Behold! A fruitcake that speaks the human tongue!...

RP by Keilyna and Jinxeh
Key: Keilyna = Dark blue, Jinxeh = Violet

Zuri hungrily eyed the fruitcake that was sitting on the dining table. Well, to be precise, the morsel was sitting right on top of another volume of Fullmetal Alchemist that Kei had left lying around, which in turn was sitting on top of the dining table.
But Zuri didn't really care about that. It was more concerned about the fruitcake itself.
"Food for Zoo-ree," it stated, hopping closer to the fruitcake. Its stalk waved about in anticipation of its next meal. "Wonder where Kei got from. Never told Zoo-ree she got froot-kei. Kei mean." Zuri muttered to itself.

Zuri's companion eyed the fruitcake with disinterest.
"Bubbles better, is what Raindrop think. Froot-cake is look like mud," Raindrop burbled. "Bubbles better, Z'ree should try instead."

And then- the fruitcake... moved!

It jumped backwards with a bound and a crash as it hit the table again.
"N-n-no eating Kinyunya, no-no-no!" it squeaked, terrified.
Its eyes were wide as it regarded the hungry Wethkin.
"No eat Kinyunya," it repeated, shakily. "Eat Kinyunya, you mean!" The fruitcake turned to Raindrop. "And Kinyunya not mud! Kinyunya Spritkin!"
Zuri just... stared.
"Froot-kei's not talk. Why you talk? Zoo-ree hungry. Wants to eat." The little puff bounced forwards again. "Froot-kei 'licious. Zoo-ree's favourite food. Zoo-ree like froot-kei!"
With that, the Wethkin bounced up into the air- and landed right on top of the talking fruitcake.
The Spritkin squeaked in dismay, and squirmed in an attempt to get free.
"Not mud! Not froot-cake! Spritkin! Spritkin not food!" it wailed. "Save Kinyunya! Save Kinyunya!"

Bouncing and fluttering, Raindrop made its way over to investigate the yelling fruitcake.
"Raindrop never saw froot-cake talking before. Froot-cake talk to Raindrop?"

"Save Kinyunya! Save Kinyunya! Save Kinyunya!" the little Spritkin wailed.

Raindrop burbled. "Raindrop PLAY!"
The little puff crashed into the struggling pair and sent them sprawling across the table. Then it proceeded to sit on top of Kinyunya, just as it had seen Zuri do.
"With froot-cake, Raindrop play!" it piped, bouncing up and down on the unfortunate Spritkin.

As Zuri was knocked across the table, it crashed into the volume of Fullmetal Alchemist and knocked it onto the floor. The little puff proceeded to follow the manga volume over the edge, though luckily its fall was- slightly- cushioned by the book.
"That hurt," it protested from the floor. "And Zoo-ree still hungry. Want eat froot-kei. But can share with Raindrop. We have half each!"
"You all meeeeaaan!" Kinyunya wailed. "Sit on Kinyunya, want eat Kinyunya, knock Kinyunya over! Kinyunya not like you."
The little Spritkin continued to wriggle ineffectually underneath Raindrop.

"Fun-fun-fun!" Raindrop burbled, as it was jolted up and down by the Spritkin's movements. "Bouncy fun! Zoo-ree come play too! TRAMPOLINE!"
Raindrop began to bounce on top of the unfortunate fruitcake.

"No-no-no-no-no-no-no! Meeeeaaaan onion and 'drop! Squashing Kinyunya, make Kinyunya flat!"
Zuri fluttered back up to the table and sat down on it, leaving the manga volume all alone on the floor.
"Froot-kei shouldn't talk. And not call Zoo-ree onion! Froot-kei mean!" It pulled a face at Kinyunya. "Don't want to eat you now. You mean. You would taste horrible!"

Meanwhile, Raindrop was happily practicing highly specialised trampoline manouevres on top of its new trampoline, seemingly totally ignorant of the dialogue going on about it.
"Squeeeeeeeeeeee!" it cried in delight. "Trampoleeeeeeeeeeen!"

Kinyunya was feeling partially concussed due to all the heavy things landing on top of its head. So it took a while of such mistreatment before an idea occurred to the Spritkin.
It rolled out from underneath the bouncing Raindrop just as the puff reached the peak of a jump and was somersaulting in mid-air. And then it fled, as fast as it could bounce away from the scene!
Zuri refrained from bothering to chase after the fleeing Spritkin, since it didn't want to eat it any more. So it simply sat there... and turned its attention back to Raindrop.

Thud!
Raindrop hit the table and was catapulted back into the air.
And landed... right on top of Zuri.
The pair both ended up sprawled across the table.
Raindrop sat up and looked at Zuri.
"Raindrop wonders where froot-cake went. Froot-cake GONE!!" it wailed. "Raindrop have no trampoline, now."

"Why you want nasty froot-kei?" Zuri asked. "Zoo-ree doesn't. Zoo-ree go and find nice froot-kei to eat, now." With that, Zuri went to investigate the kitchen.

"Raindrop want play with froot-cake." Raindrop pouted. "Z'ree not want help, then Raindrop go find froot-cake by self."
With that, the little Wethkin flew off to begin its new mission... accompanied by the sounds of voracious munching emanating from the kitchen.

Fruitcake chasey...

RP by Keilyna and Jinxeh
Key: Keilyna = Dark blue, Jinxeh = Violet

"Where froot-cake?" Raindrop demanded from its perch on top of a chair. "Raindrop wants play."
The little Wethkin looked around, but could still see no sign of the errant Spritkin.
"Raindrop want play NOW!" it added for emphasis. "So why froot-cake hide?"

Kinyunya, the 'froot-cake', was hiding under that exact same chair. It was sure this was all a trick- as soon as it ventured out from underneath the chair, it knew that the evil oversized raindrop and the flying vegetable would come and attack and eat it all up! The flying vegetable had said earlier on that it wanted to eat Kinyunya, after all.
Kinyunya not trust 'drop and onion, it thought to itself. 'Drop want play? No! 'Drop want eat. The little Spritkin snorted to itself.

Raindrop suddenly stiffened on top of its perch. It had heard something! A faint, faint noise- but it was sure that it had not been imagining things.
And this faint, faint noise had come from underneath the very chair it was sitting upon.

Raindrop fluttered down to investigate, and peered underneath the chair. However, it was one of those sitting chairs that has no legs- or if it has legs, they are so wide and stubby that they might as well not exist. Thus, the space between the bottom of the chair and the floor was almost negligible. In fact, it was only about the height of a Wethkin puff.
It was dark underneath the chair (as would be expected), so Raindrop peered unsuccessfully into that darkness.
"Froot-cake there?" it trilled.

Kinyunya steadfastly ignored the words of the evil oversized raindrop.
It thinks to lure me with innocent words... but I know it's true nature, it thought. Don't trust it at all!
The Spritkin eyed the looming countenance of the evil oversized raindrop which was peering underneath the chair straight at it, then turned its back on the Wethkin in a huff.

Raindrop was disappointed.
"Where froot-cake then?" it asked the dark space underneath the chair.
Then, it ventured forth into the darkness.

Kinyunya not here, Kinyunya not here!
But saying the words over and over in its head did not help Kinyunya one bit at all. The evil oversized raindrop was still suspicious, and now it was invading the Spritkin's hiding place! It was moving slowly forwards, but Kinyunya realised that it would soon be discovered, anyway... so it shot out the other side of the chair, bouncing away from the scene as fast as it could.

Something big and brown zoomed out from under the chair!
"Froot-cake!" Raindrop burbled delightedly, zooming underneath the chair and out the other side in pursuit of the fleeing Spritkin. "We play! Chasey, then!"
The little water droplet arrowed unerringly towards the fruitcake.

Kinyunya squeaked in fright.
"C...chasey?" it cried, bouncing frantically out of the room and into the corridor. "Kinyunya not want play! Just want to be left alone!"
The frightened fruitcake skittered rapidly down the hallway and disappeared into another room.

Of course, Raindrop followed the little Spritkin.
Down the corridor, into the next room- but where was the fruitcake?
Oh! There! It was hiding inside a box, but that soon changed as Raindrop zoomed towards the offending container.

"Stop chasing Kinyunya!" the Spritkin cried, quickly evacuating its unsuccessful hiding place with an enormous bound. "Go chase your own friends!"
Kinyunya skidded on the floor, narrowly missed by Raindrop, and exited the room again in a flurry of crumbs.
Where to go next?
Aha!
In a neighbouring room, there was a pile of clothes messily dumped on the floor. Kinyunya scuttled inside and quickly buried itself in the pile.
Kinyunya safe now, it thought to itself.

Huh?
"Where froot-cake go now? Too fast for Raindrop," the little Wethkin mourned, peeking out into the corridor.
It looked down.
"Crumb-trail!" it exclaimed exultantly, following the aforementioned trail...
To a pile of clothes in the middle of another room.
"Can't escape Raindrop now!" it exclaimed gleefully, literally dropping out of the air onto the pile of clothes.

Thud!
"Owowowowowowow!" the pile of clothes yelled, wriggling and squirming. "Get off Kinyunya, get off Kinyunya!!"
But there was no escape.
Kinyunya was pinned down flat.

"Got you!" Raindrop burbled happily, bouncing up and down on its new acquisition. "Now you have to come and swim in Raindrop's pool."
The puff tightly grabbed hold of the fruitcake, and the protesting Spritkin was dragged off to its 'lair'...

...And, far away, in the kitchen, Zuri was happily munching upon a normal fruitcake, totally oblivious to the yelling, struggling and shrieking Spritkin's plight as it was dragged off to its DOOM.

(Er, well, actually... not quite- Kinyunya still survived to see another day, but, as expected, tried to keep out of Raindrop and Zuri's way as much as possible after that incident.)

A trip to the shopping centre...

"Let's go shopping!" Kei announced brightly to Zuri, her little Wethkin puff, one cloudy but not-rainy morning.
"Sh... shopping?" Zuri asked. "Zoo-ree not sure..."
"Let's go, then!" Kei grabbed her puff by the stalk and dragged the struggling Wethkin out the door with her.
"But... but..."
But it was too late for any protesting, for the next thing Zuri knew, it was on a bus with its guardian and on the way to a large shopping centre somewhere south from the Isle of Gambino.

User Image

And then, they were walking through the automatic sliding doors of the shopping centre. (Well, to be more precise, Kei was doing all the walking and Zuri was doing all the riding on Kei's shoulder and looking grumpy and annoyed.)
"Now, where to first?" Kei asked herself aloud.
"Home," Zuri muttered. "Zoo-ree go home."
"No, no, no, you can't go home yet!" Kei cried. "We only just got here!"
Meanwhile, some passers-by looked askance at the girl who seemed to be talking to herself, and decided that she was crazy.
Kei suddenly noticed the odd looks that people were giving her, and stopped talking.
"Let's go to the DVD shop first, then!" she whispered to Zuri.
"Home."
Kei gave up on replying, and started walking in the direction of the DVD shop anyway.

Once they reached the shop, Kei wandered in and headed unerringly in the direction of-
The anime DVDs.
She paused as she reached the shelf with all the anime on it, and started to look at all the pretty pictures. (And the blurb-ish things as well, of course!)

One hour later...

"Is there anything in particular that you're looking for?"
"Huh?" Kei looked up and around, from admiring a DVD of Chrno Crusade and wishing that they had the box set out.
Then, she noticed that a shop assistant was standing nearby, regarding her with some bemusement.
"Oh! Sorry! Er... not really, I was just looking," she replied.
Then, she remembered Zuri.
The Wethkin was not on her shoulder any more.
In fact, the Wethkin was nowhere in sight.
Kei's eyes widened in shock.
"ZURI!" she cried. "Where are you?"
Kei dashed off to check all around the shop to see if her Wethkin was still there, whilst leaving the confused shop assistant wondering if she'd ever heard of an anime called 'Zuri' before...

User Image

Meanwhile, Zuri was zooming through the shopping centre at the speed of- well, an onion- looking for the exit.
"Zoo-ree want home," it muttered to itself, nearly crashing into someone's shopping bags as it whizzed past.
The equinox Wethkin flew upwards, and then-
It saw it!
An ice cream shop!
"Ice cream for Zoo-reeeeee!" the little puff exclaimed delightedly, arrowing through the air towards the tempting dessert.

THUD!

Zuri hit something and then tumbled to the floor and thudded again, before being bounced back up into the air.
"Aiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeee!" it screeched wildly at its uncontrolled flight.
And then it was travelling straight back down again, to land with a loud thump, perilously close to a rubbish bin.
"...Ouch. Zoo-ree hurt. What happen to Zoo-ree?" the puff moaned miserably.
It quickly flew back into the air as it was almost tripped over by a large, fluffy ug-boot that someone was wearing in a shopping centre?! (Fashion, these days...)
Safely in the air again, Zuri eyed the rows of open ice cream in the shop again. Warily, it wondered if there was some sort of magical protection around it just to ward off hungry Wethkin like itself.
"Zoo-ree want ice cream," it complained sullenly.

User Image

Zuri was not in the DVD shop. Or at least, if it was, it was hiding too cleverly for Kei to notice it. But since there was no zooming response of flying Wethkin to Kei's frantic cries, Kei decided that she would just have to search the whole of the shopping centre for her Wethkin, instead. She groaned at the thought of that task.
"Are you alright, miss?" It was the shop assistant, again.
"No, I'm not!" Kei cried, then dashed out of the DVD shop and into the main area of the shopping centre.

Kei noticed an empty wooden bench in the centre of the walking area and ran across to it. Then, she proceeded to leap on top of it and look from her vantage point out and around the shopping centre, looking for any sign of her Wethkin.
But no flying onion was there to be seen.
Kei sighed.
"Zuri, where are you?" she cried, whilst attracting more puzzled stares.

Then, she saw it!

"The manga shop!" she exclaimed, jumping down from the bench and dashing off through the crowds.

User Image

Zuri decided that it would try flying towards the ice cream again, but at a slower pace.
1... 2... 3... Go!
The Wethkin fluttered over towards the tempting rows of ice cream again.
Thud.
"Owowow!" it cried as it fell to the floor again.
"Mean people," it muttered. "Not let Zoo-ree have ice cream."
The Wethkin fluttered back up into the air-

Then, it saw her!

