You know you write fantasy if you.... Stay completely calm during a zombie horror movie, thinking the entire time, 'No, they're not doing it right! Don't use the windows! Break the walls! or use the door!' or something of the like. Have the ability to bore people to death by trying to explain one small, insignificant detail that won't matter two pages later in your book.

You know you write fantasy when...
...You've got twelve story ideas swimming through your head, but only manage to write down the first chapter before moving on to the next.
thats the truth.

You know you write fantasy when...
You've built an entire world from scratch and are begging people to draw the map.
You've written out your main characters entire life time line, but aren't going to use half of it.

You know you write fantasy when...
All you could think about is how life would be as a fantasy world.

You know you write fantasy when:
-you've taken the time to make scale models of mythic creatures like gryphons, hippogriffs, chimera and dragons just to see what they would look like.
-when you've done the physics calculations to determine who the most likely winner of a fight between a cerberus and a chimera would be.
-when you've spent more than six months researching elves and fae and sidhe and other such nimble magical forest dwellers trying to pick the perfect "species" for your story, only to end up using several just because one is never enough.
-you repeated the above process for Dwarves, Brownies, Pixies, Faeries/Fairies and Hellhounds.
