Akemi eyed Xai, while her focus was still on the fairy. She hadn't tried breaking the egg open, had she? 'No.' He came to a quick conclusion. She would be too paranoid to hurt the baby inside. Plus, the hatchling look very healthy.
Akemi was surprised that Rampel hadn't made his way out of the eggshell yet. It must be comfortable in there.
Akemi pondered over the Fairy's speculation. In his opinion, it was most likely the recessive gene, but then what were the odds that two painters carrying the gene, himself and Xai, reproduce? 'Not great. But then I truly doubt that a Elemental blessed our batch. We've done nothing but cause a ruckus since they were born.'

Akemi smiled, seeing that Xai had calmed down. Now he could relax a little bit more.

"Be sure to talk to him, and the others while they are in the eggs -- They'll learn language quicker that way and should be talking within days.. Try to avoid baby talk. Use real words, they'll be better off for it."

The fairy stretched, yawning, "Anyway, he should be ready to leave in a day or two. Despite breaking his shell, if he's early he likely still has a bit of yolk left and wont leave he's safe but hungry. So keep down with the arguments -- with the egg broken he wouldnt be able to go into stasis and wait out for safety, and little is more dangerous then angry painters."

xai vaguely twitches at his directions. She was having troubles ok, she's trying. She kinda pouts at that but murmurs "ya, i'll try." She still curls protectively around the eggs and gases at them in awe "Thank you, umm.... whoever you are." she says vaguely formally.

Akemi sighed in relief. Now Xai would have a important reason not to freak out on him infront of their children. He had to admit, the Fairy was being very helpful. Akemi laid down next to Xai. It had been a long day today and he was getting tired. Resisting the uge to yawn, Akemi spoke "Thank you for all of your help and information." Scooting closer to Xai, Akemi rested his head against two of the eggs.

"Kitxoone -- I'm one of the Elders..." he stood, smirking slightly, "And its not a problem. Its been a while since Sandpainters have bred, and even longer since a P'an Lun had a clutch this large."

Winking at the partially hatched egg, he took to the air with a buzz, "Also, you might want to think about fixing this hole -- Wouldnt want it to rain in your bedroom." Laughing, the fairy looped up before vanishing down the distant mountain lip.

xai watches with suspicion but smiles at him. "Good bye then!" She turns to Akemi "An elder aye, I haven't heard of them but I guess we are lucky and unique." she says smiling widely. She looks at the hole then and says "You're fixing that." she says flatly.

Akemi watched as Kitxoone flew off into the afternoon sky. It was nice of the Elder to go out of his way to help himself and Xai.
Once the Fairy flew out of sight, Akemi started to eye the large gap in the wall. Somehow, Akemi knew that he'd probably be the one to fix it.
Yawning, Akemi scooted himself closer to Xai, who was still wrapped tightly around their eggs, and closed his eyes. He drifted off to sleep peacefully.

xai smiles at Akemi and the eggs. "I can't wait for you all you to come out and meet us, your parents." We will love you endlessly and I will try not to freak out as much. So please come out." she vaguely pleads with them, but ends up falling asleep on them

The morning after, Akemi woke up slowly to the peaceful sound of birds chirping outside of the rooms... hole. He let out a loud yawn, and flipped over onto his back to stretch his body out. Groaning, when he felt his joints pop, Akemi opened his eyes to the bright morning sun.
Through the hole, he could tell that it was still early morning. When he breathed in, he could taste the dew from the morning's fog. Akemi rolled over to look around him. Akemi chuckled when he found Xai laying on her side around their eggs, with her mouth wide open. A small shiny line of drool was dribbling down from on side of her mouth.
'I wonder if I should wake her up? For some reason, I don't think that she'd like that...' Akemi inched closer to Xai, poking her gently in the side with one of his claws.

xai snorts awake as Akemi pokes her and almost chokes on her drool. She snaps up and almost yells as she wipes the drool of her face but shuts her trap after glancing at the eggs. She squints at the hole "Its to bright. You do know you're fixing that right? The sooner the better really. For now though I am taking the eggs somewhere safer" she nudges a couple pillows around until she finds a couple of little individual sacks. She nudges a egg into a sack and then drapes them across her back each one balancing the other out, except for the cracked done she puts in a clawed hand then sits on her hind legs to tell Akemi where they are. She gives a long set of instructions before turning down the hallway on the right, going through the kitchen to the second beaded door on the left. (Her instructions lead him around for about half an hour. This is her 'fun') This is also her work room which is humongous and one half is filled with cages of worms and the other half is a work 'area' and hunks of silk, and jade strewn around.

@.@ sorry it so long

Akuma agreed that the eggs shouldn't be in an open, unprotected room such as this. 'Not that it's totally unprotected. Xai would gladly take any creature's head for even daring to walts into our nest,' Akemi looked over the damage that he caused. The hole wasn't too big, just big enough for him to be able to glide through without touching the sides.
"How should I fix this...?" Akemi asked himself. He coul melt it, being able to bend and control some fire. He wasn't a earth dragon, so he couldn't just patch it up with mud. Akemi sighed. He'd just have to do this the old fashion way.
Akemi thought about telling Xai that he was about to leave to find supplies but changed his mind once he remembered her directions.
'Without Fenris, I would have spent hours lost in this mansion. And this hole needs to be fixed before sunset. I don't have time to get lost right now.' With that thought, Akemi set off into the sky to find an old friend of his.

xai sighs and gets to work. She is royalty but she still had a job. She starts spinning some of the threads from the silk works and attaches it the loom with her tail and three hands. She creates some of the finest silk in the land. But her predecessor still is the best that is why her eggs lay in that silk only. After a couple hunks where being strewned out she decided to dye it. She needed more roots for it. She needs someone to watch over the eggs though. Numo is MIA, so she risks and quickly jogs over to the main room. Akemi is gone too. She runs back and is having a fit but is stopped with a sound. A cracking sound. She says," Akemi?" she then panics, "AKEMI!!!!????"