A little girl in a dainty pink frock, carrying a large, delicious-looking ice cream cone!
"Ice creeeeeeeeeam!" Zuri chittered gleefully, flying swiftly towards its target.
The girl looked up, as though she thought she had heard a faint sound. She thought she saw- for a brief second, at least- a flying onion, but quickly dismissed that thought as the unlikely hallucination faded from view. But though invisible once again to her senses, the Wethkin flew closer and closer towards the unsuspecting girl's ice cream...

Grab!

Zuri felt something clutch its stalk and whirl it around.
It found itself face to face with...

"Kei!" it chittered, sounding very miffed. "Zoo-ree want ICE CREAM!"
"Well... I'll get you some if you promise to be good and not run off again like that," Kei replied. "You shouldn't steal other people's food, though, Zuri. It's not very nice, you know! You wouldn't like it if you had this large piece of yummy fruitcake and someone else suddenly came along and grabbed it and ate it before you could, would you?"
Zuri muttered to itself.
"Zoo-ree be good, then. But only for today," it added.
Kei sighed.
"Alright, then," she said, heading over to the ice cream shop.
She looked at all the different varieties of ice cream on display, as Zuri fluttered over to perch on her shoulder again.
"What flavour would you like? The mint one looks quite nice," she added, poking at the glass in front of the ice cream to show her Wethkin which ice cream she was talking about.
Zuri looked on with wide eyes as Kei's finger was 'magically' repelled by some invisible force.
"Why can't touch ice cream?" it asked. "Zoo-ree want ice cream but invisible thing make Zoo-ree go flying." The Wethkin pouted.
"Oh!" Kei thought for a moment. "It's to stop people from touching or stealing the ice cream and doing things they shouldn't be doing to it. Which is why you shouldn't try and steal other people's food!"
"What is it?"
Kei eyed the glass.
"It's a special barrier," she said at last. "So only people who pay for ice cream can have it." The girl decided not to mention to her puff that it could probably get at the ice cream by going around the other side of the counter, instead.
"Mean barrier," Zuri accused it. "Make Zoo-ree hurt."
"What flavour would you like, Zuri?" Kei repeated. "And how many scoops do you want?"
"Zoo-ree want rainbow ice cream," the Wethkin replied. "Pretty. And want ten scoops!"
Kei's eyes flew wide open.
"TEN?!" she exclaimed. "That's insane! Each scoop is bigger than you are, Zuri! Perhaps I'll just get you one scoop then, otherwise you might explode."
"Whatever," Zuri muttered. "Just want ice cream."
Kei then proceeded to buy the ice cream, and as soon as she picked up the cone, Zuri was there and greedily slurping up the sweet confection.
"We'll go to the manga shop now," Kei announced, now that her puff had something to occupy itself with. "Let's go!"
And so, they did.

Strawberries and sand...

Part 1 of an RP by Keilyna and shadowicedragon1
Key: Keilyna = Dark blue, shadowicedragon1 = Orange

The beach was deserted.
Well, that is, deserted, except for a large, lone figure sitting on the sand. And a small, lone figure, flitting about that large, lone figure on the sand.
The large, lone figure was actually a rather small girl, known to most as Keilyna.
The small, lone figure was not a girl, nor any recognisable gender.
It was an onion.
A flying onion, to be exact.
Though it would have protested at length to such a description of itself, for it was really just an onion-shaped Wethkin called Zuri.
Zuri settled down on the sand, eyeing the hole that its guardian was digging in the aforementioned medium.
"What that for?" it demanded.
"It's a hole," Keilyna replied. "Can't you see that?"
"Zoo-ree ask what that for, not what that is."
"I don't know."
"Then why you dig?"
"...Because... because... I want to dig it?" Keilyna ventured, scooping out another handful of sand and dumping it aside. Some of the flying sand hit Zuri by 'accident'.
Zuri chittered indignantly. "Kei is mean. Why no one else is here?"
"...I don't know."
"Kei not know lots of things."
"Thanks," Kei muttered. "But maybe because it's a cold and windy day and most people don't seem to like going to the beach when its cold and windy."
"But Kei does? Kei strange."
"Hey!" Kei protested. "I think it's Zuri that's mean, not Kei! I'm just here because... because..."
"Because Kei want to dig holes in sand."
"Wha- No! That's not it at all! I'm digging this hole because I'm waiting for Shadow to come! With her Wethkin," Kei added. "I don't think you've met it before, have you? It's name is Ichigo. Means 'strawberry' in Japanese, I think. You'd better be nice to Ichigo," she warned, scooping out yet another handful of sand from her hole.

Meanwhile Shadow was gazing desperately at the map she held in her hands, occasionally looking up and around to try and find a landmark she could recognise. She'd reached the beach after a few hours of aimless wandering, but to find the place where Kei was waiting for her would take actual navigation and map-reading, something that Shadow (and consequentially, Ichigo, since Shadow was its only teacher) was rather bad at.

Ichigo was buried in her hair, making sad, meeping sounds and a frequent sniffle. Shadow trudged on, shuffling her feet into the sand and looking despondently at the now creased and tattered map. Ichigo meeped in protest as a particularly violent gust of wind buffeted it from its place, and Shadow lost all patience.

She stopped, dropped the map in her her pocket and cupping her hands round her mouth yelled as loud as she could:

"KEEEEEEEEEIIIIIII! ARE YOU OUTTTT HEEEERRRREEEE!"

Kei looked up from her hole-digging.
"Did I just hear something strange?" she asked her Wethkin. "It sounded like someone blowing their nose, I think!"
Zuri snorted in disgust.
"That sound like someone calling you," it said. "They say 'Kei'. Probably saying that Kei is mean. Zoo-ree thinks so, too."
"Why do you persist in saying that I am mean?" Kei asked, exasperated. "I'm NOT!"
"Kei is mean."
Kei hmmphed, and stood up.
"You said that you heard a voice? Maybe this place is haunted. Or maybe it's your hearing that's bad. "I'm positive that there's a ghost out here blowing its nose!"
Kei fumbled around in her pocket, then came up with a rather crumpled, but clean, tissue. She waved it about enthusiastically in the air.
"GHOOOOOOOOSTIEEEEEEE! Do not fret! For I have a tissue for yooooooouuuuuu!"

Shadow sulked. Ichigo sulked. The two were sulking.
So it was not very suprising that neither of them heard anything until the word 'tissue' floated over the breeze.

Shadow eyed Ichigo. "Did you hear that?"
Ichigo shrugged as best as it could, and having no other options, the two set off to walk across the beach when Ichigo meeped suddenly, zooming from its perch by Shadow's shoulder to wave frantically in front of its owner's face.
"What is it Ichi-aaakk!" the 'akkk' being the noise Shadow made as she tumbled down a hole right in front of their destination.

Kei sulked. Zuri sulked. And so, they were all sulking. But for different reasons, of course! Kei was upset because the ghost-blowing-its-nose had not appeared to take her tissue. Zuri, on the other hand, was upset because it didn't want to meet the ghost-blowing-its-nose, and it didn't want to stay in a place where the ghost could find them.
But in the end, the ghost never showed up.
Something else did.
In other words, a shoe.

Kei blinked as a shoe whizzed past her vision and thunked into the hole straight in front of her.
"Eh?" she said, looking up. "Ghosts don't go 'thunk' or wear shoes... do they? Ghosts- ...Oh!"
It took a few moments for the visual information to be processed by Kei's confused brain.
"Oh... Shadow! That's you, isn't it? Or are you the ghost-blowing-its-nose in disguise? I can't tell, you see. Ghosts are very clever and devious creatures, you know!" Kei thought for a moment. "But. I don't think you could be the ghost-blowing-its-nose because you don't seem to want my tissue. Are you a different sort of ghost, then?"

Zuri chittered in frustration at its owner's strangeness.
"Kei mean," it muttered under its breath.
Then it noticed something!
A flying piece of fruit!
The flying-vegetable-Zuri zoomed enthusiastically into the air to greet the new arrival.
"Hellohellohello!" it chittered excitedly. "Zoo-ree here! Who you?"

Ichigo mreeped and nearly fell out of the air. First its owner disappeared from before its eyes, then a strange-onion-like-thing appeared from no-where!

It eyed the new arrival suspiciously and meeped again, but this time in a more curious way. Was that...a Wethkin? Like itself? "Mree?" Ichigo responded, then looked around for Shadow to translate...when it realised that Shadow was still down the hole.

"Mreeeee! Eeeee!" Ichigo darted down frantically, and pulled at the tiny lock of purple that was still showing. "Mreeeeeeeaa!"

Shadow gave a rather muffled reply, not particularly liking her hair being pulled on. In fact, she was rather wondering if she wasn't suffering some sort of concussion, she thought could hear someone that sounded suspiciously like Kei babbling on about ghosts in the background. And she definitely wasn't a ghost. Yet.

"Keeeii?" She mumbled, trying not to get sand in her mouth. "Keeeiiiiiii?"

Kei finally realised that she'd have to get the ghost (or Shadow, or whatever it was) out of her hole before she could get a proper reply from it. Suddenly noticing a flying strawberry pulling at Shadow's hair, Kei blinked.
"Are you a Wethkin, too?" she asked. "Or are you another ghost pretending to be a Wethkin? Ghosts are tricky creatures, you know," she added to herself.
Kei decided to follow the ghost-strawberry's example anyway, and grabbed hold of Shadow's hair as well. After all, it was the easiest part of her to reach!

Yank!

Kei pulled hard on the tuft of hair in her hands.
"Don't worry, I'll get you out!" she cried.

Yank!

Zuri rolled its eyes, and ignored its guardian. It turned its attention back to the mreeping strawberry.
"Kei said Shadow had strawberry-Ichigo-Wethkin!" it chittered. "Looks like you! You Ichigo? Or ghost?" it added.

"Iiichiigo." Ichigo repeated, then looked mildly suprised that the words had come out of its own mouth. "No ghost. Ichigo." It eyed Zuri again. "You ghost?"

Shadow gave an unhappy eeek as more hair-tugging ensued. She smooshed herself against the side of the hole and carefully eased a hand up until it was close to the top of the hole. Waggling her fingers to gain Kei's attention, she gave a muffled, "Help me, please! Keeeeiiiii?"

Ichigo stared at the two, then turned back to Zuri. "Keeeeeiiiiii ghost?" It added hopefully.

Zuri was indignant. "Zoo-ree not ghost! Zoo-ree a Wethkin! Just like Ichigo!" it protested. "Kei not ghost, either! Kei mean. Zoo-ree not think there ghosts here. Unless purple Shadow-thing?"

Kei yelped as five fingers mysteriously materialised from the hole and started to wriggle about. She promptly let go of Shadow's hair as she jumped backwards in startlement.
"Eeeeeep!" she eeped, eyeing the 'ghostly' hand with some trepidation.
Then...
Kei leapt forwards again, grabbed the hand, and pulled!
"Ghost rescue!" she cried gleefully, totally reversing her attitude.

Shadow wooshed out of the hole, tumbling over Kei to land flat on the sand with a suprised 'mmff'. Ichigo fluttered round her for a few seconds, meeping happily, before zooming back to Zuri.

"No...Shadow no ghost." Ichigo said, slightly uncertainly. "Shadow no Wethkin either...Shadow, Shadow? Meee-aan?"

As Shadow flew out of the hole, momentum caused Kei to slide forwards... almost into the hole, but not quite!
"Eeeeep!"
The girl ended up landing on her backside in the sand, legs dangling perilously over the hole's edge.
She looked back over at Shadow.
"Are you alright?" she asked. "There wasn't any monster at the bottom of the hole that ate all your toes, or something?"

"Shadow look like person," Zuri commented. "Shadow mean like Kei? Kei is mean."

"Hey!" Kei protested, as some of the puffs' conversation suddenly registered in her brain. "I'm not mean! Jinxeh's mean!"

"Meeeaan?" Ichigo stared at Zuri as though the puff had grown another head then, turned to stare suspiciously at Shadow. "You mean?"

Shadow was too busy dusting herself down and lamenting at the amount of sand stuck throughout her clothing to really understand what Ichigo was saying. "Mean what?"
Suddenly realising Kei was speaking to her, the strawberry-Wethkin owner looked up and grinned. "Eh...sorry about that. And no, there wasn't. At least I hope not," she added, staring worriedly at her feet as though she had only just realised they were there.

Ichigo blinked at Shadow. "Nyeeeep?" It said, confused.

"That's good then," Kei said, somewhat absent-mindedly.
Then...
"You're not a ghost!" she proclaimed suddenly, jumping up (and nearly falling into the hole again). "You're Shadow!" She looked out at the sea, where big waves and evil-looking white crests were crashing wildly against everything in sight. "What do you think we should do, today?" she asked. "We could... er... go swimming?" Kei eyed the water, which looked veeery cold, and shuddered. "Or... we could go surfing!" Nevermind the fact that she had absolutely no idea how to do so. "Or... we could..." The girl paused to think for a moment.

"Play in sand!"
A small shower of sand suddenly rained down upon Kei's head.
"Eeep!" Kei cried, eyes watering and blinking furiously as some specks fell into them. "Zuri!"
The little puff giggle-chittered and quickly zoomed out of reach.
"Nyeeeeeeep!" it nyeeeped, echoing Ichigo.
Zuri blinked, and was silent for a moment.
"What's a 'nyeeeeep'?" it asked suddenly. "Or a 'mreeeep'?"
The Wethkin wondered why the strawberry liked to make so many different strange, unintelligible sounds.

Ichigo glared suspiciously at Zuri. "Mreeep." It said sullenly, convinced the other puff was making fun of it. "Mreeeeenyeeep!" The puff watched Zuri tip sand over Kei and decided that whether or not Zuri was being rude was irrelevant: pouring sand over the evil owners looked like a fun thing to do!
It flew down and gathered some sand together in order to launch its first attack.

Shadow also eyed the sea nervously. "Well...I didn't bring anything to change into for swimming." She said quickly. "So I guess playing in the sand is fine...Ichigo, meet Zur- Ichigo?" Shadow looked round for her puff, but couldn't spy the little strawberry anywhere, until a triumphant "mreeep!" heralded the fall of a pile of sand onto an unsuspecting Shadow.

