Athan was already walking towards the palace. Why?

Well, one of the mercenaries back at the camp had told him they saw an explosion coming from the dome there, and where there were explosions, there was action. Even if it was just another robot, Athan didn't really seem to care at this point.

He was running around in circles looking for a person that could have been thousands of miles away. To say that the doubt wasn't starting to nag at him would have been a lie. He was growing impatient.

He needed to vent.

Draug didn't like Chen, didn't like cops at all; which made this entire thing rather odd since he was pretty much a mall cop at this point; but he still hated Chen. So he ignored him and whatever it was he said as it was likely useless information that would only take up valuable space.

Athan on the other hand seemed as though he was heading off for a bit of fun. Fun that Draug could much appreciate. Shadowing him Draug headed towards the palace.

Jogging from the Palace, Chen continues onward toward Happy Restings, chilled breaths releasing from his mouth in the form of fog.

Walking into the central field, Valkyarc notices a broken ship over the destroyed crops and the scent of dead bodies alerts his nose. He speeds up his walk into a jog, jogging east towards the palace.

Some distance away from Valkyarc, Gambion showed up, still slinking around. Unlike the speedily moving man, Gambion was being careful to leave no trail of himself and to not be seen.

Jacknife is also well trained in tracking, sneaking, and leaving no trace himself. His training began due to his younger years being spent in the forest, then was continued at the hands of the Gaian Military after he was recruited as a scout and spy. It is impossible to track Jacknife when he is on foot through any sort of wilderness unless he is leaving some sort of obvious trail.

[Northern Field ->]

Oh ho ho, what the hell was this? A burning wreck in the middle of a field? Awesome.

Well, it just so happened that it was along the way to the south, so he just kept heading in that direction. Maybe thered be people there, y'know, wreckage and s**t. Maybe some corpses too.

What was that? Corn! Awesome, corn was a great place to sneak through. Tall enough to cover even a completely erect person provided that they weren't too tall.

And it was a maze too, sweet.

So he stood there in front of that pile of wreckage with a stupid look on his face, all half scowling and stuff, with that giant metal slab of a weapon resting over his left shoulder.

And well, he'd go search the corpses and kick some piles of burning wood over to see if there was anything worth taking.

A big pile of smoldering metal was what was before Dzen. And what he could find? Well it could be anything, really. Depending on what he could carry. In the belly of the beast so to speak was where it was really at. Gold statues, a few as big as Dzen himself were beginning to melt. There were even gold coins, and jewelry although they were kinda getting melted into giant blobs together, and although the bolts of fabric were expensive, they were heavy and pretty much ruined by the smoke and fire.

In the wind, there was even bills floating in the air, but only a small fraction of them were whole and therefore usable bills. They too had been burned by fire before fluttering up in the winds. But there were also some pistols and other primitive weapons about, but with the fire still going, those would probably have ruined powder from the wetness, or would be going off soon from the heat. Might not be best to stay around for long. The swords that were scattered throughout the ship were still in usable shape as well, and some were even worth a pretty penny, but a person could only hold so much.

Chen runs into the Central Field from Happy Restings, but was too focused on getting back to the Palace to make note that someone was ravishing through the wreckage.

And to the Palace Domes.

Well, so it would appear that there was still quite a bit of loot. But having no means to carry it was kind of pointless, 'cause Tzenidaar didnt run around with a backpack, or a purse, or whatever to carry stuff with.

"I'll be taking this... and this."

He snatched up a melting gold necklace with some jewels in it, but didnt really mind his stony skin heating up too much, and tossed it over his head kind of poorly so it sat around the gorget lining the bottom of his head, and then he smashed a statue with that bit sword and grabbed it head. 'Cause he didnt want the rest of it.

On his way out, he'd grab some rope, or some piece of cloth and tie it around the severed statue head as a means to carry it somewhere other than in his hands.

And off he goes, down through the field once again to the south.

Oh, and he still had that stupid scowl on his face.

Well, uneventful, but he managed to create a sling to carry that severed head in.

Valkyarc sped up his run as he rushed through the central field for a minute or so, moving north towards the north field.

Being in a hurry, Athan was moving pretty quickly across the city up until he hit the fields. Then he started running through mud, and that just caused all sorts of problems. His greaves weren't exactly rubber-soled boots, and they kept slipping on the muddied surface.

Still, nothing was going to stop him from getting to his goal. First he had to make it to the Water Plant to figure out where the suit of armor had went. Assuming anyone was alive, that is. All he had to do was find the tunnel.

In the center of the corn field.

Where everything looked the same.

And all the while, he remained blissfully unaware of a certain KILL YOU coming up behind him.
