Eve looked up at the girl who spoke, her body was heavier up top and Eve thought about health class for a second, remember how breast sizes increase with pregnancy. She snapped back to reality at the question, "I've learned that other people aren't my business. I've been hurt and hurt before, don't want to risk it again." Eve saw the dead plants in her room, she had never met a mutant before, nor did she know they existed, nor did she know she went to the same school as them. "You also have a lot of will power if you don't truly care that she has gray skin." She had no idea what gray skin meant but she figured it was a medical condition.

Dusk and Rain both smiled at Dani as she seemed to at least lighten up a bit. Dusk spoke first announcing her name shortly followed by Rain before Rain said, "At least those are our given names. Don't particularly remember the ones we were born with." Unlike many people who had a family at one point, one of them had been sold quite literally to another who became her savior. Many people liked to pretend that slavery was long gone but it wasn't it just came in a different form.

Moon Child wandered the halls aimlessly in her bikini with nothing better to do. She knew somewhere on the property there were other people but she wasn't sure if she wanted to find them for her mind was a million miles away in her own world. It wasn't often that she could stay grounded for most people bored her so easily but anything was possible.

"I'm the one who did it, so I have no reason to care about it." Zerlina said with a shrug, "It's quite amusing to see the outcome of killing a few sking sells." Just like Eve had no clue she was a mutant, Zerlina had no clue Eve was human. She actually didn't even know normal people went to the school, being that she hadn't read anything about it.

Eve got extremely confused then, "How did you cause that? I thought it was just a medical condition." She looked at the girl with the gray skin and then back to the girl in the doorway. She wanted to back away but she also didn't want to make her mad in case she did that to her as well. She tried to look around her room, looking for a spell book, candles, or something that signified she was a witch. Something Eve had dipped into, rather successfully when she was popular.

The thought occured to Zerlina that Eve wasn't a mutant, and had no idea they existed. She shrugged off all thoughts that it would be bad to reveal many students at the school were mutants. "Like I said before, I killed her skin cells." Lin said, "Being a mutant, my power is killing things by either touchinging it or glaring at it. I can also manipulate dead materials, which explains how I go my room to were it is. People who study mutants say my power is highly unique and they've never seen anything like it. They named it necrokinesis. I realy can't say it's useful, but it's quite a fun power to mess with." Normally she would never go on his long without insulting the person she was talking to, but for some reason she liked this girl -or at least didn't have a distinct dislike for her-, plus she could go on and on since she was bragging.

Cole tossed the white controller lightly back in front of the TV screen.
He uncrossed his legs and stood up from the floor, stretching his arms as he did so.
He took a step closer to the TV and turned it off before reaching to the white box-like object next to it. He pressed the glowing button the the front and the quiet humming sound coming from it stopped as the glow disappeared.
He glanced at the door for a moment, contemplating whether he should go out it or not.
He finally gave in and slowly walked over to it.
He put his hand on the doorknob and it lingered there for a moment while he stared at it with a sort of transfixed stare.
He finally shook his head and turned it, pulling the door open. He stepped out of it's way and cautiously slipped into the hallway.
Over the years, he had grown talented at what some might call 'sneaking'. He just called it 'being quiet and not letting anyone know you're there'.
He closed the door behind him with a quiet click as it latched into place.
He stood against it and stared out in each direction of the hall.

Finally coming back into the real world Moon Child walked across the second floor hallway unconsciously biting her lips as she looked at the passing rooms. Several minutes ago she had found incentive to finding her room but in best efforts of finding it alone she had refused to ask for help and avoided people. However the numbers on the doors meant nothing to her, neither did any words. Having found her room the first time by sheer luck she just wanted to get back and change out of her bikini. It was times like this she truly hated those who had adopted her and never bothered to think she might need to read one of these days. That she wouldn't always stay in that god forsaken town. Looking down at the number on her key, none of the ones on the door matched. From wandering the hallways she had committed them to memory and now all she needed was a reference, one she was to ashamed to ask for. Though this was a nice change. For one of the few times she was physically lost instead of lost within her mind.