"Kei, what's a Mreeeeeep?" Zuri insisted, since Ichigo didn't seem to want to answer.
Kei just glared at her Wethkin, bits of sand still stuck in her hair.
Zuri hmmphed in annoyance, and scooped up another two leaf-fuls of sand with the tip of its stalk.
"Kei tell Zoo-ree NOW or more sand for Kei!" it threatened.
"Hey!" Kei protested. "That's blackmail! Not to mention... I don't know what Mreeep is! Truly!" she cried, backing away from her puff. "Shadow, do you know what a Mreeeep is?" she asked hurriedly, eyeing the advance of her puff warily.

Uh..." In truth, Shadow had absolutely no idea, but she felt she -should- know...it was her Wethkin after all, wasn't it? "It means, uh, "May shiny fortune rule over you and the cookies be with you."," She translated hurriedly. It seemed a perfectly reasonable thing to say.
Ichigo stared at Shadow in surprise. "Meyeep?" It said, before zooming back towards the sand.
"Oh no you don't!" Shadow dived for her Wethkin and half-tackled, half-smothered it against the beach floor. "No more sand bombs! Or else...or else...just, no more!"

Zuri paused. Then...
"Shadow babble nonsense!" it cried, changing direction and zooming towards Shadow instead.
Kei sighed in relief. Personally, she thought it was a perfectly reasonable thing for Shadow to have said, but she didn't want her Wethkin to reverse its direction and sand-bomb her yet again. So, she kept quiet, and sat back down on the sand (so she would make a smaller target).
"Nice day, isn't it?" she asked Shadow cheerfully, looking out at the rather ominous-looking horizon.

Horrified that Kei was still letting her sand-bombing-Wethkin fly freely around, Shadow almost didn't hear what Kei had said. Trying to keep a hold of a frantically meeping and wriggling Ichigo as well as avoid a scary floating Zuri and carry out a conversation was pretty much beyond her abilities.
"I don't babble nonsense!" She protested belatedly, then, taking a nervous look at the sky around; "Uh, well...yes." She added weakly, with a sudden "Oww!" as Ichigo broke free and zoomed, chittering, to float behind Kei's head.

"Eeeeeep!" Zuri swerved to avoid crashing into Ichigo, and ended up spilling its load of sand harmlessly back onto the ground.
Then, it promptly (and entirely by accident, too!) crashed straight into Shadow's head.
"Eeeeeeep!" Zuri eeeped again.

"I'm glad you agree with me!" Kei replied cheerfully, seemingly totally ignorant of Shadow's plight. "And... oh! Hello, Ichigo!" she added, turning her head to peer at the floating strawberry. "Ichigo wo taberu koto ga amari suki janai desu. Dakara, ichigo wa anzen desu!" Kei suddenly reverted to Japanese-mode, telling the Wethkin that she didn't like eating strawberries, so it was safe.

Ichigo took a moment to stare at the human it was about to attack. What was this weird, strange language it spoke? It soundd like Shadow when she blabbled about Bleach. Feeling rather scared, and hoping that Kei wouldn't go off on a Shadow-Bleach-tangent, it gathered up as much sand as it could carry. "Nuuu Bleaaachhu!" It cried, launching it's sand projectile towards Kei's mouth.

Shadow promptly fellover, fall cushioned only by the build up of sand around her feet. "Saaaveee me!!" She yelped, as Zuri's shadow fell over her. Sure it was some big scary monster like thing, she curled into a ball, trying to make herself look as small as possible.

Kei's mouth flew wide open in shock as the sand flew towards her face.
And landed squarely inside her mouth.
Her mouth snapped shut.
Her eyes flew wide open.
"Bleeeaaargggch!" she cried, turning around and coughing up sand.

Zuri tumbled onto the ground next to the yelping Shadow, then regained its balance and fluttered back into the air. It flew over to Ichigo, floating in the air next to the strawberry.
"Ichigo play with Zoo-ree?" it chittered. "No fun playing with Kei. Kei mean."

Ichigo stared wide-eyed at Kei, sure that humans weren't -supposed- to make those noises. Fearing that maybe it'd killed Kei, Ichigo hurriedly meeped an affirmative to Zuri and trailed after the other puff, rather at loss and feeling vaguely shy.

Encounter with an Elder...

Part 1 of an RP by Keilyna, Jinxeh and thymal_yorlii
Key: Keilyna = Dark red, Jinxeh = Violet, thymal_yorlii = Dark blue

Jinx wanna RP with Thymal.

o.O

Raindrop: *flutters anxiously* Jinx put in brackets now-now!!! Thymal scare-reeeeeeeeee!

Zuri crashes into Raindrop and tries to steer it away from Jinxeh.
"Leave Jinx 'lone! We go plaaaay!!"

Raindrop's wings fluttered excitedly. "Play-fun!" it trilled. "What we play? Blowing bubbles at Kei?" It zoomed around Zuri in a dizzying swirl of colour.

Zuri floated in the air for a moment, pondering Raindrop's suggestion.

Then...

"Yesyesyes! We ATTACK Kei!" it cried, zooming toward its unfortunate guardian in a shower of fiery-coloured leaves.

"Uh, oh..." Seeing the two Wethkin coming, Kei hid behind Jinxeh.

Thymal had just gotten up from a breif nap on his desk top in the g in a sort of agarden. After checking the mist egg carefully he wrapped a petal around the egg in sort of nest like manner. He then mofved up and out of the garden and into the shop. Floating around he tried to see if Pika had managed to stir up some intrest in this poor egg as well as the abandoned puff.

Hearing a shriek of protest from another room THymal phased into fog and drifted towards the area. He spotting two wethkin, and two humans. Ah so there were people around. Unfortunately some of those people were children. Trying to figure out if he should brave this encounter his decision was made up for him as he accidentally drifted into a potted plant and got tangeled. He had semi phased back into solidness through his sudden distraction of children. The branches moved fairly violently as he in an annoyed tone finally managed to get out. But by this time anyone would of spotting the dark purple skin toned the magical runes that adorned his entire body glowed a ghostly blue.

Splash!
Jinxeh received a faceful of wethkin droplet and bubbles. She winced. "Raindrop...." But before she could quite recover, it was followed by a-
Thunk!
As Zuri followed suit and ended up crashing into her nose.
"Ow! Watch where you're going, will you?" she said irritably to the two wethkin puffs. She made a grab at the nearest wethkin, but gleefully (and perhaps with a touch of guiltiness, Raindrop zoomed out of range, and ducked for cover behind the potted plant it had spied earlier. What a lovely place to hide, it thought, only to be brought up short with a squeal as it spied a much bigger wethkin - an adult! - looming out of the plants.

"Z'ree! Help!!" it trilled, wings beating frantically, as it ducked and wove, trying to escape from the view of the scarily glowing wethkin elder.

Jinxeh blinked twice as she saw this new figure. This was the first time she had ever been granted the privilege of meeting a wethkin elder - as she assumed this one to be - and she thought the occasion called for some politeness. "Good morning, sir. Sorry about Raindrop. It gets quite excited, sometimes..." And then in an undertone, "Pssst! Raindrop, behave! Or you won't be getting anymore raspberry bubblebath!"

Raindrop's little wings drooped sadly, but that did not stop it from bouncing about anxiously in the air. It was clearly quite frightened of the glowing Thymal.

"Owowowowow!" Zuri shrieked in Jinxeh's ear. (It had bounced off Jinxeh's nose in a parabolic arc.)

Kei quickly removed herself from behind Jinxeh and flattened herself behind the door, hoping that the Wethkin had not spotted her. She was in luck, for at that moment, Raindrop cried for help, and off Zuri zoomed. Kei heaved a sigh of relief- but then, another commotion started! The girl peeped cautiously out from behind the door.

A wide-eyed Zuri was hovering in front of Raindrop, chittering 'Biiiiiig Wethkin!' over and over again- though whether in fear or delight, Kei could not tell. In her opinion, the 'Biiiig Wethkin' looked rather scary... but as long as it kept Zuri from attacking her, she didn't mind.

"Biiiig Wethkin tell name?" Zuri asked Thymal, bobbing up and down in the air. Then, it zoomed around in a circle about the frightened Raindrop and returned to its original position, wings hovering madly. Kei concluded that, as usual, Zuri was just excited. She decided to wait behind the door and see what eventuated next.

The response he recieved an an unexpected one, the puffs/children seemed to be frightened of him as well as the one of the humans. HE wasn't that imposing was he? He briefly looked down at himself and realized that his markings bore a more ghoulish image than he had noticed before. Toning down the glowing runes, he solidified and took a deep breath.

One of the humans had politely asked of him his name. A bit miffed he knew that this was probably the first couple of times he had bothered even coming into the shop to 'mingle' he had hoped his name would of circulated around some.

He gave a broad sweeping bow towards the human girl, noticing out of the corner of his eye the other human was hiding behind a door.
Hearing the request of one of the wethkin puffs he looked up and tried to smile. Arg children....they always irked him so.

"My name is Thymal Yorlii....or " he gave each wethkin a serious glance. "Elder Yorlii to those who will come and study the ways of magic." he pointed to each wethkin in the room, though his actions seem to speak of doom rather than something pleasant to learn.

"I apologize for startling you all, but i heard shreiks and cme to make sure no one was hurt."

When the elder bowed, Jinxeh paused, not really sure if she was supposed to bow, curtsey (although shaking hands did seem to be out of the question). So she settled for what she thought was the safe thing, a deep nod of the head in return.

"Pleased to meet you, Elder Yorlii," she said, since just calling such a one just Thymal, or Yorlii, or Thymal Yorlii seemed to her to be a little rude. "I'm Jinxeh, and this is my sister Keilyna-" A look was sent to the girl behind the door, as though to say, 'You'd better come out.' And these little ones are Raindrop and Zuri. Thank you for your concern, but I think we're alright here, really. Sorry to have disturbed you." She gave her best rendition of a polite and neutral smile, since she wasn't yet sure what to make of the adult wethkin.

Raindrop had bug-eyes at that moment. /Those who will come and study the ways of magic..../ Was the biiiiiig wethkin going to be the one teaching them? Its wings fluttered anxiously, and it bounced up and down in the air in agitation. Until it was disturbed by Jinxeh.

"Say good morning, Raindrop," Jinxeh admonished, as she was determined the wethkin should display at least some manners when faced with an elder of its kind. Really, she thought to herself, she and Kei had let the wethkin go undisciplined for a while.

Raindrop's wings beat faster. "Good morning, biiiiig wethkin!" it squeaked without thinking.

Zuri's eyes were as wide as Raindrop's at Thymal's pronouncement.
"Eller... yor...eee...? Elleryoree have long, strange name! Elleryoree want to come play with Raindrop and Zoo-ree? No one hurts, all have FUN!"
The little Wethkin bounced up and down in excitement. It had never seen another Wethkin so 'biiig' and so... purple... before!

Kei suddenly leaped out from behind the door.
"All have FUN?!" she cried at Zuri in protest. "Attacking Kei is not fun at all! Why don't you go and attack Jinxeh, or something?"
Some faint vestige of politeness suddenly registered (rather belatedly) in Kei's brain, and she turned to Thymal.
"Oops, sorry... er... Hello!" she said brightly. "It's nice to meet you!"

Thymal looked to the wethkin named Zuri and gave it a bemused stare. Play? He had learned a long time ago he didn't usually play nicely. Or fair. That was why he refrianed from being close to children at all. They just rubbed him the wrong way. As to the explosion coming from Kei he gave it but a passing note, nodding his head to the gaurdian and then deciding it was perhaps time to give these wethkin's an their 'parents' a test.

But first the moments of introductions needed to be concluded. "Humans are permited to call me Yorlii, though i expect from the younger wethkin." he gave all the wethkin who were near a stern glower. " to call me Elder Yorlii or just Elder if they cannot remember my name." He placed his arms behind his back sticking out his chest as if he was ready to strut around like a peacock.

"As to a game, no little wehtkin. At least not a game you know. HOw about we play something I know. I want to see your strengths currently...if i am to at least oversee your education.... i need to know how developed yours skills are." he looked to each wethkin and then to the gaurdians.

"You of course can partake, if to encourage the little ones or see how well you have payed attention to your wethkins ways and skills. This is not only a test for the younglings but for you. To see how well you have encouraged your wethkin to expand their abilities." he stopped and then his form shimmered and then split into two, another shudder had the two Thymal's split into four. All moved and reacted individually and only one casually explained.

"I am a master of illusion." the one of the fair right explained... The second one from the left continued..."thus i can make myself to appear multiplied..." The furthest left finished. "Thus you have to sense which one of us is the real Elder Yorlii.."

He didn't particularly think any of them would be able to do this simple task. It took a lot of focus and magical perception to even figure out where his magic was coming from and since he was trying to spread out his magic source amoungst all three imitations it would be very difficult for any of them to figure it out purely on a magically level. He would try to even the playing field a bit.

"You may ask me any question, if you think this may help or hinder your answer. You will get two guesses only though...and can only ask three questions each. ANd i mean each WETHKIN can ask the questions. Gaurdians may help by making suggestions but that is all..." he said as the one second fromt he right crossed his arms. The rest seemed to each be individually looking at each wethkin and then gaurdian. It left a very uncomfertable aura in the room.

A test of skills...

Part 2 of an RP by Keilyna, Jinxeh, thymal_yorlii, Pika-Bunny and Silver Angel
Key: Keilyna = Dark red, Jinxeh = Violet, thymal_yorlii = Dark blue, Pika-Bunny = Hot pink, Silver Angel = Gray

Dark, cold, peaceful humming. Noctryn dozed within the deepfreeze. Voices. Squeaking voices. And a deeper voice. Noctryn began to stir atop the frozen peas. Stretching up with a deep yawn the young wethkin floated upright and through the freezer door. 'What is all this ruckus,' she thought as she floated towards the door into the shoppe front.

"...Thus you have to sense which one of us is the real Elder Yorlii," said a tall adult wethkin. One of four to be precise.

She entered the front just in time to see him directing the wethkin puffs and their guardians into an exercise. Floating closer, she wondered if she was expected to take part in this!

"I hope I'm not interupting. If you don't mind, I'd like to watch Elder Yorlii." She smiled innocently. Inwardly she was smirking at the chance to see these two bubble-headed puffs get quized.

"I like this game!" Kei exclaimed happily into the silence, totally oblivious to the tension that had suddenly invaded the room. "Mind games are much better than attacking games!"

