in her mind suffered some for it. Confusion streaked the send. It seemed to be the way of her mind. To forever be torn in two directions.

ChosenSavith: Savith frowned again, mind still waiting for that moment when direct becomes clear. **What in Voll's Name are you going on about,** he demanded finally as her confusion added to his own growing confusion.

Autumns joy: The send felt defeated. Almost like a child who had been lost for some time from its parents and had given up hope of seeing them again. *What am I? Do you know? If you do can you tell me?* She pulled her mind away from his. Yes it was in the same place again he could be sure this time.

ChosenSavith: Finally. With a location sorted out, the glider pushed forward, rushing toward her as his mind replied. **Surely you must know your own soulname,** he started.

Autumns joy: *My soul name?* Was it more of a question then an answer? Yes he could be sure. She knew what they were but had never heard anything inside her that seemed a clear answer to who she was. She forever sat on a forked road. One side the wolf one side the elf. One day she would travel one road but seemed to always be pulled kicking and fighting back to the other side. When he found her she stood in a stream. Reaching into the water now and then pulling up river rocks and making things and tossing them to the bank. The ends of her hair wet as were her leathers from the water. She worked slowly to pace herself and took care to make things smooth so no cut lips and such would be from her things.

ChosenSavith: Savith flew in from behind her, and stopped, hovering in midair, to study her. He dropped slowly and settled tot he grass with but the faintest of rustles. **Yes. The name that all that you are. Wolf. Elf. Shaper. Hunter. The Way and The Stars, all in one,** came his reply, a reserved hesitation to it.

Autumns joy: *I guess I don't.* When she tossed a platter to the bank she glanced over a shoulder at him. The green eyes sharp through the red hair that clung to her face. *Tell me when it is enough* was what came next then she set back to her work.

ChosenSavith: **Peyote would have to answer that question,** replied the glider. **She's the hostess. Come. I shall fly us back.**

Autumns joy: *I want to be alone...... If I wanted to go back now I would be there wouldn't I?* Her tone was not joyful but not as agitated as a few moments ago. She made sure to take slow calming breaths as she was taught to do when she was young should her emotions become to overwhelming. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't.

ChosenSavith: **None should be completely alone. It makes the rest worry, since there are so few of us.**

Autumns joy: *I don't......* Her own mind wouldn't let her finish that thought so she changed it. *I..... I don't want to go back yet.* Her head cocked to one side as if it might be resting on her shoulder. She tossed a fork to the bank and sighed softly.

ChosenSavith: Savith nods and pulls himself up to sit, reclined on a bit of wind. **I'll wait for you, then,** he replied matter of factly.

Autumns joy: She let him do as he wished. For long moments she was silent. The only sound was the thunk thunk of something hitting the ground or another object she made already.

ChosenSavith: Savith is patient, and well trained in sitting idle but alert for long periods of time. And so, there he floated, eyes idly scanning the forest at the edge of the clearing.

Autumns joy: In time she wadded her way to the bank herself for a rest. She laid back and closed her eyes. Seeing Savith sitting in the air was a bit of a sight to her and part of the reason she closed her eyes. So she didn't stare. Still her face might show she wasn't happy as she looked like he did on a good day. With a scowl to make Dancer or Dew pester and ask what was wrong till his head hurt.

ChosenSavith: Noting the expression, Savith quirked a brow, but did not press the matter. Instead, as she laid back, the glider straightened and collected all the items with a thought.

Autumns joy: As she lie there her mind chattered away to herself. The soul name question wanting the most attention. Her head lost in a jumble of thought. She huffed. Thinking to much was elf like and she had that down. An eye slipped open seeing Savith still waiting. *You can leave if you like. I will come when I am ready. You don't need to miss anything because of me.* She knew his answer though before he even said it. He would stay. She was sure of it. He indeed was the right choice for leader. He seemed to tend to everyone as best as he could from what little she saw.

