Eclipse sighed as Mikayl recounted the story, backed up by mental images from Verita. The storm of a few days ago had been fierce, and Eclipse did not blame them for taking shelter. In the meantime though, Edoc'sil had struggled to feed itself. There had been only three members left.
Rosemary had decided that it was best to settle back on an older system of the clan's, where every member hunted for themselves. Ilia was not very happy about this, but she had been living off the work of the clan for ages, and hasn't really contributed anything back. It'll do her some good, to hunt for herself. Eclipse had opened up a small tunnel down into the Underdark for Ilia for that purpose.
I'm glad that Cyclone is safe. Eclipse eventually answered, and padded up to Verita to check on the hatchling. He towered over the much smaller lunar, and was easily able to see Cyclone.
Verita then opened up her mind a bit further to Eclipse, and nudged Mikayl through their bond to get his attention as well. She explained to both of them how she won't be staying in the den, except for maybe a few nights at a time. The wilderness suit her better. She will bring any larger prey she takes down to share with Edoc'sil and will help take part in hunting trips, but the rest of the time she would prefer to be by herself...by herself, except for Mikayl perhaps.
She will be close to Edoc'sil and Mikayl's den, and should not be very hard to find if either needs her.
Eclipse nodded, not going to argue anything. He then peered at Cyclone, sensing the bond between the hatchling and Vera. The little one seemed to be sensing what was going on, for she hissed at Eclipse and hid her face in Verita's fur.
At this point, I don't believe I can ask for Cy to stay at Edoc'sil. She has bonded to you tightly it seems. Please take good care of her. Eclipse told Vera, and Cyclone trumpeted in agreement.
"Flygon!"
Verita then turned to Mikayl, happy with the arrangement. She now requested to go meet Mikayl's clan.

Mikayl paused for a second there.
Just how was he going to explain this to his clan without Ari going insane on him? He didn't exactly want to leave Verita the impression that his bonded was crazy.
Mikayl could easily predict his clanmates' reactions. Ari would be delighted, and would want to know when she could expect grandkyns, as she seemed to dub it. June would no doubt be happy for him, and he had yet to figure out Cory, seeing as the gargoyle hung around June all the time.
Of course, he answered easily, having no image for her this time. He didn't exactly make mind maps of how to get to Aezhenn from Edoc'sil for fun. Just follow me and we'll be there in no time!
---
Cory kept a steady eye on the flame as he called on his fire magic to help control it. He had been hit with a bolt of inspiration after he'd seen Juniper and Ari's little underground garden, and had hurtled back to his room to play on it and see what he could make.
Right now, he was trying to tease the fire into the shape of a flaming rose. Once, the fire would have been unbending to his will and magic, but now, Cory was more attuned to it, and it moved easily.
His guard went up when he caught a flash of blue outside in the halls. As far as he knew, his new clan didn't have any kyn who were any shade of blue in colouring. Standing up, Cory wandered into the halls carefully, but relaxed when he saw the white fur of his blind clanmate.
Mikayl, you're finally back, he called out, halting both Lunars. He went over to them with a smile. You should go see Juniper and Ari. They were worried sick about you, you know.
I'm on my way now, the other male said in reply. You come, too. I've got something to tell everyone.
Sure, Cory smiled brightly as he followed the two Lunars down the halls, towards where Ari and Juniper's rooms were. They were interconnected, leading to the garden, so nobody could get to the garden without going through their rooms.
As soon as they entered the gardens, Mikayl was assaulted by Ari, who threw her arms around him.
"You're safe!" she cried in relief. June went up to the blind Lunar and licked him on the face before giving him a slightly scolding look. It was quite entertaining, since Mikayl was the older of the two. "You furball, you should've told us you were going away! Did you KNOW how worried I was?! And who's this?"
This is Verita, Mikayl wriggled out of his rider's grip and stood beside the female Lunar. Cory tilted his head curiously as he saw the blind Lunar's eyes soften slightly at the mention of this Verita. Interesting. She's my... my mate.
Mikayl winced at the following explosions from both June and Ari, and quickly turned to Verita. They're not always like this, he said quickly, through their own bond. Really.
(Too... long... gonk )
