Part of Jester wanted to remain with his mate, while the other half wanted to go hunt down Cliffside for causing such agony to his Twilla. Yet he also wanted to believe that Cliff would come around, but something told him to be wary of the other male in the future.

Hunching a bit lower to appear less assuming and give more comfort to his mate, Jester settled into his perch. Wanting to give Twilla her space, "You said what you felt was right." Jester sighed.

"Why don't we let ourselves get some rest, and then we'll see what this brings. Maybe all he needs is a little time." the wildtype suggested, trying to bring her a hint of cheer. Shifting his weight, Jester opened his body up to invite Twilla to nestle beside him.

This was one of the moments in Jesters life when he wished that he was a sweet-voiced bard. So that his song would calm his mates fears and doubts and help her relax. Groaning silently to himself, as all he could do was exist for her. But perhaps that was enough.

"I guess..." She mumbled quietly. She stood stock still for a moment longer before she hunched and moved closer to the Wildtype. She was exhausted, but did not feel like she could rest. Her mind was too busy shifting over the night's events.

What ifs plagued her being as she nestled down next to her mate and closed her pale blue eyes. Perhaps the next night would bring something better and maybe Cliffside would finally come to his senses and they would be friends again. She felt rotten to the core for what she had said to him and the arguing was enough to keep her companions from reentering her hovel...

"I'm not really tired, though..." She protested, but it was contradicted by her drooping, drowsy manner. She was glad Jester was here, even if it was his being here that was causing problems. She had chosen him and he her and that is how it is and how it will be.

"They'll be beautiful... No matter what anyone says."

They?

Although Jesters mind was so busy with thoughts of things he'd rather not ever even think of doing, he had completely forgotten. Amidst the swirl of emotions flowing through the wildtype, that word..they, created a whole new worry. Chicks.

Not wanting to worry about this at the present moment, still the thought of chicks...his/i] chicks, flooded into his mind. He wanted to focus all his concern to Twilla and the recent happenings, but he hadn't even stop to think about the chicks till that very moment.

Hooting softly to Twilla, "Sleep now, even though you may not think you are tired. Sleep." Jester said it not only to Twilla, but to himself as well. There was no need to worry about anything any more till next night. Slowly but surely sleep claimed the bard, and his dreams took him.

For a moment, he seemed very quiet and after the recent events in her hovel, this worried the shadow. She pressed closer to him, as if trying to block out the world. Everything would be fine and even though sleep was the furthest thing from her mind, he was right. She needed it.

"Good morning..." She mumbled softly, but he was already asleep. The gatherer was not far behind as the night's events took it's toll on her. Her dreams were not pleasant, but she slept.