Lisa had made her way up the stairs to the top where she saw Cole clinging to the wall, she slowly walked over, "Cole? We have some new guests. Would you like to meet them?"

Eve's eyes got all big at the words that were coming out of the girl's mouth, "Mutants? Necrokinesis...?" She looked around the room and realized what she was saying, "So your telling me you have to power to kill things by touching or looking at it? And are there other mutants here or is it just you?" She remembered the shaking earlier but thought that the house was on a fault, till now.

Zerlina suppressed a smile when she saw the girls shock. This would be quite fun. "Many of the people that go to this school are mutants; after all it is a school for the 'gifted'." Lin said motioning to the area around her. I wonder how she'll react. It would probably be denial, shock, acceptance, or amazement. From the way the girl was acting now, she assumed it would be shock.

"So this isn't a school for smart people? It's a school for those with powers." The fact that she was saying this made nervous, this only happened in dreams, "If this is a school for.... mutants, then why was I accepted?" She wondered if mutants was politically correct and then realized what she was saying, "You know your good at pulling my leg. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. School for mutants!" She stopped short in her laugh, realizing others were looking at her like she was crazy, "Mutants!? For real?! No!"

"I don't know. Maybe they take in some normal students as a cover up." Zerlina said with a shrug. She frowned slightly when she saw that her assumption had been wrong, since usually she was good at guessing how people would. Oh well, that's not important. "It's quite true. Let me demonstrate my powers." Zerlina snapped her fingers and the floor in front of her began to crack before a small puppy made completely out of bones emerged. Lin nodded to Eve and the puppy ran up to her and began barking happily at her feet.

"Given by who? Yourselves, or?..." Dani trailed off again, hoping she wasn't prying or anything. She knew people seemed to be strange about telling things, especially to a complete stranger. But, she was curious. For once she was acting more like herself, not letting the conversation die. Asking, talking. It was strange, having been so quiet for so long.

Eve screamed at the bony dog and jumped back, "What the hell!? This has to be a dream, it has to be, it has to be." She was trying to convince herself that it was a dream until her baby kicked, then she knew it wasn't, "So you did that to that girl and you conjured a bony dog out of no where.... right. I'm going back to what I said earlier, somethings just ain't my business if you get what I mean."

Jinx walked up to the school, dragging his luggage along behind him. He had left his old foster home on foot, ever since the accident he and cars didn't get along well. He was trying hard to control his excitement, hoping that it wouldn't cause all of his things to fly out of their suitcases.

This effort soon proved pointless as he walked into the school. In that moment, as he crossed the threshold, his excitement came to a head. Glass in the nearby windows shattered, and a few nearby doors flew open. "Oh God," he said quietly to himself. In a very quiet and sad voice, he uttered a small, wavering "sorry" down the hallway, and quickly tried to get into his room to hide. As he walked upstairs to the dorm rooms, he still felt very good about this place. It seemed to have a good energy to it. He hoped he could belong here.

As he found Room #8, his excitement spiked again. He hoped he wasn't affecting anybody else if they were in their nearby rooms, but as he tried to open his door, his feelings got the best of him again. The doorknob fell out, and the door itself flew off of the hinges and into his room. Jameson ran his hand through his hair and sighed. At least I have something to do now, he thought with both a little sadness and perhaps a little humor. Fortunately, through his years of having this power, he had learned to be pretty handy, and set to work out in the hallway fixing the door with some tools he had packed for exactly this purpose.

The two looked at each other in silent consideration before Dusk spoke, "Phillipe named us. I guess you could call him our pseudo father. He paid my parents for us and took us away when I was 8 give or take a few years and then he raised us. Didn't really have a name other than 'hey you' so he named us" Shrugging her shoulders she turned to Rain letting her explain, "My parents decided a little late that they didn't want any more kids so it was a good exchange. He was a good teacher and a good man." Sadness flickered through her eyes for a moment talking about the man who owned them. Or had.
