The mage held another bemused smile, as he watched the kit. He could tell, quiet easily from the kits subtle actions, that he was displeased with this arrangement. And most likely, he blamed his sister. It was after all the hat, that had caused the minor tuffle. Raistlin had not lived so long (nor through so much) by being unobservant. Through it all, he'd gotten pretty good at reading the more subtle body language. Most times, they didn't even realize how much information they could give away, by a subtle shift in body weight, or a slight raise of a brow.
Again, the mage smirked. He no doubt knew, this would further create drama between Nenda, and Brisote. He shrugged. He would teach Nenda all he could, and have her trained by the best of their respective fields, she would, in the end be able to more then hold her own.
He glanced down the path, the light source was pointing at. He inclined his head softly. "Come, lets go back to the field. Its not too far away." he headed through the bush. For having clothing, and bustling robes, the mage hardly made a sound as he passed through the underbrush. "A note for the future. When traveling through the woods, or any unfamiliar territory, its best to focus every sense to your whereabouts. You are, after all a stranger to the land, where common predators, are more familiar, and have that advantage." Again, he didn't know if Brisote would take the advice, that was up to the kit. Just don't say he never tried to help.

Brisote huffed and trugged after raist, he knew Raist was right about being new while predators weren't... not that a predator could take him down, he was Brisote and his powers could make any average predator flee, but he knew it was still sound advice... having gotten lost proved that... course this didnt mean he would have to like it. Brisote thought about asking raist questions... things he might learn, how to do spells or learn what plants do what... things his sister would learn... but if he could learn them first he would have an advantage for a while .. but to speak to Raist did not fit Brisote's mood, he was to frustrated to want to say anything to anyone, so he trudged on, he then began to wonder if Raist was telepathing... if so would he be able to learn it? It would be a wonderful ability to learn and oh so very helpful... so he decided to test it out Raist? Can you hear me?" Brisote thought in Raists direction, picturing them apear in Raists head. Are you telepathing? Can you teach me to read minds" He didn't expect it to work... but wouldn't it be neat if it did?

Raistlin, hesitated in his brustling through the bush. His head turned ever so slightly to the side, regarding Brisote out of the corner of his hourglass shaped pupils. He spoke, but it was in words.
"Some consider it rude to intrude upon anothers mind uninvited. And should you regard me, at least show me the respect of using my full name name" he said with a slight growl to his tone, as he resumed leading them out of the bush, and to the field. There was still some daylight left. Good.
He glanced around, at the flowers. Alot of them could be useful, most however, were just weeds and decoration. Herboligy is more important then most think. With the right combination of plants, you can knock someone out for hours, without them knowing what happened. With a direct spell, they generally know who and where -" he paused, erupting in another coughing fit. They wernt as frequent in this realm of existance, but the damn things still existed. This particular spell went on for several minutes, before his tea finally took its soothing effect upon the mage's throat.
When the fit passed, he sat down, and built a little fire, to brew more of his soothing tea. Using the ingredients Brisote had fetched for him.

Brisote frowned, he hadn't intruded on Raists mind, he didn't know -how- yet... he wanted Raist to -teach- him... and its not like he -meant- to be disrespectful by calling him Raist... he didn't -know- his full name... only what dad called him. ...least he knew Raist could read minds... he'd have to watch what he thought, though he hoped raist heard this inner dialogue so he would know Brisote didnt mean to be rude this time.. but now what... this scolding had put him in an even darker mood making him want to talk even less... but he did want to learn everything he could so he could be more powerful and show his sister who should be wearing the hat in the family... he resigned himself to watching Raist make his tea and listen to him talk of herboligy....

Raistlin, hourglass eyes, glanced over at Brisote, and nodded his head softly. He didnt hear all of the kits ranting. just the part that had to do with him. Thus was his way. "Fair enough" he said with a light chuckle "Raistlin Majere. However, Raistlin will suffice" he nodded again, resuming his tea making. Even the fumes soothed him, making speech easier on him.
"With the right eye, everything can be useful. Magic, can be draining." he paused to consider Brisote. "I admit, i do not know if your blood-lines will have the same side-effects of a mage, but a vague guide-line never hurt anyone." he shrugged and glanced around, spotting a lemon-tree not too far away. Bless the land that held everything within reach. He indicated to the lemon tree. "Could you fetch me a lemon Brisote?" A rare question for the mage. For the simple fact it was a question, and not a demand or order. He did have his soft moments after all. As few and far between as they were.

Brisote cheered up a little, Raist had heard his thoughts and understood, and now he could call him by is true name Raistlin. Brisote wondered if the name had a meaning like his own, which was the name of a type of wind. He nodded at Raistlin's request and retrieved a lemon, having to increase his size again so he could reach, it sucked being small at times, though it was a blessing at others, thankfully he had received many traits of his mother, one being power over his size. Brisote trotted back to Raistlin slowly shrinking back to normal on the way feeling quite bit better about the company he kept, it was all his sisters fault that Raistlin and he got off on a bad foot. He handed the lemon over and watched what Raistlin would do

