I prefer to think of it as 'additional character development.'

And I won't EVER pair up a couple of people I deem incompatible...

Hahahaha! I've never heard it termed -that- way. I like that. Additional character development. Nice.

I once went on fanfiction.net to look up Chrono Trigger fanfiction, quite a while ago... and one of the first entries I saw was something that paired up Magus and Flea. I backpedled outta there as fast as I could.

All this talk of fanfiction has gotten me into the mood to write now. *ponders*

Magus and Flea? Ergh, no, that doesn't sit with me. I can't think of ANYONE who could properly go with Flea... mainly because I can't decide on the gender. Besides, he can't have a lasting relationship with Flea - doesn't spend enough time with... it. Lucca works much better!

That and we all know that Flea works best when paired with Ozzy, right?

hiya, you have really beautiful work, but the real reason I'm here is that I wanted to ask you a question. I saw you'r tutorial on armor and I saw the pics of you and I was wondering what you were doing? Is it a game like Belegarth or Dagarhir? or the Foam Fighting league that people sometimes refer it to? just cuuuurrrioussss....

Actually, I'm part of the SCA, or Society for Creative Anachronism. It's a more serious of a reeanctment group - everyone is in period garb and the fighting is a lot more dangerous. We don't use foam or anything - we use rattan, which is like thick and strong bamboo. Armor is required as even with the armor, you can get some really nasty bruises and welts. You have to sign a waiver to participate and get authorized to fight in tourneys and melees. We also have arts and sciences stuff for those not interested in fighting - garb making, cooking, brewing, illuminations, etc, and rapier fighting, archery, seige engines, etc. (the ballistas are nasty in melee combat)

Me? Battle-hardened? Heh, not really. To be completely honest, I still get freaked out. I usually start sobbing about twenty minutes after a fight - altough the times I don't are becoming more frequent, thankfully. And I mean sobbing - complete uncontrollable crying. We've all gotten used to it but it still freaks out the other fighters at events outside of the people who know me and know I cry. Thankfully, the other fighters in our group will explain that it's just something I do and to give me some space to get the tears out...

Hahahha! That's a good idea. I talked to Duchess Elena once - she's a very good female fighter, a real inspiration and role model for me - and she said that she doesn't cry, but laughs uncontrollably as her reaction from fighting. And this is during fights too - freaks people out to no end.

It's actually quite common for female fighters to laugh or cry during or after fighting.
