"'Toys?' 'Taste good?' Oh my... Mine friends are not for eating!" Aponi's shocked look gave way to laughter, one of the butterflies landing on her right antler, its wings moving slowly. "Oh dear... Thou art joking, surely?"
Dyani was inching closer, curiosity and amusement winning out over her awkwardness. "I'm pretty sure they're not kidding, Aponi." She looked quite entertained by all this, actually, and her tail swished behind her as she rejoined the group, her own little familiar bobbing about her head.

Surprised, Chesh stopped chasing after the elusive flying insects and pawed at the gift back, attempting to reveal its contents.

 "Why?" The word felt harsh on her tongue, though she knew that it had come out gentle and quiet. "I told you back then that you were worth something, that no one deserved to be left behind." The words she had spoken once before echoed in her head, as if she had said them only yesterday. "I meant that, Tanzaku. You helped me when I was in trouble, and for that I decided I wouldn't, couldn't give up on you. Even if I never saw you again, I knew that I had to hope you would find some way to be happy."
A frown had replaced the look on her face, tail twisting itself into knots behind her. "I wanted to go back, I did. I wanted to find you and take you with me. It killed me to see you so unhappy, even though I barely knew you." Her head craned to the side, desperate for him to brighten up a little.

Kayin nodded in amused agreement. This girl was really fitting his style and he was loving it. Stretching a bit, he flicked his dark goat's tail and repositioned so he could see her... er.. the stars better. He looked up, noting the first sparkling lights at the edges where the sunset faded to purple.
Looking back at Vienna, Kayin was certainly charmed by her smile. Everything about her seemed to be charming him tonight, he chided himself inwardly.
"Yeah I know, all we need is a whole pack of Gwens strutting about. " He rolled his eyes a bit at the sarcastic comment. Speaking of the demon he lived with prompted hi next train of thought.
"So, you sound like you speak from experience too... does your human have other demon bonds?" He asked with a slightly mischievous glint to his eyes, curious if any of said bonds may be her bond as well.

 At that, Tanzaku crumpled inside. His heart, and the weight it had carried since he believed he was alone in the world, since he believed he should be alone- everything pressed in from all sides, and then there was just this girl. There was just Belle, and he didn't seem to mind anymore, if he was living in a world with only them two in it.
For her, he smiled, he laughed. He shuffled forward in the sand until their foreheads touched, he stared into her eyes for the longest time. The waves that hit the beach seemed so powerful, like they could sweep them away in an instant, and maybe, just maybe... he didn't mind.
He quirked a smile, tried to tell her without saying it aloud: thank you, thank you, thank you.
"Do you know me now, Belle?"

 Vienna's eyes, too, looked to the horizon, dark orbs glinting in the fading light as she watched the first stars blink into existence. She caught his gaze at the corner of her eye, prompting a soft grin at the corners of her maw. She wasn't the only one looking, at least; the thought made her want to giggle, but she suppressed the noise the best that she could.
"Others? Yeah, a whole slew of them too." she rolled her eyes, before laughing. "I'm sure you know of Beau and Captain- their entire family is in the house. There's quite a few others, too, but none of them really know just how to... chill out. Everyone's got some agenda, they're always bolting around the place." A soft snort came from her nose. "No one worth talking to, at least. They're just too high-strung."

Belle crooned softly as her forehead met his, eyes closing in contentment. Her tail stopped its wringing motion and gently curved around, fur gracing his paws in the wet sand. Even if he didn't say it, he could hear a dozen thank yous in her head; her heart skipped a beat knowing that even for now, he was satisfied.
"Do I?" The question hung in the air for a moment, a grin curving at the corners of her mouth. "Well, perhaps not as well as I'd like, but better than I used to, yeah?" She giggled softly, wriggling on the spot where she stood.