Zuri's eyes had widened in surprise as the Elder suddenly split into four. Its friends never tried to play games as weird as this with it! But...
"Elleryoree have strange games," it chittered. "But... Zoo-ree play! Zoo-ree ask a question... Zoo-ree ask..." The Wethkin's voice trailed off for a moment as it looked at all four Yorlii's.
Zuri suddenly brightened.
"Zoo-ree ask... which is real Elleryoree?" it cried excitedly.
Then it suddenly bobbed up and down in excitement, and spun around in the air to face the newcomer's direction.
"More purple Wethkin!" was its delighted cry. "What this Wethkin name?"

Indeed, one of the wethkin was a bubble-headed wethkin, being a being of rain (and rather fond of bubbles!) But unlike Zuri, who seemed to act first and think later, Raindrop at least thought before saying anything in front of the big (and scary!) wethkin. It floated up and down on the wind, wings shimmering as they beat to keep it aloft. The challenge had calmed it down a little, made it less hyperactive and more prone to thought.

It looked at all four wethkin. Then looked at Jinxeh for support.

The girl had been shooting vaguely incredulous looks at her sister, but now she nodded slightly to Raindrop, and studied the four Yorlii's (although something the adult wethkin had said made her wince a little inside. How well they had paid attention to, and encouraged their wethkin's abilities? Er.... what was that, again?)

"Raindrop? Why don't you think watery thoughts," she said after a moment. She thought it sounded like a good and knowledgeable thing to say, although quite frankly, she had no idea what it was supposed to mean.

But Raindrop obediently thought watery thoughts. "Wet!" it trilled at last. "Which El'er Yorlii gets wet?" It looked around for bubbles to splash at the big wethkin to see which one would... and then it was disturbed by the purple child wethkin making an appearance. Bug-eyes again... so many new wethkin!

One of the four Thymal's turned to face the new wethkin who had entered the room. Her named echoed in his thoughts as it registered that this wthkin was taken care by the owner of the shop.

"You may watch, but i would much rather you join in. You along with the rest need to have your skills evalutated." The one Thymal asnwered as he then backed up a bit along with the rest fallowing in suit.

One of the other Thymals turned to face the young Zuri in reponse to its question. It waved a finger at the puff and then gave a sigh. "Such a question I should of expected it. Well I must answer but in a most technically way. The four you see before are but illusion brought by refractions of light. Much like when you see a rainbow when it rains while sunny out. Since I am made of fog I can use my abilities to spread out water molecules and use light to cast my image. It takes pure magic to make each image act independantly on its own. A serious mental effort, so in response technically all four are apart of me but only ONE is controlling this endever." He said with a wave of his hand looking a bit annoyed he was being asked such a simple question. He at least hoped he was educating the young puff. "Your next question should be choosen caefully young one." he said another giving the puff a exceptional glare.

But it seemed his words were lost as the young Zuri suddenly turned about and started to talk to Noctryn. One of the four Thyaml's shook his head looking like he was developing a headache.

Turning to the raindrop wethkin he observed wiht a inward smile that this Gaurdian was trying to encourage her puff as best she could. When Raindrop asked its question he tilted his head to the side before answering.

"Technically being a wethkin of fog, I am always wet. My body is made mainly of water molecules which allow me to dissapate and reappear. So in answer all four will get wet since they are merly made of water to begin with."

He wondered breifly if Noctryn would ask a question. The bases of guessing which one was real was simple enough. Since this took concentration, he only had to keep thinking about it.

Silver Angel entered through the door, a little bewildered. Since receiving her little Spritkin, she had been putting off coming by to see the shop. During the day, she usually kept it in an empty Heart-shaped Box of Chocolates and hidden it in her desk drawer, for fear of any of her children or other pets eating the magical chocolate drop. Doroppu, however, had become increasingly curious and adventurous, and Silver simply didn't know what to do with it anymore.

Today, Doroppu's growing curiosity had led up to it escaping the chocolate box, and Silver had spent the entire morning frantically searching for the tiny thing until she finally found it hopping, burbling, and rolling itself on its side like a slowing top on her bathroom rug.

Silver Angel knew she had put it off long enough. It was high time to find out what this Spritkin was all about, and that meant a trip to the Wethkin shoppe.

She quietly stood by the door after she had shut it behind her, a little embarassed to interrupt the activity going on further into the room. Doroppu, however, peeked its head out of the tiny foil bag he had been riding in to see what was going on. "Pu? he burbled and grinned curiously.

One of the four Thymal's turned to see Silver enter the room, he sensed an odd presence with her. Magic but he couldn't fathom what it was until he spotted the little chocolate spritkin pop it head up. HE gave a frown. It still disturbed him that random candies were drawing magic themselfves to evolve into wethkin hybrid's.

"Welcome..." The one of four called, "Would you partake in our test?" He asked though he wasn't sure if it was in his contract to educate spritkin. What powers would they have anyway? Melt in the sun?

Silver stared at the other presences in the room. There were two people and two small creatures she guessed were normal Wethkin, and four big Wethkin who looked identical. Quadruplet Wethkin? she wondered absent-mindedly. Thymal's voice brought her out of her thoughts and she stared, even more bewildered than she had come in. "Test?" she asked aloud.

"Test? Pu!" Doroppu chimed, giggling afterward.

Silver smiled, a little embarrassed. "What kind of test?"

Gurgling more, Doroppu repeated in a tiny little voice "What kind of test?" This was followed by more hopping in his foil and some garbled outbursts of "Pu! Test! Pu! Pest! Pu! Pu!"

She nodded as she heard the fog wethkin's reply. 'But I so already know how to figure out which one it is,' she thought to herself as she looked at the raindrop puff and the onion one.

Suddenly she heard a noise. Frowning in annoyance she whipped around to see the dust storm puff bluster into the room from upstairs. 'How does that thing know when I leave the freezer?' she grimaced to herself. The gold beetle shaped wethkin buzzed over to her and smiled like a crazed puppy. "Dss, dss?" it directed at her. But then it spotted the 4 large fog wethkin and suddenly stopped smiling. Hovering over to the nearest Thymal it seemed to be sniffing him!

The closest Thymal to Duststorm seem to withdraw noticing the puffs sharp teeth. But why would a illusion move away? Thymal knew this test was going to end up badly if he let the puff get too close.

"I take it this is the puff that was abanoned?" he asked pointing to the fairly menacing looking wethkin. He was looking to Noctyrn since she seemed to reconize the puff and know it fairly well. Taking a deep breath the other three Thymals all turned to face the puff. It was like they were inspecting it in an almost menacing way...

"Yes that's the one. You can see it's quite the handful. I can't beleive it likes me. Pika is supposed to take care of it but it insists on following me around. In never listens to me either. The only time I can get away is when I hide in the freezer." She watched in interest as the Thymals closed in around it. The dust storm puffed buzzed around to face the other three figures. It was starting to look confuzed.

The four Thymal's glowered at the dust storm wethkin puff before finally backing off. "It doesn't seem like it has been taught very much. It can't even speak properly.." he gave the puff a look of distaste. "It's previous gardium truely must of neglected it..." he droled on looking less impressed by the moment of this 'rare' species of wethkin.

Then again Thyaml wondered if any of the wethkin present were any better off. The other three puffs seemed to have the minds equivilant of a human toddler and some couldn't even speak. He was starting to feel on edge and worry ... was it really better that human's looked after wethkin?

"I've been trying to teach him how to talk but I think his birth must of tramatized him or something. I got the impression from Pika that the human that had received the egg must of put it away somewhere and forgot about it for a few weeks. We don't know how long it was kept in some drawer after it hatched. The puff was brought back here cause she said she wanted it to have someone with more time to look after it." She could almost feel sorry for the puff if is wasn't so annoying. "The other puffs just need to play more word games," she said decisively. She had been reading over Pika's shoulder again in the guild notebooks and the puffs seemed to be developing ok for the most part. They were learning through play after all and all they really needed was a chance to play outside and observe some of the natural cycles of the world.

Wethkin magic...

Part 3 of an RP by Keilyna, Jinxeh, thymal_yorlii, Silver Angel and mooshroom
Key: Keilyna = Dark red, Jinxeh = Violet, thymal_yorlii = Dark blue, Silver Angel = Gray, mooshroom = Olive

"Dissy-pate?" Raindrop echoed in confusion. "El'er Yorlii Dissy-pate and get sick? Not good to be sick." It shook its little body from side to side, emphatically, before it brightened. That was its second question! "Which El'er Yorlii get sick?" It fluttered up and down in excitement, thinking this was surely the question to find out which was the real big wethkin.

Only to be disturbed by a great dusty thing with teeth. It eeped and flew a bit higher to try and get out of range if it could.

Meanwhile, Jinxeh was smiling and nodding encouragingly even though she hadn't a clue how to figure out which was the real wethkin short of walking up to the four shapes, and poking each one of them in turn.

However, she did notice another enter, carrying a spiritkin. She offered a brief smile in greeting, though she was quite distracted with the appearance of the wethkin with teeth, and with Raindrop's own antics.

Thymal gave a sigh and turned his attention back to Raindrop. "Dis-sa-pate, young wethkin. I don't get sick from doing it unless I am using too much of my energy keeping up the illusion. As to which one would get sick. Why I would." The Thymal closest to dust storm pointed to a different Thymal who in turned to a different one. All the Thymal's were pointing to each other.

"We are techinically all apart of each other, though not physically."

Silver Angel blanched a bit as she heard the Wethkin child speak of what had happened to the strange little dust puff. That situation sounded a little too familiar... but it wasn't too late for Doroppu, was it? After all, it had been learning how to say a few words.

"Hmm... hahh..." she said, swallowing the nervous lump in her throat. She blinked as one of the tiny Wethkin asked a question, and again as the four big Wethkin answered together. She pondered the question and its answer while absentmindedly trying to keep Doroppu from hopping straight out of his foil container. Which one gets sick...? They all do...? "It's a guessing game," she said softly aloud, half to herself and half to her little Spritkin companion. "I guess only one of them is real."

"Hello!" Kei greeted Silver Angel rather belatedly, having taken some moments to realise the presence of the new arrivals. "I see you have a Spri- EEEEEEK!"
The girl ducked as a scary-looking beetle-thing with sharp teeth emerged in the room, and scuttled back behind the door to hide.

Hearing the new arrivals, Zuri had turned around excitedly again, hoping that more Wethkin had come to visit. But no- instead, there was a Spritkin coming through the door?! Zuri sighed in disappointment, and turned back to Yorlii. (After its previous experience with a Spritkin, it had decided they were not very friendly creatures... but then again, who's friendly towards you when they think you're about to eat them, and with good cause, too?!)
"Zoo-ree think of better question, then!" it cried. It thought for a bit longer this time over what Yorlii had said. "If Zoo-ree turns off the light, will only real Elleryoree be left?"

The appearance of the dust puff distracted the Equinox puff again, and it waved its stalk excitedly at it, totally oblivious of the other's sharp teeth.
"Not-purple Wethkin come play!" it cried, zooming towards it and whirling excitedly around it.

Raindrop's wings drooped. One more question. But then it brightened as Zuri asked. "Yes-yes, if Z'ree turn off light, will only real El'er Yorlii be left? No-no, if /Raindrop/ turn off light, will only real El'er Yorlii be left?" The puff whizzing towards the switch and doing just that...

Although.... given it was DAYTIME....?

Not wanting to miss out on the credit for its idea, Zuri suddenly deserted the dust puff (which hadn't seemed to be very pleased to see the equinox puff, anyway), and dashed across to the curtains.

"Pull! Pull! Pull!" it chittered gleefully as it tugged on the curtain strings and closed all the curtains.

"Elleryoree dissel-pate yet?"

Mooshroom had stopped at the Wethkin Shoppe on her way home from school. Kei had mentioned that she would be visiting it after school, and had asked Moosh is she wanted to come. She had decided that she should probably stay in the libary though, and get a bit of revision done because she was behind. However, after about fifteen minutes of reading The Crucible, Mooshroom had decided that she would visit the shop after all. She just hoped Kei was still here.

"Kei?!" She called loudly into the depths of the shop, and listened for a reply. She could hear noises coming from one of the other rooms, one of which sounded distinctly like Zuri. "Keeeii...?" She called again as she moved towards the sound, Kianga hovering just above her shoulder.

Together they entered the room which was the source of the commotion. "Having a party or something, are we?" She remarked, as she noticed the four identical adult Wethkin floating in the middle of the room, along with Kei, Zuri, Jinx, Raindrop, another owner and her spritkin, Noctyrn and a random dust storm sprite.
"Cool!" Kianga squealed at seeing the gatering. More people to play with! She had come into the room just as Zuri had finished closing the curtains, and she threw off a pale light on everone inside. "Why so dark? Is it a surprise party?"

"KIANGA!!!" Zuri cried, forgetting about Thymal yet again as it rushed over to greet its friend.
"MOOSH!!!" Kei cried, forgetting about the door and jumping out to greet her friend.

Zuri zoomed around Kianga in excited loops. "Kianga! Kianga! Kianga! Kianga come play game! Elleryoree's game! Have to guess which is reeeeeal Elleryoree! So we turn out lights and see!"
The puff looked somewhat reproachfully at Kianga's glow.
"Kianga need to be dark," it explained, so maybe Kianga hide under table?"

"KEI!!" Mooshroom patted her friend on the head, and then added in a whisper, "Who exactly is that purple guy? He reminds me of Nightcrawler from the X-men..."

Kainga glared a Zuri. "Discrimination!" she cried, before flaring as brightly and hotly as she could. Her rage only lasted a second, before she got bored of that and started to think of how to decided which was the real purple-guy. "Have you tried poking them?" She asked Zuri. "Or maybe I shoudld try to evapourate him?" She giggled at the thought.

"Um," Kei said. "His name's... um... Eller...yoree, I think?" Kei was never the best at remembering names, after all. "And he's some sort of Elder Wethkin, I think. Seems to be having fun playing games with Zuri and Raindrop and keeping them out of my hair," Kei continued whispering. "We're allowed to give suggestions to our Wethkin but not ask him any questions to help, I think..."

"Kianga can try poking," Zuri suggested. "Or evaporating! Zoo-ree can't..."

"Ah, I see." Mooshroom said, nodding. "I think I'll stick to calling him elder..." She smiled sheepishly. "I'm not the best at pronouncing or remembering names either."

"Mr. Purple," Kianga asked, trying her hardest to be polite, "If I tried to evapourate you, would only the real one be left?"

