Tom grinned.
He was absolutely ecstatic. One more rejection from a girl would have turned him inside-out, even if he was only asking as a friend.
He simply had no patience for the girls that swooned over him. Because, if he succumbed to their wants, they would swoon for a while but completely walk all over him the next moment. Perhaps he was too sensitive for his own good.
"Wow, thanks Tonks."

Tonks grinned and shook her head, white blond hair flapping. "Don't thank me, please. You're doing much more for me." She should be thanking him, kneeling at his feet, kissing rings and whatnot. But she felt that would be a bit silly-looking.

Tom rolled his eyes. She was definately being overdramatic. But... he couldn't complain; it pleased him that she was acting in a way that was not indifference.
"So," Tom prodded. "What are you doing on this fine day?"

Tonks looked around herself as if searching for the answers to Tom's question. "Well..." she waved her hand vaguely around at the milling students and herself and Tom. "...this, basically. I never have plans, plans are no fun wanna sneak into the Forest?" she asked, again switching conversational topics at the speed of speech.

Tom actually considered it. After all, he was quite bored... and who's a Gryffindor that doesn't ever have any adventure?

"Yeah! Let's do it! I'm so bored!" Tonks said with such enthusiasm her eyes had actually grown larger. Unattractive, Tonks... She blinked and her eyes shrank back to normal size. "Whaddya say, Tom? Up for an adventure?"

"Exactly!" Tonks said enthusiastically. She grabbed Tom's hand and started making her way across the grounds, her hair turning blaze orange with great bubbling excitement.
((I made a seperate thread for the forest, as we would be going on an adventure in the GH if I didn't...))

Angel came in and sat down at the hufflepuff table. She sighed and took a cupcake off the cupcake tray and started to eat it. Then, she took out a book and started to read it. 'This is going to be an interesting year.' She thought, as she started to read her book History of rock music.

Tom walked back into the Great Hall after that exciting rendezvous with Tonks. He hadn't wanted to stick around for her and Charlie's confessions of love, so he had snuck out of the forest unnoticed. Overall, it was a fun little out-of-the-norm jaunt.
He slid back into his seat at the Gryffindor table, merrily grabbing another plate of toast with marmalade.

Isabella, better known as Bella, slid into the seat across from Tom, seeing as it was the closest to where she had entered the Great Hall. Smiling at her fellow Housemate and teammate, she grabbed some pancakes with sausage as she greeted him. "Hey Tom, how's it going?" she asked as she took a bite, chewing daintily.

Bella shrugged a little bit. "I'm alright. I'm thinking about going to the Pitch to practice some Quidditch later. You wanna come?" She asked before she took another bite of her food. She was going to need the practice. Despite the fact that her parents had drilled her a lot in the summer, she still felt a bit insecure about bludgers, having been unseated by one the year before.

Bella smiled. "I'm going to need your Beater expertise. I'm freaking scared of them after last year's accident." She said as she buttered a piece of toast and ate it. She was glad that Tom had agreed to go out and practice with her. She needed it. Plus, she had a bit of a crush on him. It all worked out.
(XD It's all good. I wouldn't want to either. Haha)
