Maybe when Rose took in the Time Vortex there was some left in her and she uses it to stop the regeneration?

[That could be it, but it wouldn't really make sense if that was what killed him last time. They'd have to think up some really good pseudo-science for it:p]

I was being all depressed and mopey but I read that David is signed on until 2010. Yay! He's my Doctor and I don't wanna lose him anytime soon. I can't claim any others.

I still can't think think straight right now though. (I just watched it an hour ago, my sources were terminated and I had to wait for some brave uploader to stand up to the beeb)

Do you guys think that maybe "the most faithful companion" that's going to die could be the TARDIS?

And Dalek Caan said something about "the three-fold man" Is there going to be 2 clones? Is Jenny coming back, and is she going to count as one of the clones?

Wow, I'm kinda at a loss of words. Davros, Daleks, a bunch of companions, and the Doctor getting zapped at the end.

Just...wow, can't wait to see the finale.

I'm shaken up. Is the Doctor really doing this? Whoosh! DX If this is it, then who's the next actor and what about the 2009 specials? Would they be flashbacks?

I'm wondering who's going to die. I thought it might be Rose.

And the Fifth Doctor rocks!

I'm just saying. RTD did want to blow it up in Turn Left, but they wouldn't let him because it was supposed to be the cheap episode. I'd rather the TARDIS die than Rose and/or Donna. I have a feeling that I'm going to be heartbroken by the end of the series finale. gonk

Z OMG
The Last of the Timelords
Do none of you people read spoilers of your own? Or seen the pics involving DT wearing both the Blue and Brown in the last episode of the season?

Have you all forgotten his hand????

You'd better hope, for your sake that you're right because otherwise there will be a lot of angry fangirls out there who'll be pretty miffed I can tell you.
I do not want DT to leave.
DT, for a fact, is far too hot to be hanging up his Sonic Screwdriver just yet :]

Agreed. He hasn't been around nearly long enough. And what's all this talk about killing the TARDIS?!?! I WONT ALLOW IT! I'd frickin cry if they did that!

ROSE!! :SCREAM: STUPID ROSE!!
What did she say?! "I've come all this way just to find you?" All I could think was a line the Doctor said from the first season...
"Now Rose... You aren't going to grow up and destroy the world, are you?"
Guess the answer is YES! (and she was being selfish in that episode too, come to think of it)

When the Doctor and rose were running towards each other, I couldn't help but think... "Oh... Heathcliff!" the melodrama was priceless.
And like RTD said in Confidential, all those scenes in such movies would have been made better if a dalek would have shot the hero. Brilliant work, and way to turn up the drama!

This is the first episode I have seen where the doctor regenerates and there are people there who know what is going on. Of course Donna didn't know what regeneration was, but Rose and Jack sure did. It was amazing. I am very interested (well actually, on the edge of my seat comes closer!) to see what will happen next.

It is hard for me to believe that they could just bring in a new doctor without anything being leaked to the net. And that includes info on who the new actor is that's going to play him. So I keep thinking that maybe this whole thing is going to be undone somehow. Donna is going to give her life in order to put everything right again or something. I really like Donna. I like her quite a bit, and I DON'T want to lose her. Still, there was a mention of something on her back again! And maybe she really will have to sacrifice her life. crying The show will lose a brilliant actress and my favorite companion if Catherine Tate does leave.

On the other hand, in the library episode, the Doctor's new regeneration was more than foreshadowed. Which makes me think that maybe there is going to be a new doctor. I wasn't expecting and am not ready for a regeneration. Then again, I wasn't ready for Eccleston to leave after only one season. He really was a brilliant Doctor, even if Tennant is doing just as brilliantly and is just as beloved. I'm really tired of hearing about Rose. It is starting to ruin what was a great companion. I hope that in the end, there is a better reason for Rose to come looking for the Doctor than just her love and pining for him. That is NOT a good reason to end the universe, and it is a poke in the eye to everything that the Doctor did in order to save her from death and stop the universes from colliding.

That "most faithful companion" comment was deliberately vague and written so that it could apply to most any companion there.

Is the "most faithful" Sarah Jane Smith, who has known the Doctor since the Old series and still manages to be here now?

Maybe it is Jack Harkness, who even in his dying days as the face of Boe wanted the Doctor to be there and even told him that he was not alone.
Anyone who points out that Jack Harkness CAN'T die would do well to remember that Jack did die in an episode of Torchwood. They were almost ready to inter him in a wall if I remember right.

Perhaps it is Martha, who had to operate in Rose's shadow, but still had the utmost faith in him and never doubted the Doctor even once.

Or Maybe it is Rose, who crossed over from another dimension to be with the Doctor and never stopped longing for him.

Perhaps it is Donna Noble, who is more important than she will ever know. After all, she did save the Doctor's life in that Christmas special, and has been told she will have a great loss. Once she was even told she would lose her life. But she has given her life already, hasn't she?
Then again, the TARDIS theory is as good as any, although I think less likely...

And yes, even people who have other shows can die if all of this is an alternate reality or something that is going to be undone somehow. Although I do admit that it is probably not going to be someone who has another show dependent on them. If I were forced to pick which companion in my opinion is most likely to die, it would have to be either Rose or Donna.

I still think that the way the statement was written it could apply to anyone, and we will just have to wait and see what happens. I am fairly certain it was written that way on purpose. xd

I really love all these theories swarming right now.

I think, seriously, there might end up being two identical doctors. Not ONLY would that look awsome, but it would make sense too with the hand and the christmas specials. :3

I think my favorite companions from the new series is Donna, or Martha. Rose was okay, but I didnt have a love for her. And Rose was annoyingly self centered. The only time I thought Rose was cool was in the 'Turn Left' episode. And Donna was able to say "YOU'RE WRONG" to the doctor. Which made me go "0_o epic win Donna!"

i think Donna will die because she will become a Time Lord and/or the Master will be back
I mostly think that she will become a timelord because Donna is nmy favourite NewWho companion and if she dies i will be pissed mad

I hope Rose dies. Properly.