Thymal was generally impressed by the wehtkin's idea's. Silly as they were it showed they had put of a lot of thought into each question.

"Turning off the lights would be been an excellent idea if there wasn't one major flaw..." he said holding his hand up waggling a figner at them all. "It woul hva eto be pitch black for that to work, any light at all even minimal can make my illusion work, and if you can't see how would you know which one was the real me?" He gave a smile as another one answered the second question.

"You can poke each one of us if you like, though being of fog i could certianly just will myself into transvapor so you would go right through me no matter which one you poked." He said shaking his head though there was a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

"I will give you some suggestions. " said a third, "try and 'feel' the magical energy i am possesing. Even if you can't disceern which one is me if you can feel the magic then you are at some sort of a starting point."

Zuri hummed thoughtfully, bouncing slowly up and down in the air as it carefully processed Yorlii's words. What was it that Elleryoree had said? Feeling 'magical energy'? Zuri didn't have much of a clue as to what this 'magical energy' was, but maybe...
The little puff screwed its eyes closed, humming softly to itself.
It could feel lots of little leafy vines running everywhere around the room- from previous experience, it already knew they were Wethkin. But, which one was Elleryoree? Zuri had no clue. But there was one 'vine' that seemed slightly closer, slightly stronger than all the others...
"Elleryoree HERE!" the little puff cried excitedly, waving its stalk to indicate where it thought Yorlii was.
But when the puff opened its eyes... it found it was waggling its green, leafy stalk right in front of Raindrop's face!

Raindrop sneezed at the stalk tickiling its... nose? Face?

"Aaaaaaa-CHOOO!!! Z'ree not nice to tickle Raindrop!" it cried. It was even more distressed, because Zuri had interrupted it from trying to think watery thoughts (Jinxeh's encouragement again). It had been having a nice dream where it was resting in its washbasin, surrounded by raspberry bubbles. It had been dreaming that one of the bubbles was floating towards it, only to discover that bubble was none other than Zuri!

"Z'ree not bubble!" it wailed. "Z'ree not wet!" Then it had another idea. "El'er Yorlii bubbles wet! Find bubble El'er Yorlii!" Although the words would've been quite incomprehensible to some, in Raindrop's mind, they made perfect sense. El'er Yorlii was bubbles! Lots and lots of bubbles!

And it flew towards all four of the elder wethkin, and imagined them as great, big, watery bubbles.... but with its eyes closed, it couldn't see where it was going, and it ended up flying towards (and through) one of the Elder Yorlii if it didn't get out of its way.

Thymal gave one rare and wry grin, as he let raindrop go through one of the Yorlii images. "Nice try," He tried to encourage the little raindrop puff. "I am not exactly made of bubbles but I am made of tiny tiny water particules. SO in a sense I am a lot like you." He said pointing to Rain. He looked back to the other wethkin.

"That was also very good. Though you didn't pinpoint on my you can sense other wethkin which is a great start." Though his words sounded encouraging his tone seemed a bit flat as if he was suddenly very deep in thought.

"OKay now, I will give you both an answer..." siad one as he started ot fade away the rest following in suit until the one second from the left was left. "I am the real Elder." He stated pointing to himself.

"Now that I know basically your abilities in sensing magic...I want to see how well you guys can actually use your powers...who would like to go first?"

Raindrop sploshed into the wall and bounced off. "Raindrop hurt! Wall not El'er Yorlii!" it wailed when it opened its eyes. It turned around and saw that one of the four Yorliis was pointing to itself. Then it mentioned magic, and Raindrop brightened. "Raindrop know magic!" it cried and dived straight for Jinxeh's pocket.

A moment later it came out again, bearing a small container of /something/. Which later turned out to be food colouring. It had discovered a trick, which it was proud to show off. It placed the bottle on the ground, uncorked the bottle and jumped in. The next moment, it flew out again, coloured not blue, but GREEN.

"Raindrop show magic!" it cried proudly.

Meanwhile, Jinxeh was staring in horror at the food colouring. "Raindrop, where did you get /that/ from? I was going to use it to make more peppermint stars!"

Kianga was unusually quite throughout the happenings. The puff had closed her eyes, and was concentrating really hard. She could see tiny lights, which wer- like Zuri's "vines"- the other Wethkins. They were very blurry though, and she couldn't seem to focus on them. She opened her eyes again and sighed.

But when it came to magic, that was something she could do. "Watch me! Watch me!" Kianga exclaimed, and flared as bright and as hot as she could.
Mooshroom, who had stupidly looked straight at the puff, sheilded gher eyes with her hand. "Kianga! Warn people when you're about to do that!" She blinked a couple of times to clear the dots from her vision.
"But was good, wasn't it?" She said, looking hopefully towards Yorlii.

Kei had followed Mooshroom's suit, and was blinking furiously and rubbing at her watering eyes.
"Owww...." she moaned.

Zuri stuck its tongue out at Kei, whilst wondering what it could do. It hadn't ever tried shining, or turning green... The little puff was most upset.

Then, it remembered what had happened on Fall Equinox. It seemed like such a long time ago... and it had been so difficult, too! If this was what magic was really like, Zuri decided it was probably too much effort to bother. But still, it didn't want to let Raindrop and Kianga have all the spotlight to themselves, so it started concentrating as hard as it possibly could...

Thunk.

A tiny, shiny red apple no larger than Zuri itself suddenly materialised in the air and promptly knocked the puff out.

Going on a scavenger hunt...

Part 1 of an RP by Keilyna and Jinxeh (in the Wethkin RP event for the Mist and Dust Storm Wethkin)
Key: Keilyna = Dark blue, Jinxeh = Violet

Keilyna raced down the road to the Wethkin Headquarters, her long ponytail bouncing crazily up and down behind her.

"MEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!"

Kei blinked. This place usually wasn't this filled with echoes.
"This is strange," she commented to the air.

"ZURI HEAR RAINDROP!" her Wethkin suddenly screeched delightedly, zooming out a conveniently open window.

"Hey, wait for meeeee!" Kei cried, running to the window, but her Wethkin had already vanished.
"Hmmph," she hmmphed. "Looks like I'll have to find another way outside..."

Ten minutes later, Kei stumbled breathlessly to a halt in front of Jinxeh, a streak of mud across her face, various parts of the garden's flora tangled in her hair, and her clothes looking somewhat worse for wear.

"Finally... here at... last!" she huffed triumphantly, collapsing onto the grass and lying there.

"Oh great Kei, you're here! And you brought me just what I need!" Jinxeh swooped down on her sister, plucking two white flowers out of her hair:

User Image

"Ooh. I really like this one. They look like white bluebells," Jinxeh exclaimed, tucking the two flowers into her pocket. "You came just in time, too. I'm looking for all the contents of this list, though now I have six white flowers and lily pad." She held the pink piece of paper out to her sister.

User Image

Then, after a moment, ".... Are you alright, Kei?" Suddenly realising that maybe collapsing onto the grass and just lying there wasn't natural.

Raindrop perked up at the new arrivals. "Z'ree! Z'ree rescue Raindrop from mean Jinx! Mean Jinx wants Raindrop to find NASTY FLOWERS!!! Mean Jinx say, Raindrop not find, Raindrop NOT HAVE BUBBLEBATH!!!" Its voice rose into another high-pitched wail.

"Kei is... alright... I think..." Kei said limply from the grass. "Too much... running! Didn't want to miss all... the fun!"
The girl brightened as she saw the paper. "A list! Jinxeh loves lists, doesn't she!" There was a pause. Then...
"We have to find five slugs?! Yuck!! Jinxie, you can find those, how about I go and find the rest of the flowers whilst you do that?"

Meanwhile, Zuri zoomed excitedly about Raindrop. "Zoo-ree-Raindrop PLAY!" it chittered- then stopped as it heard its friend's words.
"What Raindrop say? Jinx mean to Raindrop? Then Raindrop come play with Zoo-ree instead! Zoo-ree find bubblebath for Raindrop!" it cried, bouncing agitatedly in the air and glaring at Jinxeh.

"But finding items on the list will be FUN!" Kei protested from the ground. "Don't you want to come find flowers and shells and feathers with us?"
"Jinxeh mean. Zoo-ree not play with Jinxeh."
Kei paused for a moment to think. Her Wethkin seemed to be more rebellious than she had realised, before!
"But... surely helping us out wouldn't take all that much of your time?" she pointed out. "Other people's Wethkin are having loads of fun doing this, and I thought I saw one group with quite a few items already on my way here... they might even be beating us by now! Don't you want to try and beat them and be the first ones to find everything? I know you can do it!"

Zuri mulled over Kei's words thoughtfully.
"Alright then," it muttered resentfully. "Zoo-ree help, but not for Jinxeh. Quickly-quickly, must go find things! Zoo-ree want WIN!"

"We can find the slugs together," Jinxeh declaimed, then as usual, she started delegating responsibility and being the bossy one. "Kei, why don't you go and find the shells? Raindrop and I will continue looking for flowers. If you find any feathers, that'd be helpful, too. We can leave the slugs and the bees till last."

Having said that, she started searching again. "Raindrop!" she called.

"Raindrop not want go," the wethkin said sulkily, hovering close to Zuri.

"Raaaaaaindrop," Jinxeh said in a meaningful tone.

"Raindrop want bubblebath! Jinx mean-mean-MEAN!" the little blue puff cried as it whizzed afterwards, not wanting to find flowers but wanting its bubblebath saved!

"Alright, then... But I'm wearing gloves, at least, for the slug-finding, then!" Kei announced. "So, Zuri, let's go, shall we? I'll make sure to pick up some fresh fruitcake for you on the way home! ...Huh? Where did Zuri go?" she cried, looking about frantically. "Zoooo- ack!!"
Kei yelped as two somethings landed squarely on top of her head.

User Image

User Image

"Wow, Zuri, you're fantastic!" Kei cried, examining the flowers. "That was so fast! Now I have to find some stuff, too, so I can beat you! But remember, we're meant to be looking for shells and feathers, not flowers, you know!"
Zuri snorted.
"Kei can't beat Zoo-ree!" it cried, zooming off and out of sight again. "Zoo-ree find sheeeeells!"

"Hrm... Let me see... Where am I supposed to find shells in a garden?" Kei suddenly realised that she had absolutely no clue. "Maybe Pika hid some about the place? But..." The girl looked stumped.

Two minutes later...
"...Oh. There's meant to be a forest around here as well, isn't there? Maybe... there might be a river and some shells, in there?"
Kei looked around.
"ZOOO-REEEE! I'm going to look in the forest now!" she cried. "Coming?"

Her Wethkin suddenly erupted from the middle of a bush and zoomed around Keilyna in a swirl of leaves. "Zoo-ree coming! Zoo-ree's going to WIN!!"

***

As the pair entered the forest, the sudden cool change in temperature was tangible. The densely green forest canopy overhead was rustling calmingly in the light breeze, and the twitterings of the forest's various avian inhabitants filled the air. Here and there, beautiful flowers bloomed in a dazzling array of colours.
All colours, it seemed, except for white.

"I wonder if we can get some of these flowers and dye them white?" Kei mused to her Wethkin. "Or maybe..."
"Kei SILLY!" Zuri cried. "That cheating!" Dye flowers, they might die!"
"But... of course they would, wouldn't they?" Kei misunderstood her Wethkin. "Dyed flowers will be dyed, won't they?"
Zuri snorted. "Kei very silly," it observed, hovering above her head."

As the pair wandered along the forest path, the burbling rush of water became audible.
"Zoo-ree hears stream!" the Wethkin chittered excitedly, zooming on ahead and down the path.
Surprisingly, Kei was able to keep up with her Wethkin for once, and the two reached the stream at just about the same time.

Kei collapsed onto the ground again.
Right on top of a rock.
"Owowowowow!!"
Kei leaped up again immediately, overbalanced, and nearly fell into the stream.

Afraid of the water, Zuri had retreated a metre or so back and was perching on top of a rather prickly-looking bush.
It was watching its guardian's antics, unamused.
"Kei clumsy. Kei silly. Kei strange."
"Hey!" the girl in question protested, but only half-heartedly. She was already crouching down and gazing into the rushing waters of the stream, searching for any sign of shells.

"I see some!" she cried excitedly.

3. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y103/TealDawn/wethkin/rpevent/shell3.jpg

"But... how do I get them out? Do I have to get wet?" Kei complained.
Considering the problem for some time, she concluded that getting wet was the only way. Sighing, she waded into the stream...

Fifteen minutes later, Kei looked triumphantly at her collection of shells now sitting in her palm. Apart from the ones she had seen before, there were also four others:

User Image

User Image

"Hah!" she said, turning triumphantly to her Wethkin. "Now I've found seven things, and you've only found two!"
"Kei wrong," Zuri replied smugly. "Zoo-ree did find shell, so now we have eight!"

Kei looked- and indeed, her Wethkin had!

User Image

Jinxeh looked up from a fruitless search for flowers, to see... what was this? Kei returning triumphantly with a bunch of shells, and Zuri carrying a.... a /what??!?!!!?!/

"What's /that/?" she cried, staring at the leaf being carried by the onion puff. "A snail? Zuri, snails aren't on the list! We have to find slugs!

Zuri was most indignant. "Jinx silly. Jinx mean. Zoo-ree find shell!" the little puff glared.

"Oh," Jinx said faintly, noticing that yes, when one counted all the shells that had been gathered, there were indeed eight. Not to mention two more flowers. "Why don't you two find a basket so we can put everything in, and I'll see if I can round up the last of the flowers. Then all we need to do is worry about the feathers.... and then the honeycomb...." A longer pause. "And then the slugs."

Whilst Kei and Zuri went off to collect the basket (Jinx having given them the flowers she had already found, Jinx and Raindrop headed into another section of the garden they had not ventured in before."

White flowers... white flowers.... Jinxeh was starting to get heartily sick of white flowers....

"C'ration!" Raindrop muttered sulkily, then, sending an evil glare at Jinxeh, it had an idea. If it would just find those two last silly flowers for Jinxeh, then it could finish and go play.

It brought these:

User Image

Alas, Raindrop wasn't to be let off the hook so lightly.

"Excellent! Ten flowers! Now we have to go find some feathers! Raindrop, can you go and look up in the trees?" Jinxeh's mood was improving in inverse proportion to her wethkin puff's.

"RAINDROP HATE FEATHERS! RAINDROP HATE JINX!!!"

