(( ninja Sorry I took so long ninja ))
“Enjoy,” Carl waived his hand back toward the hallway. “He should be out by the food.” Ms. Epithany did not seem to be here for the same reason that Keno and Carl were, and at the moment Carl wasn’t hungry enough to join her. Perhaps between rounds he’d go get something, but for now the fights took precedence.
With his attention focused on both the Yoko/Kenta fight and the Red/Sol fight, he found himself comparing the two. Red/Sol seemed to be a pretty even match, they were both landing blows left and right, but Yoko seemed to have the upper hand in his fight. Kenta was on the run and was barely able to fend off most of the attacks falling upon him. For some reason, maybe it was just the challenge of the fight, Carl enjoyed watching Red and Sol fighting much more then he did Yoko and Kenta.
The other fights didn’t seem to be progressing as smoothly. Little worth commenting on happened in two of them, but the fight between the Jedi and Ms. Epithanys master was turning out to be quite entertaining. The Jedi, Valin did not seem to be as graceful as the legendary Jedi that Carl had heard tales of, but he did appear to be competent none the less. He chuckled lightly as Valin was stuck in the chest and responded with a kick straight from the school of drunken boxing.

Keno withheld a light chuckle under his breath at the amount of wonder the mage held for this place. It was, to him, an indication of the differences in their outlook and understanding of the world. For him, the simpler, the better. The mechanics of time, space, and the cosmos as a whole did not much matter so long as it worked, but to Epithany, knowledge meant a great deal more. Anything that could be constructed could be broken down. Everything had parts...
Seeing her off with a wave of his free hand, his eyes focused intently on the screens, all of them. He could guess what Carl was thinking about the fights, and whether or not he agreed, he kept mostly to himself. Of all the fights, the Red and Sol fight displayed the most complex level of melee of combat while the Jedi and Pith's tutor held a very sophisticated match in which they exhibited their own specialties in their own unique ways. Those two fights entertained him much more than the others. He did take note of the fight between Yo-ko and Kenta, but of the many things he felt, impressed wasn't one of them. Getting the general idea of how it would work out, he kept his attention on it minimal.
"Well if you had to guess, who would you put your money on?"

(Jeez talk about a late reply. Sorry Pith. . )
::Unks remained in his seat while all the other warriors went off to compete in their first round matches. By now there was a large pile of empty plates and cups in front of him. He let out a very content sigh caused by his full Saiya-jin belly. He patted his stomach a few times and smiled.
"Man I haven't eaten like this in a long time. I hope there isn't any MSG in this food, or else I'm just gonna be hungry again soon."
A small burp escaped the boy's mouth as he laughed a little at what he just said. Seeing as no one was around he didn't care much but still muttered a quiet "excuse me".
He could sense the energy levels of both Carl and Keno in the other room, and then noticed his wife's energy level as well. His eyes got a bit wide and he gulped hard as she started moving closer to the reception area where he was::
"Oh crap. .I totally forgot to mention this tournament to her. She is gonna scold me big time for this. . ."

Wading through the maze of food and tables, the mage homed in on the the Saiya-jin's signal. At this point she genuinely no longer mad at his impromptu departure, but it was always fun to tease him.
Pausing to procure a plateful cheese cake she smirked aware that he likely knew of her presence already. The fact he had made no attempt to seek her out was a good sign that he was likely avoiding a confrontation.
Appearing from behind a moutain of empty dishes she smirked shoveling a portion of her dessert into her mouth. Taking her time to savor the delictable flavor she eyed him sternly.
"Hope you enjoyed your meal..."
Setting her plate down she clapsed her hands behind her back slowly strolling behind him. Draping her arms around his neck she propped her chin on his shoulder she smirked planting a kiss on his cheek.
"You sure it was a good a idea to eat all that? You've got a match coming up. "
Sighing she smiled leaning into the back of the seat further.
"I have no idea where you guys put all that food?"

::Unks smiled when he felt her getting closer and then put her arms around him and kissed his cheek. He kept his head still as she rested her chin on it and leaned in closer to him.
"It is ok, for some reason after eating a big meal then fighting never sems to bother me. As for where we put it all. .I've got no freakin' clue."
He laughed lightly and leaned his head back slightly so he can rest his head on her chest as he made sure her chin stayed where it was. He smelt the cheesecake on her and smirked a bit::
"Hey got anymore cheesecake?"

