Senka tilted her head and took a deep breath. "Do you wanna talk about it? I'll understand if you don't want to discuss something personal with me, but I'll at least listen to what you have to say and try to help." she offered.

Taelence sighed.
"It's just, well, I've fallen in love with Chocolate. And then, there's another fox," Taelence sighed again. "They've been true to me, and I love them too, but not as much as I want to be with Cho. And I feel like I've been leading them on." she couldn't look at Senka. "It's just, they're one of my best friends. And I feel like, they're going to hate me when I tell them. Because I know that I can't keep on the way I am. I know that. But, this fox, they're so special and I just wish that I could find someone for them who will love them as much as I do."

Senka nodded listening. "Hmmm...that is a hard one....have you tried just telling them that although they're special to you and will always have a place in you're heart, that you love someone else? Although it is often harsh, the truth is often the best way to deal with something like this. They may feel hurt at first, but eventually that will heal and I'm sure you'll still be able to be friends afterwards."
She patted Tael reassuringly. "Thats all I can think of I'm afraid. I hope it helps..."

Taelence smiled.
"It does. And I know that I have to tell them. It's just a matter of courage and timing," She sighed but looked determined. "You're lucky you don't have this problem with Gabriel."
She meant this as a side joke, but it was partly true. She envied others whom didn't have to make this kind of choice, and it was hard. But it was something Tael would have to do, whether she liked it or not.

Senka looked over her shoulder at the lightening rain. "Hmmm...its starting to stop." she said. "I don't like it when it rains, but I do like the way everything smells so fresh and new after. Tonight will be a good night to look at the stars." she said, "They'll be brighter than they have been in a few days."

Taelence nodded.
"I like splashing in the puddles after it's rained. And the wet earth smell is amazing. It's like, smelling that one tiny smell connects me to everything else," she stared at Senka. "Though I suppose that that's what it feels like for you when you gaze at the stars."

"Maybe," Taelence said, smiling at the silver fox. Movement at the door caught her eye and she turned to look. Standing there was a red hair human, her Caretaker Crimson.
"Oh, Crimson's here," she turned back to Senka. "Will you be ok here, or can we give you a ride somewhere?" she asked.

Senka shook her head. "I'll be fine. I live just a block or so away." she said. "I'll see you around Tael?" she asked.

Taelence smiled brightly.
"Most definitely Senka, most definitely," she bounded to the door and pushed it open. But she turned back and waved at Senka before exiting the shop.
All in all, Taelence had learned that judging someone before really getting to know someone was a mistake. And it was a mistake that she wouldn't soon make again.
I came in miserable and walked out with a friend, she thought as she climbed into Crimson's car.
Imagine that.

Senka smiled and waved to Tael as she ran to her owners car. She picked up the basket she'd left at the entry way and then started to walk the block home. She smiled to herself the entire walk. "Maybe things will work out for me this time." She said out loud to no one in particular, and with that she went home.
