Dhee paused, wondering how much fun he could make of Jeane before she tried to bash his brains in. "Babies are made by special magic." He said, trying to be delicate. "And if a lady is drunk, the magic works more. And, uh, no. Jeane doesn't get drunk." He opened his mouth to further elaborate, but Jeane smacked him in the back of the head. "Any other questions, ask your mother." He finished, somewhat lamley.
Conan blinked, and after decoding what Kiri had said in a rush, smiled big. "Sure! I'd love to go with you!" He said, probably a bit louder than he should. That signaled Chaya to start squealing, at the top of her lungs:
"KIRI and CONAN, SITTIN' IN A TREE, K-I-S-"
"Chaya!" Conan howled, voice cracking. Rene came back down the stairs, taking Conan's howl to be an invitation to attack the other angel, and chased her from the room.

"I think - " Aimee gasped, wiped futilely at her eyes, then managed, "I think that's something that'll have to wait until Mommy isn't so embarrassed, sweetie."
Rin paused for a few more seconds, looking very confused, and finally nodded slowly. You could almost SEE her fitting the bits and pieces of this conversation into her world-view, scary as that might be. "So ask Mommy to get drunk and do magic with Flint. But I thought if you were drunk, magic didn't work right." She frowned, tugging at Jeane's sleeve. "Auntie Jeane, I don't get it."
"Little pain in the butt." Mirelle trotted after the pair of angels, rolling her eyes. Kirika had turned an even darker shade of red, but she looked incredibly pleased. "Really?"

"I don't understand magic either, Rin." Jeane replied, rolling her eyes at Dhee. "Your mom knows all about Magic. Ask her when she's up to it."
"Well, uh, sure! Why wouldn't I want to come with you?" Conan grinned at Kirika. "Your house is great to hang out at, and I haven't been able to talk to you for too long. We can catch up!"

Of course, the phrase "UP to it" set Aimee to giggling all over again, even if it wasn't particularly funny, and Rune chucked a mage-ball at her friend, still dark red; the energy splattered harmlessly against the wall behind Aimee, and Rose rolled her eyes, dog-earing her page yet again and ruffling Rin's hair. "Don't worry, kit. I'll tell you about it when we get home. Some of it you won't get 'til you're older."
Kirika beamed, swinging her hand in Conan's slightly and looking - for a moment, at least - much like a normal teenager. "It should be at the Center. All the Tenjutsu will be there, and Mom says a lot of them will have grown up. And there'll be punch and cookies and candy and cake. I even helped make some of it."
"Oh, so that's who the heart cookie - " Chloe hardly got any farther before her twin's elbow landed in her gut, air exploding from her lungs in a whoosh as she futilely held up her hands in defense. Kirika darkened again, but her head was proudly high. "Maybe." She looked at Chloe, and the redhead gaped before grinning hugely. Kiri's confidence wilted slightly as she looked at Conan. "Do you like cookies, Co?"

Jeane snorted at Rune. "I know how you feel. Conan demanded to know where the baby in my stomach came from when he was still tiny. Pep had to explain to him."
Conan tuned that part of the conversation out. "Okay, the new Headquarters. I'll be there." He smiled. "And, yes. I love cookies."
