Ashe watched the other girl. "The name's Ashe," she said. "As for changing forms? It helps me stay alive more than anything. And thanks for the offer." She walked towards the open gate and looked up at it. "No guards...That's odd. But then that may be the reason no one's come out to gawk." she said to herself.

"Im just a little shaken up, so I don't really need any medical attention" Flint said, grinning slightly. It was true he did look a little shaken, but then again, it's not every day a dragon two or three times your size lands next to you out of the blue.
"And yes, Sorrow, I do play music...well, did, until a scuffle with some bandits up the path" he said, punching himself discreetly for revealing the fact he had killed those two.

Tyme stays low to the ground sniffing the air looking for food in his wolf form. He gets the scent of the near by travelers. As he travels towards them he spots them while hiding in the shadows. He waits behind a tree and begins to morph into his human form still hiding behind the tree peeking out everyonce and while to see the others. The smell of the bandits made him hungry.

(Okay then, not a problem. My character hasn't much to do so I think I will make her leave the minotaur city. Rok could meet up with her again later. ^^)

After a while with no reply Lin said goodbye and walked off, she travelled to the different shops and got some extra supplies. She bought a pack mule and then she left with Mist and Moondust. There was a kind goodbye from the others thanks to the leader of the city, not many knew who she really was, and she didn't stay long enough for them to find out. SHe travelled swiftly away from the minotaur city, the pack mule managed to keep up with ease.
"These supplies will only last us a short while, though it seems like alot there isn't much at all."
"Either way, you gave me a very light load"
the mule spoke.
Lin was shocked as soon as the mule spoke and looked at it with a smile.
"Looks like I will be able to understand and talk with quite a few animals. We need to give you a name mule, how about Larith?"
"I like that name, I was always called mule, it made me feel unimportant and just like a slave to serve humans and other creatures such as them."

The group continued on their journey. By late afternoon they came upon another town. The gates were wide open and there was a group of people standing around outside. Lin climbed off Mists bare back and grabbed the rope that was on Larith; Mist and Moondust simply followed and they all stopped a meter from the group of people.
"Excuse me, what is this place called, and is it a human city?" she called out hoping to get a reply.
While she waited for a reply, she took a brush and some water, with them both she washed down Mist, Larith and even Moondust. Though Moondust was a tiger, he seemed to love water.

Ashe turned around and looked at Flint and said, "So they where bandits. No big deal, the world could do without them. As for the banjo, I may have some items you can use to fix it." She then shifted her eyes to the woods as an elf riding a horse, a mule, and a tiger emerged. Great. Just what I need, a reminder that I haven't eaten in awhile, she thought as she eyed the mule, stomach growling. "Sorry, wouldn't know. Just got here myself."

Lin heard the girl that replied to her question stomach growl, she smiled and went through her bags. After a while she pulled out some dried meat wrapped up in a clean cloth and threw it to her.
"I heard your tummy growl, eat what is in the cloth, it's dried meat but it is surprisingly filling. Oh my name is Liniathe Lavich, just call me Lin though. It's a pleasure to meet you."
She smiled kindly and pet the donkey which seemed to be shaking with fear for some reason.

I wonder what is wrong with Larith, he was fine a few seconds ago.

"Calm down Larith, nothing is going to hurt you with me around. I honestly don't see what is wrong with you."
Larith nudged Lin and eventually stopped shaking. It made a small sound and caused Lin to smile more.
"There, you seem fine now."
Lin turned back to the strangers and looked at the sky.
"I think we should all go into town, it's getting dark and looks like it is going to rain soon."

Sorrow turned towards the others and gave a fake grim smile. She knew her stomach was turning and couldn’t bear to think of food right now. She became light headed and stumbled a bit facing away from them and slowly walking to the gate.

“I um… have some errands to run.”

As soon as she had stepped into the city before the others could follow suit she ran away past the fountain picking up full speed and heading towards an ally way. She stopped gasping for air, slowly feeling better now. She looked down at her hand, where the card once was. She dug around in her zipper pockets and found the card.

Employment…

Her mind trailed at the thought of working again. She wasn’t a very good worker and she didn’t know exactly what kind of work she would be doing. Then again, it was better to have some sort of job and make measly wages to pay her way across the world. But then again, she could sleep anywhere and be perfectly fine.

She turned down another passage way to an old barn. She walked over to it, not seeing anyone inside. She slowly sneaked through the door way and into the barn, seeing nothing but black and barrels of hay. She had done this countless times before, finding something that could be used as shelter, and then crashing without permission. It would provide some kind of comfort and hopefully wouldn’t give away too much attention to her.

I have a bad feeling about this, but it’s not like I have a choice. I’m all out of money.

Sorrow headed up a ladder and laid down over in a haystack looking out a crack in the wall where she could see the others form a reasonably safe distance. She tossed over to her side and her eyes slowly shut.

"Whats with her?" Flint asked casually, waving his hand in an intricate fashion. He pointed to himself, lifting the finger slightly higher. He appeared to float, and he crossed his legs in midair.
He rose so that he was about eye-level with the rest of the group.
"What, forget about me already?" he asked, faking a hurt tone.

Ashe caught the cloth and sniffed it. "Thanks, Lin. I'm Ashe Windsong, but Ashe would be fine." She pulled out a strip of the meat and started chewing it.
She looked at the floating gnome and lifted an eyebrow. "Now that's something you don't see everyday, a flying gnome. And no, your not forgotten." She handed him the bag, offering him a strip.
Ashe also looked at the sky and nodded. "The wind's picking up. We should find an inn."

Flint laughed, releasing the spell.
"Mage Hand, using it to make sure y'all see me" he explained, smiling as he dusted himself off.
"I'm not sure if there is a city up the path, but about 2 hours backwards there is a port town I used to live at, there is a good inn, the Severed Anchor" he said, pointing towards the city.
PostPosted: Sun May 11, 2008 11:29 pm

Lin smiled at the Gnome and though about what he said.
"Any inn will do, as long as we are out of the rain and storm that should arrive soon. I'll take your word for that place; it should be good if you speak of it so nicely."
Lin smiled once more and pet each of her animals in turn.
"Even these three are absolutely exhausted. We just came from the mountains where a Minotaur city is located. It is a rather large city, quite terrifying if you are not used to the Minotaurs as well. But the leader of that city seems to be very kind. He allowed me to rest and stock up; he also made the others in the city treat me as one of his guests. I guess appearances and simple feelings or rumors can be deceiving."

She paused and shivered, the breeze was really kicking up, and she had not packed any warm clothes for her journey. The sky was now covered in clouds and it began spitting. The cold drops of rain felt like ice to Lin.
"We should hurry. Please lead the way sir gnome. I never got your name either, would it be alright to tell me?"
She turned to Ashe quickly and nodded.
"Pleasure to meet you Ashe Windsong."

"Flint Locke" Flint said simply, starting to walk down the path. The sky was getting gradually darker as they walked, and the wind started picking up.
"This wind gets any worse and I might go flying" he joked, grinning.
PostPosted: Mon May 12, 2008 5:19 am

"Nice to meet you too then Flint Locke."
Lin smiled and started to follow the gnome, at his joke she simply smiled.
"We can't have you flying now can we. If you did go flying I would have to get my tiger here to catch you, he'd be gentle" she joked back.
Looking at the sky again Lin sighed.
"I think I forgot to mention that I really hate storms..." she muttered.

Flint chuckled, looking into the distance. His eyesight, better than a normal humans in low light, picked up torches in the distance.
"We're close, I see some lights" he informed his companions, and sure enough, they were about a half hour away from the city.
