Mavole I never thought that perents would be so anti-gaia... Especially the Life Issues forum.. Isn't it refreshing to see your child ineracting and giving helpful advise to others in need? I wonder if parents act as if it is a terrible thing just because they know nothing about it, and are hence threatened. Or maybe it's an attention to schoolwork and family deal..? Never understood it, like Chalda I dont live with my parents, and I pay for my own stuff. Thank god.. my parents have so many issues that it is [at times] relaxing to live alone. Some parents just don't like the idea of their kids chatting to random strangers online. It's fairly common. Mine were like that when I was at home, but now they can't do anything about it since I don't live with them either. Of course, it is no longer strange territory to my mom (chatting online in general; she doesn't go on Gaia). Once she discovered that chatrooms can actually be non-perverted, she got slightly addicted. Except she does some weird stuff online too...she's a bit nuts.

Hmm, this question is kinds moot for me, since I am 19, and I own my own laptop. I myself think that some parents would be upset with the content of gaia, there are quite a few topics in the forums that aren't too suitable for children. blaugh

Is it, do they know? Or do they care?
They probably know. My dad relatively close to me in the Computer room. (Both our computers are in the same room.)
So anyway, I think occasionally he looks over, but he's a big online gamer so I really don't think he cares.
As long as I'm not bothering him, he pretty much stays away from me.
I guess I'm scary? o.O whee
