Looking into the water Seraphim carefully considered her words. ‘A shadow, no, I can’t use many of my powers but they are still there, just blocked.’ He was afraid for the first time in his memory. Turning he asked, “Have you every heard of this change making one lose themselves? Forgetting who and what they where before.”

Sohalia watched the scenery in the distance and considered, "I don't know many others outside my own family, so this I cannot say. My direct bloodline and I migrated here and we remember some of our past, yet not other parts. My brother's mate was born here though and has no memories of anything before. Our elders migrated here after our old home was dying... we followed the rumors, leaving another place we had settled, to find a bittersweet comfort here. It is home, but alot was changed in the coming."
She grinned at him. "With your wings you could easily journey to visit others and answer this quandry for yourself however. It is within yoru power to do that at least." She shrugged noncommittally, envying that power of his, but knowing she would never use it thusly anyway.

“You came here on purpose? Did you know at the time that there was no retuning from here?” Seraphim asked unable to understand why someone would want to come to a place so different but then again the same as what was left behind. Standing he started to pace. “Fire, water, earth, and wind, the four elements that make up all living things. I can feel them so similar to what I’m used to but different.” He shook his head. “The more I think on this the more confused I get.” With a sigh he dropped back to the ground. “I’m sorry I shouldn’t be bothering you with this, you probably have your own worries and don’t need some stupid male hounding you with questions you can‘t answer.”

"This is much better than my alternative, despite my losses... I don't think I'd wish a different life." Sohalia shrugged non-committally, then raised an eyebrow at his unusual talent. "You are quite the weird one aren't you?" She grinned, letting her tail swish back and forth. She simply answered his last with a curt, "Quite right." She snickered softly under her breath and stretched a little.