Tightening her grip around his neck she squeezed
"No cheesecake for you...You didn't tell me there was going to be a tournament."
Gazing at the profile of his face she smiled lovingly. Truthfully there were too many people she was close to in this tournament for comfort. Had she entered it, it would have proven difficult to give it her all.
Releasing herself from behind she promptly sat down on his lap to prevent him from falling backward. Leaning foward she reached for the remainder of her cake and proceeded to eat it in front of him.
"Mmmm, its soooo good."
Waving her fork in front of him she laughed.
"Bet you wish you had some."
He could easily rise and get his own plate, but it was the principle of the thing.

::He felt a bit of pressure when she griped his neck tighter for a second and smiled. When she moved from behind to sit on his lap he wrapped his arms around her to hold her there. He watched her eat her cheese cake in front of him and laughed when she waved her fork in his face as she spoke.
"Alright, I deserve that. I am sorry I didn't tell you about the tournament ans just upped and left."
He then leaned in a bit to kiss her lips which tasted like the cheese cake and when he pulled back he licked his own lips and smiled::
"Besides I was only kidding about the cheese cake. I don't need a piece of my own when I can taste it on your kisses."

Enjoying the kiss she held it for a moment. As he pulled away she smiled. Listening to his words she rolled his eyes and flicked his nose.
"Cheezy! That was so corny hon."
Laughing to herself she set down her plate. Wrapping her arms around his torso she buried her face in his chest sighing contently.
From what she could tell from her brief period of viewing the bouts, they seemed to be coming to their conclusions. That in turn made it evident that he would be stripped away from her in a matter of moments.
Glancing up at his face she adjusted her glasses which had been pushed askew.
"So a free pass to round 2? Better not waste it."

The final matches had ended, and the Keno that had stood quietly in attendance among those who were to go to Round Two returned to life with a brief announcement.
"It's finally time for the rest of you to get going. Good luck to you all." He didn't stay long enough to greet or talk to the defeated of Round One. though they had lost, they had served a vital role in determining the outcome of the next round...maybe. Winners from Round One were blessed to advance, however they would be fatigued no doubt if they went all the way. Whoever beat the warriors that were still at full force would certainly gain Keno's respect.
Fading away into nothingness, the only thing Keno left available to the newcomers from the first bout was a new Disperse Halo where he once stood. That would take them back to wherever they called home, but the door that led to the lounge also opened up. Anyone choosing to enjoy the refreshments and watch the tournament as it progressed was now welcomed. With that, his signature was reduced to four, one for each of the rooms displaying the second round, each room showing one fight a piece.

He had lost, or so it had seemed since he found himself about to be attacked by some sort of plant, instead being returned harmlessly to the reception room. Looking about, his eyes held a look of disappointed relief. Disappointment rose from the feeling that he had lost his first match, which to him was honestly kind of pathetic. At the same time he was relieved that he no longer had to fight against someone like that. It was a bit much.
Quickly perking up, or trying to anyway, a talent he was learning from Chris, the young kitsune returned to the rows of food and scooped up a tray full of sliced fruits - apples, mangoes, oranges, pineapples, and kiwi - as well as a plum, some grapes, and a few strawberries. Nothing like a few sweet fruits to lift one's spirits after bitter defeat. Biting into one of the mango slices, his eyes lit up as he noted the presence of Miss Pith and the now open door to the lounge.
Deciding to check it out, the young kitsune, albeit weary, made his way to the door and beyond, entering a dark corridor lit up only by the dim, blue glow from the rooms within. Walking by the first, he took a quick peek in, noticing that the walls were covered, inch for inch, with television monitors. Looking closer, he noticed that each screen was pointed toward what appeared to be a dilapidated ring. Within the ring were two people, and Kenta just assumed they must be the participants for Round Two.
Popping a strawberry into his mouth, he continued on his way. In one of these rooms, Yo-ko and Chris would be preparing to fight. Kenta had hoped to face his girlfriend in the second round, but he took solace in knowing that he had hopefully worn his fellow kitsune out enough to keep him from overwhelming her with an endless barrage of vicious attacks.
Peaking into the third room, the furthest on the right, he came across the room he was looking for, catching the radiance of his girlfriend as she beamed at the layout of the arena. Interestingly, she didn't look all that worn out. Either she easily dispatched her opponent in the first round, or he had forfeit the match. Whatever the case, she might have a better advantage than he had anticipated.
Looking to the floor for some seating, he found a ridiculously large bean bag resting in the center. Surely it could sit several people comfortably, and no one would be disturbed by another's shuffling unless they were crammed together. The only two drawbacks to the set up. One was the multitude of screens which Kenta was not gifted with being able to see all at once. He would have to pick one with a decent vantage and hope that it sufficed. The other was that his father was physically present, eyes seemingly set on nothing, meaning that he was watching everything at once. How convenient that he had 360 vision. It wasn't something Kenta was particularly jealous of all things considered, but it was still something to be bitter about.
Oh well. So long as Chris won, he'd be content.

