Chane smiled, "Well that's a nice surprise. She doesn't sound like my type but I'll have to seek her out sometime. Maybe I've just been spending too much time at the lab, but I haven't seen any other avians in years."

Sasha snorted. "I think she's so moody because she's pining over someone. But I suppose you could always ask her on a date anyway~ Try your luck." Grinning impishly, she took a sip from her drink.

Chane felt his face flush and turned away, "You're putting words in my mouth. Would you go out with someone for no other reason then he's a canine?"

"Nope, they tend to be real dogs." Her grin widened. "I'm not big on basing people on their looks. And yeah, I know, everyone says that. But I mean it. As long as he has something in common, and I can relax and have fun around him, who cares?"

Chane's laugh was still a bit uncomfortable, "I value who someone is over what they look like. Honestly, I'm not really interested in a winged partner. Wings are sturdier then people give them credit for but I still have to be careful. It wouldn't stop me if I liked someone enough, but it's not something that attracts me. An avian would be... father's preference."

Peering up at him, she nodded. "Yeah, makes sense. I got off lucky in the caretaker's scheme of things. She doesn't care as long as I'm happy." Sighing, she crossed her legs, resting her chin on her elbow.

"Pfft, comfort zone." She wasn't mocking him, not really. "Oh wow, is it really?" She didn't have a watch, so she hadn't noticed. "Hm. Take out and a movie sounds good. We can drop by my room so I can grab some money?"

"Well I was actually just thinking we could order in. I can cover the cost don't worry about that. I'm not feeling too keen on putting my arm back on just yet, though, so I'd rather not go out. I've got a few movies here, as long as you don't mind the cushions."

"Ah, works. I can pay you back later." She shook her head at the cushion comment and snuggled into them. "They're actually really comfy."

Chane smiled at her then turned away, "What sort of food do you like?" He switched on the TV, then immediately turned to the right of it and started pulling a binder off the shelf. He wasn't looking when the soundless imaged appeared on the TV screen. It was a piece of paper resting on a table top. It took the camera a moment to come into focus but soon the messy scrawl had gone from too fuzzy to make out to crisp and clear. It read:
"Chane, I dropped by this morning while you where at work. Nice place, but the pantries are bare. How much fast food have you been eating?? I brought a gift for you. It's in the fridge. Enjoy! -Cyn"