The outburst left Jinxeh reeling. "Raindrop! That's not fair! I'm trying to teach you, so you learn-"

"RAINDROP HATE GAME!!!"

Nevertheless, the little puff zoomed right up into the treetops, leaving a very upset and concerned Jinxeh behind it.

***

Raindrop fluttered in amongst the leaves, rustling them and getting them wet in its wake. The sun was bright and summery, just nice, and light glinted off in shininess from the wethkin's surface.

And then, in a high-up nest, it found a bird.

Oooh. Feather!

It tugged on the bird's tail, but the tail wouldn't come off.

The bird did not move.

"Dead birdie?" Raindrop frowned. "Dead birdie give feather to Raindrop! Give feather now!"

Tug-tug-tug-tug-

Until both bird and Raindrop toppled out of the tree.

"Mean bird attack RAINDROP!" the little wethkin howled.

Plunk.

Raindrop hit the earth.

Plunk.

Bird fell on top of Raindrop and squashed it into a little puddle of water in the grass.

"JINX HEEEEEEEEELP RAINDROP!!!!" came a muffled squeal from round about the vicinity of a flat puddle on the grass.

Jinxeh rushed over to see what was attacking Raindrop, only to find:

Raindrop searches for a feather, Take Two:

Raindrop flew up into the trees.

"Jinx say Raindrop find blue feather," it muttered. It scanned the trees and the ground. Nope, no feathers anywhere....

Meanwhile, Jinxeh had found three wild roses. Or more than three, to be precise:

User Image

She tugged them from the bushes, being careful not to p***k herself on the thorns.

"Raindrop find blue feather!" came the triumphant trill from over her head.

Jinxeh looked up and received a big-

WHUMP!

Dazed, Jinxeh lay on the ground, having been knocked out by a

on the forehead.

In fact, she was so dazed that she didn't have any thoughts left in her brain to state the obvious (they'd been knocked clean out of her right ear).

Feathers and bees...

Part 2 of an RP by Keilyna and Jinxeh (in the Wethkin RP event for the Mist and Dust Storm Wethkin)
Key: Keilyna = Dark blue, Jinxeh = Violet

"Eeeeek!"
Kei was having a rather difficult time juggling all the flowers that had suddenly been dumped into her arms. Eight flowers, seven shells... how was she meant to hold them all?! At least, she thought, it wasn't her task to hold the eighth shell- Zuri was smugly hovering behind her with its stalk wrapped about the leaf on top of which the unfortunate snail was perched. By this stage, the snail had retreated back inside its shell, probably out of fright at finding itself in mid-air.

"Aaaargh!" Kei cried, and gave up.
Her backside hit the ground again, and all the precious items fell out of her arms and onto the ground in a shower of white petals and sandy grit.
"Zuri, could you please watch over this stuff whilst I go find a basket?" she asked her Wethkin.
Though grumbling, it consented, and off Kei wandered.

***

When Kei returned, not only was her face still mud-streaked and her hair still flora-tangled, and her clothes somewhat worse for the wear...
There were crumbs all about her mouth.
And in one hand, she was carrying...

User Image

"Look, Zuri!" she cried happily. "I found a basket of cupcakes lying about one of the party tables, and no one was about, so... well, it would be a shame for them to be wasted, don't you think? They're absolutely delicious! Want one?"
She held the basket out.
"We need to eat a few more so there's room for the flowers and shells, y'know!" she told Zuri, grinning conspiratorially.

"Not fruitcake," Zuri complained. "But Zoo-ree still HUNGRY!"

Five cupcakes later, Zuri and Kei set off back to the forest again, in search of the next item on their list: a duck feather. The flowers and shells were sitting quite comfortably in the basket now (though Kei had remembered to save several cupcakes for Raindrop and her sister... and other purposes, too). Zuri had still persisted in carrying the snail, however. The two found their way back to the stream quite easily, though Zuri grumbled at having to be in so close proximity to water, of all things, for so long.
Kei dumped her basket down on the ground, and surveyed the waters of the stream.
"No ducks in sight," she observed. "Yet."
From the basket, Kei withdrew one of the cupcakes and spun about, showing it to Zuri.
"Look!" she proclaimed happily. "I couldn't find any bread, but I figured anyone would like cake more than bread, even ducks! See, I came prepared!"
Zuri sulked.
"And so," Kei continued, "just sit back and relax whilst I do all the work!"
Zuri glared.
Kei turned toward the river and broke off a piece of cupcake. The pink icing partially stuck to her hands, but she managed to throw it into the stream.
"Here's food for you, ducks!" she cried. "Come and get it! You know you want it..."

***

"Quaaaaaack!"
Zuri floated in the air, feeling rather pleased with itself. It had flown off in a huff after its guardian's proclamations, determined to be the one to be the one to find the duck feather first... and without getting wet in the process!
And here, it had found a few ducks waddling about near the edge of the stream. They were contentedly pecking at the ground and quacking to each other. So now... which duck to get a feather from?
Zuri quickly made its decision (being much more decisive than Kei), and determinedly dived toward one duck.
Which promptly turned around and snapped its beak at the strange, attacking, flying onion!
"Eeeeeeeek!"
Zuri tumbled through the air backwards in its haste to escape. This task was harder than it had seemed to be, at first!

User Image

And so, the little Wethkin retreated in order to formulate a new plan of action. But suddenly... lying on the ground... it saw:

User Image

No need for a plan after all! The fortunate puff gleefully winged its way back along the stream's edge to find its guardian.

***

"DUCKIES! Where aaaaaare yoooooooou? Lookie-lookie-lookie! You want CAKE, don't you? Come on, you know you do! Cake will make you grow up BIG and STRONG and you'll be the finest duckies that ever lived! And best of all, it tastes great, and there's no food in the world that could possibly compare!"
By now, Kei's cupcake was but crumbs floating far downstream, and an empty foil wrapper was clutched in her hand.
She sighed.
"Looks like the ducks don't like me..."

"'Cwourse dwucks nowt wyke Kwei! Dwuck wyke Zwoo-wree vwough!"
With a duck feather sticking out of its mouth, Zuri zoomed back into view. (It didn't have anything else to hold the feather with!)

"Not fair," Kei grumbled, stuffing the empty foil wrapper back into the basket. "Let's go back, then. I hope Jinx and Raindrop found all their stuff..."

Jinxeh made pitiful, groaning noises in the grass. "Ow!!!!!!" Her head hurt, her back hurt, everything hurt....

"Raindrop!" she complained.

"Jinx lazy! Jinx get up NOW! Jinx go look for FEATHER for Raindrop!" The little blue wethkin floated above its companion.

"That's not fair, Raindrop. Why'd you have to drop the kingfisher on me? Where is it, anyway?" She scrabbled about for the blue bird and found it. It, too, had been knocked unconscious by the fall - probably upon impact with Jinxeh's skull. The girl pulled out one of the feathers. "I hope the kingfisher won't mind too much," she said, carefully wrapping it in a tissue to keep it warm and placing it on a branch in the sun (out of reach of cats).

And so she had this:

User Image

But she also found something else, as she turned to look at the patch of grass she had been lying on. Sunlight illuminated a Jinxeh-shaped depression in the earth. And in the centre of that Jinxeh-shaped depression were a few, flat shapes on the earth:

User Image

"Aiaiaiaiaiaiaiaiaaiaiaiaiaiaiaii!"

The distressed wail from Jinxeh, who jumped about in horror as she realised what she'd just squashed! Four slugs?? Well, that solved four-fifths of their problem, but.... she warily looked over her shoulder but couldn't see anything on her back.

"Jinx got slugs on back!" Raindrop cried, zooming out of the way so it would not get contaminated either.

"Ugh, I'm going to go and change. Wait here, Raindrop."

***

Fifteen minutes later, Jinxeh returned, but she wasn't in new clothes. No, the wet patch on her back had extended (No, the slugs did NOT grow fatter, Jinxeh just tried to wash them off her shirt). Meanwhile, Raindrop had peeled the squashed slugs off the ground using a leaf, and had managed to coax them into a grey tower of squashed slugs.

They were both disturbed by the return of Kei and Zuri. Both had been equally successful in their ventures - and more!

"Is that cake?" Jinxeh cried. "Yay!"

(5-minute ad-break whilst Jinxeh and Raindrop eat cupcakes)

5 minutes later...

"Ok, so we have...
10 white flowers, all different kinds.
3 wild roses.
1 lilypad
1 duck feather
1 kingfisher feather and an unconscious kingfisher
8 shells.
4 slugs.
1 bag full of rubbish
1 rubber duck. Squeak squeak." (No, Jinx didn't make that sound. That was the sound of the real rubber duckie being jumped on by the crumb-covered Raindrop. Crumb-monster-attacking-yellow-rubber-duckie!

"That leaves the honeycomb and one more slug. Raindrop and I have already found 4 slugs, so you can find the last one. We'll go and see if we can find any places with honeycomb."

Jinxeh made off down the path again, but this time, Raindrop had an idea. It zoomed conspiratorially to Zuri. "Raindrop and Z'ree find honeycomb! We look!"

And so, the two puffs abandoned their owners. Jinxeh was still searching for bees, and Kei... well, I don't know whether Kei went to look for that last slug!

****

Another twenty minutes later....

"OWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!"

And this came flying out of the trees:

User Image

CRASH!

A netting-covered Raindrop crashed smack-bang into a tree.

And the bees swarmed around the two wethkin.

"OWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW! Jinx save Raindrop!"

"OWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW! Kei save Zoo-ree!"

Honeycomb hunt...

Part 3 of an RP by Keilyna and Jinxeh (in the Wethkin RP event for the Mist and Dust Storm Wethkin)
Key: Keilyna = Dark blue, Jinxeh = Violet

Kei sulked.
She had been deserted by everyone else, and left with the extremely undesirable task of finding 'the last slug'.
"Hmph!" she grumbled. "I'll make sure that my slug, at least, will be unsquashed and perfectly whole and unharmed!"

And then, Kei was faced with her next dilemma.
She had never seen a real, unsquashed slug in her life before.
She supposed they just looked like shell-less snails... Or something of the sort.

***

It seemed as though Kei wasn't coming to the rescue. Nor Jinxeh. Zuri zoomed wildly about the place, buffeted about in the air by the enormous swarms of bees that had suddenly materialised from the hive! The poor Wethkin had never known that so many bees could possibly exist!

"Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp! Owowowowowowowowow! Heeeeeeeeeeelp! Owowowowowow!"

Crash.

Thunk.

Thud.

***

Back in the forest again, Kei was proudly admiring her slug. She had always thought that slugs were ugly creatures, but really, they were quite fascinating! After all, the slug she had managed to find was quite unusual, indeed.
It was striped.

User Image

The striped caterpillar moved across its leaf and tried to crawl onto Kei's hand.
"Aaargh! Heeeeeelp!" Kei cried, promptly dropping the leaf.
She eyed the leaf on the ground warily, wondering how she could possibly keep the 'slug' in one place long enough for it to be judged... maybe squashing it would be a better idea, she thought, but she didn't really like squishing things unless they were Jinxeh.

So...

User Image

Jinxeh eyed the bees. And then eyed the wethkin. And then..... proceeded to shout, "The pond, Raindrop! Go to the pond! The bees won't like the water!"

And so the little wethkin dived in. Splash! And merged with the droplets. The bees did not follow (but what about poor Zuri?)

But that left with the dilemma of actually getting the honeycomb. Jinx noticed a piece of netting lying on the ground where Raindrop had dropped it. It was wet, but....

"I know! They smoke out bees, don't they? At least, I think they do...."

So she followed the trail of bees to the tree and placed this at the bottom of the tree.

User Image

And waited...

And waited...

But the swarm of bees did not dissy-pate (Er I mean, dissipate. *baps Raindrop*).

Meanwhile, Kei returned, and when Jinx saw what she was carrying, it was very hard not to groan or tear out her hair. "Kei, that's not a slug, that's a CATERPILLAR! Look! This is a slug!" And she proceeded to fish something long out of the ground with a stick...

But it kept on going...

And going....

And going....

Until........

"Euch! It's a WORM!" She dropped the worm and the stick, and staggered backwards, right into the tree, which proceeded to shake, and the leaves proceeded to tremble, and.....

BAM!

Down came a beehive full of buzzing bees (thankfully not on Jinxeh's head).

"Argh! The bees! They're after me! Run!" And Jinxeh ran for her life.

"Retreat! Retreat!" Kei yelped, overtaking Jinxeh, dropping the basket of items at the edge of the water and then diving into the stream.

Splash!

Kei nearly landed on Raindrop, but managed to avoid getting a mouthful of Wethkin with the stream water that had suddenly filled her mouth.

Glub-glub-glub! Burbleburbleburble!

Not for anything would Zuri throw itself into a stream. It hated water, especially such large, fast-flowing expanses as that which Raindrop and Keilyna had dived into.
So, it had only one option: retreat as far away from the beehive as possible!
And so Zuri did, flying blindly through the forest, chased by a dark swarm of angry, humming bees.

Eventually, the little Wethkin flew far enough to shake all the bees off. As the last bee buzzed angrily at the puff then turned around and headed back to its hive, Zuri sighed in relief.
"Bees MEAN!" it chittered shakily at the retreating bee.
"Now Zoo-ree have to find everyone else again..."

***

Half an hour later found Jinxeh, Raindrop, Zuri and a towel-draped Kei regrouping at the edge of the forest. Kei had eventually managed to retrieve the basket once the bees had flown back to their hive. She shivered and shook as the wind chilled her still-soaked form.
"Meeeeep," she meeped. "Anyone have plans for what we do now?"

"I don't know," Jinxeh said, having managed to escape into the shop to avoid the swarm of bees (she had since crept out with a piece of netting over her head, just to be on the safe side). "Except... we need to find another slug, so... we could just go back to doing that."

She poked disconsolately at the moss with a stick, until she finally overturned...

User Image

"It doesn't look very pretty, does it," she said. "Here, let me put it in your container, Kei. Then we have all five slugs. We just need the honeycomb. Except Noctryn said we can't buy it. Why don't we go back to the shop and see how everyone else is doing? Maybe we'll get some inspiration on the way."

Trudge. Trudge. Trudge.
The troupe of wounded warriors back to the main part of the gardens.