ChosenSavith: **I am missing little,** replied the Chosen, taking his time in collecting the shaped goods. **And still have my offer of transport open to you.**

Autumns joy: He must not know yet what happened with Dew. She was sure he would have scolded her if he did. After all he was worried about the silly flower headed Pey and her senseabilities. What would he say over this? What would the others say? She didn't really care about that as much as how they would say it and how it would make her react. Autumn could take it no longer and sat up. *I must tell you something as My Chief.* Her tone serious now. She wanted whatever he would do or say to come and be over with.

ChosenSavith: Savith lifted his gaze from his task. **Certainly,** his mind replied with a calm sense of responsibility. He settled his gaze on her, though never allows eyes to meet, as he listened, his very mind open to receive.

Autumns joy: And so she dumps it on him. With words and images of what happened in the woods with the young wolfrider. How she tried to retreat but Dew followed. How she asked her to stop but the youth would not. How she begged the cub to submit and speak no more on these things with her and she would not heed till the cubs mind was struck and she went down.

ChosenSavith: Savith tilted his head as he took in the report. His face remains impassive until it is all said and done, and still he remains silent, though he turns his gaze from her to consider. He finishes collecting the items before asking softly, **Are you remorseful over possibly hurting her or standing your ground against her?**

Autumns joy: *Hurting her. I don't want to hurt anyone. Not over a foolish argument.* She looked to the ground. *Others will not understand. I know I needed to show the cub I was not her Alpha but I did out rank her and she was to do as I said.* She shook her head a bit. *But I am sure there was a better way. I should have remained calm and tried to explain myself better I suppose.* She was trying to think of ways a true elf would have handled the situation. She knew he or his Mother would never have attacked Dew in such a manor.

ChosenSavith: **Perhaps, or perhaps it worked just as well as it should have. Dewpaw, after all, is not a full-blooded elf. She is a wolfrider, and the hierarchy of Pack sings in her veins,** Savith replies.

Autumns joy: *She does not accept my thinking and that is fine but I cannot have her attacking me over what I believe because she dislikes hearing it. I... I would like to find a way to explain it better to her maybe. Or maybe she is just to young and the wolf in her runs free. I am conflicted. She embraces everything I was taught to put aside. To try to lay to rest.* She was glad he seemed to be so understanding and Savith could feel that. He could feel that burden lifting from her.

ChosenSavith: **That is who she is. If you are her elder, her better, you would let her think as she will and leave it at that,** he sent. **There was a time, when I would have been order and would have sought to curtail any such acceptance, but we won't survive if we seek to shape ourselves in. Let her run free. Let her dislike hearing what you believe. If she asks again, remind her she didn't like it and you rather it not be a source of contention. If she wants to hear, then make sure she knows she is to listen without judging.**

Autumns joy: Ah now she smiled. It was small but still a true smile. *Thank you* She then stood and walked over to where he was and took some of the things. She still worried about what the others would do and what she would do in return but for now she was glad. *Let me hold some of these things if you must take me in the air with you.* Flying once when ones life is about to end is a far cry from doing it because you can. He could feel she was nervous but willing to trust him.

ChosenSavith: Savith nodded, allowing the shaper to take some items from his grasp. **But by the same token, you are not to judge her for her ways either. If we all are going to survive this, and learn to live together, we're going to do so with the understanding that regardless, we are all still elves.**

Autumns joy: She nodded and closed her eyes tightly. *Ok, I'll go back now.*

ChosenSavith: Savith nodded again and reached out to collect the smaller elfess into his arms. Looking up, his body tensed and then up they went. He moved without any real speed or urgency.

Autumns joy: As they lifted she clutched his arm but didn't fidget. High Ones no he might drop her or something. She was as still as the stone she shaped.

ChosenSavith: Savith flew easily toward the Feasting Stone Peyote had spotted, moving slowly.

(Now this is over and they move back to the beach.)

