I would totally buy an apocalypse pony. In any case, I'm glad I'm not the only one that has noticed that almost ALL of the horsemen poses are repeats of older items. The bow and arrow have been done before via the western zodiac AND the Eros item. (not to mention the angel bow and demon bow, though admittedly, most people use them for backwings). Then the red sword of war is the flame sword. We already have two sets of scales already, via gift of the gods and the western zodiac. And then of course, the pale scythe of death is a rehash of the lunar scythe. *edit* Holy crap, Eruravenne! Chill. I suppose choices are nice if you don't already have the item they're re-hashing, but if you do it really drives down your urge to shell out for a copy. Besides, most of us are just pissed at Gaia lately. Hell, it seems MOST of Gaia is pissed with Gaia lately. I just hope it helps them grow a clue.

Until then, save your anger for more important things. Online problems should be handled online. Just because you don't care about the changes being made doesn't mean you should try to belittle the people that do.

Okay, I'm sorry for what I'm about to say, but I can't keep this to myself anymore. You've been annoying me to no end lately. And I don't just mean a little. It seems like those who are trying to make a difference on Gaia are just being put down by you lately. Yeah, we might be whining and bitching, but if we don't whine and b***h, nothing will change. And, sorry hun, I don't have the money or the means of going to see Lanzer in person. I'm 15, it's just not going to happen. So, I have to make my voice heard through the internet.
And I'm not going to stop bitching or complaining until something is done. So, if you don't like it, too bad. I miss Gaia. I hate this new site that is going around in this big charade claiming to be Gaia. It isn't. I've been on this site since the beginning of 04 and for years it felt like it was just getting better. And suddenly it stopped being about the users. That's not what Gaia is about. It never was, and in my eyes it never should be.

And with that said, the items are okay. I'm not big on sailor moon stuff, but it's about time we got some. I sort of want the bunny thing. The four horses don't do much for me, but I'm sure someone likes them.

Can anyone say LANZER AND THE GAIA SCOUT COSPLAY!?!?
Despite all of the opinons on the items looking like other items, I like this month's MCs. What I like about it is that it gives us more choices on different items. I find the School Girl outfit really cute and you can probably do some cute stuff with it. I'm guessing part of the reason they made this MC is that most of the Gaia population (at least avi-wise) is female. The Horseman one, I have to admit, isn't really the best, but it has some cool stuff with it. I think the sword was great to put in. It looks to be related to the flame-sword, but is a little less...flamey, if you will. It looks more sinister than that of its cousin. The only reason why I think this MC isn't really grand is that of the poses of the horses themselves. It could really be done better, (maybe a mount?) maybe make it more like like the Summoning Tome dragons, or at least make it show the WHOLE body.
I really don't care if there are 200 kinds of swords on Gaia. As long as they each have their own unique look to it, then that's fine with me. Now, apparently, there were requests for more choices in bows so as long as it pleases that part of the crowd, then I don't mind. Personally, I think the sythe this month is 5 times cooler looking than the lunar sythe.
What I'm saying is that each MC every month can't be COMPLETLY different from the rests. It'll just be too difficult to accomplish every month. Even if you try to make it totally different, people will find comparisons that you didn't notice to other items, then that's a month's worth of careful thinking and planning is ruined. I'm not saying it's wrong to criticized. Our constructive criticism is what help Gaia get pushed along. People will want different things even if they come from the same thing, and Gaia tries to bring the different choices to where they can put those choices into one thing.
Oh...and screw axes. I want a giant mallet! OwO

As an 06er, I wasn't able to really embrace the "user-community" as much as the 03ers or 04ers, but I was able to get a glimpse of what Gaia was before. And I miss that a lot. Yes, change is necessary. Yes, change is good. But this is a bad change and it's taking a toll on a lot of users who have been on this site for a while.

I can look at this objectively and say "You've got some valid points." And honestly. I don't understand why there would be anyone who cares enough about this site to spend time on it, but not enough to care where it's going--or at the least, to understand why others care where it's going.

Eruravenne It's becoming more and more obvious that I really don't belong here... I can understand where you're coming from. It's very unpleasant to see thread after thread in the GCD etc. complaining about features or items Gaia has released, especially if they are features/items that you like, or at least do not find too presonally offensive.
However, it's just unfortunate that the MCs this month don't seem to have been fully thought out in respect to satisfying the needs of most Gaians. Instead of a couple of items that are relatively unique and versatile, and/or items that have been sought after by Gaians for years, we are given one item that, although lovely, is almost completely limited to a single gender, and another item where the poses that are more likely to be used are very similar to already existing items.
The release of the MCs is a pretty big event, and people generally tend to get excited about it - especially since the "Destroy the World or Help Save it" promotion raised a lot of expectations. To me, it feels like a kind of mini-Christmas, and usually the items come as a pleasant surprise biggrin
It should also be considered that this particular disappointment came after months of users gradually losing confidence in Gaia (and consequently months of users complaining about it).
Personally, I think the items aren't too bad, but previous months have shown that they can do a better job.

I think the Magical Girl item is pretty cute and a good idea but nothing much beyond that. As far as the Horsemen go, I'd feel much better about them if the art wasn't so... *shrugs*... lame? I dunno, just my opinion ^^