Kei sat down somewhat more sedately than usual upon the floor inside the Headquarters. A small puddle formed on the tiles around her, and bits of sand crusted the hem of her sarong. She looked very much worse for the wear than she had at the beginning... but they'd almost found all their items, so only she only had a few more trials and tribulations to survive through!

Though the next one was rather difficult, she thought.

"Maybe we need to steal Zuri and Raindrop's idea and get some netting ourselves," she suggested to the group.

Zuri pouted. "BAD Kei! Shouldn't steal Zoo-ree-Raindrop idea!"

"But how else are we going to get that honeycomb?" she asked.

Zuri blinked once, then was silent.

"Netting," Kei pondered. "We had some on the windows at home once, but that was a long time ago, I think. Do you think they'd have some around here...?"

Then she spotted...

User Image

Jinxeh wasn't very happy with the idea, but they didn't seem to have much choice. So.... "Ok," she said unhappily, tugging at the tablecloth until it came out. "But Zuri and Raindrop have to distract the bees."

"Raindrop not want stract bees! Jinx stract bees!"

"Do you want to get the honeycomb, Raindrop?"

"Raindrop not want honeycomb."

And so it was... that the four set out on the journey.

And only two came back.

"Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

User Image

Running as fast as their legs would carry them, but they bore with them their prize:

User Image

Running...

And running.....

And running....

And running.....

SLAM! The door to the shop was shut, with Kei and Jinx safe on the other side.

But. Where were the wethkin??

"Zoo-ree not want 'stract scary bees either!" the puff had proclaimed to Raindrop.
And so, neither of them did.
As Jinxeh and Kei donned the tablecloths and approached the beehive, the two Wethkin took off and escaped!
And so... a Rain and Fall Equinox Wethkin could be seen happily attacking the party table and munching upon all the delicious food!

"We're finally done!" Kei exclaimed in delight as she untangled herself from the tablecloth. "I hope I didn't get it too dirty..."
The girl quickly smoothed the tablecloth back into place on the table they had purloined it from, then stepped back to scrutinise it.
"Hrm... I suppose that will have to do!" she said. "As long as no one's too observant, they'll never notice!"
Though of course, Kei was the unobservant one who didn't even notice the large, golden stain of stick honey smeared across one brown-speckled corner of the tablecloth.

Jinx noticed the honey, but decided that people might just think someone else had spilt it? "Let's go and show Noctryn everything and see how everyone else is going," she suggested. "Maybe they need some help.... /Oh!/" The exclamation burst forth as, whilst washing her hands of sticky honey, she noticed the two wethkin puffs eating. "There they are! No wonder there were so many bees after us!! Raindrop!"

"Raindrop eat cake, not stract nasty bees," the puff said mulishly.

"Well we got the honeycomb for you, so...." Jinxeh threw up her hands in despair. "Ok, you get your bubblebath, Raindrop!"

"Yay! Raindrop bubbes! Play-fun! Eat-play-fun!" The puff jiggled happily.

So it was that they brought their goods in the basket out to Noctryn:

10 white flowers
1 piece of screwed up white paper (in the form of a cat headband on Jinx's head)
3 wildroses
1 kingfisher feather
1 duck feather
7 seashells + 1 put-upon looking snail in a shell
1 rubber duck
4 squashed slugs, 1 caterpillar, 1 ordinary unsquashed 3D slug
1 lilypad
1 honeycomb
lots of sticky honey!
and 2 wethkin perched triumphantly on the basket's handle!

"Mission completed," Jinxeh said with a relieved (and exhausted!) sigh.

Exams and exhaustion...

RP by Jinxeh, Keilyna and Xenostatica (during the Wethkin RP event for the Mist and Dust Storm Wethkin)
Key: Keilyna = Dark blue, Jinxeh = Violet, Xenostatica = Black

"Mission completed!" Kei echoed happily.

She eyed her bag of books that she had brought along for the journey. They also looked somewhat worse for the wear... but there wasn't anything Kei could do about that, so she plonked herself down on the grass and took out her Biology folder. Opening it, she flipped through a flurry of pages until she finally found what she was looking for.
"Protein synthesis!" she cried delightedly, and immediately set about her revision.

"...Now what we do?" Zuri asked. It turned to Raindrop. "Raindrop want to come exploring some more? Zoo-ree want to!"

Raindrop made a wet, exhausted, splashing sound on Jinxeh's shoulder. "Raindrop tiiiiiiiiiiiired," it complained as sudden exhaustion set in. Whilst the puff had been busy and excited, it hadn't noticed, but now.... Raindrop sleep." Its wings drooped down even more.

Zuri sighed in disappointment. "Then Zoo-ree just have to explore by itself!"
And so, it zoomed off and away from the revising Kei and flew off on its own to play!

Jinxeh was shading herself underneath a large tree, with an exhausted Raindrop drooping on her shoulder. She noticed that Xee had finished and waved to her. "Come and join us. We're just.... watching. Resting."

"Sleeping," Raindrop added sleepily from behind Jinxeh's hair.

Xee walked over to Jinxeh and Raindrop, "You're watching? Is there anything interesting going on with all the people?" She smiled at the little puffs addition to the comment.

"Not really. Unless you like watching Kei revising." She pointed to her sister swamped by textbooks in the grass. "Oh, I forgot to introduce you. Keilyna - and Keilyna, this is Xee. I don't know where everyone else has gone! It looks like we're the only ones here at the moment!" Jinxeh glanced around quickly to make sure she hadn't left anyone out.

Xee smiled softly as she looked over at Kei and waved softly, "Hello Kei!" She noticed that there wasn't really anyone there, "Oh they must be out looking for their items, some seemed harder then others and you would have to go to the woods for some."

Kei was so absorbed in her revision that she hardly noticed that anyone was talking to her, at first.
"....then the tRNA anti-codon matches up with the mRNA codons on the ribosome and brings along the amino acids for the ride... Huh?"
The girl looked up.
"Did someone say something? ...Oh!" she exclaimed, suddenly noticing the newcomer. "Hello! What's your name? Mine's Keilyna... I think..."
Her head suddenly flooped downwards into her revision.

Xee chuckled, "Studying can be a draw back to life, but it really is worse for you if you don't." She smiled softly, "I'm Xee, Kei. it is a pleasure."

"I... suppose... so..." Kei's muffled voice replied, papers crackling slightly as her head lolled slightly to one side.
Then, suddenly, she shot upright again.
"Why doesn't anyone else have exams?" she half-cried, half-wailed.
Then her head proceeded to fall forwards again into her papers. They were getting somewhat dirty now, due to all the paraphenalia tangled in her hair and the faint streak of mud that had once decorated her face.

Xee smiled, "Oh no, I went through that already, I rather deal with my schedule of work then return to studying." She giggled at the thought of all that stress she had gone through.

"All... lucky..." Kei groaned into her papers. "Why... me? Tasah no exams, Jinx no exams, Xee no exams, Kei... EXAMS!!"
The girl suddenly emitted a long, distressed wail, though it was still somewhat muffled in her notes on protein synthesis.

Xee jumped a little at the sound of frustration, "it's okay, think of it this way you only got to take the test once!" she was trying to be comforting. "Besides it's all a matter of technique of remembering those little combinatons, it's a little game even if it wasn't apparent at first," She smiled.

"One test is fine, but multiple exams?!"
Kei suddenly flopped backwards and lay on her back in the warm grass.
"And these are only mid-year ones, I still have some at the end of the year! ...and the frequency of a fundamental wave in a stretched string is v/2l and the same in an open pipe but v/4l in a closed one..."
She suddenly switched to Physics revision.

Xee blinked a moment as she watched Kei flop down, "Well they have to know if the work stick to you," she laughed a little remembering the same argument she had made with everyone, "It's okay I understand the stress."

"That's... good..." Kei mumbled.
And then, just like her Wethkin, she promptly fell asleep in the sunlight.

At least she didn't snore.

A crash-landing complication...

Part 1 of an RP by Keilyna and Tasah (during the Wethkin RP event for the Mist and Dust Storm Wethkin)
Key: Keilyna = Dark blue, Tasah = Teal

Flying through the garden in a skirling rush of red, orange, yellow and green, Zuri skimmed over the tops of bushes and shrubs. It didn't really know what it was looking for, if anything at all, but it wanted to explore, anyway!

And then, a human suddenly appeared in the puff's field of view.

"Eeeep!" Zuri braked in mid-air then immediately back-winged- and then crashed straight into a tree!
The unfortunate Wethkin then proceeded to rebound off the obstacle and crash right into Tasah's head.

Let's see....what else...." murmured Tasah as she consulted the list once more, and the slow progress she was making. But it was progress none the less...With luck.....sounds came bounding through the air to her ears...a rather loud eppp it seemed...But before she really had much time to react or figure out what was occuring, let alone what was making it....something ~smacked~ right into her head!

Startled and through off balance by the surprise of being used for a crash landing sight, Tasha ploped right down on her bottom, never mind being a bit dizzy. A bit of an,"owwwww," coming, almost as an after thought really.

Tasah's hand reached up to check for bumps or cracks and....found something still on her head,"Ack!!! I'm being attacked!!" Such a dire situation, to which the snails just made the teeniest movement....an ateena might have moved...maybe.

Zuri was squished stuck to Tasah's head. Its wings beat frantically in the air, but to no avail.
Then, it started to screech.

"Owowowowowowow! Help-help-help-help-help! Leggo-leggo-leggo! Owowowowowowowowowowowow!"

The puff jiggled up and down and up and down, but as Raindrop to Jinxeh's head, Zuri was stuck!

As the thing began attacking more violently, her hair being pulled and pulled and pulled on in quick jerks, rather insistant like, Tasah cried,"Ow!! Ow!!! Stop it!!" Her hand waving up at the thing, trying to shoo it away, smack it if she had to...It was after all attacking /her/!!! "You let go!!! Leave me alone, quit it! Ow!!! Owwww! Stop it!!"

Her other hand trying to get a hold on her hair to keep it form being pulled, if there was room enough for it, as the other kept waving and trying to shove the attacking wethkin away...Evil wethkin that it was! "Go away!!! Owwwwww! "

"Owowowowowowowow! Let Zoo-ree GO!!" the squished Wethkin insisted, squirming away wildly on Tasah's forehead. "Owowowowowowowow! You MEAN, let Zoo-ree GOOOOOO-owowowowowowowow!"

And then suddenly- finally- with a rather strange squelching sound, the half-flattened onion peeled off Tasah's forehead and fell, limply wriggling, to the ground.

It's voice was still as strong as ever, though.

"OWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!"

Another round of 'Owww ow owowowowow's!!! came from Tasah as Zuri squirmed about and pulled her hair all the more. Full locks to tiny little strand getting yanked on...certainly a start to a fine headache....Never mind the distraction it was causing from the hunt.....especially as more snail friends were slinking out to see what all the comotion was about.

As hair was yanked and pulled father than before and the squelching sound started, Tasah gave a fine and healthy yelp! Her hand holding her head rather protectively as the thing finally stopped attacking her and let her head be....but her poor ears!!! "Stop it!!!" Her arms moving to cover her ears a bit,"Leave me alone, you evil thing!!! " Ducking and curling in a bit, just in case it was just resting up and recovering for another viscious attack!!

After some time, Zuri slowly puffed back out and regained its shape. It sat on the ground, glaring fiercely at Tasah.

"Zoo-ree not evil, YOU evil!" it chittered angrily. "YOU make Zoo-ree crash into you then hit it and squish it and not help it free!"

The Wethkin bounced up and down to emphasise its point. It bounced so hard, in fact, that a small cloud of dust and a feather whirled about it from the ground!

Tasah peeked out some at the accusations,"Am not! and did not!!! " Frowning as the thing onnly proved to be more evil with it's childish lying. "Your owner needs to teach you some manners! I was just looking at my list to find things. I wasn't doing a thing, minding my own business and /you/ smacked into me....full scale attack and starting pulling my hair! That is a very bad wethkin!"

Her arms coming down at seeing it was really only a little puff, a rather ill mannered, temper tantrum throwing...self centered thing who just couldn't accept the consequences of its own actions.

There was a touch of a blink though as she saw the feather starting to swirl up, all dark...almost pitch black like the night sky...without the light of the stars or moon. Waiting for it to swirl out a bit before trying to nab it, not wanting to get to close....the puff might bite her!

http://www.witchinghour.biz/images/ravenfeather.JPG

"Kei can't teach Zoo-ree ANYTHING! She MEAN and SILLY and STRANGE and just like YOU!" the puff retorted, bouncing up and down even harder and higher in its anger. This happened to send the feather flying Tasah's way, which was not what the puff would have intended if it had known.
"If you not in the way, Zoo-ree not get stuck at ALL! Is not bad Zoo-ree, is bad YOU!"

There was a simple and faint murmur,"I'd rather be like Kei than like you." Doing what any person's best defense is at that point against a temper tantrum....ignoring the tantruming one.

As Tasah managed to capture the feather in her fingers, giving it a faint little twirl before smoothing it out a bit,"Another item!" talking to the little snails that weren't moving all to far upon her shoulder. Putting a tiny mark next to the raven feather on her list...But before she could complete it her eyes went rather wide...for it seemed a snail race was occuring upon her very leg!!

A brown and cream swirled shell seemed to be slinking along by itself...til the like brown sluggish body that was carrying the shell along was noticed. Though it seemed to be trailing behind a rather interesting looking fellow with his almost dapple colored shell, a green look almost, though closer inspection would show it as more of a brown, with small flecks of cream and yellow it seemed. Quite festive. But in the lead was a rather large and dark fellow....carrying a tiny flower in his mouth...least it seemed to be his mouth...Hopefully it was...and it was just a snack!

"Ieeeee! Your army!!! It's attacking!!!"

Zuri glared at Tasah. It did not like being ignored.
"You mean," it said.
Upon closer examination of this mean human, Zuri realised that perhaps it had seen it about a few times before with Jinxeh and Kei.
"Mean person have name?" it inquired sulkily. "Mean person know mean Kei and mean Jinxeh, doesn't it?"

Noticing that the mean human seemed to be participating in the scavenger hunt as well, Zuri suddenly brightened.
"Mean person SLOW!" it crowed delightedly. "Jinx-Kei-Zoo-ree-Raindrop already FINISHED ages ago!"
The Wethkin started to bounce again, but gleefully, this time!
Unfortunately (for Tasah, at least?) no more feathers were stirred up by the bouncing Wethkin.

