She held back a smirk "'ees long gone 'ee is." She nodded softly her tongue barely flicking out to her fangs, Mr Lovett was a means to an end, and he had met his end. Now she ran her pie trade alone, hunted alone, and was becoming increasingly...lonely.
"I don't think you could 'urt me love...I can see it in those fire and ice eyes I can...We won't 'urt each other." She smirked.

Abel coughed a bit and his ears drooped a bit. "I'm sorry to hear that," he said and he smiled a little. He shook his head, giving her a look that said he wished he could believe she was right. "Never intentionally. But sometimes... one cannot stop ones self..." he replied, softer than before. That was one of the things he feared, losing control.

"Oh it's quite alright...ours was a...convenient match. I've never been able to find a match of passion." Until just now She grinned to herself, glad she hadn't sliced his throat.
"You would be surprised at the amount o self control somebody can show love." Her claws flexed into the earth and she leaned closer.

"Ahhh, I see." He nodded his head in understanding and suppressed the urge to pat her shoulder in an attempt to comfort her on her sad marriage. He didn't lean away this time, just sat still and smiled. "I know exactly what you mean," he replied and considered her calling him "love". He thought about requesting that she not do it anymore, for what person called a priest "love"? But then... he didn't. He didn't really have a good reason for not asking her, he just didn't.

"Do you? I suppose you 'aven't 'ad passion either 'ave you?" She tilted her head and looked at him her eyes once again gleaming with curiosity. Still they flicked over his wings, she was itching to find out what sensations they elicited from him.
Slowly she moved to lay down beside him her paws resting lightly under her ready to spring at any moment.

Abel looked a little uncomfortable again and sighed. "True, I've never known passion, but love... That I knew. A long time ago, I had a family and despite everything, I loved them very much. But that's gone now. And as a priest..." he paused there and actually blushed beneath his fur, the pale color not hiding the crimson flush at all. "I abstain from... passion with another." It was true that his decision to avoid romantic relations was influenced by his mentor's influence, however another big reason was because he didn't completely trust himself.

Lovett listened curiously her ears flicking back. "And your family? Whot of them?" She tilted her head and remained close to the odd winged male.
He intrigued her quite a bit and she smirked to herself, would she be wicked for trying to make a priest give up and surrender to passion? Did she care?

Abel sighed and shook his head. "My brother... He and I hated our creator, in the beginning. My little sister just wanted to be a child. And my older sister... loved this world. No matter what happened to her, she adored everything around her. She always tried to get us to lose our hatred. One day... My brother snapped," he hung his head. Any other otter might have cried. But Abel had shed enough tears for his dear sister. "She stood in his way and he tore her to pieces. My anger changed, from my creator to my own kin. We fought and I blacked out. The next thing I knew, I was with my mentor in his church. I don't know what happened to my brother or sister."
The elder slowly lied down and placed his head on his paws. He missed his sisters, very dearly indeed. Part of him even missed his brother... or, at least the part of his brother that had been good and true. Maybe they were all monstrosities, unfit for the lives they'd been given, the second and third chances he had received...

Lovett frowned and pressed against him moving her paw soothingly to his long hair. She let her claws rest against his head and gave him a soft nudge with her nose. "I'm sure all that 'appened was for some reason, if you believe in a paradise is it so 'ard to believe your family each met their proper destiny?"
She slowly moved her clawed paw back under her own sleek body and watched him her heart oddly touched, how strange to get to know someone like this. She longed to spend more time conversing with him curious about the rest of his interesting personality and traits.

Abel shrugged a bit and actually leaned into her paw when she stroked his hair. "The one thing I'm unsure of in my life," he sighed. He closed his eyes for a moment and nodded. "I can almost feel... my little sister is out there, well if not happy. We used to be able to tell, how the others were feeling. After my brother lost it... We couldn't reach him anymore, as if he had severed all ties to us," he paused and looked up at the sky that was slowly filling with stars. "It's horrible, but part of me hopes he's dead." He looked down and anger, mostly at himself, crossed his face. "And what's worse is, the other part hopes he's alive, so that I can see the look in his eyes as the life drains out of him and over my paws..."

Lovett looked at him surprised a moment before giving him a nuzzle. She was startled and pleased with his seemingly dual personality, soft yet hard. Her dark eyes remained focused on him intent and filled with an odd desire.
"That's not so bad, not so unnatural to long to destroy tha' which 'as 'urt you." She murmured and placed her paw over his gloved one.

He smiled a little bit at her nuzzle and nodded his head. "I'm... glad, that you understand. I've never actually told anyone about my family. I guess I thought others would think me a... a monster, for feeling the way I do. I know it's wrong to take a life out of anger, but... sometimes I can't remember that," he replied and his gaze, the two very different eyes reflecting the halves of his personality, turned on her, conveying his thanks on a level words could not.

Lovett gazed at him uncertainly a long moment before murmuring softly. "My first names Sarah..."
She looked into his eyes, a silent confession, she would have to trust him not to think her a monster in the future. She could not tell him out loud that she ate others of their kind, and fed them to unsuspecting otters who traded for her scrumptious pies. She had never felt badly about her trade, yet now she wondered if she shouldn't? Lovett had never thought anyone would miss the little otters she picked off and put into her pies.

Abel's ears pricked forward and his smile grew a little. "It's a beautiful name," he said and tilted his head slightly. "A Hebrew name. Do you know what it means?" He knew, of course, but he wanted to see if she did or not. It... fit her. He finally admitted to himself just how badly he had misjudged her in the beginning. Apparently, like himself, she wasn't the same inside and out.

She watched him smile and her eyes shimmered with pleasure, she liked his smile, it made her feel warm. She shook her head and looked at him curiously what meanings did names have?
"No, whot does it mean?" She sat up a bit intrigued. "Whot does yours mean?"