Suko laid out in the bright, warm afternoon sun. His thick, large stomach rising and falling with every breath he'd take. His pink eyes were closed, and to any passing creature, it would seem as though he was asleep.
But with the way his ears would twitch and rotate when a bird would chirp, or when the wind would make the trees break, Akemi knew better.
As Akemi looked down at his Furry friend from a large boulder, he could easily tell that Suko was not napping, and he probably knew that he wasn't alone. "Are you always this quiet, friend? Speak up. Tell the old familiar what you need,"
Akemi snorted when Suko called himself old. That was an understatement. Suko was Akemi's father's first, and only, familiar. Suko was ancient compared to most other familiars. Akemi's father, Braizen, had adopted Suko into his life before he had even met Akemi's mother. Braizen had lived for over 300 years, and had died 59 years after Akemi had been born. Akemi's mother had followed soon after. Unlike most Painter's parents, Akemi's mother and father were both life mated to each other. So when Braizen had died, Sunta's heart and Soul died with him. Two short weeks later, Sunta's body gave up and she was finally reunited with her mate in the afterlife.
After his master's death, Suko traveled around abit, keeping an eye on Akemi from time to time. Twenty years ago, Suko had finally settled down and took up the occupation of making random supplies.
So, Akemi could easily get the patching mud from Suko. It wouldn't even cost his a coin.
"Ahem," Suko cleared his throat, his pink eyes now open and focused on Akemi.
Akemi blushed, "Excuse me, Suko. But I came to ask a favor. I'm in dire need of rice paper and patching mud. Could you supply me with some?"
Suko grinned, showing off his chipped, yellowing teeth "Ah! Are you finally patching up that old rotting shack of yours? Or are you building a new place to stay? Come on! Tell me boy, I don't have all day. I need to know how much you need." Suko rose from his laying position, his joints cracking with every stressed motion.
Akemi rolled his eyes at Suko's impatience. "I only need enough to fill a medium sized hole. And could you get them as soon as possible? Xai is probably-" Suko interrupted Akemi midspeach. "Xai!? Is that a girls name I hear? Akemi, you old boy! You aren't getting together with a lady, are you?"
Akemi could feels his face go red at Suko's blunt talk. He always was quick to the point...
"I'm currently living with Xai." Akemi paused, "I'm going to be living with her for awhile too. She-....She was pregnant with my children not even a few weeks ago. We're planning on raising the children together. The eggs are beautiful! You should stop by soon and visit with us."
Suko was rendered speechless. His pink eyes were wide in surprise. "You? You're having children?! Why Akemi, you sly dog, you. So how'd you meet this young lady?"
Akemi shook his head, eyeing the mid sky sun. "Can we talk some other time, Suko? I need to be getting back soon. And then I still have to patch up that hole."
Suko nodded his head in understanding. "Ok, but you owe me a long conversation."
Suko walked off in a random direction, leaving Akemi alone in the clearing. A few minutes later, he came back carrying a large brown sack. Akemi was surprised that Suko was still strong enough to be able to drag it.
"Oh don't give me that look," Suko said "I still have some fight left in these bones."
Akemi sighed. "True. But you're going to have to join Braizen some day? I'm sure that he's missing you." Suko snorted.
"Nah. I'm sure that Braiz is enjoying himself, where ever he is."
Akemi nodded and looked off towards the sky's.
"I suppose that I should get going. I didn't tell Xai that I was leaving, so she's probably worrying about me." Akemi grasped the bag with his mouth and crouched down low to the ground, getting ready to take off.
"I'll be seeing you, old friend." Akemi mumbled, before taking off into the sky.

xai looks panicked at the sky and yells one more time her voice breaking before she gets to the task at hand. She looks over to the silk pillows and all of the eggs where cracked now and Rampel had burst out. She croons at Rampel excited at his appearance but still basically REALLY baffled. She nuzzles him and licks the slime off of him. Its really salty, she comments to herself. She eyes the other eggs rocking and cracking more minutely by the second. A watched egg doesn't hatch so she goes back to talking to Rampel. "Hello Rampel, welcome to this world. I am your mother xai." She glances over and almost gets a eggshell in the eye, the twins burst out together exploding their shells all over xai. She moves to clean off the twins while pondering Rampels curious 'fin' and the fairies visit. In between licking xai comments," You are a girl and a boy aren't you. well you my girl will be Ying-su and you my calm boy shall be Su-yang. Take care of each other and love each other. That is Rampel your brother and I am xai your mother." she glances over at the bamboo egg and the swirl egg. The bamboo is open but the baby hasn't come out. The swirled one is still struggling. She nudges the open egg and little pointy hands grab her nose. xai almost squeaks in suprise but suppresses sit and she carefully drags her put of the shell and licks her all over trying to wake her up, or liven her, or something! "Stay awake my baby Mu-lin, my gorgeous Mu-lin. You have people to meet. I am you mom and you have brothers and sisters to meet." She vaguely panicking still hoping Akemi will get here sooonnn.
