NOT-SO-SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!
-From xTahirux-  Hello everyone! I have a . . . frustrating announcement for you:
I have yet to send in the money for the January 2008 letter!
Due to my extremely bad health, I have been unable to send in the money required. My real life wallet is completely dry, and I haven't been able to go to the bank because I'm sick and can't leave the house! On top of being ill, the bank is CLOSED today, Saturday, and it won't be open until Tuesday because of Martin Luther King Day!
It usually takes 2, or sometimes 3, weeks for my letters to arrive. crying
I feel horrible about this. I don't want ANY of you to feel like your being cheated; or that I'm unfair, but I honestly feel like I have been that way to you.
Therefore; the only way to be just and fair in this situation stands as thus: TEAM MEMBER TRYOUTS CANNOT AND WILL NOT CLOSE UNTIL I HAVE THE JANUARY LETTER IN MY POSSESSION!
The latest I can get the money in will be on Tuesday. All I can do is pray that the letter will come soon.
Again: I feel horribly bad about this, and feel as if I may have been dishonest by not letting you know sooner that I didn't actually have the letter yet. I was planning on sending it in shortly after I made the announcement, but my health made this impossible.
PLEASE don't let this discourage you from trying out! Our teams are still in need, and this may be a good thing to have an extension on how long tryouts last!
I'm terribly sorry, my friends. I promise that NO MATTER WHAT a letter WILL eventually come, and be given to the winner!

Feel better soon Tahiru! I'll let the ravenclaws know if they ask when tryouts close.
It's totally not a problem if you can't get the letter right away - I think I speak for all ravenclaws in saying that it's not about the bribery, it's about the Quidditch!
I've got another bottle of quidditch fix here, and we'll make it last until the stupid post office gets your letter to Gaia!

Our very own Orna has given Quidditch a January 2008 Letter!
What a beautiful, endearing sacrifice on her part! Thanks to Orna, there is no need for a delay on Quidditch tryouts!

The Team Member Tryouts have been going splendidly! I dare say we're just about ready to get the show on the road, EXCEPT with teams Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. They, especially Gryffindor, are in dire need of players! Please, if you are in either of those houses, talk to your Captain!
Depending on how many Gryffindors, and a few Hufflepuffs, try-out within the week, will determin if there will be need for delay to give them a little more time. I'd hate to have to resort to having only TWO teams instead of FOUR when we're SO close! whee
One more thing: The banners in the Quidditch News & Try-outs thread are being repaired today. My computer screen didn't show the banners were stretching the page, and I failed to put correct, guild information along with them! sweatdrop They'll be up and running in no time!

UPDATE!  Hello mates!
February first just a few days away! SEND IN YOUR FORMS ASAP, if you are interested in trying out for your house's Quiddetch team! You could win your house some points, and everyone who tries out is entered to win a January 2008 Monthly Collectible Letter! Don't mess this opprotuniteh! Teams are still a bit shabby, and we could use anyone and everyone who's willing to play!
Madame Hooch would also like to send her appologies: She's been under the weather lateleh, and unable to do much. She'd also like to thank her wonderful Captains for the hard work they've done thus far!

ANNOUNCEMENT! RESULTS ARE COMING IN!
Great news! As of February 1st, the contests are over!
The Team Captains are sending Madam Hooch the final letters approving ALL the names of those who tried out PRIOR to February 1st, and their team positions! As soon as all the letters are in, the team information will be announced, along with the winner of the January 2008 Monthly Collectible Letter and the House that wins the points for getting the most applicants!
Thess does NOT mean try-outs are OVER! As a matter of fact, try-outs never end! Thess just marks the end of the pre-season try-outs, and your chance to enter the contests! En other words: The CONTESTS are over; the TRY-OUTS are NOT!
Good luck to the contestants/applicants! You've all done a remarkable job!