Being with this new group of mismatched elves Autumn had come in contact with nearly everyone. She took note that the only other Wolfrider besides her and Dew had yet to be greeted. Taking time Autumn made a basket of various arrow heads to give to StarSong for her hunts. This one Autumn knew fully embraced her wolf just as the cub had done. It was hard to understand. Letting her mind reach out she called openly for Starsong. *Huntress are you here in the forest this eve? I have something I would like you to have.* She cupped some water in her hand for a drink while she waited. Letting her senses fill and become sharp.

Starsong was hunting around the brush for appropriate sticks to make into arrow shafts. She was rustling around in some dogwood shrubs when she heard the send. Slightly curious and, at the same time, not interested she poked her head out from the brush and watched the other take a drink at the stream.

She watched her for a while, deciding weather to just walk away or to see what the other had for her. She didn't expect it to be anything of value, as nobody ever gave her anything.

Finally deciding to just get it over with instead of having this pop up again in some future time, she exited the brush with a few sticks she had selected gripped in her hand.

**I am here** is all she said, devoid of emotion, as did the expression on her face reflect.

Turning her head Autumn smiled a bit. *Good hunting this eve I hope.* Then she stood, picking up the basket and tucking it under her arm. *I have made you something that will hopefuly make you hunts a bit easier.* Lifting the basket to her Star could see it was filled with various types of arrow heads. Some had nasty barbs on them to cause damage, some so thin and sleek they would slip easily through even the toughest hide and others for everyday hunting. *I hope you find these useful as you never want or need from the many who want and need from you.*

She gave a small nod in the direction of the other as she looked around, wearily making sure they were indeed alone. She watched as the other as she picked up a basket and tilted the basket towards her. She could see it was indeed, full of arrowheads.

Her eyes flicked up to Autumns, and narrowed. She wondered what kind of trick this was. Nobody ever gave her things, she always made her own.. was she insinuating that hers were no good. Her eyes traveled between the basket and the other elves a number of times as she thought to herself.

A mixture of emotions, mostly negitive, but a few surprised and touched ones filtered in there every so often. She continued to stand there, not moving towards or away from the other elf as she continued to ponder the situation. **Why?** she asked, the question more than one in its asking.

*Why not?* She placed the basket on the ground before Star. *I know you are a skilled hunter and you time is better spent gathering as much meat as we can pack away for the white sleep rather then wasting your skill on arrow heads.* Autumn had no stance of aggression, no threat hidden in her tone and a send always rang true. *This is my skill. How I helped my pack. Arrow heads are only a heartbeat to make. If you wanted a good dagger or knife I could do that as well.* Autumn also held no fear of this feral elfess either. If anything she was more curious then before.
PostPosted: Fri Mar 13, 2009 12:53 pm

She watched as the basket was placed before her and looked into it hesitantly, as if it contained venomous snakes. She listened to what Autumn had to say. And even though everything about the young elf seemed calm, Star was still hesitant and on edge. Then again, most things lately seemed to set her on edge, the forest always beckoned and it was hard to fight the urge to wander out in it for days on end.

Finally she bent down and picked up the basket, scrutinizing the arrowheads carefully as she picked a few up and tested them for strength and sharpness.

After she had examined several of the pieces, she relaxed a little bit as clear emerald eyes looked over the other elf for a moment before she sent **Thank you**. A send that was succinct and filled with no emotion what so ever.

Thinking that they were done here, she started to walk back slowly, she never turned her back on someone she didn't know. A dagger might end up back there if she did.

Autumn watched Star closely. The head tilted to the side in curiosity. Her eyes blinked only once as she gazed at her. She let the huntress do as she wished. Still she would have liked to know more of her. Autumn always felt torn between the wolf and the elf. She wondered if this one just felt the wolf anymore. It would seem that way to her. Then troubled look washed over her face and she took a step back as well. *You're welcome.* was all she sent.