Raistlin inclined his head again, a subtle way of thanks. He flicked his wrist, and a small dagger was in his hand, he used the dagger to peel the orange. Another flick of the wrist, and the dagger was once again hidden. Snapping his fingers, a small flame appeared between his slender, gold fingers. He held the lemon peel over the flame, speeding up the drying process. When that was done, he tossed the dried lemon peel into the batch of other ingredients, and dumped a few spoonfuls into the water, mixing it all together. He sat back, against a tree truck, and waited for the mix to steep.
Briefly, he thought of asking Brisote about his sister, but then decided against it. The kit seemed in a slightly better mood. He'd not ruin that unless necessary. "In truth, there is not much i will teach you, that you will find useful." He shrugged lightly. That would not deture the mage from teaching him the lesser ones. "Your parents will be better suited to train you in your natural abilities." he tilted his head, turning the pot with a slender hand.
"in my world, i was...." he paused briefly, thinking his next words over carefully. What was he in his world? He strove to be a god. He fought to disband the old gods, and be the solitary deity. That didnt seem a good thing to teach the young power-hungry kit. Altho. He tilted his head to the side. Should Nenda not have the same power hungry streak in her.....He chuckled lightly. He didnt think Davey would approve of him turning his children against themselves.
"in my world, i was many things. Held many possitions. My advice, learn all you can from every situation. Even if you lose, and you will lose on occasion. All knowledge, is worth having" He took the pot off the fire, and let the tea cool down as it steeped.

Brisote listened nodded and watched Raist, he wanted to know as much as he could too, even at his young age he knew knowledge was power, and he certainly planned on being powerful, so powerful his mother and father would be impressed and Nenda would be afraid. "I'd still like you to teach me everything you know anyway, if thats alright" He paused thinking of how best to say it, he didn't want to sound rude again "Would you have accepted someone telling you they wouldn't teach you much that you'd find useful? Isn't there always a use for knowledge of any kind?" He didn't want anything left out of his teachings, with as many places as the ocean can take him and with as long as he plans on living... he is the child of a goddess after all, he couldn't afford to miss the oppertunity to learn all he could

((sorry guys, kinda got ... busy. i'm back! i'll go be poking kat soon too))
Shiva watched as her brother and the one that walked on two legs made their way off into the field or forest. She wondered what he would be teaching her brother and felt he was lucky to be having a third teacher rather than just their parents. She wanted to learn!
"I want to learn! Can I go with Raistlin too??" Shiva asked, standing and looking at her parents and her sister for permission, feeling that her sister had some rights to that decision too considering she had been with him the most.
Tia blinked but was pleased at this development. Perhaps there was some hope for this shy and withdrawn kitsu yet. She didn't dislike that in her daughter, but she thought with the parents she had, they should all have quite the personalities and abilities too. "What say ye Davey?"

Davey looked to Tia then to Shiva and then to where Raist had gone, he knew Raist sought power and his children were still impressionable so there was a very real risk of him using them for his own gain, when it was just one child he knew they would hold a chance to keep her from being used so, and with Brisote's clear distaste for Raist he wouldn't need to be worried about... but Shiva? She was quiet and insecure... Raist would have a far easier time turning her against them... but how could he deny her the chance to learn when the others have the ability to learn from him? Davey nodded "Aye she may-ah learn from him-ah" He couldn't protect one while allowing the others to learn from raist, it would only turn her from them faster... he didn't like it but knew she had to have the chance to choose. He looked to Tia somewhat sadly with an 'I dont like where this is going' type look to it

"If Raistlin sayz tis alright, den you may go wit him and your brodah." Tia replied, making it another's overall decision. And it would give them both time to adjust to the idea that perhaps she would be learning from someone else as well. "And only when we do not have tings to teach yah."
Shiva smiled and wagged her tails eagerly. She was excited and hoped that the mage would allow her to learn under him.

Davey nodded at Tia, who knew what raist would say, he may like having a new pupil or may thing 3's too much... either way Davey would come out the good guy. He sat down next to Tia and the girls looking out over the ocean and smiled. "So would ye'ah like ta learn bout de sea'ah?"

Narwhal sat back, a little shy as her brother and sisters interacted. She wagged her little tails every so often, listening intently to their comments. Teaching, learning new things! It intruigued the small girl very much. Delicately, she wandered towards her mother, resting a small paw on hers, giving her the gentlest nudge she possibly could.
"You could teach us too, right, ma'?" She said in a quiet, yet pleading voice. A cheeky grin slowly grew onto her face and she wagged her tails more prominently than before. "Not just..." She paused, hesitant, not knowing the other Kitsu's name. "Da' knows stuff. Mama can teach us too... she knows stuffs too."

Tia nodded and smiled at her daughter. "Of course, I plan on teachin ya all that I know about voodoo and da potions .... But it seems your fada wishes to teach ye all about da sea."
Shiva wanted to learn anything. The sea, the magic, the voodoo... it would all be useful and she was hoping they could start soon.

Davey was surprised Tia wasn't going to teach them about the sea, she was the goddess of it after all and surely knew more than he despite all the years he had sailed it, he knew how to read the sea and her moods, how to sail through the roughest of weather, and he knew of some of the many creatures of the sea, but he certainly didn't know everything. He quirked an eyebrow at her to show his surprise, but left it at that. He also wasn't sure what he thought of Narwhal seeming to want to learn from Tia more than from him. They were a sea family, the goddess of the sea and a sailor of it. She would learn of her heritage wither she wanted too or not! He huffed his disapproval at her then got to his feet and headed to the Flying Dutchman, "let us geet ah move on-ah"
