Taelia nodded, "Okay, thank you so much! I really appreciate it!" That was really nice of her to offer.
When the waitress asked what she wanted, Taelia ordered, "I'll have the french toast too, please." She gave a wink to Lucy afterwards.
This way, she could have both their favorites and decide which one was best. Besides, she liked sugary things, and could give Riku some of the strawberries.

The waitress wrote down all of their orders. "Okay! I'll be back soon!"
Lucy smiled happily at Taelia's choice. She looked over towards Riku since it seems that he hasn't gotten any attention. Pushing away from the table, she grabbed her dog plush and then walked over towards the high chair.
"I want to show you a magic trick~!"
Rein gave Lucy a warning look but it seemed to have been ignored. The child wasn't doing anything...yet. The waitress had returned again with Riku's grape juice. She then disappeared back into the kitchen.
Lucy turned around making sure that no outsiders were around and looking at what she was doing. When she was sure that nobody noticed, she looked over towards Riku and then Taelia. "Ready?"

Riku tilted his head and looked intently at Lucy. She was talking to him, and from her tone, something was going to happen soon. But what could it be?
Taelia returned Lucy's smile, and then watched as she told Riku she was going to do a magic trick. What could it be?
She thanked the waitress for Riku's drink, and kept it near her. If Lucy did something to scare the boy, she didn't want him to spill his drink everywhere. She didn't think that Lucy would scare him though, he seemed pretty fearless of everything so far.
Riku continued looking at Lucy, still not understanding her words.
Taelia gave a nod, "Yes, I think we're ready." She wasn't sure, but Riku was staring at Lucy, so she guessed he was all ready to go.

"Okay~!" Lucy says happily as she stretched out her arms and stepped back a little bit so the plush wasn't held so close to her. But she held it high enough for both Taelia and Riku to see. Then after a moment, she lets go of the toy and it ended up floating in the air, just like back at the park.

Riku watched in fascination as the toy remained in the air even after the girl let go of it. He giggled and clapped his hands, that was cool!
Taelia smiled, glad Riku wasn't scared. "You're very talented, Lucy!" She wondered what else the small girl was capable of.

Lucy smiled as she made the toy twirl about in the air before having it fall into her arms. She took a bow much like the people on TV after a good performance and then skipped back to her seat. Just in time too because the appetizers, Rein's soup, and the two orders of French toast had arrived.
The orders were placed onto the table. "The fried rice will be done soon. I'll be back with it when it is done!"
Rein smiled at Taelia. "Well, while we wait, might as well enjoy the food in front of us first!" She says while taking a piece of garlic bread.

Riku applauded and giggled as the toy spun in the air. He wished he could do something like that! It was really neat!
Taelia gave a small applause as Lucy showed more control over her powers.
She thanked the waitress for the food. When she left and Rein spoke up, she nodded, "Yeah, everything looks yummy!"
Though, first, she helped Riku take a drink of grape juice, then she started on her french toast. She gave Riku a strawberry, taking a small bite to show him how to eat it.
Riku stuffed the whole strawberry in his mouth, munching happily.

"I'm happy that Lucy's unique ability didn't scare you two" Rein says happily as she help cut Lucy's french toast into smaller pieces, so it was easier to eat. Though, the woman wouldn't dare even mention how Lucy uses her powers when she is at home sometimes and who knows what she did when she was with Sesshomaru.
Lucy picked up the maple syrup and began to drown her toast with it, even making a big sticky mess on the table. Though, she only shrugged it off and began eating her french toast with a fork. She'll wash it off after she's done eating. Or Rein could do it for her.
"Augh! Lucy!" Rein scolded once more as she took the bottle of syrup, then passed it over towards Taelia. "Would you like some? Or is it already sweet enough?"
After several minutes later, the waitress appeared one last time while balancing a tray in her hands. She set down the large plate of fried rice and another medium sized plate with the desert on it. "Enjoy your meal!" She says and smiled before greeting the new customers that had just walked in.

Taelia nodded and smiled, "Me too, it's unusual, but it seems harmless. I'm glad that Riku didn't freak out, but so far, he's been unphased by anything, he never seems frightened..."
She nodded again, "Yes, please." Before Taelia used the syrup, she pulled off all the strawberries and gave one to Riku. She set the rest aside for him when he was done with that one. She liked strawberries, but there wasn't really anything else Riku could eat here. She poured just a tiny amount of syrup on her food, just enough to get a little bit of the taste.
Taeila thanked the waitress when she brought the last bit of food.
Once again greeted with a strawberry, Riku stuffed it in his mouth happily.

"Ahh, yes, harmless..." Rein muttered, and smiled nervously. She looked at the main dish in front of her and then realized something. "Oh I forgot to ask them for plates!"
She managed to get a nearby waiter's attention and had him brought over two clean plates, which were both given to her. Thanking him, Rein stood up and began to scoop a good amount of it onto the plate and then passed it over to Taelia. "Here you go!"
Lucy watched as Riku ate the strawberries that were given to him. Then she had eyed her plate. Most of it had been eaten already. But there were still left. She held up her plate, although carefully so the syrup wouldn't spill, and asked, "Want more?"

Taelia tilted her head, wondering why Rein reacted that way, was there more to Lucy's powers? She didn't have a chance to ask, as she spoke to a waiter about some plates.
"Thanks!" Taelia grabbed a fork and took a bite, chewing. After she swallowed, she said, "You were right, this is great!" She continued eating, enjoying the food.
Riku didn't exactly understand Lucy, but she was holding the plate in a way to catch his attention. He giggled and held his arms out towards the plate. He would eat any more strawberries that were given to him.

"Please, help yourself!" Rein says as she happily scooped some rice into her own plate, while eating some of the appetizers as well. She watched as Lucy Lucy was offering her left over strawberries to the infant.
"Be careful, Lucy" She warned, fearing for the safety of both children.
The pink-haired girl nodded her head as she got out of her seat to place the plate in front of Riku. "Nyuu...." She huffed being slightly too short. It was possible to use her vectors, but there seemed to be just too many people around at the moment.
Right now, she didn't want to have to deal with panic and fear. She hadn't eaten her strawberry cake yet!

Taelia nodded, "Okay, thanks!" She smiled happily, eating her rice. Once it was empty, she got another scoop.
Riku burbled happily as Lucy came over with an offering of strawberries! He smiled and giggled at the girl happily.
Taelia smiled at Lucy, "Thank you for sharing your strawberries with Riku!" She was glad Lucy was doing so, now Riku would have more to eat.

Lucy smiled a little at the woman and nodded her head. "I've got a lot more" She says, referring to her cake. As soon as the strawberries had been picked off her plate, she made her way back to the table and whispered something into her guardian's ear.
Rein frowned slightly as she swallowed her food and wiped her mouth. "I hate to bother you, but Lucy wants to go someplace and insists that you and Riku tag along. Are you busy after this?"

Taelia returned Lucy's smile and nodded, taking a bite of the rice, "I'm looking forward to trying some cake myself!" It did look really good!
Riku picked up another strawberry and promptly stuffed it in his mouth, eating it happily.
Taelia smiled, "Thanks for the invite, we don't have anything else to do the rest of the day. If it's not too much trouble, we'd enjoy spending more time with you!"