But Zuri was being ignored as Tasah stared at the 'attacking' army! Before blinking and realizing....it wasn't attacking so much...not that snails could quite attack...well maybe..but it'd have to be a lot of them and a surprise..well more of a surprise and...yeah..not currently quit the scenario for a full scale snail attack. She peered a bit, thenk glance up seeing the two on her soulder having reached the edge and their anteena's waving about rather madly to those below...."Oh....it is a party." Reaching to help the trio on up to join the others,"Here you go...a helping finger...sorry about that little scream...you startled me...thought you were in league with that ill mannered thing. My apologies there."

Seeing the party of five settled carefully so...pleasantly surprised by the turn of events, even her first of the blue flowers served on up. Before she blinked and looked to Zuri,"Oh..were you saying something?" Raising an eyebrow a little as the little puff gloated on so. Rude indeed, she was going to have to have a talk with Kei about this out of controll puff of hers.

Zuri's eyes were feeling a little sore from sustaining the Tasah-directed glare for so long.
"Zoo-ree not said anything," it said sulkily.
Not wanting to stop glaring, but not wanting its eyes to go cross-eyed, either, Zuri came up with another plan of action. It suddenly launched itself from the ground and flew off into the trees.

The first sign of Zuri's return was a candy-wrapper falling on top of Tasah's head. (Uh, oh, looks like it found Jinxeh's pile of rubbish...)
An empty chip packet followed close after, and a foil patty-pan (probably from Zuri's earlier snack).
Then, the naughty puff tried to stick a blue flower into one of Tasah's ears!

A faint little oh formed on Tasah's lips at the sulky response she got. She knew it had been mumbling on about something, but with its behavior, it was not warrenting a full and proper attention. She blinked a touch as the nearly cross eyed onion went flying off, it was rather onion like wasn't it...Maybe part turnip too...perhaps the odd result of some cross pollination early on. Giving a slight shake to her head at the stray thought pattern that had taken hold, but there was a little sigh of relief as the thing vanished off.

Though relief was not long had....for it started raining...paper!!! A hand went up to try and deflect the falling items, they weren't heavy by far...but her hand andgled to mostly protect her new little shoulder friends,"Hey!!!! Stop that!!!" Ill mannered indeed! And then something was trying to go into her ear!!! "Ack!!!"

Her free hand, the one not protecting the adorable band of snails, they were starting to plot becoming a new pop singing group. Oh yes...the hand....went shooing at Zuri, not trying to hurt him, though light knew he deserved a good spanking and time out by now. Pushing him away as she tried to pull the flower form her ear. Giving the puff a look,"Shouldn't you be in school?" She after all wasn't about to tell him he'd actually helped her!

http://www.atpm.com/7.06/flowers/images/blue-flower.jpg

"Eeeeeeek!" Zuri tumbled backwards through the air- though luckily, this time it didn't crash in to and go rebounding off a tree again.
Instead, it thunked solidly onto the ground.
"Owowowow!" it moaned.
"Zoo-ree not have school. Kei have school!" it chittered. "And all Wethkin looking for things anyway. You mean."
The puff eyed the snails on Tasah's shoulder suspiciously.
"You not steal Zoo-ree's snail, did you? Very, very, very mean if did!"

Not that she would admit to it, there was some faint feeling of satisfaction to the thunking sound, karma was coming around for the viloent puff it seemed. The ows were rather ignored, as Tasah checked upon the snails to ensure they were quite save and well. Giving a slight blink as she heard the oddest little sounds coming from them, surely she was just..well..hearing things.

Though she did check upon that chip bag, as it hadn't seemed quite so empty when it thwaked her head a little. Fingers poking it a little...and out tumbled a small pebble!!

http://www.decorpebble.com.au/stripe.jpg

It was quite facinating looking actually...a light choclate color at one end, black at the other...the two colors fading nto the others, thin back strips fleeting across the brown, brown sliced infultrating into the black. And so smooth, it was another river pebble. And wait....what was that next to the bag!

http://www.decorpebble.com.au/Aussie Bronze 003.jpg

Such odd coloring, an attempt at translucent white...but with rusted veins...as if its time in the water had actually started to cause the little stone to rust away. Such character.

Tasah blinked a little...what was that chittering, oh...that puff of Kei's was going on still it seemed. Something about school...snail....Hey, it was eyeing her friends....a hand went up as a protective little barrier, not trusting the puff at all..." No...I didn't steal them....I found the first two...and the others came along to join in the party...they were crawling on me. Not that it is any of your concern really."

Wethkin pest...

Part 2 of an RP by Keilyna and Tasah (during the Wethkin RP event for the Mist and Dust Storm Wethkin)
Key: Keilyna = Dark blue, Tasah = Teal

"You mean to Zoo-ree. Zoo-ree not like you any more." Not as though the puff had in the beginning, but it decided to tell the mean human its feelings outright.
"Snails boring. Rocks boring. Feather boring. Why you collect all wrong things?" The Wethkin had no clue that there were actually three different possible scavenger hunt lists. "You have to collect HONEYCOMB!"
Zuri looked quite pleased with itself for reminding the silly forgetful human of its task. It wanted to watch Tasah be chased by all the swarms of angry bees!

"That's just fine with me, I don't quite care for you either." As long as everyone was being truthful, it was after all quite ill tempered and in dire need of counseling and a triple helping of manners. She had to wonder if Kei knew just what a brat her puff was becoming.

An eyebrow raised a little,"Wrong things? Honeycomb?" A stray glance was given to Tasah's list,"Nope, I'm getting the write things, there isn't anything about honey comb on this list. You must have only seen one of the others."

Shifting to get up, as there were more things she needed to get yet and time was surely running out! As she put her hand out to give herself a push up, it slipped and she stayed right where she was. Though a rather quizzical look was given to where her hand had slide from....Canting her her as she spied the odd little scattering of pebbles.

Brillant as the snow...well nearly so..for a few grey, almost black, specks marred the white color of the rock...yet there was a faint turn to the color as if light could almost struggle its way throughthe rock if it were held up to the light...and the smoothness to it, even if it was not quite rounded perfectly...A river pebble.

And grey as could be...smooth, nearly flat...good for skipping. But wait...there were hints of brown..almost a rust causing thin lines and tiny freckles within the pebble...The added hints of coloring nearly lost in the first glance and look to the stone.

http://www.decorpebble.com.au/pebblepictures/msnow.jpg
http://www.decorpebble.com.au/pebblepictures/ming muyu.jpg

Unable to contain its curiosity, Zuri flew over to peer at Tasah's list.
"You have WRONG list!" it proclaimed. "That list strange." The Wethkin didn't want to admit that it had been wrong.
Then, it promptly settled itself in Tasah's hair and wriggled about to make itself comfortable.
"If you going somewhere, you take Zoo-ree for ride to make up for being mean."

Tasah's eyebrow did the raising thing once again at thepuff's little declaration, if it weren't such an evil puff, it's proclamation might have seemed cute...But it was an evil little puff, so it wasn't cute. "There are several different lists you know. People have to find different things."

There was a blink as the puff made itself at home on her head and began wiggling about,"Hey!!! You better not be pulling my hair again....else....I was planning on having stew for dinner you know." Rather ready to send the puff packing if it did start pulling again, there was only so much she could take when she wasn't in a position to properly disapline the thing, she didn't have Kei's permission after all....man was she gong to have to have a talk with Kei about this thing of hers.

Manging to push herself up this time around, keeping an eye on the snails....making sure the puff wasn't going to pull of a premeditated attack on the fledgling pop group...they were going to be the next big thing in the snail world after all.

As she was moving to her feet, Tasah spied a touch of orange...almost peach actually..or was that more of an apritcot...It looked interesting as there seemed to be a bit of white high lighting it, tiny black spots barely made out....and there were white splots seeming to break up the whole color combo...Just notquite working with it.

Drawing closer to the collage of colors, Tasah ohhhhed a little, having forggoten to some extent the hitchhiker on her head....spying a mixture of lovely lilies. Finding dashes of pink and yellow that had been missed before.

Some having pink for their centers, some with the peachy look, the light speckles giving character to the group....and oh...there were the calla lilies with their yellow centers and simple white petal...It always amazed her how the single delicate petal formed the entire flower...they were simply her favorites really.

http://gardenpics.tripod.com/g/lilies.jpg
http://www.flowerdrop.net/images/homepage/singlespecies/lilies-big.jpg

Zuri began to snore.
It hadn't realised how exhausted it had been before, either, since anger had given it fresh energy. But now, its energy just drained out of it and onto Tasah's head- er, wait a moment, that couldn't really happen, could it?- and the puff fell asleep still before it realised how tired it actually was.
The puff was tangled securely in Tasah's hair, so when the 'mean human' moved, the Wethkin remained safely in its 'nest'.
Zuri's snoring increased both in pitch and volume as it sunk deeper and deeper into the depths of sleep.

After securing a single type of each of the lilies, Tasah blinks as she heard the hints of snoring coming from atop her head, even the snails looked up as it grew louder. "Good gosh...can't you ever be quiet." Reaching up to poke the tiny beast to nudge it around some, maybe that would help break the ever increasing snoring pattern....Least that was how she usually got snoring things to quiet up for a bit. Not that this tangled bit was all that great...since it caused her hair to be tugged some yet, least it wasn't the sharp yanking as before.

All these distractions! How was she supposed to ever complete finding all the things on her list!! She drew in a breath and renewed her determination, checkig her list then what was collected in her little basket...Checking on the snails and their little practice party. "Alright, a couple more flower...a feather....and...a cattail..thing ma do da." Looking around to see what direction might be most promsing.

Ah!!! A spot of blue was glimpsed just around that tree...there...And so she quickly set off in that direction...Zuri getting rocked about a bit with her steps...like a little babe in a cradle. Spoilt thing!

Instead of quietening down, Zuri's snoring grew even louder.
And then, it began to toss and turn in its sleep! It seemed to be trying to wriggle out of the confines of Tasah's hair- though luckily for it, its attempts had been unsuccessful.

There was a bit of a muttering as the snoring just got louder and the thing began to fuss about. "Even in its sleep...its a pain." She sighed some and tried her best just to ignore it...least when it was sleeping...it was onnly loud and not throwing things at her and all manner of other unpleasant things...and she at least knew where it was...no more surprised attacks.

On to the blue...She continued on determined to see if it was a flower, different than the ones she already had...She needed so many more! Trudging on...and on...the blue got bigger..and bigger...and rounding the tree...it got even bigger...For it wasn't a simple flower after all...but a field of many...and all the types to be found!!! A virtual explosion of blue!

Quickly she darted about trying to find ones she didn't have, carefully selecting only one of each kind...the funnel forms of the morning glories with their darker centers, nearly purple with how deep a blue they were...And the snap dragons! Just gogeous! She just had to pause and play with them a bit, making them 'snap-snap'. And the poppies, oh she'd never seen ones that were blue, only the orange...the shaggy like leaves were adorable with the pale blue they had....And the beautiful silken petals of the delicate blue rose that was hiden away. And the iris...to die for with the deep blues and ranging purple hues to the tri petal arrangement, the delicate petals for firm and proud. And the tiny others with their shades of blue, names she couldn't quite recall...The beauty was stunning...truly, she could have simply remained and basked upon the gloreous display nature blessed her with in that moment...

But there was Zuri's snoring to keep her from finding the true peace and pleasure of the moment...Yes, even in slumber he continued to plague her...She was going to have to ask Kei if perhaps this thing was some demon spawn, truly.

As Tasah gathered up the last of the needed blue flowers....so many flowers!! Something came tumbling down and bumped into her nose!! A slightly louder thump occuring just in front of her. Her eyes widened a bit, was Zuri at it again.....Nope them logs were still being sawed away up there.

Eyes peered a little to see....a rather fuzzy brown...lumpish thing? Fingers pushed leaves aside to get a better look at the catipillar looking object..."Oh!!" Fingers picked up the thing,"It's a fuzzy cattail and.." picking up what had bumped against her..."the rush....great, I wasn't sure where I was going to get one of those...least easily."

Carefully adding the delicate plant life to her nearly complete collection, wondering out loud, not that it could be heard above the snoring wethkin puff,"I wonder where it did come from....that was rather...." interupting her thought as if to answer was a rather loud screech from above.

Tilting her head to look up, indeed a good thing Zuri was securly tangled in her hed..least for him, the tugging wasn't quite pleasant for Tasah, causing a faint grunt even. But was spied above was truly majestic....that of a soaring eagle. With wings out, displaying an impressive wing span, it glided upon the unwseen currents above. Tasah's mouth forming a little 'o'.....this hunt was turning up some rather beautiful sightings and moments. "Perhaps it had thought it was a mouse?" Looking back to the brown cattail, considering..well...could have been an odd mouse clining to the stalk...mistaken so when swaying about in the wind?

Distracting her from the thought, trying to consider if such was truly plausible....was the light touch of a single feather as it sway and drifted down from the sky. An eagle feather!!

That completed it...didn't it....Tasah scored over her list and compared it to her collected items....Yes! She had everything...finally!! Plus an upstart, overly loud snoring wethkin puff to boot.

Thus she started back, hurring on a bit, though not to fast, she didn't want to bounce and jostle the snails about, their practice was coming alog rather well...Who would have ever thought snails could make such a good harmony, though it was bass heavy, but still oddly pleasant.

Making it back in one piece, her return announced by Zuri's loud snoring, not like anyone could miss that coming....Almost like a slow moving frieght train actually.

Laying out all the items on the designated table, arranging them in the order of the list she'd been given,"Here....I've found everything...least I think so..."

All was left to be accounted and reviewed by those judging the efforts, of course. Now she just needed to get the wethkin brat puff returned to its owner...."Ohhhhh....Kei....." Not that she could actually be heard above the snoring.

But, unfortunately for Tasah, both the puff and its owner were fast asleep, both comfortable in their respective resting-places. An open Biology folder rested on the ground next to Keilyna, its pages stirred slightly by the wind. A wandering stray ladybug decided to explore the depths of Keilyna's ponytail. And all was peaceful and quiet... well, save for Zuri's snoring.

Tasah gave a bit of a sigh and just plopped down amongst the sleeping and others who had completed, and began trying to untangle the puff form her hair. A faint glance at the sleeping Kei....perhaps there was reason after all for Zuri being the way..well...Zuri was.