[I don't know if anyone replied to Ilinea... things have been... crazy around here irl.. so I'm just going to write another post.]
Ilinea mused slightly at all the commotion going on around her. Scooting herself up to a blanket, she laid down with her head between her paws. Why had she come here in the first place? Everyone seemed so happy, mingling with new winis... making friends... why couldn't she be like that? Marek wanted her to be like that, didn't he? Shaking her head side to side, No.. Marek wanted her to be happy and he thought that pushing her out on these social events would make her happy. She wasn't sure why he thought that, but it was true... wasn't it?
Swiveling her red and blue orbs around the place, she tried to look for anyone she recognized. It wouldn't be long, would it? Shoving herself up onto her feet, she began to slowly walk around. There had to be something to do around here.

Tanzaku's grin widened and he pulled back, tilting his head, admiring her. She was stunning in any light, and though they had met near midnight she was striking as always in the light of the fading day. She had the elegant sparkle he could not place on anyone else, and it made him giddy and tripping over his own feet with the thought that they had met again, after all.
He blinked at her question, the way she repeated it so sweetly.
Everything about her was so sweet, her voice, her body, the way she never stopped caring, even for someone like him... he looked down, then to the sea, the waves breaking over each other with a guiltless passion. There was a silence before he responded, and he wondered if she saw the sentiment in his eyes.
"Do we have time now? Do we have time so that, every day after today, whenever you think of me or I think of you, it will only be a matter of time before we are together again?" he whispered softly, flicking his tail behind him. "Do you think that maybe things will work out this time?"

((Stitches is free I'll toss him at Ilinea.))  Stitiches saw an adult that looked sorta interesting. Maybe not as interesting as himself, but hey who really was? He walked over to her and sat down. As he wiped away the food crumbs he nodded. "I'm Stitiches." "Oh, well no...but if they are you friends then I guess we shouldn't eat them. I have tasted Monarch, she's not that great tasteing. I like this food more. Have you tried it yet?" The kitty rambled a little, but that made sense for so much energy being in a little body.

Ozzy stared at the flutteries and then nodded, "Yeah, a joke." He looked at the two winis now and smiled happily. "My toy doesn't like being cheweed on, but he flies pretty fast." Ozzy's tail swished faster when he saw Dyani's tail swish.

[Thanks!]  Ilinea felt herself hop step at the sudden voice that broke into her thoughts. Twisting her head around, she couldn't help but feel the adrenaline begin to die down in her chest. She finally managed a rough smile, trying to be as eloquent as possible while lowering herself into a graceful bow. "Um, hello.. My name is Ilinea." Her voice was quiet when addressing the larger wini. His height reminded her of her father and around him she couldn't help but feel a little inadequate. Never the less, she tried her best to be as presentable as possible, just as she was taught.

 Whisper stopped at the edge of the gathering. 'Finally,' she thought. She'd heard there was a party, but it'd taken her forever to find the darn thing. She smelled the food and wandered in amongst the others milling around. Coming across a blanket with muffins, she stopped and grabbed one. She wolfed it down and grabbed another. With half the muffin hanging out of her mouth, she stopped to look around.

Aponi chuckled softly, lying down so that she was on a more even level with the 'little' adults. "Indeed, the sustenance found on yonder tables tastes much better than mine friends would, I imagine. Of course, that requires that the others leave some for us!" She joked, having watched all the food nabbing that had gone on. Still, there was plenty left for all. "Shall we partake of the spread?"
Dyani was adjusting slowly to even this small number of other Winis...however, the mention of food definitely caught her attention. Perking up, she grinned. "Food sounds great! Hey, what all do they have over there anyway?" She was talking over her shoulder, already heading for the food tables.
Aponi only shook her head with amusement, a small knowing smile on her face as she stood to follow after.

Whisper saw a dark wini and pale green wini greeting each other like they'd just met. Maybe she should say hello too. She wasn't going to have anyone to play with unless she made some friends. Whisper licked the last of the muffin crumbs off her mouth. She made her way towards the pair, trying not to appear obvious about where she was going.

Before Whisper reached the two winis, she saw little sparks of light flashing around her head. Trying to catch the sparkles, she meandered off in another direction through the socializing winis.
