Lilith sat stunned by all that had just transpired. She felt largely responsible for the flames getting to the out of control state that they had reached.

'I could have killed those poor little bytes! And Xin Yue!' Sheer horror flashed across Lilith's face. She sat paralyzed upon the ground. Why couldn't she be strong and brave like Gyasi or quick thinking and soothing like Maxwell? All she ever was capable of doing was causing trouble wherever she passed.

She slowly tried to rise and found her legs were made of jelly. She quickly plopped down on her backside as tears welled up in her eyes.

Ears swiveled back at the soft padding of feet on grass, turning his head to see Femi following. Gyasi smiled, removing his arm from his tall friend to motion her between them. "Hello, lovely," he greeted the meerkat in a friendly manner. "Care to join us?" He privately thought Femi looked simply adorable with that bottle nursed between her hands, but he'd not say it out loud. Not yet.

His eyes shifted back to Lilith, not able to see her tears from this distance but able to smell something...different on the wind. Gyasi refrained from frowning, counting on Maxwell to take care of the situation. She'd probably be more receptive to him, anyway, as surely he could comfort her in...well, however it was that loved ones do.

Without warning, the giraffe felt a little nostalgic. He didn't understand the feeling, and so brushed it off for the time being, turning the full shine of his smile between Isoke and Femi.

At their insistance, Femi moved forward, fingers twisting almost nervously around her drink. She loved all her Hyte (and Byte!) friends, but sometimes, she worried if she was bothering them, or if they didn't really like her. She knew she was being silly though, and shook her head, giving them both a smile. "I'd love to."

Holding up the juice, she beamed at it. "It's orange juice! Which is yellow, and yellow's my favorite colour. I love it."

At Isoke's explanation, she gently set a hand on his arm, shaking her head. "It's okay! I understand. Thank you for thinking of me and keeping me safe." She gave him a kind, reassuring smile. She'd been startled, alright, but she wasn't mad at Isoke. How could she ever be?

Lilith took a sip throough heavy sobs.

"Thanks, Maxwell." She tried to say it as seductively as she could through deep breathes. She scooted closer to Maxwell using this to her advantage.

"Is everyone okay? I can't believe I helped those poor bytes then left them all alone. How selfish of me." She glanced around and noticed that everyone seemed to be alright. "Think they will forgive me?"

She heard the twins talking to her and caught parts of their "sorries".

"It's not your fault, guys! I helped fuel the flames. I shouldn't have helped you then walked away!"

(They do have their serious moments, even if it's a bit rare, lol.)

"You don't have any fault in this!" Kaoru insisted. "It's our fault for not realizing all the trouble that it would cause."

Though, I do think that there's some major over-reacting going on here, Hikaru thought silently to himself. Just cause it was big enough to melt us didn't mean it was any threat to them.

"Well then, now that you're fine," he swept her up into his arms, nipping on a feather playfully in the process. "I suppose you would like to tag along with the others?"

"Xin Yue hun, you wanna come too?" He tilted his head in the direction of the trio and smiled at her questioningly.

The giraffe uttered a quiet sigh, mostly hidden by his more than amused smile. Those two deserved each other, and he was grateful he wasn't in the middle of that again. Gyasi draped an arm around Femi's shoulders as she stood between himself and Isoke, tilting his head towards the direction they'd all been heading to begin with. "Another crisis averted. Shall we?"

He wasn't even entirely certain that the two lovebirds would follow. It was out of his hands now, which was just as well. Giving the meerkat girl a gentle squeeze and a smile, Gyasi continued onward.