Carl simply chuckled at the question Keno had proposed to him. All of the fighters seemed skilled in their individual fields, and now that round two was about to begin he could see the other participants that had been granted a pass through round one and had gone straight to round two. Unks had joined the fight, along with a masked fighter apparently going by the name of “X”. A third fighter had joined as well, but he was one Carl knew nothing about.
As the second round began, Carl stayed relatively silent. The bouts were going well, he thought, and as they progressed he finally decided where his money would go. Raising his finger to point at a monitor in front of him, he looked over to Keno.
“I would vote… for that boy.” His hand was raised to a monitor displaying the battle between Aurorion Trition and X. At the pause in his statement, the ring beneath the masked fighter exploded into dust and shrapnel. At Carls whim, three of the monitors around it switched from cameras to slow-motion replays of the strike, showing his fist collapse into the devastating blow.
“He’s not very learned,” Carl spoke of the surprise on the boys face when he saw the holy powers of his opponent, an aspect that would have been seen as less-then miraculous to many of the other participants. “But he the heart for combat.”
“And yours?” Unsure of where Kenos money laid, Carl looked to some of the other screens to view their on-going fights. Many of the other fighters showed promise, and there were others that Carl could soon have bet on, but sometimes it was worth betting on a longshot, an unknown… quite literally.

"Mine?" Keno laughed himself in response to Carl, more out of entertainment at the sequence of events taking place with each of the fighters. Two of his most anticipated matches for this round ended too soon, but the remaining half proved to be more entertaining than he had anticipated. 'Interesting' was definitely an appropriate word for these fights.
Before answering, he simply sat in silence, watching the fighter X take on Aurorion, both warriors being anonymous to him. Of a surety, the masked warrior was proving himself more than capable of handling his own, but as Carl had mentioned, he wasn't very learned. Despite his determination, he wasn't sure it would stack up too well were he fortunate enough to advance to the third round. He might have a string of luck - who could be sure? - but was it really gonna be enough to win the final round?
Not in Keno's opinion. He had his own opinion on the matter from what he knew of the contestants, and he pointed to one of the kitsune, a male, currently engaged with Unks in combat. "The mage knows her way around the ring, and from what I was told, he was the one who taught her. I'm not sure about his skills with magic, but I'd say he'll prove himself to be just as calculating and effective, if not more so, than she is.
"Truth be told, though, I don't think I've ever actually seen him fight before now."

Over hearing the conversation as she reentered the viewing room she smirked.
"I bet I could beat Sasha in a Mage's duel. That lack of specialization of his can be his downfall. That third eye technique of his can be annoying though."
Peeking behind the two she studied the battles on the monitors noticing a few matches were already over. Her gaze rested intently on that of her husband and surogate brother.
"I know better than to pick favorites in the bout between those two. "
Returning to the seat she had summoned forth prior she bowed her head in greeting once again.
"Truthfully, I think Unks has more unbridled power, but he is definately beat in terms of improvisational technique. No one situation can have the exact same solution."
Laughing sheepishly she sunk deeper into her seat.
"Seems all my attention is on them. At least someone I want to win gets to in this case."
Blowing some stray emerald strands that had fallen in front of her face changed the subject.
"Whats been your favorite matchs so far?"

Carl thought about Epithany’s proposition for a moment. Most of the matches that had been seen through to a finishing blow had been played out very well. Looking over the matches currently in play, he nodded and thought back to the first round. Raising his hand up again, he pointed over to a screen that had seen little action this round.
“The one with the Red hair; her first match against that bestial woman, it was quite a show.” Carl nodded to himself. As he cast his finger aside, the screen to the right of the one he had been pointing to began to replay her first match. The speed was slowed down dramatically, and after processing the entire match, the system had been able to better anticipate which cameras had the best views and where zooming and replays would fit perfectly.
((Keno, I don’t know if you wanted to govern the abilities of your system or if you would have left them up to Carls design; but as of right now I’m considering the voice and motion activations as part of the system itself (not something Carl is making to happen)
So if that’s cool with you then you two can govern your own replays and stuff with nothing but a hint word or a flick of the wrist haha smart computers are fun blaugh ))
